Pierre, our waiter...excellent, knowledgeable in all aspects of the menu, and wine pairings.
From the moment we entered, every aspect of dining experience was "perfect". Very rare !
I highly recommend this establishment, if you are a foodie, enjoy wine, do not like to be rushed, this is the place.
I travel the world, the Grove is the finest restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to visit.
What an amazing dinner..from the friendly greeting at the door, to the fabulous, unobtrusive service, to the delicious and adventurous food...one of the best dining experiences ever. We will definitely return when we come back to Auckland...I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. For you arethinking of dining here...do it! You won’t be disappointed..
Thank you for a wonderful evening. Your staff were faultless, from custom designed cocktail to explaining your delicious menu. The food was exquisite and the wine matches great, even including the debate on the dessert wine choice. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Simply epic dining experience! Loved our dinner there. Attentive service and really felt they wanted to please us which they did. Amazing food and lovely wine matches. Will remember as the best restaurant I have dined at ever.
Stunning meal, even better service. It doesn't get much better than a bombe Alaska topped with meringue LIVE at your table then torched and set alight with absinthe and accompanied by the most exquisitely executed kumquat souffle...and that was but ONE of seven amazing courses PLUS three amuse bouche, bread with house made butter, palate cleanser à la John Kirwan and a beautiful birthday plate for my niece who was celebrating her 14th birthday. The Wagyu...the veal courgette flower....the tomato consomme on the scampi terrine...seriously there's nothing else to say ...stunning!
Let's not lie, The Grove is undeniably the best eatery in Auckland. The best food, service, location and parking is simply that - the best.
Amazing culinary experience in the Grove on Friday. The staff was great with attention to details. Laura the sommelier was very keen to explain the wine pairing. The food was exquisite. Thank you for this moment of pure pleasure. Bravo Chef. You’re a star
Yesterday evening we went to the Grove for the second time. Again it was an unforgettable experience of hospitality and absolute world class food. A mix of contemporary and regional New Zealand food with beautiful New Zealand top white and red wines that match the food perfectly. A 10 out of 10 and we will definitely be back again!
Absolutely fabulous from the time we arrived to the time we left. The waiter staff were fantastic very friendly and professional.
The meal was absolutely devine loved every mouthful.Thank you Micheal and the team at The Grove for an amazing experience.
This was the best dining experience we have had. The food presented tasted amazing, had textural and visual appeal and as served with knowledge and passion. The service was professional but so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. A must visit restaurant.
One of the best restaurant I even try. Beautiful food, great services and what a wonderful night.
We loved it. Food and service were amazing. Would highly recommend and come back if in Auckland again.
Outstanding food, beautifully presented, but without looking over-handled. The sauce on the scampi ravioli is a poem and plate-lickingly good. Friendly service, without being overly familiar or obtrusive. Informed wine advice. Spotless toilets.
Bar tender skilled and amazing waiting staff knowledgable and catered to our every need. Food stunning Rabbit, Wagu Beef and Lobster out of this world. Thank you for the best night out in a long time.
4.6 | delicious food and drink, with some rather innovative experiences such as a absinthe waterfall, the salt cured venison, and the dry ice herb bowl. Service was incredibly friendly and fun. They were also very accommodating as we asked to switch our reservation date last minute to a Friday and they made it work! Definitely a visit if looking for fine dining in Auckland.
Very fancy restaurant in Auckland.
The menu is small in portions and you can enjoy many items.
The view from the windows is not great, but you will be satisfied with the atmosphere and food in the restaurant.
Also, the desserts are very unique.
Regrettably, the menu options for course meals are poor, but if you have any requests you should discuss them with the restaurant in advance.
We had the Valentine's Day set manu, it had a huge variety of foods. The snacks and entrees were exceptional, I really saw your growth as a restaurant compared to last year. The ingredients and presentation have become more creative and the taste and texture have become more delicate and layered. The cider sorbet was definitely the most fun one. The seafood dishes tasted especially good. In my humble opinion, the aged beef and deserts could have been improved. The aged beef was a little too salty and the deserts were a little too sweet, you could add more touches of other flavors to balance them out. I think dishes like the duck egg mushrooms and cider sorbet had more balanced flavors. This doesn't mean anything was bad, I just hold them to a high standard as most dishes were so good. Overall we loved the dinning experience! You did a great job!
Fantastic restaurant. The food and wine were fantastic. The Grove specializes in degustation so you don't choose individual dishes, even though my wife and I don't normally enjoy oysters but here they were phenomenal. The staff were all amazing from our waitress to the sommelier who just happened to be the NZ sommelier of the year.
Michael the owner was there and even though they were fully staffed he was floating around pouring wine, serving and talking to customers with his passion for the restaurant obvious.
Amazing service and food. This would be a two star Michelin if they surveyed NZ. It's really amazing and the service is over the top amazing. Vanya was my server and she was amazing with explaining everything and how it pairs with everything as it was presented. Easily the best restaurant in Auckland. Recommended
We celebrated our 37th wedding Anniversary at the Grove. The service was simply outstanding. Food was extremely tasty and delicious. Lot of surprises specially a beautiful gesture to give us a special card and complimentary sweets. Memorable experience. Thanks heaps grove for making our day a special one.
Highly recommend this wonderful fine restaurant!❤️
Every finger food gave me a supersize its actually not enough to taste 👅 haha Just Love❤️ It!
Cant believe the chef can make venison so tender and smooth.
Very professional service, plates are warm with food together every time been put on the table
whole team members are very nice friendly
Cant wait for next new course 🤩😜
We had an incredible night here and enjoyed the seven course degustation it was truly amazing. The taste pallets were well balanced the staff fantastic overall and incredibly enjoyable experience. I put it up there with the Michelin restaurants we have dined in Europe. A++++
Had a great experience for lunch today. Service was top notch. Food came in timely manner. Best of all, food was amazing. Irish friends said the roast potatoes were some of the best. I'd say the sticky date pudding was the best. Guess you can decide for yourself
Came here for our anniversary after a long lockdown. Great to see a nice vibe in this restaurant, and almost 70% around 7.45pm on a Tuesday. We picked the 6-course degustation menu and I must say, it was more like 10 courses because of the delicious hors d'oeuvres etc. Every dish was amazing, lots of flavour and well balanced which is fantastic because this restaurant dropped off our favourite list a few years back, and now it’s back on our top 10! The portion may seem small but we were full and very satisfied at the end. The service is very good as always.
