Stumbled on this place on a windy and cold day for some peppermint tea. Place was quiet and really nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and quick
Nice little cafe with friendly staff. Had a lot of people come in for the coffee so it must be a good spot. Tried the spicy beef mince for breakfast. Decent fiil for the price. Awesome music selection

Monthly coffee team with office team, we headed to K road to found this great cafe.. i ordered black coffee and have some chocolate muffin for snack.. the muffin is perfectly match with the butter and really nice..
Absolutely love this café, underrated in so many ways. Love their breakfast special of Eggs Benny with Salmon, the Halloumi/Avo bagel is so good as well not mention very yummy coffees. I usually get hazelnut Mocha and it's too die for. In Summer, their iced coffees are joyful too!
Great place for breakfast. Lovely coffee to start the day plus a big breakfast which comes in big portions and big on taste. Friendly staff and quick service and a nice spot on K'Rd to start the day with a happy stomach.
Walking past it looks bright so I had to come and try and I was looking forward to great hot choc drink and that was only warm and was not enough. I had the the salmon egg Bennie and that was great but needed more seasoning. I will be back to try it again
Great food, lovely scones and cabinet food as well as great kitchen prepared food also . Good affordable options. Good looking and friendly barristas! Great quick coffee also.
I had late lunch at Scullery today.
Good thing about this place is that they close at 6pm and they do all day breakfast.
I love traditional breakfast food but it's quite hard for me to have them during afternoon. Ive found a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast anytime.
We ordered pancake with bacon and banana, and egg bene with bacon. Both were delicious. Portion was generous. I felt really full afterwards. They don't have fancy decorations on the plate like all the other cafes ate trying to do to follow the trend but whats on the plate is worth paying for. Coffee and iced chocolate were nice too.
When I first walked in, there were few customers sitting at the table enjoying their coffee but no one at the counter. There was a bell so I rang the bell and both chef and barista ran to the counter to serve me haha. Their service was good and It seems like its a cafe with lots of regular customers.
Op shopping on K'Road always includes brunch inbetween 😋. I was attracted to the dark wood accents outlining the entrance and the friendly smile from the staff as you walk by. A quaint little spot on Auckland's most eccentric street, but the food stands out. From the health conscious lulu lemon wearing ladies to the burliest men, there's something on the menu for everyone. Dairy free? No worries. Carnivore? Sweet as. The price is a tad high but the quality is just right. Next time you're out grabbing a 90's sweatshirt, stop in here for a quick bite to eat!
Perfect little spot for an affordable and delicious breakfast. The coffee is good and food is always delivered to the table within a good time time frame. Staff are lovely, friendly and very welcoming.
Really good place to go coffee and mesl
Ttwo of us Went this place for lunch. This cafe Look small cafe but looks good enough .
We ordered Smached avo and french toast with bacon and banana. Was so amazing. Avocado with feta do yummy and Good service good cooffee good meal.
We are sure we Will be back again very soon.
Open from 7am to 3pm will try morning tea as well.
Just located on k road really close to Queen st.
See you soon scullery
For a cafe breakfast, brunch or lunch, Scullery will not be a great choice.
Very predictable menu and decent coffee. this is a good typical cafe.
I like a bit more creativity and variety so although I work across the road, I don't come here much. but whenever I'm with people who like to keep it simple and stick to the tried and tested, I bring them here. I've never been let down by a bad meal or a bad coffee, never, which is actually very cool, but I've also never been impressed.
I'll definitely come back here at least once a month.
Nice addition to K Rd, spacious cafe with baked goods from Scratch Bakers. Coffee is good but not amazing. Good range of choices on the menu as well.
Cool place at K Road with good options for breakfast, but nothing is really outstanding.
The coffee is better than average, but my food was a little bit dry and lacking flavour.
Price is fair and service is very kind.
Perfect way to begin the day :-) Flat white coffees artfully presented and tasted good, followed by the perfect Egg benedict and french toast.
Amazing soy lattes! I had a ham sandwich/burger (if you want to call it that) from here which was pretty average, the ham was tender but the bun was extremely dry and lacked the softness of most others, which took away from what would have otherwise been a decent sandwich. Great team who were attentive and friendly so would definitely go back again but maybe try something else
So yummy what we had
Tasty chicken salad
Delicious sandwich
Yummy smoothie and hot chocolate
Friendly staff
Only little thing in my salad they put uncooked spring onion so it was a little bit strong for me 😓
Will go back again !
A great little cafe with chic decor and a lovely bright interior. The staff were super friendly, funny and down to earth, loved their service here. I ordered the toasted nut & flaxseed muesli for brunch , along with a flat white. The muesli was fragrant and quite nice, although I wish it had been a bit more on the crunchy/crispy side. The serving size was a little small for the price as I’ve definitely had bigger portions at the price point. Still, the coffee was good and the overall experience was definitely positive.
When my boyfriend told me he'd found the best coffee in Auckland, I had to let him take me there. I have to say, it probably was the best coffee in town, screw Starbucks this is some next level stuff right here. I ordered a hot chocolate because I'm not a big coffee drinker and my boyfriend got a flat white. I tried a little of his coffee and it was awesome, it was creamy and strong. I had thought until now that Starbucks did the best hot chocolates but I was mistaken, I found it here.
The long haired fellow working at the counter talked very fast but he was also very lovely, and made awesome drinks. From now on I will only be coming here for my cafe needs.
Loved it. The bacon toastie is incredible. Good value for a great bit of food on a wooden block with extra relish. Coffee strong. Recommended
Robin Kim and I had a delicious breakfast this morning. We ordered a chicken and herb pie, scrambled eggs with bacon and a flat white. The flat white was strong which was excellent since other places usually have a mild taste. The wait for the food was kinda long but it was seriously worth the wait. The bacon is not ordinary bacon! It's thick and smokey and absolutely the star! Full of flavour! I hardly ever get bacon so this blew my mind! The eggs were wonderful, cooked perfectly. The pie was flaky and fresh, not very saucy but the inside was still moist. It was accompanied with sauce (not sure what it is was), watercress and tart pickles. It was our first time trying out this place and I would recommend giving it a go!
Delicious! My new favourite cafe, think I love it more than Chuffed on High St (and I love Chuffed). Came here for brunch and ordered the toastie. Tried the pork belly and mine was the jamon, manchego and truffle butter with a side of dijon mayo? and pickles. It was divine, I was stuffed after the first half but couldn't help myself and polished off the second half. The toastie itself had just the right amount of cheese and jamon, very rich and slightly salty and with each bite you got a touch of truffle butter.
Nice design inside and they also sell pastries from Scratch Bakers. Our coffee was average though. Will definitely be back.
Trendy cafe, nice interior with wood and white & black furnishings. Can see this being our new local cafe.
Came for brunch and coffees. Had a long black but coffee was a little on the sour side (probably from a busy morning service and the machine heads needed a good clean). We'll give the coffees another chance. Had the pork belly toastie - so good. Perfectly toasted, beautiful filling combo, and served on a wooden board with jalapeño mayo and house made pickles. Wolfed it down, bonus points for great value, coming in at 9.50 a toastie. Very gourmet in flavour but good on price.
Dying to try a pie if the toasties are anything to go by. Be back soon.
Best coffee I've had in this country, also ordered the savory scone and the Mrs grabbed the mushroom toastie...was yummy as bro 😎 . And the staff are very cool people polite and friendly 👌...I'll be back.
I will never snub the humble toastie ever again!! This toastie made my day...combined with the elite service of our bearded waiter this experience is worthy of my stars... the bearded man even spoke in a posh voice at one point which made me feel like I was posh. The toastie was spilling over with mushrooms and cheese in the focacia type bread! To the side was a sauce which had a taste of hot spice, a perfect blend, DELESHIMO!! Oh and it was $9.50!!!!
Normal looking hipster cafe, I thought it was going to be a normal lunch but this place has an exceptional level of service, the waiter was hilariously quirky and the scroll I bought from the cabinet was out of this world. Only downside was lipstick on my glass but I couldn't be bothered complaining because everything else was grand!
Walked past this place so many times and finally decided to try. The service was awesome, kudos to the guy with the beard that works there. Had the waygu mince and my boyfriend had the tacos, both really tasty! The only down fall was the coffee, which I was so guttered about because I was hoping it'd be my local coffee spot. I am really really fussy about coffee though, so may need to give it another go.
Quick coffee stop, nice strong coffee, cool sounds and a nice quiet spot to sit down in and have a quick read of the paper before getting back out onto a busy K Road.
My new favorite breakfast spot. We had the mushroom ragout on toast, wagyu mince on toast and topped it off with banana maple & peanut chocolate smoothies (they are to die for!). Fast service, quality food, friendly staff. A must try!

Was looking for a place to have a breakie a bit more adventurous than your ol' bacon and eggs - ordering the spiced wagyu mince on toast and my gf ordering the mushroom ragoo, the scullery did not disappoint!! Big flavours, with fast and friendly service. Will be back to try their toasties
Am giving a 5 because I can't fault this place. We stopped by one morning just for a coffee and it was a very good coffee so we came back for breakfast.
Our second cups of coffee were excellent too, as was the breakfast. It wasn't a speedy affair, so don't come in a rush. It was done carefully and well.
I had been dreaming about the brioche, there were 3 options and I went for the peanut and chocolate one. It was shaped like a huge muffin and had mine toasted. It was cut in half and came with butter. It was good, oh so good. The balance of the bread and filling was perfect. This was a seriously good bread based experience.
Mr had what on the menu as a toasted sandwich with half inch think bacon, friend egg and tomato kasundi. It was rather fancy. It was beyond your average tasted sandwich. He ate it with a smile.
We would both go back for the coffee alone and now the food too.
Great cafe with a good vibe, friendly staff in a hip neighborhood of Auckland. The coffee is amazing (3 bean blend - we're coffee snobs from Melbourne ;-) ).
The menu is refreshing and unpretentious: suggest a visit for a break from your usual humdrum.
We enjoyed forest mushrooms and buffalo halloumi on garlic toast and a chicken, egg and tomato kasundi (house special) toastie, from their updated menu.
Thumbs up guys!
I had only come with one friend so we only get to try 2 dishes on the brunch menu, which were the forest mushroom ragu and scrambled eggs with avocado.
We thought the mushroom ragu was a bit too salty but otherwise would be very good. The scrambled eggs was good but nothing special. Coffee was good though.
However they do have a really interesting menu, every dish sounds sophisticated and with the good reviews, I do have high expectations when I come back next time for lunch. Prices are slightly higher than normal cafes though.
This is my second time to this place. When we came here the first time, we were told that we had to wait for pork belly and salmon for an hour because they were sold out. So we left the place, and came back here again as it's one of the 'must try' brunch cafes on metro and zomato.
I ordered prawn toast and mocha. My friends ordered pork belly roll, chicken pie, and salmon rillettes. One of my friends wanted to order their beef tacos because the tacos is one of their signature dishes but unfortunately they were sold out. We also ordered the creme brulee tart.
The prawn toast was amazing. The prawns were so fresh and nicely cooked. The halloumi and toast complimented really well. The pickled cucumber on the side was good as well. The chicken pie was good but nothing special. The pork belly roll had a asian touch to it, as it has sambal in it. It has a unique taste, a good one. You can try the pork belly roll if you are planning to try something different. The salmon rillettes were good but nothing special, the portion was small though. The creme brulee tart was really yum, I am not really a fan of creme brulee but i enjoyed the tart. It wasn't too sweet and it was yummy.
The service was okay. However we waited for quite some time for the dishes even though the restaurant was quite empty at that time. Maybe this is because they wanted to serve all the dishes at the same time. I will return as the food was good. :)
Been meaning to try this place for a long time now, and only finally got around to it yesterday. It's a small cute little place, ideal for a date as they mainly have small tables and a few big ones. We came in a group of 7 and just fitted the table they have out front. It's a little bit squishy but it's nice n cozy. I really like the interior and layout of the place, very simple, neat and efficient. It seems like there were only two staff working out front on a busy Friday lunch time, but despite the crowdedness, they were still very friendly and quick, even remembering all 7 orders off by heart! I ordered the pork belly burger and the chocolate peanut butter smoothie. The burger was not bad but a few others loved their tacos. I highly recommend the chocolate peanut butter smoothie. I was very hesitant to order it at first, as I was expecting it to be too rich and overpowering, but it turned out to be very smooth, perfect consistency, very easy to down the whole drink! I'll most definitely come back to try other things on their menu, as they serve wholesome and hearty meals, also organic food.
Scullery is hands down one of the best cafés I have visited. The food menu is extensive, without being overwhelming, and it is very excellently executed.
The beef short rib tacos were very tender and full of flavour. I ordered the forest mushroom ragu with haloumi and smoked garlic toast which was absolutely divine! The toast had just the right amount of crunch and the mushrooms almost melted in my mouth.
The banana, maple and cinnamon smoothie is a stroke of genius and I often go back for more!
we came for brunch, both ordered the mushroom ragu and coffee's - amazing!. Fabulous food, great staff and a funky atmosphere.
Nice food , lovely coffee, friendly staff
I tried this cafe with a friend today and we both loved it! Excellent food - I had the quinoa bircher and she had the warm chicken salad which were both great. Clean, open kitchen was a bonus because you can't see how chefs cook at many places these days. Coffee was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect for us - loved the music and decor was really cool. We will definitely be back!
I have been to Scullery multiple times before for coffee, which has always been excellent so I was eager to try true food. I started with a soy flat white that came out promptly and was delicious.
I also ordered the forest mushroom ragu with buffalo haloumi on toasted bread. It was easily the best mushroom breakfast I've ever had. I initially thought the serving size was quite small, but it was quite filling. All the flavours worked together perfectly.
The staff all seemed very nice, except for the girl behind the counter who was quite unfriendly, however, the guys who brought my food out were both very nice. Such a great cafe, will visit often.
At Scullery I have fulfilled a dream. It is the first cafe where I can officially and proudly call myself a regular- and I will unabashedly say that I love it. I'm usually a have-what-I-had-last-time kind of return customer, but the menu at Scullery is so good that I have been branching out. It's a place where you will never get menu envy, because everything is fantastic. The normal things are on the menu: french toast, scrambled eggs, mince on toast, but everything is of the highest quality, and come with thoughtful little additions that at first seem like a nice touch of something different, and then, after a couple of bites, change the game entirely. That said, Scullery pulls off being astounding without being pretentious. The decor (stylish without being excessive) and the service (perfect level of attention and water-refilling) are the underpinnings of consistently wonderful meals. The coffee is also amazing (Three Beans) and, if you take it away, comes in compostable cups! I also recently discovered (read: stole from my sister) the banana maple smoothie. Well. I am not usually a smoothie person, unless I'm feeling particularly healthful, and I don't much like bananas, but as for everything else on their menu: I suggest you go there and I suggest you get it.
I was really excited to hear that the newest cafe on K’ Rd, Scullery, has a philosophy to ‘minimise our environmental impact wherever possible with the aim of being zero-waste’. They do this through recycling all packaging and compost food waste through We Compost. The cafe is fitted out with pre-loved materials wherever possible and use recycled paper for their menus.

Scullery is a modern café with a great ethos of minimising its waste, composting and recycling. The menu has some adventurous options for those seeking something unique (think suckling pig, rabbit pie, wagyu mince on toast and quinoa bircher muesli) and everything is priced at under $19. The food we had was tasty and the coffee was great! Recommend trying it out if you’re in the area. For more information, check out our blog: http://yummyauckland.com/2013/11/17/scullery/
Lovely cafe on K Road serving classic breakfast dishes. Had eggs benedict one day and the egg and rice the next. Both were fantastic!
Had the Avocado Smash, absolutely delicious. Made with high quality ingredients full of flavour. Yum!

Yes, I really enjoyed this one. Great coffee and the food showed attention to detail. Ordered the English breakfast and enjoyed it very much!
The B👏E👏S👏T cafe in Auckland ☕🥑🍳 Yeah I said it! The coffee is outstanding, the food is next level - perfectly poached luscious eggs with micro herbs, tangy yet creamy goat feta and a thick home made bread that will blow you mind! 💞 Oh and that avo - perfection. Its one of the most affordable breakfasts in the post code yet maintains true quality. Also - the staff are SO lovely, there is free WiFi (weirdly unavailable in many spots), nice bathrooms and original artworks. This is a proper cafe! Oh and wow... the fresh, pure, crushed olive oil #MELT served with the breakfasts... It is quality heaven.
Little cute café, might not look as trendy as other places but food and coffee will not disappoint you at all. EPIC full english breakfast and pancakes! YUM
and price was not bad either
Scullery has the most amazing eggs benedict!! Food is always delicious and they give you a huge amount so you won't go hungry. The bagels and pancakes are also a must try. The owner and employees are very friendly and attentive. Definitely my favorite cafe in Auckland
Lovely restaurant with a very enthusiastic server. Walked in on a busy Saturday afternoon, what i wanted wasnt available but that was fine cause the food was delicious. I was served by one of the nicest gentleman while there who even with the busy time gave me his time to ensure I was happy with my choice. Would definitely visit again
So yummy!! Staff is really nice, ambience is on point - it’s a place you could come for brunch/coffee on your own and stay to work on stuff or to come with loved ones and chat forever over a delicious meal! Whatever you choose, make sure you get the eggs benny with bacon it’s PHENOMENAL at first I thought “it’s a bit expensive” but then I realized it’s served with a whole pack of bacon 🥓 AND it comes with a hash brown. Honestly it was perfect, 10/10 would recommend I will most definitely be coming back for more some time soon!
Excellent veggie breakfast, large enough to share. Great juices and coffee. Lovely team working here.
Cutest little cafe, a haven amongst a busy street. The service was fantastic and coffees to die for. Love the decorations and the pastries and small meal options were delicious. We came here 3 times during our short stay and are sad we don’t have a cafe like this at home. Keep up the good work!
