Been here twice. Once with my friends and once on my own. Staff are very friendly. Their desserts are beautifully decorated and taste amazing.
Great hot chocolate and cakes , service and vibe. I come here often! The decor is great as well. Can be a bit pricey though. Would recommend the macaroons, green tea cake. The creme brûlée is a bit too sucky sweet for me though

Ambiance 5/5 – Love their décor and the over all feel of this place! I wish they could expand so they have more seating as it gets very busy. During the winter, they also have blankets that you could use so you stay warm.
Food 5/5 – Beautiful and gorgeous desserts on display all the time! Always top notch and there’s different flavours for everyone. Their gelato is also very good and even their chocolate and biscuits on display are very enticing. I love their hot drinks and the cute designs on top of them! They are a bit more pricy than regular hot drink/desserts, but the overall experience is worth it imo.
Staff and Service 5/5 – People are always lovely here. Staff are always warm and friendly even during the peak busy hours.

The creme brûlée was amazing!! The refreshing sourness of the passion fruit balanced out the sweetness of the cream brûlée. Rich, smooth but not heavy at all. Love it!
If you want to satisfy your sweet cravings, this is the best place ! You will find all kind of sweet treats like fancy macaroons, cold gelatos, decadent hot chocolates, homemade chocolates, luxurious desserts. All the sweets over here are royally luxurious, delightfully rich, reasonably satisfying and delicious. One of my all time favourite is smoked hot chocolate 😍
Rating 3.5 The desserts and chocolates here all looked decadent and beautiful. Didn’t have time to dine in and got some macaron & chocolates to go. Definitely lovely treats, especially the macaron, with a bouncy chewy biscuit. The chocolates were ok, a bit dry lacking some milkiness.

totally adore this place! we ordered the waffles, and they were soft, sweet and had a perfect combination of flavors. super yummy every time, very instagramable and great service.
Prices are a little on the steep size but the atmosphere is great and service is nice and polite. The cheesecake itself was really delicious and a good portion for what you pay for. Overall a good experience.

The desserts here are all amazing. It can be a bit pricey but is worth it. Staff is nice. Great place to have your dessert after a long hard week at work.
Are you after a sugar rush? You came to the right place! You will find all things sweet here. Like delicate macarons and decadent hot chocolates which you will keep craving days after. The only downside its quiet a small place and it's very popular, so you will have people waiting for tables and which makes you rush with your meal as you feel for others standing outside. Definitely not a place you can relax casually but it's a place to be delighted and surprised at least for a brief moment.
Explaining what’s on the menu would help to make it easier for customer to decide.
I have been here multiple times and enjoyed it every single time! Service is very good and they always make sure your water glass is full :) Food is also very enjoyable.
A few friends and I up ended up at Miann rather spontaneously after dinner on Queen Street. We enjoyed Miann’s warm hospitality and how it was surprisingly not that crowded for a Friday night.
There was no shortage of interesting treats to try in all sorts of flavours, but I stuck to the double-scoop ice cream – which, at $13, was cheaper than their cookie sandwich. The two generous scoops of deliciousness I got were just the right amount of richness for an after-dinner treat. The Bomb Alaska really did taste like its namesake and was perfectly complemented by the 63% columbian chocolate ice cream.
Keep up the good work, Miann! I’m looking forward to coming back already :)
The best mocha I have ever had in town. Their own manufactured chocolate with a little bit bitter flavour is well combined with coffee. Desserts are look nice and most of them taste good.
Love the matchamisu cake so good, which was not too sweet with beautiful matcha flavour. Their ice cream’s alway great. But I have to say the chocolate cake does need to be improved. The dark chocolate with coconut and raspberry combination tasted so weird... too bitter and weird. My friend couldn’t even finish half of it.
Miann is always a safe choice. I love coming in having one usual and one new thing from the cabinet! Their service was phenomenal.
We had an amazing experience at miann and I’ll continue to come here whenever I’m needing my sweet tooth to be satisfied- the quality of the food and drinks is 10/10

The staff service is really good. Our glass is always filled with water while we are waiting for our deserts. Some of the deserts is freshly made and take a bit longer than the ready made ones. The deserts variety is good, from deserts to ice cream and chocolates.

Came here for dessert last night. The desserts looked soo good! The different components were well paired, however, some of the flavours were a little bland for my liking.
The mango, coconut saga (?) Didn't have any coconut taste. Sweetness level was perforfect but didn't really have any taste.
Creme brulee was really nice- one of my favourite.
Waffle was pretty good, but not outstanding.
I love their ice cream flavours though so next time, I guesss I'll just stick to ice cream and macaroons

Thanks to Instagram we got introduced to this place, a discovery after my wife saw their scrumptious desserts posted by Aucklanders. After having a dinner in the city we managed to drop by this place at Fort St. At first we thought they had moved as it’s near the end of the street far from other restaurants and eateries in the place.
Always a busy place. I’m not too fussed with their cabinet food but I do love their plated desserts. The presentation is always top notch and taste amazing. The service is also very good. The menu is also ever changing.
Can’t quite remember what I ordered but it was so good !!! Staff was very accommodating and friendly. She even helped us choose what to order because we were indecisive. The serving size was also quite big, and two people could share it.
10/10 would come back here again.

Recently, I've had an almond matcha latte which was delicious, and then a real dark chocolate hot chocolate drink, which was a bit too bittersweet and rich for me.
My friend got the most decked out hot chocolate which was absolutely beautiful and I wish there was a vegan version. Her hot chocolate was approx $11, and my almond hot choc was $9. It's a sad, expensive life when you're allergic to dairy.
Miann is a bit on the pricey side, but is a nice treat for every once in a while. I'll be back for the vegan cabinet dessert soon 😊

Came in before closing time and were instantly greeted by staff, Me and my girlfriend ordered the Creme Brulee and the Apple + Feijoa Crumble. The Feijoa was not too over powering which was good, and the Creme Brulee was one of the best we have eaten, it had a nice taste when combined with the peach and lemon sorbet.. Will definately come back again :)

I was craving a sweet hot chocolate and i really enjoyed the special hot chocolate! There is a small square of chocolate, crumble topping, along with biscuits that can be dipped in to the rich hot chocolate and a chocolatey marshmallow on the side. The top part is really sweet and the bottom was slightly bland so make sure to stir so the too and bottom get mixed. Great service too. Place is small so expect a lot of people.

Popped by for a quick dessert after Paul Sinha's comedy show on Sunday night. It was less than 45 minutes until closing time; staff was pretty accommodating and friendly, and set-up a table for the four of us. Felt like ordering everything on the a la carte menu but we ended up agreeing on the waffle and the cheesecake.
Waffle: warm crisp waffle with caramelized banana and toasted hazelnuts and chocolate gelato. I like the gelato - smooth texture with the cookie/brownie folded through, not sickly sweet. The toasted hazelnuts gave a good crunch and texture to the dish. Banana element - too firm and slightly under-ripe, I'd prefer ripe bananas.
Deconstructed Cheesecake: aerated cream cheese mixture with a bed of crumbled biscuits, jelly cubes, mini light and fluffy cakes, sorbet, and garnished with micro herbs. Very nicely presented in a clear glass jar with lid. I enjoyed every mouthful but the cream cheese flavour was not that prominent. Sorbet was nice and tart - I could envision myself eating a whole tub of it ☺

This dessert parlour is like an actual restaurant where you order off the menu with a worker servicing you throughout your meal.
The woman introduced us to the dessert special of the day and brought us cutlery, and water.
Everyone inside the restaurant looks very busy but they are always very friendly and happy to help at any time.
Food: 9/10
We ordered the pecan waffles and creme brûlée.
The pecan waffles were gorgeously plated with two waffles and many different toppings. The waffles were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside, but it tasted a little too much like baking soda. The brownies were very sweet and chewy alongside the gooey salted caramel. The coldness of the gelato contrasted the warm waffles and also added some delicious chocolatey decadent flavour to the dish.
The creme brûlée was very creamy on the inside with a hard torched sugary layer on top. The tartness of the feijoa contrasted the sweetness of the creme brûlée.
Ambiance: 10/10
Miann is an elegant place to dine that doesn’t completely burn your wallet.
The dark tones throughout the restaurant creates a really calm and romantic atmosphere.
The desserts and treats are all beautifully organised for your selection.
There isn’t much seating so you have to get in quick but at least it’s not cramped and uncomfortable.
The bathroom is actually so clean and looks so fancy.
Miann has recently become my favourite dessert restaurant and I can’t wait to bring my friends here.

Easily one of our favourite dessert spots of Auckland. The waffles are absolutely picturesque and delicious. Got got ry the salted caramel this time and it definitely disappoint. Also, ordered a balloon which we thought looked amazing but is extremely sour and we didn't even finish the dish. Don't get the cold green tea but instead, get the white chocolate green tea as it tastes so much better. All in all, great desserts which the staff have carefully assembled with great care and detail.

Service is AMAZING! comparing to my visit to Miann Britomart on Sunday, Miann Fort St should get a 10 stars! I ordered a Tart Tatin today, although I am not a fan of fruit tarts, this was so delicious! It’s not too sweet and it looks so cute with the apple on top. I also had a strawberry soda which was very tasty. The store is not as fancy as Britomart but the environment is nice, inside almost have a vintage feel to it, there are two tables outside and plenty of tables inside. Would definitely come back for more!

IMPECCABLE. You know, sometimes I’m unsure whether I should just skip dinner altogether before coming to Miann. Everything on their A la Carte Menu are impeccable and always a hit. They look great, taste great and come in generous servings for a luxury dessert restaurant. I love their balloons that have an icey, cool refreshing shell that you can break into, exposing a heavenly sorbet (or gelato) that is all accompanied by ripe, succulent fruits scattered around. The first time trying it was a fun and memorable experience, something you must try!
Their Crème brûlée is also to die for, as it has the perfectly crunchy caramelised sugar above a bed of silky, smooth custard. It seems as though so many places aren’t able to get the top layer of caramelised sugar crunchy enough for my liking but Miann gets it just right. And if you don’t have room for the A la Carte Menu, there is a large range to choose from, starting with Petit Gateaux, to Gelato, Macarons & Bon Bons.
The staff are really friendly and great at reciting menus, introducing words I’ve never heard of before to make me even more confused as to what I’m supposed to choose (perhaps a bit more detail in the menu would be good). Miann is a true gem of Auckland CBD that is conveniently located in Britomart and Fort St.

Pretty expensive price for desserts but they are all delicately made with high quality ingredients and looks aesthetically beautiful. You can eat-in or takeaways some of the desserts. Great for girls day out or date night. It definitely satisfies your desserts cravings and you would be tempted to try many different types of desserts.
There are two Miann in the city. This one is better, as it has another hidden menu, which serves better dessert like what you can eat at a fine dinning restaurant. You can ask the waiter for that menu. The another one at Britomart only served cakes and desserts at the counter, more like a fast food Miann. But all of them tastes quite nice.
Went there to celebrate our anniversary! Ordered items from the cabinet and staff offered free bonbons for our anniversary, yeah! The creme brule is really nice and the chocolate milk shake just gone in few minutes since was a hot afternoon. Will definitely come back again to try other desserts.
Peanut butter and jam waffles were to die for, so much texture in this tasty treat. The apple crumble waffles were also amazing and tasted just like apple pie with the crunch of a waffle

We went in to have a late night dessert and hot drinks. They had a new menu, and the wait staff did an excellent job in explaining us all the dishes and they always have pictures to show of every dessert, which is always help to decide what to get. Only let down was the flat white I ordered was not hot, but the chocolate drinks were really good.

Miann on Fort Street offers plated desserts (along with ice cream and cabinet items) whereas the Britomart store doesn't.
Oh they also have waffles!
You can tell that each item on the A la Carte menu has been meticulously thought through and created. The menu offers a variety of flavour profiles from your rich chocolate to refreshing and fruity.
Whilst the desserts are delicious, I would still give them a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 as they don't offer that "wow" factor when eaten; that feeling you get when you first take a bite and it absolutely blows you away.

One of the best macaroons I have had 4.5/5 not soft and wet from condensation like many I have had. My favourite the matcha green tea. This dessert (red) was to die for! Creamy with strong vanilla and strawberry flavours with a beautiful biscuit base 4.5/5. While the ice cream was super creamy, not too sweet with bites of pistachio 4/5 .

Portions are not big, so some may find the desserts expensive. Never a dull moment in Miann. You can see the people working in the kitchen making the desserts and the huge variety of sweets/creations. Perfect for sweet tooth’s and date nights.
One thing we found out that the website offered a subsidised parking from a certain time. However when we approached the waitress it seemed no one knew anything about this or bothered to follow up to contact the manager / update the website. Other than this small issue, customer service and everything is great.
Best dessert shop in town. A lot space to sit and talk. Relaxed music and fancy dessert made my day bright. U can also choose gift pack from side of the shop.
Their desserts are just other-worldly! Waffles were soft but not soggy, with just the right amount of chocolate. The presentation of all their desserts is exceptional, and the taste is just as outstanding! Though ‘The Balloon’ dessert could be a little bigger, especially compared to some of the other desserts, since they all cost $18. Would definitely revisit!
We came here for a late night treat for our boys and I was craving a creme brulee. I'm so glad we went. The vanilla creme brulee had just the right amount of sweetness and the sugar on top was done perfectly. Although we were given extras as a side dish I preferred my brulee on it's own. The portion size was very generous and it could have been shared. Only one of our boys (Master 5) missed out because he only wanted orange juice or plain chocolate. Everything were too fancy for his simple his tastebud. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Nice vibe and atmosphere.
Probably the best place for a wide variety of different deserts. Only had one issue with mixup from ordering but was quickly resolved. No complaints at all.
The little booth located on Fort Street offers an extensive range of desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ranging from the cakes in the cabinet to the delicates listed on the menu, everything looks utterly delicious and mouth watering! It was so difficult trying to choose what to order - ended up getting the daily dessert (on the menu) which was a sundae loaded with chocolate, gelato, fruits, brownie pieces, all topped with a waffle. The mix of fresh fruit and gelato with the sweeter caramel and chocolate bits achieves a good balance of sweet but not sickening. The size was good to share between two.
The waitress was really pleasant and patient while we decided on our orders. She explained to us the different options and showed us photos of what to expect. Recommendations were offered with professionalism as well as a touch of personal preference. The waitress was approachable and friendly, making the experience all the more better!

Great specialty dessert restaurant. You have the option of cabinet or dine-in dishes and both are amazing in terms of the presentation and also quality of the flavours.

Having been to the Koi Dessert Bar in Sydney (which is supposed to be excellent as the chef appeared on Masterchef Au) I think Miann is BETTER than Koi
This little dessert parlour is something I go to mainly to obsess over how pretty the treats are than how good they taste. The actual taste to me is always a bit too sweet, but I’m personally not someone who’s got a massive sweet tooth. One little treat and I swear off sugar for a week. Regardless the desserts are gorgeous!
I have been here couple of time after dinner with my group of friend. They have wide variety of desserts to dine in or buy as a gift. However, the taste was not impressive. They are quite sweet and dry for me. Their drink is ok.
I like their staffs, they are friendly and take care of customer well. They have more seating place compare to Milse which really hard to have available table immediately. Cosy and friendly ambience. A nice place to hang with friends. It is still in my list of dessert place in Auckland central.

Always love my dessert experiences here. Even when it’s super busy, staff are on point and accomodating. The food in the cabinet and a la carte are all so enticing that it’s so hard to choose. The menu is always changing and there’s always something new to try. Such a bonus that you can see the chefs creating everything too. Great place to get food gifts (mostly for myself haha)
The pecan waffle was very good, though I would say it’s a little bit too sweet for me. I would like they to be some acidity in the dish, though it is very crunchy and creamy.
I think this is my favourite dessert parlour so far (out of miann and oko and gateau house). Their ambience is great and their service is good as well. At fort street they also have an a la carte menu. I tried the waffles and they were delicious. Their pavlova gelato is also amazing.
This place is heaven for dessert lovers. I had visited this place last weekend for the first time and had fallen in love with it instantly. Tried out Balloon from a la carte and Whaaaattaaa dessert. Couldn't resist and wanted to try out every dessert on that menu. Going either today or tomorrow again. Highly recommended. Cheers!

My new favourite spot for crème brûlée! Completely in love with this place; their a la carte menu desserts are always to such a high standard. The beautifully presented toppings pair very nicely with each other, the fresh crunch of apple spheres work so nicely with the other sweets and the tangy sorbet inside the apple shell, and ultimately balance the sweetness of the creme brûlée itself really well, which is also done to a very high standard. (Although, I believe they have changed the menu and the ingredients on the creme brûlée will be different now) Their hazelnut hot chocolate was also very very good, it was not too sweet but rich enough and very comforting and soothing. Overall highly recommend this place, it is quite on the pricey side but in my opinion it is definitely worth going at least once, and perhaps as a nice treat for future occasions. I would recommend ordering something on the A la Carte menu or their waffles, as their gateaux menu is still very delicious but not quite as compelling.
I came here back when it was newly opened a few years ago and have absolutely loved it! I don’t know if they do their balloon dishes anymore but those were a real highlight. Their tubs of salted caramel are also to DIE for. Definately a good place for an afternoon sweet treat!

Came here on Waffle Wednesday with a friend. I ordered the Nutella waffles which are the lower waffles in the picture, and my friend ordered the apple crumble waffles. The staff were very kind, friendly and accommodating. The waffles are delicious, worth every dollar in my opinion. For $18 you get one thick waffle that’s crunchy on the outside and fluffy and soft inside, topped generously with delicious gelato, sauces and other things. The atmosphere is great.
Cosy place, quality is definitely there. I had the S'mores waffle, the consistency of the cream, waffle and the biscuit is perfect, making each bite very enjoyable. Personally I am not a dessert person so it was a little bit too sweet at the end. I will try something that is not completely filled with chocolate next time. The display of their selections are top notch.

The best dessert place in Auckland in my opinion. The staff are incredible friendly and the food is even better. You can choose from a number of options, cabinet desserts, the A la carte menu, ice cream on a stick or gelato Sundaes in a bowl.

They have special events too, $50 for a ticket to their 6 course dessert event.
Love everything about this place from the coffees to the detailed handmade deserts. Everything is to die for. They can be a bit pricey though however worth every penny xx

I ordered the “Mandarin” and crunchy peanut macaron while my friend ordered the “pear” and cheesecake macaron. Mandarin dessert literally tasted like mandarin. The moment I put my fork there, there was a nice smell of mandarin. The hazelnut bits inside contracted with the smooth texture which was a nice combination. And the PARLINE! That was the best part of the dessert I tasted! It was a bit crunchy and delicious.
Always a big fan of macaron and peanut butter and the macaron definitely fulfilled both of my cravings.
For my friend’s Pear, we were a bit disappointed because the mousse was smooth but tasteless. We barely tasted anything like pear but the roasted pecans inside were nice.
Staff were really friendly also. However they don’t put prices next to the dessert so it may be a bit hard for people with limited budget. Anw I will come back again because other desserts look tempting also
I’ve heard great things about Miann but had assumed they wouldn’t have gluten/dairy free options - I wish I hadn’t! Was so exciting to find amazing, delicious dessert options that cater for special dietary needs.
Went on a date last night to Miann for Waffle Wednesday and as expected it was amazing! We tried the Nutella Waffles. The flavours went so well together and I thought the banana brûlée was creative! It's the perfect dessert for a winter night out. The setting is cute and the staff are friendly! Can't wait to come back and buy a little Chewbacca chocolate ;)

Miann is incredible!! Firstly the lady that served my friend and I was so so lovely and gave us free hot chocolate, so friendly and kind. The s’mores waffles were delicious, waffles were crisp and had a lovely bite, gelato was creamy but didn’t melt fast and become make the waffles mushy. The marshmallows were creamy and soft. Beautiful combination, such a treat. Miann will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!
Thought the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Really impressed that there were a couple of vegan options and the hot chocolate is highly recommended with almond milk! It gets busy but the staff are always really professional.
i got the s’mores waffles and they were so good i can’t find the words to describe how good they were so ur just gonna have to trust me on this one i was so upset when i finished them wow a real emotional rollercoaster but definitely worth it
Finally visited this place! Waffle Wednesdays which was perfect timing. Had to have the Nutella one while my friends had the Apple Crumble and Smores. The nutella had this gelato which was so yummy, it even had a caramelized banana which goes perfectly with the waffles. My friend said his Smores waffles wasnt too sweet at all. The chocolate walnut cake was also the perfect balance of sweetness in a cake. So satisfied overall. The place was busy and it can be hard to get a seat but the staff was really helpful and friendly. One of my top favorite dessert places definitely.
Very busy little place with gorgeous desserts of all sorts. I had the ballon which was coconut ice cream wrapped in a passionfruit flavoured shell on top if sago, meringue and passionfruit puree. Unless you have a mixture of of all those elements at once on your spoon, the taste can be quite tart but 5igther it worked very well together.
My friends ordered the creme brulee and smores waffle. They were just as satified with their dish as mine. Have to go back for their range of cakes, gelato and lots of other sweets.

I'm not sure what will happen to me first because of Miann - tooth decay or diabetes. Either way I'll still come here for their delicious desserts. Yes it's expensive, but it's just too good. Great service from them too!

Slightly overpriced but SO YUM! All the food looks almost too pretty too eat. We all went for some of their little cakes on display but will definitely come back for other desserts as well.
My friend and I popped in here for some dessert after our dinner before we went to the Halsey concert. The staff are really friendly and helpful and I love that they put little blankets on the chairs.

We had bomb alaska (in a cone and cup respectively) and some mini doughnuts to share. Both were beautifully made, amazing flavours. I had always wanted to try bomb alaska and I do not regret it, it was so good. Definitely would recommend, the quality is excellent.

As said in my review of Miann Britomart - I'm not big on sweets/desserts. However, Miann's a la carte menu has nailed it, textures and flavours are great and nothing is sickly sweet. Staff are kind and even whipped out a gallery on their phone to show us pictures of the desserts before we made a decision. Great service.

Donut was amazing. The filling and dough itself was flavourful. The reindeer ice cream's chocolate outside layer was so rich and matched so well with the ice cream inside. The snowman was also delicious. The outside layer and the inside always compliment each other. I don't know how Miann manages to make all their cakes like this. Would definitely come again to try their famous Bombe Alaska. Chicken macaroon was cookies and cream flavour. Loved the chocolate cream inside. It was the perfect match with the chocolate tea.
I had a baklava and pistachio ice cream here and it was surprisingly fabulous. When you enter the place, it looks like a harry potter movie. Dark and cosy...many people working....and lots of beautiful colourful cakes. Ice cream flavours are different and are not like normal and mediocre tastes. I will definitely go there again to taste the whole store! Strongly recommended.
This place is quite a walk from Uni but I can tell you it’s well worth it if you’re craving some sugar! Definitely would come here again, the lady who served us was super genuine and lovely! Great service and desserts 👍🏼 💕
What a Devine place to dine! I loved this place, my husband took me here for a little date and we both absolutely loved it. Firstly, my husband is not a dessert person, however he really enjoyed his gelato ice cream on a cone and also enjoyed a taste of my sundae. Sundae of the day is just boss as! We also tried their decadent chocolates and it was amazing. I definitely recommend this place to all my chocolate/dessert lovers out there 😍😍 worth every mouthful!

Love this dessert place. We ordered one gelato, one balloon, one dark chocolate dessert and two mocktails. The gelato is my favourite (mocha tea& Black sesame) as I had to hold myself not having a second one😂 the dark chocolate dessert tastes smoothly and the sweetness is just right. The balloon looks beautiful. It also tastes quite different compared to any dessert I had before.
Mojito is really really sour but I reckon it’s a good match with sweets. The margarita is peach flavour, and has sea salt on the top. My family really likes it;-)
Tried the 4 course tasting menu, it's amazing how creative they are. Each dish looked too good to eat. A mixture of sweet and tangy. The mango sandwich was the pick for me. The gin and tonic was a wee bit too tart for taste.
I come to Miann quite often these days and I’m never disappointed! every time there are new desserts and treats to try and I’ve never had anything that I really didn’t like. The service is excellent and while the seating space is relatively limited now due to its growing popularity it’s definitely worth the wait! I got the chocolate and cherry balloon from the current menu and the new limonana mint and lemon drink which was really good! Absolutely love coming here and trying all the amazing a la carte and cabinet treats ☺️
Dainty desserts on a weekday night. An ambiance of intimacy and precision, it's not a surprise that Miaan is a popular date spot for couples. We had two desserts and shared a hot cocoa, it definitely tasted as great as it looks.

Hop skip and a jump from Lucky Buddha with the most amazing Sundae ive ever had. There isnt nearly enough seating, causing the place itself to get quite stuffy.

My favourite!! I’ve been itching to try the creme brûlée here for awhile now and finally got to the day to try it. Best decision ever. No words but it was perfection. We came in when it was quiet. Service was perfect, immaculate presentation of their desserts and the creme brûlée 5/5. It was smooth and delicious and not disgustingly sweet.
The service was really good. Staffs were very welcoming and helpful, but the desserts were abit too sweet for my liking. Overall presentation is presentable and beautiful.

The desserts are a treat to your eyes and ofcourse to your palette. Ordered 3 Balloons, Creme Brûlée, and a passionfruit sorbet.
Everything was top notch. Its priced reasonably for having a sweet tooth once a fortnight. Staff is friendly. He actually showed us the dessert photos on the ohone before ordering.

We came here on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday. We ordered the balloon, melon, and crepe brûlée. The tables were full inside so we sat outside as it wasn’t that cold during the night.
All the dishes were really well presented. The balloon had a really sweet chocolaty-grape taste to it which we really enjoyed. The inside is what you would really enjoy and be surprised about if you like fruits.
The creme brûlée was probably the best dish for us as the rummy sweetness taste was what I wanted after a big dinner. The toasted nuts added the crunchy texture and the fruits in top added the refreshing touch. The texture of the brûlée was indeed creamy, but it wasn’t very thick or runny and baked just right.
The melon was more of a summer dessert and it’s suitable for hot nights. The texture was more like shaved ice and the touch of mint leaves gives it a refreshing taste and smell. The rock melons were sweet, and you have to mix the dish well or else you could have a spoonful of very sour or just the normal sweetness.
The portions were decent for $15 of good quality desserts and the service was excellent as our waiter showed us photos of each dish on his phone before ordering.

Nothing excites me like a cabinet full of desserts. Then there's gelato at the end of that cabinet... Then wait, I turn around and there's a table full of artisan chocolate! All of this surrounded by beautiful decor = heaven. The only problem at this point is that my stomach isn't big enough for me to devour everything before my eyes. We tried 3 of the desserts, they were delicious and delicate, but my fav was actually the tropical sorbet. It was just so smooth, refreshing and the balance between sweet and tang was perfect. The staff were super friendly too so the whole experience made my day :)
The service was amazing and the people working there were so nice and welcoming! The desserts are so unique and they taste so good. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’ve been here multiple times and have been saving my review for the absolute jaw-dropping experience. Last night Miann delivered.
As expected, it was buzzing on a Saturday night. We got a double scoop of Baklava gelato and Salted Caramel gelato and a 55% Itakuja cake.
The Salted Caramel blew me away! I was lost for words to describe it, I was too busy getting more spoonfuls if it! There’s crunchy caramel chunks mixed amongst the creamy salted caramel gelato. The caramel chunks ARE AN ABSOLUTE BLISS. I was craving for something with a crunch to it and I am blimmin glad I got this, it delivered 10/10. The caramel chunks almost tasted like roasted macadamias!!! It was a mouthful of magic I’m telling you. There was also giant chunks of brownie to complete the texture and balance out the flavours. Would definitely recommend!
The Baklava reminds you exactly of the traditional Turkish sweet puff pastry filled with crushed pistachio and walnut goodness. You can find pieces of pastry and pistachios and walnuts in the gelato.
The 55% Itakuja cake caught our eye because of the play-up between chocolate and passionfruit. It was interesting—an unexpected burst of citrus tang making its way over the chocolate. It kind of tasted like Whitaker’s Kiwifruit chocolate, or Cadbury’s Marvellous Creations. It is a bit of a hit and miss though, you’ll either like it or you won’t.
Their other cabinet cakes are definitely worth getting though!

it was my first time going to miann where i had the creme brulee and it tasted just right. didnt have to wait too long for the dessert to come. staff was really welcoming and kind, and took the time to come explain the menu and fill our water up. will definitely return again for more delicious desserts, the cool atmosphere that is made great by the friendly staffs.
Always love dessert time in Miann, we have been here a few times, tried dishes from menu or cabinet and sundays. Love them all. My favourite sunday is green tea mango.
Miann always busy but service was super efficient. All staff were helpful and attentive.

Crazy! I have never tried deserts like what this place presents. Three of us tried different desserts/ice cream. Each one of them were so wonderfully made and most importantly they were not too sweet. Each desert contains several different flavours. I felt almost guilty to eat them.
If you want to impress your girl friend this is the one you must take her to. Highly recommend without any hesitation.

Been here a couple of times and each time when I visit again, I am always curious to see what they have available this time. I think of the space as a small getaway to chill and have a chat thanks to the lighting and smooth simplistic design. I ordered a double scoop where the first flavour is Passionfruit & Mango and the second is Salted Caramel and Macadamia. The Passionfruit & Mango had a nice zing to it whereas when I tried the Salted Caramel and Macadamia, it was a little strong in flavour in some areas and just right in others. It contained with chunks of nuts and caramel. The staff here are patient - they don’t want you to feel pressured to make a decision right away. Especially when there are many sweet options to decide from. It can be pricey, but it’s worth going here for a treat or to buy a gift for someone.
If you are a sweet tooth like me, u will love this place! They have variety of amazing gelato and unique tea selection! It a mission to try all the dessert off the menu but it definitely worth it!

Popped in here for late night dessert treat! The Chilli hot chocolate was fabulous and the ice-creams were yummy. Wasn't a fan of the other desserts and it was all very expensive. Service was fantastic however and the atmosphere was buzzing.

I went there after I failed a test, so I was literally on a eat till I drop mode and THANK GOD I WENT MIANN.
I've always wanted to try this place because I absolutely love desserts, but I'm not a fan of really really sweet things. The cake I got was some dark chocolate mousse and brownie (sorry can't really remember the name) but it was AMAZING. The waitress was really patient while I was trying to decide which cake I wanted and she had explained how each of them were made, giving me recommendations to fit my flavour. The cake was honestly made to perfection, the combination between the smooth mousse and brownie base was to die for.
I also tried their pistachio baklava gelato and it was so good. Being a big pistachio fan, I must say this is one of the best ice creams I've ever had. I also had a few samplers of their other flavours which were all yummy but it still came down to the pistachio flavour.
Their service were also exceptional, provided us with napkins and water. Price is also definitely acceptable for its service and quality.
To go toilet, they gave you a whisk with an access card because their toilet could only be accessed by their customers. I found that so cute and creative and everyone had a laugh from my snapchat story.
Honestly this place made my night after having a shit test, but that didn't even matter anymore.
Love this place, would come here often with friends and afternoon 5/5 for everything.

I've heard of great things about this place since forever, but have never bothered to try it. Today I realized that all this time I've been missing out!
The interior design was modern, simplistic, yet the ambience was romantic. The wife selection of desserts in the cabinet was absolutely mouth-watering!
The lady who served us was the sweetest soul and gave wonderful recommendations. I had the dessert of the day, which was salted caramel brownie sundae. It was the perfect balance of flavours and textures - the caramel was dark and rich, the macaroon was yummy and chewy, and the chocolate ice cream was creamy and not overly sweet. Definitely the best sundae that I've had.
Husband had the creme brûlée which looked as pretty as a picture, and the raspberry gave it a nice tangy flavour. The serving size was huge and totally worth the price, considering that is how much one would pay for a dessert at any European restaurant.
The Rooibos cream caramel tea was lovely. Could not really taste the caramel, but the fragrance was very pungent.
All in all this place was a little piece of heaven and definitely worth all the hype. We could not wait to return with friends.
This was my first time at Miann and I couldn't stop grinning. As soon as I entered I smelt caramelized sugar and was greeted with a colourful cabinet full of sweet treats. The atmosphere is moody and intimate and would be perfect for a to-go dessert or small groups.
We came here for some frozen dessert. They have unique selection with 12 interesting flavours. You can try the flavours beforehand and decide which one you like best.
I got a half scoop of their Passionfruit & Mango, Wild Strawberry, Lychee sorbet and Raspberry sorbet. They were both vegan and gluten-free. They were delicious and refreshing. The raspberry was nice and tart and my favourite of the two. I found the passionfruit and mango slightly too sweet but I did enjoy the wild strawberry bits.
I wish they had more vegan options, a creamy gelato as well as the sorbet options. Personally, I find Miann overpriced but there are things at Miann that you can't try anywhere else. It's an experience worth trying out.
The chef can whip up something vegan for you to eat in on request. Will update my review when I try this. I had the banana and chocolate sorbet which was so lovely, not too rich and surprisingly refreshing.
Where do I even begin? Miann served some of the best desserts I've ever had, from cakes to menu dishes. The presentation is beautiful and the flavours compliment each other so well. I even found myself trying flavours I wouldn't usually try! Service was great and staff were extremely knowledgable of their products. A must go if you live in or visiting Auckland.

Dessert heaven!!! Went there a couple of times with girlfriends. Laege selection from cake, gelato stick, chocolate, dessert plate etc. My favourite has to be the Balloon and the salted caramel sandae. Unfortunately the sundae flavour changes everyweek, I went back again for the sundae but it's no longer salted caramel😔...
Amazing experience at Miann! The staff are super friendly and patiently explained what each dessert is to us. I followed their instagram after my visit and their story is full of cute inside peaks of their dessert makers and stuff! We ended up ordering the three that they said were most popular and wow, definitely didn't disappoint. The decor is another plus - very pretty and comfortable, I'll definitely be going back to try something new ^_^
Service is really amazing here and a lot more space vs Milse. Cabinet food was not that great so i would recommend waiting and ordering from the Al La Carte menu for sure!
Their macarons are a little bit pricier than Milse and personally I feel their flavours are not as great as Milse. But the macarons have been executed professionally as you can tell from the rise. The cream and ganache inside is always delicious and always goes well with the shell.
I love everything about Miann! Whenever I'm having tantrums my husband just bring me to Miann. They're always upto date, somewhat innovative. I got my pokeball dessert from them. Wittiest 2016 idea
The ambience was so lovely and cozy. The waitress was so friendly and very helpful in letting us taste the different flavours of ice cream on offer. We chose items in the cabinet only and some ice cream but everything looks so aesthetic. Prices are reasonable but lean towards the expensive side - but I think it is very worth it. I would highly recommend this place and it's somewhere I'm definitely going back to again ^_^
It's always a good night when it ends with Miann. Staff is always friendly and helpful in particular explaining the menu. However, the menu doesn't change much.
Great service, the waitress was very knowledgable of the menu and explained each dish to us which was helpful for choosing what to order! I had the 'watermelon balloon' dish and it was nice and very visually appealing, but I didn't think it tasted extraordinary! Nice and a novel idea.
Overall, I would recommend Miann as they have some very creative dishes and the desserts in the cabinet looked amazing :)

Still go to place when me and my partner is craving for nice dessert =) I always have Vietnamese coffee with balloon. I love how they changes the menus depending of season. Lovely staffs with lovely presentation of desserts.
Their lychee and strawberry chocolate moose cake is everything. It has a delicious crust at the bottom and has a perfect balance of textures and flavors. It's a bit pricey but worth it. If you haven't tried it you're missing out!

This place never fails to amaze. The deserts as always were perfect, just the right size and the flavours are always spot on. Brought my parents in tonight and they loved it, great place with something for everykind of sweet tooth
Enjoying watching a cooking show? Well, you can see a LIVE one here. I forgot to breath when the chefs were creating their magic from the kitchen. Completely mesmerized by every single item in the shop. I tried the gelato and the best cup of hot chocolate I have ever had. I was lucky to be there before the busy time, so easy to get a seat and enjoyed a nice conversation with the servers. From what I have observed, I can tell that the team is both humbled and proud to what they have achieved so far, which also shows in their food & drink! He tino pai.
The highlight of this Miann other than their amazing desserts has to be their friendly staff!
Working in the same building as Miann, I naturally visit them for takeaway treats all of the time. The staff are always friendly!
Their cabinet desserts are so amazing and very reasonably priced for the effort that must have gone into making them all look like art! I'm still on my mission to try them all out.
I have only dined in once, it was a great experience! The waiter explained all the different desserts with enthusiasm which made me want to order everything. The presentation of all the desserts were great, everything was very delicately done.
Overall, great experience and would dine in again to try other things on the menu!

They always introduce something exciting and different every now and then....so it entices people to come back. Love this place! From Fort St and now they move to Galway St.

A famous dessert shop that gets girls into sweet. We ordered Balloon, 62% Miann House Chocolate (cold), Petit Gateaux and Macarons. I really envy pastry chef that makes so wonderful dessert! They taste great and are highly recommended.
Excellent service and lots of different options to suit everyone's taste. Staff are super friendly and are great at recommending the most popular desserts. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, perfect place to go later on in the night after dinner
I love Miann! It has a different vibe to Milse which is great if you just want to sit and chill with your dessert. In my opinion the cabinet at Miann is the best part, whereas the menu at Milse is a bit better. It is such a nice place to go to at any time of the day, any occasion!
Absolutely my favourite dessert place in town. Came two different times and both desserts were amazing. They always change the desserts on the la carte, if you aren't tight on money order one of those dishes instead of the ones on display. They are pricier like the strawberry sundae but really worth it.
The desserts on display are also great and as seen in the photo with three plates, they are also super filling and not too sweet. The visuals of the desserts are always top notch and the prices for them are definitely worth it. If I'm in town and need dessert for after dinner this will always be my go to place.
This is a brilliant place in a busy wonderful part of Auckland. The selection is huge, with dishes from the menu or the cabinet. Each dessert from the menu is phenomenal with risky flavour combinations at times that work so well. Such a treat to come here and it is a lovely experience not just a meal.
Yip, 4.9/5 on Zomato for a good reason. Well done on good food that looks great but tastes even better. The staff there bring a great energy to the place. Especially one of the guys that works there on Saturday nights (don't know his name, wore glasses the times we had been) - really knowledgeable and ever so cheerful. It is a little on the expensive side since one dessert dish is just simply not enough for dessert foodies and the prices do add up (was 16 bucks per dish), however totally worth it!
I arrived at Miann with an unbridled enthusiasm, after having heard tales of its development and success from a few friends. I don’t think I’ve found another city with the same passion for the fine dessert course so I made sure to check it out when I was back in Auckland. I had two desserts (as it was that kind of a night, it’s always that kind of a night) and they were both excellent. The cabinet Snowman was my favourite of the two, the a la carte Cranachan was overpowered by the raspberry. Still very good. There’s plenty of options and the menu changes seasonally so there’s a bit of luck in the draw with what you order but its cemented another perfect spot for sharing and snapping some sweet joy.
Here for an after dinner dessert. Recommended by my friends several times so came with high expectations.
Ordered Bomb Alaska and iced Matcha latte. The bomb Alaska disappointed me, as the shape was not like a bomb at all. They did not fire on the bomb as I expected. Although the ice cream and chocolate coat tasted good.
Iced matcha latte was great, they brewed with real tea, not the tea powders. Perfect balance of the matcha and coffee.
Would be there again but not expected as a must-go place in Auckland. BTW, the free soda water was great.
I think the atmosphere at Miann is much nicer than Milse - you can actually sit down and not feel too guilty if you linger a little. The food is just as good with a great selection in the cabinet.
Unlike its Britomart store that only serves cabinet food and chocolate, the Fort Street store offers the whole range, including its plated desserts which is a must try if you're looking for unique flavours + presentation of dish.
So far, every visit is highly satisfactory. I don't have to worry about choosing something that I won't like because everything in the store is delicious.
I'd also recommend their kawa kawa and ginger tea, if you're looking for something to cut through the richness and sweetness of their desserts (almost like a palette cleanser in its own way).

This place has a great selection of desserts. Have tried various desserts displayed in the glass counter, as well as their gelato sticks. The coconut gelato was very yummy! As for their macaroons, didn't like them that much as they were overly sweet for me. Would definitely visit again to try other things, and avoid weekends if you want to be able to get seated inside :)
This place is amazing! So many sweet delights! I tried the Rudolph gelato stick which is a dark chocolate ice cream with chocolate brownies chunks inside. We also ordered the pineapple cake, bomb alaska and mango & coconut gelato stick.
First there was Milse, which although it opened in 2013, it forever remains my favourite restaurant, for their ever changeable desserts and exciting creations. It is also where I can go and order dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and not feel weird about it. Then came the Sweet Cuisine Dessert Pop Ups. Like a sit down dinner, but instead of a ‘normal’ three course meal, you were served three courses of desserts. This brought a whole new level to dessert dining.
We ordered for this big balloon. The appearance was really good, when we ate it really felt awesome. The tangy flavour of orange with coconut foam inside was a great combination. Really worth paying for it.
After lunch, we went for dessert at Miann. Macarons & cakes were simply beautiful. We picked mango & coconut gelato stick, pineapple & lemon cake, Rudolph gelato stick & bomb Alaska. They were absolutely lovely. (Italian meringue, raspberry sorbet & vanilla gelato. (Food - 4.5/5; Service - 4/5)
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! Came here for my mums birthday and she isn't a big fan of sweets but she loved it! Not too sweet and the taste is more natural compared to other desserts. The service there is absolutely on point! Friendly and super nice. The cookies and cream ice block is to die for!! Loved the dessert so much we ended up spending $100. Would go back for sure!!
I'll definitely be returning to this place! The staff were very attentive and well trained when it came to explaining the menu. The vibe that Miann gives off is quite a personal one so it's nice to go with someone else. The food was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious!
My friend and I got a gauteaux called 35% Azelia & Hazelnut Praline I think, a strawberry shortcake macaron and a Heilala vanilla and sea salted caramel Bon Bon chocolate. The gauteaux was so good and the dark chocolate mirror glaze was delicious! We were lucky it wasn't packed do we choose the window seat. The chocolate was so good but rather small for $2.80 compared the my friend's macaron which was bigger but wasn't round. But the flavour were all there in the macaron which was too sweet! We had a great experience and everyone should try it!!!!

I always love looking into the cabinets at these dessert places! It was a bit hard choosing what I wanted but I settled for this Burnt Vanilla Brûlée with Raspberry. It was pretty good, and I liked the crust. It wasn't my absolute favourite but still a good dessert.
I have visited this place a few times and I have never been disappointed! The atmosphere in here is lovely, the decoration and the layout looks fabulous and the staff are super friendly, helpful and attentive. The desserts here are superb, there is something for everyone and personally I found the green tea & passionfruit macaron to be out of this world- everytime I visit this place I always order it. A minor drawback for me was that when I first read the menu I had no idea what half the things were- I had to get a staff member to explain to my friends and I what the desserts such as a la carte and shrubs were. Other than that this place is a fantastic place to satisfy your sweet tooth with your friends, family or with a date at any time. Looking forward to the next time I visit!
This is probably the best dessert place In the city. Their desserts are all carefully crafted, with all the components working perfectly together. Upon our first visit, our waiter carefully explained each dessert to us and was very attentive and friendly. It was impossible to pick a favourite because all the desserts were amazing! If you do go definitely try their "balloon" which is something very unique! Definitely a great place for dates or just if you have a sweet tooth!

Was at Miann on a Thursday night, buzzing with people at around 9 PM, which definitely looked very promising. We were explained the menu by the staff and also had a look around at the counter for the variety of gateaux they had to offer. After much deliberations, we decided on a macaroon sandwich w hich was essentially chocolate and salted caramel gelato placed on a chocolate macaroon. We also called for another gateaux, name of which i fail to remember but looked so aesthetic! Have attached the pictures! Service top notch and quality- amazing !Coming back again!
I am a self proclaimed dessert lover. So me being me had to go to one of the urban listed places. The place has a very calming vibe. They stock an amazing variety of takeaway desserts, bon bons, chocolate coated nuts and what not. I went for the degustation. I was explained the menu to begin with and then started pouring the desserts. I wont go deep to the description because this is more of an experience. The service was very good. Warm and friendly. I would go average on the taste. Of the 4 desserts I thoroughly enjoyed the baloon. And the choco whiskey was good. I did not enjoy the other two at all.
I did enjoy the takeway dessert. But still the whole experience did not do too much for me.
It is very natural to compare this establishment to another player in the market. And only in my view the "other" one is much much better as an experience and did wonders for my palette.

It was my first time dining here today with my friend. I wasn't too sure what to expect except maybe overly sweet desserts like what I've previously had in past dessert places. I remembered it had a high rating so I was keen to check it out. We went inside and were greeted by a lovely staff member. She was really patient and polite to us upon arriving. She showed us to a table and gave us the menus. There were gelato sticks for $8 and A La Carte options as well. I'm not sure but I think they're usually busy at night and we came at 3pm so there were only a few others there. The space is a bit small so it might be hard to get a seat if they're packed so I suggest improving that by extending the place somehow. Anyway, I figured that since it was my first time here I would try something exotic. I ended up choosing the "Balloon" option from the A La Carte menu with passion fruit, mango, sago, coconut and lemongrass plus crisp caramel pieces. It stood out because I envisioned it to be something I have to pop open. I asked the waitress about the a la carte menu and she explained each item really well. She really had good knowledge of the menu. She said the Balloon one is the one I can crack open and I thought that sounded interesting. My friend ordered a raspberry and green tea gelato stick which I tasted a bit of. It was nice because the sour raspberry taste compliments the green tea flavour well. Not overly sweet at all. Now, the balloon dish was stupendous. It tasted fresh because of the mango, perfect sweetness from the sago and creamy foam which melted into a liquid texture (passionfruit and/or coconut I think), and wow I couldn't believe that the lemon grass tasted extremely good with all of the other components. The crisp texture of the caramel bits was my favourite part. It had a soft mango texture, coconut or passion fruit foam I think, the smooth sago with the liquid sauce from coconut or passion fruit (originally powdered I think). Each component's texture, especially the crisp caramel pieces won the dish for me. Everything tasted well balanced and the marriage of all the flavours were excellent. Props to the chef for coming up with such a creative concept. All their food is not overly sweet and has just enough sweetness. I like how they implemented the use of herbs usually found in savoury food. I always thought salt and sweet go well with each other so that was definitely proven to me today. The only small issue is the price since it's slightly pricey. I understand why it's $16 due to fine dining but they actually REALLY taste amazing though. The Bon Bon gift 9 piece boxes are a bit pricey too from what I've heard at $25 but maybe because it's because they're hand made I'm guessing. The ambience was a little bit weird at first cause there wasn't any background music playing up until I almost finished my dish. Nonetheless, the staff are lovely and attentive, the cabinet display at the front looks scrumptious, and the food is absolutely divine. I usually don't go to dessert places often and this place made my dessert experience extraordinary. I wish to come back in the future many more times. I hope they will continue to live up to their reputation on Zomato and I can't wait to their food again.
yummy beignet. a creative pastry shop with so many great sweet things. the bonbons are perfect. macarons are cute with beautiful flavour combinations，even though sometimes a bit fragile at room temp. gateau and icecream mostly excellent but sometimes with disappointing textures like hard like rock caramel inside a macaron chocolate icecream that you can not eat it at all or a dense and heavy egg yolk flavour for a bomb alaska base，or a very thick waxy glaze with dense jelly-like mousse of a praline orange gateau. However，they have a really nice attitude to their customers and willing to listen to their opinions. This keeps me visiting this pastry shop at least once a week and never want to miss anything new. Wonderful place for your craving for sugar.

The brainchild of husband and wife team Brian and Roselle Campbell, Miann is the Gaelic word for ‘to desire’ or ‘to crave.’ And once you see the glass cabinets full to bursting of delectable treats and delicacies that is exactly what you will be doing!
We went along for the last shift of pastry chef Justin Lee before he departed for Korea to open his own restaurant, “Dessert Bar.”
Choose from any of the treats in the cabinet or feast your eyes on the ‘signature’ menu where you can order something to order. We were treated to a complementary item from the signature menu to start (thank you Justin!) and this started off our Miann experience perfectly.
The A La Carte menu is available every day from 3pm and we began with the Cranachan. A work of art on a plate the cranachan consists of Raspberry, Valrhona Dulcey, Talisker Whisky, Hazelnut and Oats. This was an explosion on the tastebuds! The sourness of the raspberry combined with the smoothness of the chocolate and finishing with the cruncy textures of the hazelnuts and oats provided everything you could want in a dessert and more!
Next we turned our attention to the Patisserie cabinet and could not go past the Macaron Sandwich. Chocolate and Salted Caramel gelato sandwiched between two chocolate macarons. What’s not to love?
From the patisserie section choose from Petit Gateaux , Gelato Sticks, Gelato Cakes, Macarons and Chocolate Bon Bons.
But for now, back to the A La Carte menu. Well you didn’t think we’d stopped there did you? Next up was the Tanariva which consisted of Valrhona Tanariva 33% milk chocolate, Chestnut, Vanilla and Tonka Bean.
The textures in this dessert really made the dish. Crunchy, silky smooth and crispy, it all melded together beautifully. It also wasn’t too heavy so left extra room to fit more patisserie items in.
If you really can’t choose (and we agree it’s such a hard job narrowing down your decision!), you can opt for the 4 course Tasting Menu.
So with desserts now serious business, it’s time to get serious about eating them. And that’s a job we are more than qualified for! Seriously though, give these guys a try, you’ll keep going back for more and more.

Love stopping my Miann Fort Street for something sweet after dinner in town. Whether you want to enjoy a sit-down dessert or you want to grab and go, there is something for all dessert lovers. The last time I was here, my friends and I ordered the Sago and Balloon from the menu as well as their famous Bombe Alaska.
Service is friendly, quick and attentive. There is usually a wait for a table as seating is limited. If you don’t mind the cold, you can opt to sit outside. But good news, they are opening up a second store at Britomart!

Balloon - Lemon, Yuzu and Beurre Noisette Meringue Tart

been here a couple of times now and the desserts are so decadant and perfect. they are the perfect fusion of chocolate with a complimentary sweet like ice cream or candy. I love their desserts!

You can choose from a set menu but me and my wife wanted to select from the delish items for offer in the display. Overall great experience. A great little spot with special fancy little deserts. My review is purely on the cabinet food - The cabinet is full of fancy deserts with a huge selection of flavours to choose from. Since I looooove anything Coconut and anything Pandan, I opted for a Coconut, Mango and Pandan gelato stick which was absolutely delish. I also got a selection of Macrons and these did not disappoint - perfectly melt in your month. A great little treat but be warned, this place is very busy!

Nice afternoon dessert with my friend. Pleasant places and atmosphere. Looking forwards to having a taste of the drinks and fortunately both of them were delicious. The Motcha cake was tasty as well. Will definitely come along again some time.
Service was superb and we were made to feel like VIP's. Staff were very attentive to all customers and the proof of the pudding was in the eating. DELICIOUS.

The desserts here are a treat for your eyes and your taste buds. The staff is super friendly. The place is quite cramped so I'd recommend getting take away. They have a great range of gelato sticks, bon bons and gourmet desserts. I ordered the Cranachan which was a cheesecake with amazing textures. Definitely worth a visit!
On a side note - they have some really good tea and coffee too!
This place has some delicious and creative desserts and treats. Recently tried a delicious treat that was almost too beautiful to eat with baby Macarons. I love biscuit bases so this was the highlight of the dessert. You can dine there or take your desserts away. Would recommend!

Another spot on Fort Street Id been wanting to try for a while. Miann really exceeded my expectations - I knew they had beautiful desserts but their service was exceptional, something that is often lacking elsewhere.
We tried a couple of the desserts which you order from a range of pastrys, macarons, ice creams, & there is also a menu. Both our desserts were delicious - perfectly balanced & the perfect size. The macarons were also delicious. A bit smaller than some others, but with that crispy shell & soft inside.
Will be back to try their tasting platter - I believe it's amazing

I came here with a friend! I ordered the Bomb Alaska which was pretty good! I found the meringue/marshmallow on the outside to be a bit much, but overall, it was amazing! A bit overpriced, but will be back for the occasional treat.
Omg so good! The place is quite dark but the food makes up for it, so delicious. The passion fruit, raspberry meringue tart was to die for as was the peanut macaroon. Prices are reasonable, service was great-would dine here again 10 times over just to try everything
Quite a few people had asked me to check this place out if ever I am in Auckland. If so many people have been raving about this place then it is worth checking for in my point of view. I came here with my 2 girlfriends and my sister. The dessert bar with its massive selection is pretty impressive. Everything was crafted beautifully it was difficult to decide. But once we are seated after choosing out dessert, we surely enjoyed our experience. Their coffee, the eight thirty coffee bean that they used was just amazing! I highly recommend this place.
Amazing flavors!quite a different experience from milse,we went at quite a late time and the lady was fully accommodating despite the amount of customers they have and was very friendly,the desserts were sooooo delicious highly recommend to try it out for date nights or even I'd ur craving for sweet things and such a delicious hot chocolate that everyone should definitely try out

Miann is always changing their menu to match seasonal produce so there's always something new to try! I love the 'balloon' sago plated dessert as I don't like overly sweet desserts so I highly recommend this dish but honestly you can't find a bad dessert at Miann!
Great desserts place, nice patisseries and cakes. Great eighthirty coffee, professional and friendly staff. As previous comments mention: quite overpriced. I also found that the place was quite dark, it could do with a bit more lighting? I understand its the concept of the atmosphere obviously but it could be more cosy with a bit more light, it didn't feel very warm its a shame for a sweets place, i didn't feel like staying for long. Macarons deserve a solid 5* for quality but you get quite turned down by the price.. but I know good ingriedients have a cost!
The best place to go for dessert in Auckland! Beautiful cabinet selection plus a menu that changes weekly so you can never be bored! Food is to die for with flavours perfectly balanced and lots of variation. Heaps of gluten and dairy free options too! There gelato sticks are my all time favourite.
After eating dinner in Ponsonby we decided to drop by for some dessert. The place was quite busy but the service was still excellent. We had the Chocolate Macaron with gelato which was divine. I also had a chilli hot choc to drink which was perfect for the cold evening.

My partner and I walked in thinking we would grab the desserts we wanted from the buffet style counter display and take a seat and eat it however once we decided what we wanted (trust me it was no easy feat with all the choices) a friendly waiter came to us and asked if we had a table or if he could get one for us. We got the last table available which was squished into a corner and other dinners had to move in order for us to gain access to our table which was annoying. However as dining periods are short as only dessert is served and not a full meal, the changeover time between customers is short meaning a table becomes available quickly. Also as most of the desserts are already made the wait is very short as we waited only 2 minutes before our dishes had arrived. We ordered a cookies and cream ice cream which was to die for as it was covered in a layer of chocolate covered in Oreo crumbs. It sounds simple but it just works. It was the perfect amount of creamy and sweetness. We also ordered a salted caramel slice which came with icing and macarons on top. However we found that this one was quite sweet and I am a sweet tooth which is saying something. I feel like the mixture of a sugary base with caramel on top followed by the icing as well was just abit overwhelming in sweetness. The dishes and the layout look very fancy and expensive looking however the total bill only came to $17 which I thought was very reasonable. We will definitely be back again to try some different desserts! One thing I should warn you about however is that the parking nearby is very expensive with 30 minutes costing $8 but I still highly recommend!
I'm not the biggest sweet tooth person but if you love desserts then it's so worth a try! Their macaroons hands down the best texture and consistency. However some of their flavours are questionable... But you have to try the salted caramel popcorn (?) I think it was called. The feijoa ice cream sticks are really nice too!! But they're seasonal so try them out whenever it's in! The chocolate desserts are very rich and very very sweet! However their sorbet flavours are really good!
Beautiful desert bar at the bottom of town. We went here quite late on a sat night so had no hope of getting a table inside, we did manage to perch ourselves on stools outside that a friendly staff member got us. Huge variety of beautifully coloured macaroons, which are crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle just as they should be. The salted caramel and feijoa ice creams are my fav. They have some pre packed treats such as bars of choc you can purchase. A larger dining area would be great as I've never managed to get a table and try the dine in menu. A great little spot for date nite or part of girls night out

The espresso dark chocolate was intensely delicious and I'll definitely be back to try some of the other items on offer.

Great place for dancy desserts after lovely dinner. All of their desserts looks absolutely beautiful. I was bit too full and ordered their hot chocolate which came with a chocolate marshmallow. Now, I'm usually not a fan of marshmallows but this was really good. We also tried the apple and feijoa shrubs which we also liked.

Went on a Friday night with my mates after dinner at Mexico Britomart. Lovely interior and nice ambiance. There are more seats than Milse which is really a plus.
We ordered 3 gelatos - Salted Caramel, Mango Coconut & Pandan, Cookies & Cream. All 3 were good! But I like the Salted Caramel the best. The Mango Coconut & Pandan one is worth trying as well if you want a refreshing flavour.
Highly recommended and will definitely go back!!!
This place serves High quality deserts. Quite pricey tho but it's the perfect place to take a girl on a date. The environment is relaxing and if you want to impress a girl take her here!

Fantastic seasonal deserts and patisserie's. We had the "Mont Blanc" desert as well as a chocolate desert which were both amazing. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

All cakes looked sooo beautiful that you don't want to eat :) I took long time to make decision because I wanted to try everything. At the end we got 1 ice cream and 1 cake.
Green tea and raspberry ice cream was really good, not too sweet and a bit sour from raspberries. I couldn't taste much green tea though. And we had a chocolate cake with hazelnut and salted caramel. It was pretty, sweet and pretty chocolaty!
Will definitely go back and try other desserts!
I was very excited for my first time in miann. We ordered the mont blanc cake and a chocolate hazelnut cake and a gelato stick each. I was very happy with the mont blanc cake as the tart was baked perfectly with alot of chestnut cake. Gelato sticks were abit disappointing as i expected way more, we got a chocolate one, salted caramel, espresso and fejioa one. It was way too sweet and wasn't particular special or different to a magnum stick. It is quite pricey but it was a good experience and we were very pleased with the variety and ambiance of the place.

First time here yesterday and we were really amazed by the fancy desserts and the beautiful ambiance... Surprisingly they're using Philippine mango with their desserts... Highly recommended for the sweet lovers of there... Definitely coming back...
Miann is a great place to have dessert in as they offer tropical flavours such as philippine mango and pandan. It is similar to Milse but the flavour profile at Miann is more adventurous. In terms of the service, Miann staff were amazing and approachable. The desserts we picked were great especially the one with Philippine mango filling(caramel looking cloud) and also the one with peach (pink oval). Overall, would definitely be coming back to try more of what they offer and also the ice creams.
Definitely my favourite dessert bar in town. I love their variety of dishes and my favourite ones are the ones that are made to order in a bowl. These specific ones have a diverse range of texture and complimentary flavours it's an absolute explosion in your mouth! The best part is that the menu is ever changing which I guess is also the sad part because I want to eat them all over again!! The workers are all lovely and helpful and I will definitely be returning.

Miann offers space, a variety of desserts and beverages. However it lacks, somewhat, in customer service and efficiency.
After dinner we (group of 5) decided to try Miann as an alternative to Milse as we wanted to sit down and enjoy our desserts. The shop space is large and has plenty of seating. The kitchen is also open so customers can see the making of all the desserts. The variety is similar to Milse, in the sense, there's petite gateaux of seasonal flavours as well as classics. There are gelato sticks and handmade chocolates. There are also boxes of beverages and chocolates to takeaway.
The taste of the desert was overall pleasant but does not beat Milse and certainly not Vaniyé. Perhaps our expectations were too high and with the abrupt, hurried service at the counter our first experience of Miann was affected and our night ended on an average note.
Came with a friend a few weeks ago! Wow! The chocolate sundae special is what we ordered.. It's was amazing we got one each.. It was so big we defiantly could have shared.
They sat us down and went through the menu with us and then took our drinks order.. I will be returning to sample more of the menu.
It's an odd walk out of the main queen st but so worth it.

Sweet catch up with a friend. Literally. It's dessert for dinner night, as we make our way to Miann, the new place to go if you love Milse. We want everything on the menu, of course, but control ourselves to choose only two. The pictured dish is the first one on the list, and I highly recommend it. Its cool raspberry sorbet ball with smooth cream and oats hiding in the bottom, caramel dulcey spotted around it... so good! Seriously contemplated getting a second dish, but maybe next time. We finished off with a selection of macarons and were disappointed. Colouring and texture were not the best. I'd recommend just sticking with the main dishes, instead. Would have liked to try their house ginger beer, if it had been available.
Service was excellent. Desserts looked amazing but lacked subtle balance and had clashing flavours. Using cheap Passionfruit sauce rather than real Passionfruit. Expected more given price but still a cool spot and once they manage to get flavours that match presentation, they will be unstoppable.

We always wanted to go to Miann after hearing so many of our friends raving about it and always seeing their beautifully made desserts on their Instagram.
We arrived on a Saturday night. The place was swarmed with people and there were only seats outside available. We didn't mind because it was a nice night and it was actually quite warm inside the place.
We ordered an iced tea, a hot chocolate, their sundae of the day, a mango coconut sago plate and a chocolate plate. All of them came elegantly presented and almost too pretty too pretty to eat. Almost though. The iced tea was delicious, my mango coconut sago plate was not too sweet, instead it was light and delicate with many different textures that is just perfect for people who is looking for desserts that are not too heavy. My friends really enjoyed their chocolate desserts too, albeit a bit too sweet towards the end.
The service was excellent, our waiter was very friendly, attentive and helpful in answering our queries and very enthusiastically recommended desserts to us.
Overall this is the perfect place for anyone with a sweet tooth, fantastic for date night or friends who are looking for a place for a good time. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and are looking forward to our many more visits in the future!

A little bit on the pricey side but it's very tasty here. Some say it's better than Milse and some say Milse is better. But this place is def better cos of the wider selection of desserts AND you get to dine in without having to pay extra or eat in a constructed place. But taste wise, I still think Miann is better 😋

They offers the best macaroons in Auckland. $ 2.50 each, lovely and reasonable price. Feijoa flavor was the perfect combination of sour and sweet. The light inside was a little dark. Only a few items was marked with price stickers, have to check it with staff. But all staff were busy, so had to wait.
Ticking off Miann off my dessert retreat list was definitely a wise choice! So glad I got to taste their desserts which were amazingly well-crafted and tasted divine! I loved my chocolate, plum and earl grey mousse on top of a chocolate biscuit. It was $9, which was consistent with Milse.
The ambience was really good and there were ample seating, which made catching up with friends a lot easier. Would definitely visit again for another treat!
I am absolutely inlove ❤ with Miann and can't stay away! Miann was buzzing on saturday night so we had to wait 15mins to get a table, not that we minded at all. Once seated, our server was very attentive and explained that there's a new A la Carte menu (which changes every week) After much deliberation we decided to order Bahibe Blood orange and pistachio and my husband ordered Carmelio Black boypeach and raspberry. I had a huge grin on my face when the desserts arrived, it looked spectacular and the taste was just mindblowing! Every elements was well executed and the flavour combination worked so well together. Can't wait to visit again soon!!!

Miann is a great place to go for dessert! It's a similar concept to Britomart's Milse, but much more spacious. All the treats look amazing and colourful. Tried my ever favourite Bombed Alaska, and I was not disappointed!
I finally got time to visit this new destination for desserts' lovers 😋 First impressions: the store is lovely, not too crowded as they also have outdoor seats; the staff is so friendly and helpful and provides fast service; three beautiful separate displays of desserts (cakes, chocolates and gelato) ❤️ I had the salted caramel chocolate hazelnut ice-cream and my friend had a coconut cake and some macaroons. My ice-cream was mainly salted caramel, not very balanced but the coat of hazelnut was quite crunchy 👍🏼 Price is reasonable. Will definitely come back as i haven't got a chance to try out the cakes and their creative dessert dishes. Would update this review the next time I'm here 😊

Nice place to stop by if you are wanting dessert. The biggest issue is the lack of seating as it is usually always full. Seating inside is fairly tight but it is quite nice, especially if you can spot the dessert counters.
They have a variety of different cakes, pastries and ice cream on offer and they have very interesting flavours. Aside from the cabinet they also have a menu for the more a la carte desserts.
I grabbed the coconut shells and the smoked hot chocolate. The coconut shell was interesting, with mango and pineapples. Nice flavour and it all went well together. The shell just melted as it reached room temperature, so if you didn't take a photo fast enough you would've missed the shell. The smoked hot chocolate was very interesting. smoke held in the cup by a chocolate dome and you melt through the dome with hot chocolate. Friends got ice cream sandwich and a chocolate milkshake and were happy with their choices.
Always a nice choice if you were wanting something sweet to finish (or start) your night.
A nice place to hangout with friends and to have dessert at. I really enjoy the environment and the great service there. Staff are friendly and well-trained. Dessert-wise, they taste kind of similar to OKO's; well both being outstanding dessert eatery tbh. But I would definitely come back here again as it is close to where I live.
Well, I got a soft spot for cakes so Miann is the place for a perfect night out. We ordered a variety of cakes and all came out well presented. Deliciously sweet with multiple favours and textures. Washed down nicely with some cold soda water. Divine!

A great place for a cute date or just an excuse to catch up with friends! This place is definitely the hype right now. There were a lot of dessert varieties in the cabinet you could choose from. This included macarons, gelato sticks, chocolate and more. It was decorated with some Easter themed desserts too! I went in with a group of girls, although the place was super packed, staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us get seated. We ordered the dessert plates to share amongst us and they were an instagrammers dream come true. The desserts were stunningly pretty and full of flavor. Menu apparently changes every week, which gives us an excuse to come weekly. The waiter who served us gavd us top notch service, one of the best I've seen in a long time. He helped us with our menu choices and once the food came out, he explained each one and their components. Dessert is more on the pricier side, however the craftsmanship and detail made it very reasonable. Overall, the place is well set up, food was delicious and the service made it 5/5.
Popped in to Miann on our way home from dinner and we were not disappointed! While the concept mimics Milse, I much prefer Miann. You are greeted with genuine and smiling staff and there is more space for you to browse through the dessert choices on offer. Love the staff and the atmosphere!
I opted for the Peach and Pecan Dulce de Leche petite gateaux and it was absolutely delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect however the fresh peach jelly filling on the crunchy biscuit was absolutely mind blowing. I love the flavour combinations as it was rich yet refreshing. Bought two of the bunny macarons which went down a treat with my sister! Can't wait for my next visit.

Went there on a friday night to grab post dinner dessert. Place was relatively full but we were adressed quickly. The place has dim lights but there are colours all around (the sweets). We ordered the following:
- choc eclaire: 4.5/5- flavours are spot on- and just the right size.
- fruit tart (as per the pic): the pastry was right, the fruits fresh- only downside for me is the chocolate- it did not complement the subtle flavours of the tart so I removed the choc.
- we also ordered salted caramel macaroon: the crunch of the outside and gooey inside were a perfect complement to one another; flavour was spot on.
- also got the maple walnut macaroon: this was not my fave, for some reason it tasted like banana? And was way too sweet!
Would def go back to try more of the wide selection!

I felt like this was just an expanded version of Milse since the prices are almost the same and they've both got an equal amount of range. The only difference being that Miann is a lot more spacious and it's at a more open-ended area, along with having a better view of the pastry chefs at work. Its run by one of the head chefs at Milse so ofcourse, nothing less than beautiful and dainty desserts and immaculate presentation!
It has clean, classy and minimalistic decor with ample seating and dim lighting, gives off a pretty, romantic vibe. They have a huuge variety of delicate little dessert options ranging from miniature macarons, gelato cakes, gelato sticks and their popular petit gateuxs!
Prices are quite expensive so makes for a nice once in a while treat. I had the Dulce De Leche Peach petite gateux with Pecan and it was amazing! You first break through a creamy, white chocolatey layer with a marble texture at the start, then onto a soft and jellylike peach slab, finally ending with a crunchy biscuit layer at the bottom. What a dream... I loved how it wasn't too rich either. I also got to try the peaches and cream macaron which was also really nice!!
A cute place for small groups and late night dessert dates, the staff are really chilled and friendly too.

We had the tasting menu for $55 along with two drinks. A peach & ginger soda along with a mango & passion fruit soda. I really enjoyed my peach & ginger the combination worked really well together you can definitely taste both peach and ginger. The mango & passion fruit however wasn't as good, it tasted watered down lacking the fruitiness.
The dessert 😍 obviously presentation is Miann's forte! Such exquisite presentation! You definitely feel like you're fine dining haha. My favourite out the tasting menu that offered four types of dessert is the white dessert (second photo). It's very unique described as a "balloon". Inside the ballon is mango sorbet that is beautifully light and fluffy that's surrounded by a coconut outer! I'm a sucker for anything mango hehe.
The other three desserts where good, except for the chocolate cup. The chocolate was far to bitter for my liking and for my the flavours did not work well together, passion fruit, chocolate and coffee. That's my personal opinion. The other two desert consisted of a peach component I rate 2nd favourite and berry component ranking 3rd favourite.
It's a very busy restaurant, fully packed with a line of people waiting to be seated. We were on the waiting list for roughly 10 minutes which was fine. Staff here are friendly and attentive, despite being so busy they do take the time to run through the menu and check up on you ☺️

[UPDATE] Miann has expanded their variety of flavours of their macarons and they are ALL worth trying! I tried Peanut Butter Crunch this time and it lives up to its name. The peanut butter filling in the macaron definitely had a light crunch and crispiness to it, and the peanut butter itself had a hint of sweetness.
I also tried the Chocolate with Salted Caramel filling (forgot the exact name) and it was definitely a treat worth trying. The texture was like a dense but foamy chocolate mousse lightly covered in a smooth and shiny bitter sweet chocolate ganache, with a blast of salted caramel filling. Near the end, the dessert did become a little overwhelming with the sweetness. I am definitely going to try a fruit flavoured one next time :)
Everything at Miann is too delicious! This cafe always makes me want to come back every time.
So far I've only had a few items but they all draw me back wanting to try all the other items.
The gelato sticks are a great treat to cool down during these scorching hot summer days, with a range of flavours from salted caramel to citrus-y fruit flavours.
The flavours of the macarons are very unique and taste 'exactly' as they are named.
The macaron of the day changes, providing something new and exciting every time. Salted Caramel macaron is by far the best in my opinion, and the 'Macaron of the Day' - Macadamia and Caramel's flavour is still memorable till today. The filling was a macadamia paste topped with crunchy caramel bits.
Service is great with polite staff, and environment is clean and tidy. I definitely look forward to more visits here :)

I had the opportunity to try out this restau 😂 anyways, to be very honest this place reminds me of milse.. both are fancy & both sells a variety of desserts and drinks. Really delicious desserts! I'd rate this one...
*Service: 3.5/5 - when we went in no one really greeted us.. and no one led us to a table or showed us how the ordering process were but we just chose a table outside..that's when a server approached us handed a menu and gave a cup of water and cutlery.. she then told what the special is and so I gave pts to that.
*Drinks: 4/5 - my bf and I shared a mango & passion fruit 'shrubb'(?) & we liked it. It was nice and refreshing for a tiring, hot weather out, like today 😊
*Food: 4/5 - amazing desserts! Once again shared 1 salted caramel Gelato & 1 gateau (forgot the flavour) they were totally divine to eat! ❤ plus I love how they have specific designs for a few desserts whenever there is a holiday event.. like now, easter is coming up there are egg shaped & rabbit/bunny shaped ice cream etc.. 😊 (although I did not get to try them, next time though)
*Overall: 4/5- I will struggle to choose whether to go here or milse now 😂 maybe alternate each time I reckon👍 but in all seriousness service could have been better.. but overall great dessert & I sure will come back. Can't wait for more holiday-based themed designs!

This place is tucked away in Fort Street as if it were a hidden gem. Not crowded as of yet but can imagine it getting popular and perhaps becoming the new Milse in the city. Love the range that they have and the staff are so welcoming and they know their products really well. You eat with your eyes first like they say and Miann definitely delivers on that front. They are all presented exceptionally well. They taste just as good, rich as expected. Guilty pleasure for sure!!
Nice dessert place, had cravings for chocolate and so ordered their Black Forest dessert was very rich and satisfying! Also it's nice how the staff are helpful if you are unsure of what to order! A variety of things to order will defs be back to try more things!
One of the fanciest dessert shop I have ever been. Love the customer service - they made me feel welcomed and treated like a queen. The ambiance was great as well, suits for dating or to hang out with friends.
I ordered the green tea mousse with peanut base and mango filling. YUM! Love the green tea taste! However, just a minor thing, if the mousse was eaten together with the base, the peanut flavour tend to overcome the green tea flavour so i think the flavour balance should be adjusted slightly. Overall, I was satisfied and look forward to come here again.

Pretty good stuff. Great range of beautiful delicate looking desserts which all look like a work of art. Coffees were a bit bitter but am not too fussed. Great service and ambience, a lot more spacious to nearby Milsé and I think the desserts are actually better here. A bit expensive, around $8 for each piece, but that's to be expected, given the quality and the work that goes into it.
New dessert place in fort street, ambiance is warm and staff were all very nice and friendly. Came here Saturday night the place was packed so decided to take out instead. Ice cream was yum reminded me of Milse a lot!! And also tasted the same!! Also had a small coffee chocolate cake mousse taste was subtle and not too sweet which was great! Overall great little place to chill price range was affordable too for two desserts we paid $17 not too bad!
Miann- as soon as you get in looks like a perfect place to have a dessert, quite big.I was here for the first time and didn't has enough time to sit so thought of getting some cabinet cakes quickly . I asked the girl on the counter to recommend me what are best out of the cabinet but seems like she was new or not bothered as she didn't explained me anything and I had to ask her for certain cakes and she said they are good. Well so ordered 3 cabinet cakes.
To be very honest I was disappointed as none of that was like wow. Every cake had a different taste to it but somehow I did not liked the flavours apart from one Red covered one.
Not a good experience for me but for sure will come again with enough time to sit there and have a good time as the place I really nicely made.

If you have been to Milse, this place is opened by one of the guys who worked there. So without a doubt, Pretty desserts! And the place is bigger so easier to get seats. Service was really friendly and helpful! Explanations were good. Ambience wise, I wish the lights were dimmer to have a more romantic feel, given the delicate cakes. Pictures we took were average cause of the lighting!Decor is really simple too.
Dessert wise, we ordered 2 cabinet cakes - coconut peach and green tea. They were yum but slightly too rich for me. Green tea one had a good green tea flavour but i was disappointed with the "top seller recommendation" which was described as coconut peach. It really was just coconut. ><
We also got an a-la-carte dessert called Balloon. And that was delicious and refreshing! A watermelon sorbet ball filled with light flavoured cream accompanied by pistachio crumble and strawberries. It was delicious until drops of lemon curd ruined the refreshing flavour as it was heavy and I personally thought it didn't blend well.
Tried a green tea and passionfruit macaroon which was too sugary and the exterior was too crunchy for me. Good for a nice sugary treat though. Not too expensive!
Also, the stools were too high for the table which was rather uncomfortable. But staff were helpful to let me switch to a normal chair.
This place has a really nice vibe to it - day or night. We went on a hot summer night and it was packed, there wasn't a free table on site. The ice creams and desserts were really well displayed and the presentation of each was immaculate - you will be spoilt for choice!
After much thought, we decided to get a couple of ice creams - Salted caramel and Mango, pineapple and coconut. Both were creamy, flavoursome and very satisfying. We also got a Raspberry and lemon curd doughnut which had a really good balance of flavours.
We dealt with Brian and found his service really good for a busy night, he was really friendly and accommodating during our visit!
Our experience here was pretty good! Quick, easy and delicious. The only problem is finding a free table!
I had heard of Miann from a friend and I have to say, they were right- it is delicious! I had the Philippines mango sorbet and galato with white chocolate and coconut- one word - yuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm will be going again
Upbeat in the area of Fort street which has become quite hip. Great selection of amazing ice creams and other assorted goodies. Home made chocolates are amazing and don't go past the macaroons. Melt in the mouth yet crispy texture. Couldn't quite get my head around the ice cream. Loved the outside but inside was quite grainy but don't let that put you off. Nice to be offered sparkling water :)
We bought 3 desserts and an ice cream for takeaway. They are delicious. Pretty much on par with milse. But the ice cream at milse is better. The desserts are great though. Will come back for more. We ordered the lychee mousse, chocolate mousse and green tea mousse.
Came here on a sunny Friday morning with work colleagues. We ordered a whole heap of coffees, macarons, donuts, and eclairs. These aren't the usual desserts u expected. The eclairs had a tangy lemon curd in them which was an awesome surprise. The donuts were a bit overcooked which was a shame but the macarons were great!
This place is definitely underrated. Today was my first time there, and there service was wonderful. The deserts really nice. I definitely go back there.
Extensive selection of gateaus, gelatos and bonbons if you prefer not to wait.
However if you want a more deluxe experience, wait until the a la carte menu is available. My friend and I had the "Balloon" and "Kalingo". The former is for those who want a refreshing treat after a good meal whilst the latter is for chocoholics who have a prominent sweet tooth.
Compliments to our waiter who was very accommodating and knew his desserts - something I look to in a restaurant.
Will definitely recommend for one who loves dessert.
Went here last night and loved it! The service was really friendly and fast. I ordered the balloon and the iced chocolate and loved both of them. I would highly recommend this place, if you are not ordering off the menu they have a massive cabinet with all sorts of beautiful deserts to choose from and the wait staff are so friendly and will recommend their favs as there is so much to choose from!
Everything was really well priced also do the amount of detail and effort that went into each desert. The balloon had so many elements that all worked well together (I think they change it quite a bit) but I will definitely be going back for another one of them!
I came here with some friends for a catch up. We decided to get one of each of the a la carte desserts so that we could try them all.
It was delicious! I particularly enjoyed the coconut dessert, as well as the mango and green tea dish.
This place isn't too big, so we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Once inside, the waiter was friendly and took the time to carefully explain each dish to us.
I ended up bringing some friends from overseas here another day and they also really enjoyed the experience. The gelato and gateaux we tried that day were also very good.
This place is not unlike Milse, but not quite as fancy and with more seats inside. Definitely worth checking out if you love desserts! Be aware that it gets pretty busy at night time though.
This place is really impressive. I really love how they have an open kitchen layout. The cabinet looks amazing. Everything looks spectacular and interesting.
We came here tonight and had the gelato cookie sandwgich with coconut and apricot gelato - I think, I was too excited when I was looking at all the desserts that I may have forgotten what exactly was in it, but all you need to know is that it's delicious. Very very delicious. I had a cold chocolate and tonka bean drink - it also came with a chocolate marshmallow. Yum! We also had a valrhona chocolate dessert with a salted caramel centre.
I can't wait to try their other items on the menu.
It's criminal and Th is should be illegal. The desserts are extraordinary. The laborious nature of each desserts and the thought involved is extreme. It may seem expensive but when you look at desserts In restaurants and the price and at times you get an Ill Conceived pile of sugary mess... This place is like an art gallery. Every piece is made with passion and love. No complaints here. And the equipment they have looks cool..

My best friend and I visited Miann last night on a spontaneous late night food adventure. At 9pm on a Saturday night, the restaurant was buzzing, with luckily just one table for us. The decor was elegant and sophisticated; sleek and dark with polished wooden tables. The ambience was very classy & intimate.
We started with drinks, a long black coffee for her and a Strawberry, Lemon & Ginger for me. I loved my mocktail. To me it seemed like sparkling water, infused with lemon, ginger and two whole strawberries, garnished with more strawberries and mint. Not only was it very pretty and well presented, it tasted incredibly refreshing!
My friend chose ‘Balloon’from the a la carte menu; strawberry, watermelon & pomegranate.The frozen sorbet ‘balloon’ looked oh so cute, and it sat decorated on top of the generous selection of fruit. I tried a spoonful of everything mixed together, and it was incredible. I tasted many different flavours and textures; all of which blended together and complemented each other – all balanced by the macadamia and topped with the clean, fresh note of mint.
For me, I chose desserts from the gorgeous cabinet display, starting with the Valrhona Dulcey, Philippine Mango, Coconut & Banana. Valrhona Dulcey is described as a smooth, creamy, blond chocolate, with a flavour that is buttery, toasty and not too sweet. This made for the perfect dessert – combined with the mango, coconut & banana, this dessert was absolutely delicious but not overwhelming sweet! It would be great for those who like dessert, but don’t have a massive sweet tooth. We found that we could eat it continously without getting sick of its sweetness. The flavours were very well balanced, and tasted delightfully tropical.
My second was Caramelia & Berry Tart as I am currently in love with anything with caramel & berries. This dessert is a thick mousse, decorated with strawberry, raspberry & blueberry sitting on a pastry tart. Unlike the previous dessert, this one was super sweet, rich & indulgent. Truthfully, the mousse tasted more of chocolate than of caramel, but the taste and quality were still amazing. The richness of the mousse and the tangy-ness of the berries could get too much, which is where the pastry helped to balance & neutralise (though I personally preferred my mocktail).
We were very impressed with our desserts, though we had two macarons which could've been better. We had Strawberry & Jelly and Green Tea & Passionfruit – I chose these flavours because they sounded so unique and interesting a combination. Sadly, we couldn’t taste these flavours very much as they were overwhelmed with excessive sugary sweetness. We felt like they could’ve definitely toned it down to let the real flavours come through.
Overall, a wonderful first experience at Miann. We loved the variety and quality of desserts, sophisticated but warm ambience, and friendly service – all at reasonable prices too!

I love dessert so love that another dessert only restaurant has opened. I understand since opening late last year it has been super busy but as it's still pretty quiet in Auckland at the moment the night we went it wasn't too bad and no waiting. They have the most amazing looking cabinet filled with gelato treats, chocolates, eclairs and cakes as well as an a la carte menu. We ordered off the menu and had the 'tubes' and 'balloon'. The tube was a chocolate tube filled with chocolate cream and berry sauce- amazing! The balloon was a watermelon ball filled with strawberry cream quite a light refreshing taste. I also couldn't resist and got a salted caramel and hazelnut eclair to take away which was amazing.
Highly recommend this place. Very spacious and easy to move around. Love love their macarons & gelato (especially the mango coconut pandan gelato). Overall this is by far my favorite dessert place because of the creativity of flavour and presentation. Vietnamese coffee was damn clever. Price is reasonable and service was very good. I will be back :D

Have visited twice so far with nothing to fault! When you walk in, even though walls are dark, the space is still warm.
First time we had visited and tried the gelato stick & cake. I ordered the snowman which consisted of chocolate sorbet which was and vanilla gelato which was delicious. I had also ordered the hot chocolate which I found a bit too sweet, however this may have been my fault due to a large lunch and sugar overload.
Second visit we had the a la carte menu. At first I was hesitant to order the sago as at home we often have this. However this dish was refreshing and well worth it.
We also ordered the balloon which consisted of a watermelon sorbet she'll filled with strawberry cream shivh was absolutely delicious. Their mocktails are also delicious and well worth a try, as well as their crafted chocolates.
The only downside I would say is that the menu is changing, so when you have a favourite it may not be there the next visit! However, I look foragers to the many new creations Miann has to offer.
Service is friendly.
Dessert was delicious, chose the A la Carte menu and WOW!! Beautifully plated and the flavours were complimenting.

Newly opened. Very similar to Milse. Me and Food Baby had the gateaux and the chocolate gelato.
My favourite is the milk chocolate gateaux with a salted caramel sticky toffee filling and a rum and raisin base. The milk chocolate was very smooth like a chocolate mousse and the interesting surprise is actually the rum and raisin base which has an airy texture kind of like the coco pops cereal you might have.
The Macaron sandwich chocolate gelato with salted caramel was a bit too sweet for me. The chocolate gelato is smooth but nothing new. The macaron was very sweet and sticky. So was the thick caramel base. Sweetness overload and not really my cup of tea.
Otherwise good service and nice place. Good to have more nice dessert places scattered around the city.
This is a brand new place in Auckland. I'm not totally sure when they started, but I guess it was not longer than a month ago. We arrived for desserts after lunch and we had a White Forest Cherry, White Chocolate, Bitter cacao. Not just the presentation of the dessert was great but it also tasted amazing. Services were really good, friendly people and nice vibe. I hope this is not a just a fresh starting and they manage to keep up the good quality and services.
Went their today after my sister brag about their cakes. Took my wife and son for sunday drive to fort street to visit Mianna cake shop.
The place looked up market euro stlye and cakes looks amazaing. I broght 3 cakes and a mango coconut gelato which all tasted awesome. The down side it so rich and sweet sugar high for hours lol. All and all cakes and gelato was good, price wise a lilltle dear maybe a treat once in a while and parking was a mission.

They all taste incredible and well balanced, nothing has ever failed me. Silky smooth chocolate mousse, melt in your month balloon ball, I need to go there every week to check out their menu!
Everything is like an artwork and you can see how much effort the team puts in every single piece. It is pleasant to eat and even more pleasant to see.

Dessert has to be my favourite type of food. I’m always up for something sweet and I swear I have a different stomach for dessert as no matter how full I am, I could still have room for it. This is why I got really excited when Miann opened up in Auckland. If you didn’t know, Miann is a new dessert place in the city which is by the known pastry chef Brian Campbell (ex-head chef of Milse). He finally opened up his own restaurant and I was dying to try it out.

This place is a dessert lovers heaven 🙌🏻 I can't even begin to describe how the food made me feel here. Well I'll try 🙈 I used a cheat meal for this place and I have noooooo regrets! I would recommend trying the gelato sticks. They are crafted from the food gods themselves 💕 the service is lovely also and you feel like you are very welcome from the moment you walk in
Came here for dessert- died and went to heaven. A huge range of macaroons, eclairs, gelato, chocolates and little treats for all. I had the gelato sandwich from the cabinet and my friend ordered the sago from the set menu. Some vegan options available and oh my gosh how cute are the decorated gelato sticks. Amazing date place!
Amazing looking desserts, high praises for visuals, presentation and service. Taste wise, it's ok. Specialised dessert places the likes of Milse executes flavour at another level (higher), amid similar pricing, settings and location. Vietnamese iced coffee is well done with coffee flavoured ice cubes that won't dilute the experience with passing time.
5th Dec• Saturday night. We walked pass Miann and decided to give it a try. All the desserts looked pretty;) We had 2 Gelato Sticks and 2 cakes takeaway. Couldn't finish the cakes because they were way too too too sweet for us...
The macaroons here are alright. Quite a few unique flavours, not too sweet and are
prices at $2.50 each. Nothing really stood out that much about them, although a friend of mine really liked their cookies and cream one. The mango,coconat and pandan gelato stick is a recommendation from me. It just has the right balance of everything from a gelato.
I am very much a dessert type of gal.. So when I saw the sponsor advertisement of this place I was super excited to visit!
We were in the city for dinner and walked here to devour some sweetness.
It was quite packed around 9:30pm so we had to wait approximately 20 minutes for an indoor table. The lady (presumably the owner) was very warm and made sure we had a good time. Staff had extensive knowledge of the menu and were also friendly. I ordered the salted caramel gateaux dish from the cabinet and a Turkish delight macaroon :p both tasted nice. However, I think I would have preferred a dark chocolate dish instead. He ordered the 'balloon' and thought it was nice but nothing great. I liked how it wasn't deconstructed as those types of dishes can be a hassle. Would I come back? Yes - to try the gelato sticks!
When my group heard another desert outlet has opened up in downtown Auckland we were very excited. We arrived at 10pm on a Saturday night and were lucky to get a table amongst the crowd. The waitress explained the menu to us very well and I was sold on the Ballon - A red shell loaded with seven styles of strawberry. The presentation was sublime and the taste was sweet and pleasurable. My fiancés Gialato was excellent and the other reviews around the table were very positive. I look forward to trying more of their menu in the near future.
I'm blown away with how good their dessert dishes are. After a tiring day at work this place is a perfect way to destress yourself.
Staff are extremely friendly, courteous and the service was very fast. The desserts were spot on when it comes to the sugar levels and everything we ordered was a delightful treat.
The candy's however were too sweet but that's not really a bad thing either.
My friends enjoyed their dishes and its a cheap eat out too.
I'll be coming back here very often.
This place is SO SO good. The À la Carte especially the "Balloon" and the "Shells" are to die for. I had the Phillipine mango and coconut ice cream bar and found it a little too sweet but overall satisfied with the quality and the pricing :)

I've been meaning to try this cute place since I read the article about it in the metro. At an outlook, there is a good amount of space for people wanting to sit and eat as compared to other dessert places. For the outside space though, I would suggest an outdoor gas heater? Our group was seated within 15 mins of arrival around 8pm on a Saturday night - the rush hour starts around 8:30pm so I suggest you get in early if you want to try the a la carte menu. I came with 2 friends and we shared cabinet desserts and the a la carte. We had a hazelnut and salted caramel éclair, a banana and dulcey log, dark chocolate with passionfruit dessert and the balloon. The balloon had an amazing mango paste which worked well with the matcha mouse and softness of the sorbet alongside the texture of the biscuit. The eclair was a favourite because of the nutty flavour and had a good sweetness from the salted caramel. Overall great flavours, the desserts were fun and the staff were friendly and insightful on the desserts. Will be back again to try more of the cabinet desserts
Came here for dessert for two after dinner. Had "balloon" which is like a hardened mango sorbet with green tea ice filling plus bits and pieces on the side. I thought it tasted it a bit icey; understandably to hold form as it contained soft cool green tea ice cream inside. Presentable and creative in design nonetheless, probably wasted on a guy like me who destroyed it in seconds without much thought.
Service was friendly, place is a bit small more like a small corner cafe. I think the waiter was a bit taken back when he offered to explain my dish and I was like nah.
Priced at $14, a bit too much for some who may not appreciate this kinda thing; Im a simple
Man and I like simple things. But if you are someone who can dessert in more than a "yum" and a "nice," then give it a go.

I was so excited when I found out Miann was finally open. I went for the first time last week and the space is a nice change because it's bigger and more spacious than Milse. Brian Campbell is the ex head chef of Milse so I had high hopes for his new venture. I was happy to see that Miann is spacious, you can see the chefs working better and there's more room to move and view the lovely treats in the cabinet.
I got 4 gateaux to take home which was the salted caramel, dark chocolate, passionfruit and mango & coconut. First of all, they all look amazing and choosing which ones to get was so difficult! The staff made sure to pack the box really well too as I was taking it on the bus home. Thankfully they all survived the trip in one piece.
My favourite gateaux was the mango/coconut and dark chocolate. The passionfruit one was also good. My least favourite was the salted caramel but because I don't like raisins and it didn't have as much strong flavour like the others. The dark chocolate had the most flavour so for those that don't want a really sweet treat, I recommend that.
What I also like is how active Brian is on social media. He knows how to engage with customers and he has a competition running on Instagram to win a box of macarons. My photo got chosen so I won't a box of 6 macarons. I claimed it today and I was so excited. I chose: lemon, Oreo, salted caramel, smoked salt chocolate, green tea/passionfruit and espresso. I think there were only two other flavours I didn't get. My top three had to be the chocolate, lemon and espresso as they had the strongest flavours. The macarons had a good balance of crunchiness and softness so I liked them all.
I also got a mango and coconut gelato stick. It was a hot day so I couldn't resist picking one up while I walked to my bus stop. It was worth it because it was really good. It didn't fall apart and I ate it while walking the whole time.
The service on both times I went was excellent too. When I came to get my prize, Brian and Roselle Campbell were there. Roselle kindly explained to the staff about the competition and she was welcoming. She even offered to switch my prize to a gelato stick since I wanted one but I opted to buy the gelato stick so I can try the macarons as well.
The only reason I've given it a 4.5 is because I've yet to sit down inside and properly try what Miann has to offer. I plan on trying the a la carte menu soon and based from what I've tried so far, I won't be disappointed. I highly recommend if you're in the city.
Update: I tried the a la carte menu recently with a few friends and we all enjoyed our dessert. I got the cranachan which has berries, oats and chocolate. I also tried their eclair which was great but my favourite is the mango and coconut gelato stick.
Throughout this year, dessert mastermind Brian Campbell and wife Roselle have been popping up at Auckland restaurants under the name Sweet Cuisine. Now their dream restaurant is a tangible reality, in the form of gleaming cabinets filled with all sorts of pretty things you’d find in your dessert dreams, from gelato sticks, beautiful chocolates and cakes.
Lovely little place with very pretty desserts on view in the cabinets. Love how there's quite a few tables so we were not forced to takeaway our desserts.
We walked into Miann and went straight to the cabinet to see what we would like. A waiter approached us and asked if we wanted to be seated, and yes we did. We were shown to our seats and given the a la carte menu. We didn't really understand what he said but we weren't after that menu anyway, so we awkwardly went back up to the cabinet. Once we had chosen, another waiter took our orders and brought our desserts to our table.
The desserts were nice but nowhere near as perfect as their main competition. We also ordered an ice chocolate drink and a hot chocolate, which were in my opinion, better than the cakes.
Miann is a new dessert restaurant tucked away on Fort Street in city. There's a decent selection of cakes, gelato, chocolates and macaroons available as well as coffees and teas. The cabinet is so beautifully presented and makes me want to try everything! Worth a visit for those with a sweet tooth :)
Second round at Miann we ordered from the A la carte menu. The dishes that were recommended were super pretty and yummy too!
Macarons were very nice, had the salted caramel and green tea and pear. Flavours were delicate and perfectly balanced.
Service was spot on, would like to come back and try their dine in menu.
I'm so pleased to see more dessert parlours popping up around the place. We gave Miann a go last night and it was nothing less than expected.
A la carte desserts are $14 which I think are reasonably priced and they change every two weeks which keeps the menu fresh and exciting. The desserts were ordered were delicious but I think there's still space for improvement. I.e. The mango sorbet in the 'balloon' was too icy and lacked mango flavour; the raspberry and Rosemary soda a little too tart for our liking as well.
The service is helpful, attentive and personable. Had great knowledge of the menu and explained components of the desserts very well when dishes arrived.

Got a sweet tooth? Need to have that sugar fix? Want to reward yourself after that tough meeting? Or is it just your birthday? Well you're in for a treat (excuse the pun). This is a new patisserie tucked away in the Fort Street alley (which incidentally has grown into a lovely shared space) serving lovely deserts, little cakes, macaroons, and gelato sticks. Let's address the elephant in the room immediately and say yes, the deserts do look like they're something from Milse and to a lesser extent OKO Desert Kitchen. However in my opinion the flavours they use are unique to Miann. On our first visit we sampled just two items from their variety of offerings, one green tea gelato stick from the chilled case and another the mixed berry desert off their a la carte menu. The gelato stick had a good balance of green tea flavour without going overboard. It was definitely sweet but I felt well balanced out with the slight bitterness of green tea. The texture of the gelato stick was excellent, this is one of the coldest gelato stick I've had from any of the big three patisserie. It resulted in a very firm ice cream, which was pleasant to bite into. If you're not one for the sweet stuff, you can forego the shell which encases the gelato and just enjoy its beautiful insides. The ordered desert was a bit of a contrast. This one was tangy, and sour. I did enjoy this greatly as I'm very partial to slightly sour foods. The top wafer of tempered white chocolate was on the spot and probably would've made the balance of the dish even better if we had bothered to eat them together, but as it was we wolfed down the wafer before we even got to the berries.
Service wise they were personal and helpful to us. It was a busy night and we rocked up without a reservation, but was subsequently put on a waiting list. We were explained that the wait could vary from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, but ultimately seated within 15 minutes. The decor and lighting is very moody, which lends itself to the dark interior of the establishment. The brightest part of the shop was the preparation area and kitchen. It's pretty cool to be able to see things being made live. If you ever go in and seem lost, ask for Ashwin. Great waiter, extremely patient and knowledgeable. He'll definitely take care of you well. Well I think this review has rambled on for much too long, give them a visit, definitely worth your time!
Had takeaway, I think a dine in experience would be better. I'm a big sweet tooth, but for me while the concept is great, execution fell a bit short.
Tried the mango and coconut icecream stick, flavours were fine but the icecream didn't hold up and fell off the stick. Texture was disappointing given it wasn't a hot day and it's a premium product at $8 a pop. Also had some of the macarons, delicious - but then again I've never had a bad macaron anywhere!
Didn't meet my expectations, but I'll try them again and give them another shot given the beautiful interior and the friendly customer service.
Really enjoyed the desserts we all ordered. Such a huge variety... the worst part of the experience was having to choose! I had the chocolate and passionfruit cake. The chocolate was very rich but the passionfruit really picks the cake up.... The entire thing was delicious. All my friends ordered from the a la cart menu and they were quite nice too. They make those to order and are quite the works of art! The waiter that served us was really helpful and friendly. He really took his time to help us with our orders. Only downside is the place is very small so there's usually a wait for a table.

I'm a fan of Milse gelato sticks but most of their flavours are never really up my alley. This place is actually opened by the ex head chef of Milse so it's no surprise it looks similar!
Came here on Friday night after having dinner with my friends and there was no hesitation with what I wanted to try first from the menu - Dark Chocolate Sorbet gelato stick (with a type of berry, but I can't remember exactly at the moment TT). It was reaally really good! My friend's gelato stick was really good as well. The cakes were very unique (especially the heart one! - raspberry mousse + pistachio + green tea). Flavour wise, everything we got was deliciouuuss :D
It would be nicer if the shop was larger so it can accommodate to more people who want to dine in. I'll definitely be back to try their other cakes, gelato sticks and macarons.

First there was Milse, which although it opened in 2013, it forever remains my favourite restaurant, for their ever changeable desserts and exciting creations. It is also where I can go and order dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and not feel weird about it. Then came the Sweet Cuisine Dessert Pop Ups. Like a sit down dinner, but instead of a ‘normal’ three course meal, you were served three courses of desserts. This brought a whole new level to dessert dining.
