Great food from 8 different separate kitchens severed by a diverse group of Chefs. Had lunch on the full buffet. Standout for us was the Beef cheeks Which had been slow-cooked for 10 hours, it tasted incredible and had the Tenderness of butter. Fish, beef, Indian Italian, Japanese food inc sushi and sashimi. Great salad bar there. Staff couldn't be more helpful and polite

We went 6 am on a Saturday morning for breakfast and this was the absolute best experience. From the moment we walked in every single person we met on the staff greeted us good morning, it didn’t matter what their position was that you felt welcomed like we were visiting their home. The food was delicious very fresh and it was exactly what we were craving for a breakfast buffet the coffee was also included which was a bonus for barista coffee at a buffet. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back as a family

I fricken love this place, the food is delicious and the service is amazing.. it is pricey but worth it. Especially if you're a big eater! There's a really big variety of foods to pick from which is a plus! I doubt anyone would be able to try every single thing there. Really enjoyed my time there, the food suited my tastes too!

Love the experience of the different selections. Service was slow/difficult to get when wanting a drink. We were ordering drinks for the table, they took 1 drink order and then walked away...the whole table was trying to order.

It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to a buffet, mainly because it’s not that common here in NZ or it’s usually so expensive that it’s not worth it… but we were celebrating a birthday so might as well splurge once in a while 🤷🏻‍♀️ Availed of the dinner promo for $99 (usually $119). My favourite were the oysters, a creamy white sauce pasta - forgot what it’s called - and the crème brûlée.. the rest were also good but not phenomenal. If I were to commend something it would be more of the service. Most of the staff were sincerely warm and nice, very friendly and attentive. We also got a free slice of cake because of the birthday which was a nice touch. Was crazy full by the end of the 2-hour buffet limit. I couldn’t say what we paid for was worth it, but it’s ok to try at least once your life 👍 😋

I wanted to actually write a letter to say Thankyou but loved the idea of everyone seeing this publicly. I want to thank you to you all. My friend and I dined here on Friday evening and it was simply stunning. Fillipe from the moment you greeted us at the front door you had the most beautiful manner, I felt truely like we mattered right from the first interaction. We then got guided to the restaurant, shown around the options and then taken back to our table. The food was elegant, well presented and a lot of it. You won’t be disappointed they had options for everyone. The waitresses on that evening were friendly, welcoming and had lovely table service, honestly you should be thrilled to have this high level of staff onboard, NZ could learn a lot from this. After we had our fill we moved across to another bar, we talked gin and had a cocktail! It was one of the most memorable evenings I’ve had in a while. It was so nice to see hospitality at this level and I can’t wait to tell everyone I know to come here too, they need to experience this! I’ll be back, to me it was worth every single dollar! Thankyou! Stacey - Dunedin

Great value for breakfast. I have chosen the eight for my birthday breakfast which did not disappoint. Thank you to the wonderful and friendly host who accepted 2 pax walk in which was not a guarantee table on weekend after 9 am. The highlight of the buffet is barista coffe inclusive, and great quality of coffee. The pure orange juice machine, beautifully made omlette by a malaysian chef lady that customized the omlette to be spicy. Nice asian porridge with condiments. Fresh yogurt with mango lassi and honey comb. Fresh sorbet icecream on cone. We were stuffed after and happy with the food and service. Thank you Cordis for host us and be able to squeeze us in. We have left happy and wont be able to eat till dinner :)

I highly enjoyed my dining experience at Eight. My boyfriend and I went for our one year anniversary. I have allergies to Nuts and the head chef came out personally and showed me around to the items for me to avoid , That was very kind and accommodating as a buffet type of meal can be quite tricky with allergies. All the chefs were very friendly at each station which was awesome too. Only down side was that the wait staff were too efficient and were clearing plates that i wasn't finished with and took away my knife and fork so i had to get a new set each time! Would defiantly recommend to others and hope to return!

People like to think this is a fancy establishment but it's not, really it's every man for himself! (We loved it) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Haven't been here for a long time. So came here today to celebrate a birthday. We tried most of the kitchen but i'll only mention the things I like or worth mentioning. My favourite was definitely the stir fry prawns with the fried noodles from the Chinese cuisine kitchen. The prawn had such a nice char taste and the noodles was crispy and full of flavour. The American Grill was also nice, I love the Ostrich steak. The seafood was not bad, I had a few oysters and crab which was fresh. Sashimi station was pretty good, that was all I had there. The chef there was pretty rude I felt. The dessert was pretty good, I think they under did the creme brulee, as the cream underneath was more runny then it should be. I know how to make it well personally, so I dont recommend that here. My favourite dessert though was the pistachio cake, it had wonderful aroma and the spongecake was not too heavy. Overall the food here was tasty but I think not super outstanding, good to try once in a blue moon.

The place didn’t disappoint at all. Everything we wanted was offered. I read some reviews about this place prior to booking and some just didn’t make sense. We looked at the menu…liked what we saw and ate to our hearts content. My wife loves oysters…I’m glad she stopped after after a hundred….joking! we loved it and the staff was amazing! friendly efficient.

Totally amazing breakfast! Came here with family and friends to celebrate a gratitude day. Buffet breakfast here is lovely. Food is delicious and you got everything. Staff always there available for any help might be needed/support. Ambience is cool and tidy. Toilets are immaculately clean. Would definitely recommend to everyone who comes to Auckland, never miss this place. Booking is essential though.

OUTSTANDING! Was really looking forward to dining here and it absolutely lived up to my expectations! Such a huge variety and everything was delicious! The extra bonus was having your meat and/or seafood cooked in front of you was fabulous and the kids adored the dessert section. 10/10 for quality. The price was $120 per person. I think is slightly high for kids if they did under 16’s for half the price due to they don’t eat as much or don’t all the different cuisines which would be good as a family of 4 was very expensive. But honestly best buffet and food I’ve had in a long time!
