This place is amazing, I came here not too long ago and everything about Cafe Monet is top notch! The service is superb, the food is fresh and tasty and the portions are large. The Latte I ordered as well looked unique and tasted just as good as it looked too. I would strongly recommend here if you wanted a great cafe experience
Great coffee, i recommend the bliss balls they accompany the coffee perfectly. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint and very enjoyable, staff are friendly and humble.
Have been going here for years and I haven't had a bad day here. Staff is always friendly and Anton brings such a happy vibe to the whole place and all the regulars seem to know each other. The panini's are brilliant and the coffee is always amazing and consistent. Monet is definitely one of the best cafes in Auckland in my opinion.

My first time here , realy like it , my omelette was so delicious, tasty and big portion,my husband had a crepe was nice too, we didn't have any drinks will try coffee next time .friendly staff and owner, warm atmosphere .we will definitely come back to try drinks and lunch menu.

Cafe Monet has the most friendly and welcoming staff. There is always a smile waiting for you when you walk in accompanied by a friendly salutation. The coffee is top notch and quick to come out. The food is superb and they are always willing to adapt to whatever your needs.

Everything at cafe Monet is prepared with love - the awesome food made in the premises, the delicious coffee and the friendly, fast and efficient service from Anton and his crew. I was surprised how much I liked this place! I was there very early in the morning, and it was very busy, so its clearly quite popular! The staff were very friendly, and very kindly replaced my coffee after I spilled it all over myself......! Interior was ok, but the food seemed great and decent portion sizes. I had the pancakes and very much enjoyed them.

Incredible food, had the egg bap roll with a stunning home made chutney. Service was fast, staff are friendly and inviting and the atmosphere is energetic and fun.

Their cream cheese Berry muffin was also fantastic. They also do double shot as standard for coffees unlike some cafes that skimp on coffee.
I haven't tried the food here and I occasionally pop in for a coffee but it is the most welcoming cafe I have ever walked into. The staff are also so cheerful and they remember you and your order if you become a regular. I've noticed that this cafe has many regulars- you see the same people always enjoying their breakfast/lunch. It shows how great the service is if you see the same people each week. I will pop by next time to try their food. I'm sure it will be as great as their service!

Haven't tried the food here yet. But I took away an iced mocha and a couple biscottis'. The staff was friendly and attentive, and very aware of whose orders were where and who was waiting for what. The iced mocha was fab, I find it really hard to find a good iced mocha (so far in akl there is only 2 other places). Biscottis' were good too! Will def return for some food next time.

[Edit/update]: tried the food today. Was taken a little aback, the menu was generally filled with different types of sandwiches and pretty much nothing else. However, it was very enjoyable. It was clean eating and the portions were sufficient as a meal. I had my reservations thinking it might be yaverage sandwich of disappointment. The chutney in the sandwiches are amazing ! Would return when I need of a something light, fresh, and filling.

We went to this cafe for breakfast this morning before my wife's doctor appointment. Strategically located with plenty of parking, friendly staff, nice environment. We didn't expect much because it was our 1st visit, but the food didn't let us down, they were awesome. We will surely go again, lunch maybe?

We had mushrooms and the salmon salad. The mushrooms were delicious, the salmon salad was a little underwhelming for the price (looked good on the top layer but nothing mixed through)

I now come here every time I'm in Auckland. The coffee is awesome and the owner really knows how to make people feel welcome. I would call this the friendliest cafe in Auckland!

Monet is the best cafe in the world!! Coffee and breakfast are stunning!! Ash is such a character and the rest of the team are excellent... Im living in the south island and fly all the way to Monet, Newmarket, Auckland just to feast on a decent breaky and a superb coffee the will blow your mind!! I recommend that whoever you are, get down there asap and enjoy.
Very friendly service. I had bacon avocado and brie crostini and it was fabulous. I also had a very large coffee which was equally as good.
Would definitely go there again if I'm in the area, even though slightly more expensive than I'm used to, but I guess it's that part of town.
Our goal today was to walk from Newmarket railway Station to Hobson Bay return. We popped into Cafe Monet to avoid the rain. And what a fabulous choice! I prefer my coffee hot, and I did not even have to ask, it came hot and strong. Delicious. Plus there was a wonderfully charming smiling man serving us.
I was in the area for an eye exam, arriving a bit early I decided to grab a cup and I saw Cafe Monet. Ordered my usual, Cappuccino.
I was offered a coffee card but declined as I live in the shore. In hind sight, I should have grabbed the card, their coffee is FANTASTIC! The young lady behind the counter was very nice as was the guy making the coffee. I will certainly make the trip next weekend for my fix but with breakfast this time !

I love Monet it is the best little cafe in the country with brilliant coffee great and friendly service all year round! With great owner the business is very cool and a great place to go and relax in the remuera/new market area!

I spent 2 years overseas recently and whilst I enjoyed my time very much, I couldn't wait to get home to a mocha from Monet :D
Monet is a cute French themed cafe, with lots of carparking (a rare thing in Newmarket!) The staff are very friendly and attentive and clearly take care of both new and regular customers.
My favourite is the Mediterranean vegetable panini, which at $16 is rather pricey for a panini! But very worth it, a meal in itself.
Overall the menu is a little pricey, but this is to be expected in Remuera/Newmarket. I have never been disappointed by the food. :)

Just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Broadway and Nuffield St in Newmarket is Cafe Monet on Remuera Rd. With a lovely umbrella'd courtyard, albeit only separated by iron railings from the adjacent (free) car park, it's a pleasant place to have a meal or coffee on a summers day The staff are so welcoming and friendly and attentive, the owner Anton is usually in the house and often one or more of his family too! We went for lunch on the recommendation of a friend who breakfasts there regularly, and certainly got top service! The breakfast menu is served all day and one of our little group chose the mushrooms from this menu They were delicious and plentiful served with garlic, haloumi and feta on crispy bread. Another diner chose the salmon and avocado sandwich - plain but fresh with lots of salmon and I chose bacon Brie and banana panino - such a tasty combination The wine list is small but adequate, the coffee is quite excellent, hot and continental. While the name suggests French food I'd say the menu was rather European,- Italian influences certainly abound
Put it on your list of options for Newmarket casual eateries- you won't be disappointed :-)
Great food and good service. Tiny cafe near the Newmarket Train Station. The outdoor area is lovely until a person with a huge smelly cigar sits in the table besides you. It would be 5 stars to me if smoking wasn't allowed in the patio.
We just visited this cafe for the first time and the manager as well as the staff members have made our entire day(and probably this entire week).Thank you so much for your shining spirit and generosity! We ordered soy cappuccino and it had the fluffiest and finest milk foam I’ve ever tasted, highly recommend if that’s what you like. We also ordered oat porridge and Scrambled eggs with baked beans and bacon. The proportion size was great, there were more than enough for the two of us. Both simple and delicious. Can’t wait for our next visit.💛 Oh and pro-tip for anyone like me who prefers to sit in the sun, don’t forget to put on sunscreen.
Found this beautiful establishment while staying in Newmarket for a week. My love for Monet led me to this lovely cafe. The staff are refreshingly friendly, a type of personable interaction that's almost a lost art. Working through the week I only had time for the impeccable latte on my first few visits. Finally I ordered the ratatouille for lunch and couldn't have been more satisfied. A generous portion of fresh vegetables over a delicious flatbread and plenty of olive oil made up my favorite lunch experience of the week. I would be here regularly if I lived in New Zealand.
DELICIOUS iced coffee here and the crepe was also yum and very well portioned! Service was amazing too and the outdoor area makes you feel like you are overseas. Can't fault the place, highly recommend it!

They offer parking voucher to the Wilsons car park 50m up the road. Food and coffee were good but I thought the bread was a little dry and scrambled eggs were scalding hot. Very friendly staff.
Absolutely delicious food, huge portions for such cheap prices. I ordered a hot choc for 5.50 and it was massive! Also got the french toast for $20 and it was huge and delicious 🤤. Service was amazing, one of the staff members brought us glasses already filled with water and ice and another came over to refill it for us! Staff were extremely friendly and nice. Would 100 % recommend. Very satisfied 😊
