Stopped for morning coffee & pastry, first time visit.
Coffee was superb from first mouthful to the last.
Muffin & pastries were delicious. Muffin was light and tasty, not dense as you commonly find. Pastry was flaky tasted as good as it looked.
Bakery is well worth the stop. We had a chocolate eclair a coffee and hot chocolate.
Best eclair I’ve had in many years.
Real treat of a cafe on SH1 in Amberley. Delicious pies, quiche and sweet treats were a lovely surprise when we pulled over for morning tea today. Coffee not special, otherwise would have been 5 stars.
Called in on way back to CHC. Big surprise, food range looked delicious.
We had a couple of sausage rolls, (excellent )and a fruit flan, (excellent as well ) along with a couple of coffees.
Other items in cabinets looked really good and we noted a lot of locals calling in which says alot. Definitely worth stopping at.
Friendly staff and a good place to stop over for long trips with kids as the space they have is very kid-friendly and the coffee and food are great. We have been here a couple of times and would always choose this place for stop overs with the kids. They get busy but don’t get put off as they serve people pretty fast ☺️
Tried the donuts as they were my partner's favourite. They tasted amazing - right texture with the right amount of sweetness!
Paris Bakery Cafe reminded my wife of Germany. We visited Paris Bakery Cafe twice on our trip to Blenheim and Back to Christchurch. There is sitting available inside and outside. There is a toilet inside. Let's talk about the food. It is awesome. We enjoyed the delicious bread and snacks. Coffee was good too. There are a lot of peaking outside. We enjoyed this cafe and will revisit again if passing through
The most devine decadent selection of French pastries in all of Canterbury! Great coffee, and somewhere that's kid friendly with a huge black board for them to draw all over.
The custard slice is pretty damn good.. I didn't try anything else so can't comment.
Bakeries have really jumped in price since COVID.. so have reduced the amount I buy at bakeries
Friendly, chatty, pleasant staff that made you feel welcome. The food was good and a nice variety to choose from, we will be back.
