Genta has always been my favorite sake bar to visit for the last few years.
Staff changed quite a bit, menu is changed lately, but the food quality remains the same, or even better.
Initially tried the place with former colleagues, soon to become very loyal.

Absolutely delicious, I definitely can guarantee this Beef Tataki is the best taste I have tried so far in whole Auckland. Friendly, helpful service, great atmosphere and a wide range of authentic, reasonably priced Japanese food. Since visiting Tokyo this has been the closest to my experience!

As you walk in, you inmediately find yourself engrossed in japanese culture. A bustling atmosphere, which brings japan to you. Often quite full, a wait nothing longer than 5 minutes. Food variety is huge. One low point is the time you wait for food. Wish that more staff are available. Staff genuinel

So so yum. One of the best Japanese place I have found in Auckland. Not to expensive. And is great that you can buy a load of stuff and share it between the table so you can have a little bit of everything. Very clean and easy access from the city. Paid parking not far away if needed to. I would 10

Food is normally really good, but sashimi was frozen.
Racked up quite a bill, but it was worth it. It a a good place for a few drinks or for a celebration. Food was tasty, service amazing and the staff 👌
