Can’t fault anything about our experience here. A group of 10, and we all loved the cocktails, the food was beyond delicious, the service was fantastic. Totally top notch evening had. Totally recommend.
Top tip: HAVE that sweet potato bread, outstanding!

We had the steak (pic 4) which was slightly disappointing😞, the steak was very chewy, and carrots was very raw & crunchy which is odd as it looked like it was cooked properly. We also had the beef burger🍔 which was absolutely beautiful! One of the best burgers we have ever had. Beef patty was juicy and so tasty with the onion rings. We loved their Espresso Martini and Strawberry Mint cocktails 🍸🍹which were super refreshing.⠀

Refreshing flavours of the pacific! Loved the seafood selection and also the bread and ribs! Thought the sizes can be a bit bigger for the price but nevertheless worth a try!

Had fish n chips- pretty decent. Wife had chicken yakitori salad which was very good. Washed down with strawberry mojito and a whiskey cocktail. Nice chilled out vibe with music to relax and watch the sun go down over the water....

Great food and cocktails and fun decor. Loved that there are so many options for gluten free/dairy free that are clearly marked on the menu. The chicken karaage is awesome!! Easily the best place in Wynyard Quarter for dinner and drinks ❤️

Have been wanting to try this place for ages. Finally went along with a group of friends. The food was faultless other than the dumplings being a little bland.

We had the following:
- sweet potato bread: 5/5
- ika mata: 5/5 (wish there was more of it for $20)
- soft shell crab sliders: (5/5)
- Hulihuli chicken (4/5)
- beef yakitori sticks

+ x2 cocktails - our bill came too almost $200 which we left and had a second dinner elsewhere as most of the portion sizes are entree sizes.

The atmosphere is nice and very staff are very attentive and friendly.

Price vs portion sizes are really the only downfall.

But I suppose your paying for the location.

Lovely vibes in Wynyard quarter near the viaduct. Great service too and the seats are nice. The chicken yakitori salads were delicious. I like fusion food so this was refreshing.

I hadn’t heard anything about this restaurant, but purchased a early dinner 50% off coupon and decided to head along.
I was really really surprised! The Hawaiian/island/Asian fusion works quite well and provides a point of difference from the stock standard Asian fusion joints.
Their kumara bread is to die for! We got seconds of those! And everything else, including dessert (which I normally wouldn’t get) was delicious!
I’d come back and pay full price any day!
Oh I forgot the lamb ribs - don’t forget to order some of those too, they’re out of this world good

Came here with the family for dinner recently and this is the only restaurant on the Viaduct that I actually like! All the other restaurants are low quality and boring and going here was so refreshing! The only one actually worth going too to be honest. Started off with the pineapple + cardamom cooler and it was so nice and refreshing, I ended up ordering another one! My brother got the salted grapefruit and sage quencher which I tried and didn't like as it was a bit sour and salty but just not my cup of tea. To eat we got the high tide feasting plate, the chicken yakitori and we got another order of chicken kaarage to share. I loved the chicken karaage, so glad we got another order it was the perfect size and was cooked so well. I also tried the pot sticker dumplings and they were really good aswell. The actual restaurant is decorated amazingly. Definielty recommend!!

The vibe of the space was really cool! It made me feel like I was on a beach somewhere. The high tide platter was amazing with a great selection of different flavours and textures. All in all, an enjoyable experience.

Good luck coconut is situated right on the north wharf pier. Went for six of the small plates to share between two. The ika mata and beef bulgogi are awesome looking dishes with the flavour to boot. Ribs were excellent. Dumpling and karaage so so. Actually has a decent beer list and wine list as well as cocktails. Service was good on an empty night. Venue would be stunning at dusk in summer.

Operated by the same owners as One Tree Grill, the Good Luck Coconut was definitely not a disappointment. The massive restaurant is divided into a bar and dining area. Super friendly staff. Exquisite decor bringing a pacific vibe to the restaurant.

Food are exceptionally good. Especially the entrees, which were well presented and great mix of flavours. Food were also quick to serve.

Would definitely revisit!

We booked lunch at The Good Luck Coconut on a Saturday and the restaurant was relatively empty but felt warming at the same time. The interior is beautifully decorated and themed, all complete with a tiki hut bar.

We ordered a couple of their cocktails to start and the waiter was very friendly.

One of my friends has been away from New Zealand for a while, and she loved the poke and fries in particular.

The beef was also perfectly cooked/seasoned while the chicken karaage was another crowd pleaser.

The prawns looked the nicest and best presentation however could have more flavour. We really enjoyed our experience and will be coming back!

Good Luck Coconut is the perfect place for a Hawaiian theme party - just like the one we had. I've organised an event for 40 people and wanted a restaurant to cater to our group, without having all of them to just sit and chat with the person beside them the whole evening. Thus, Nick (TGLC) suggested a fantastic space with high tables/chairs for the group so they could mingle and eat from any table.

Food was amazing.. great portions and delicious.

Based on experience, when we have any finger food dinner, the guys will still be hungry after dinner.. however, this time at Good Luck Coconut, everyone had a great dinner and enjoyed themselves that evening.

P/S: the only thing to improve on is the Pina Colada. Heard a couple of feedback from our group regarding their welcome drink - 'could have been better'. Other than that, all is well.

Thanks again for hosting us.

Went here with friends and my 5 year old daughter. Our waiter was great, he was very attentive and friendly. The table ordered steak which was cooked to perfection and delicious, the special of the day which was a chicken salad, this was delicious and portion wise was perfect, the two of us that ordered the salad really liked it. The 5 year old had the chicken skewers and fries with slaw from the kids menu, she really loved this meal and ate everything. The portion for the kids meal was just right as sometimes the portions are far too big for the little humans. Really liked it here and we will definitely be going back to try out the other menu items.

Great service, staff bright and bubbly and make amazing conversation. All drinks amazing especially non-alcoholic mocktails and cocktails. We ordered all the sides and it was just as filling and satisfying as ordering a main plus the opportunity to try different foods. Great ambiance and scene, alive and bubbly place. Great for meals or just a drink.

I was pleasantly shocked at how busy they were on a Thursday after work! The front area almost looked like there was some event happening!

We had a nice spacious seated area around the back next to their fireplace.
Very relaxing tiki-pacific style interior decor.

From 'RAW' we got Tataki Beef. From 'SMALL' we got Pork Ribs.
From their MAINS we got the Taro Leaf wrapped Chicken Breast and their Steak Fillet.

Food arrived incredibly prompt and beautifully presented!

- The Tataki was incredibly delicious, with punchy smoky flavours and well-seasoned. Thick, generous cuts of rare beef that was super juicy and tender. The charcoal rice crisps on the side was a nice touch! The citrusy jam was the perfect way to balance out the heavy smokiness of the tataki and takes your taste buds to the pacific beach.
- Pork Ribs were nicely smoked, albeit the meat was a bit too hard and was not falling off the bone as I'd hoped for. Makes for a great appetite-opening as it makes you yearn for better food to come!
- Taro Leaf Chicken was well-seasoned and was cooked to perfection; none of that dry hard-to-swallow texture. Mushrooms were creamy and saucy and we mopped this plate clean.
- Ribeye Steak was again top-notch! Thick juicy fillet on beautifully grilled eggplant and vegetables. The sauvignon gastrique sauce is To. Die. For! Intricate blend of earthy flavours and I was mopping this sauce up with anything I could find from other dishes.

Service was amazing from a lean tanned man with a beard; who looked familiar and definitely highly experienced. I didn't try any of their famous tiki-bar cocktails, but word has it that they are definitely worthy trying!

This is the perfect bustling place to be on a hot summer day in Auckland by the waterfront!

Met up with a friend and thought that this place would be nice to try since it's new. We didn't book and all the inside tables weren't available, but we were able to get some tables in the semi-outdoor area by the bar facing the harbour. The server was really friendly and helpful. They even let us move tables when there was room inside since it was getting a bit cold.

We were going to order a few things to share but ended up trying the chefs choice menu since they were able to change some of the dishes due to dietary requirements. There were a few things that were a lot better than I thought they would be like the sweet potato bread and the taro leaf wrapped chicken.

The ceviche was nice but didn't have enough acidity. I thought that the white swirls on the plate was tigers milk but ended up being coconut milk. Nice flavours but felt it was a bit off. I found the salmon poke to be too acidic where I thought it would've been cleaner. The pork yakitori stick was nice. The gyoza had good flavour, especially the dipping sauce, but thought the filling was a bit too wet so it almost had a gluggy texture. The taro wrapped chicken was beautifully cooked. personally found the sauce a bit too salty but it was evened out when eaten with the chicken.

The desserts were interesting and not as expected. I found the chocolate custard to be on the bitter side but was nice with the sorbet. The coconut parfait was interesting in both flavour and texture.

Quite a nice place for a meal in Wynyard Quarter. The food is generally quite nice but thought there just some things that needed to be iron out. Considering that they are quite new it is a really great accomplishment.

My partner and I decided to try these guys out as they were connected to Little Jimmy's in Epsom, and we had enjoyed our visits there. Nice spot on the Waterfront, the people were lovely, greeted and helpful service. The decor is in theme and the restaurant well laid out with several different spaces.

We shared 4 small dishes: Ika Mata (Raw Fish coconut) Crispy Chicken Karaage, Smoked Pork Ribs, Crab Sliders, and Shoe string fries. For desert we shared Coconut Parfait, Chilled Pineapple Soup, Rum, and Chocolate Custard, Koko Samoa, Mango Sorbet, and had two glasses of red wine. It was all delicious.

The price were fair and reflected the quality of the food. Definitely go back again and try a few other items (the Pot Sticker Dumplings looked amazing) and try a cocktail or two.

We got to try this newly opened Hawaiian themed restaurant for Sunday lunch. The menu we had was a bit if a shortcut of their regular menu due to some out of stock ingredients. But what we had was nothing short in flavours. The pork ribs and Sapsui were the favourites. I think the servings were a bit of a small for the price but they definitely made up with the tastes.

The whole theme of the restaurant was very well executed, our waitress was well trained and attentive and food was exciting and delicious.

I'd definitely be coming back to try what I've missed out on

Booked here about 2 months ago for NYE 2022. So glad we did; Peter, Jade and the team were awesome. They looked after our family so well, great table, attentive service and we felt so welcome. The food was tasty and the drinks free flowing home-created cocktails. A quick walk along the wharf and we were in the thick of the NYE fireworks! Thanks Peter and Jade for also doing the Zoolander ‘Blue Steel’ look 🤣

Service was great. Really nice spot looking out over the harbour. Ordered the pork belly. Food was enjoyable but for the price you pay in comparison to portion size and ratio between meat and salad was a bit underwhelming. Was more like a pork belly salad.

We ate as a group and shared. The food was outstandingly fresh and tasteful with an island flare. Standout were the tiger prawns, dumplings and chicken salad. Staff were attentive and friendly. Recommend to anyone who enjoys good fresh food.

Very cool decor throughout. Staff were friendly and service was okay. A lot of the cocktails were described by the waitress as “sweet” I had the “only fans” and was sweet but delicious! They made a house mixed drink as requested by us also. The food was hit and miss the $30 pork belly main was a big miss was cured like ham which tasted weird and drowning in sweet sauce. The best part was the crackling garnish used. The dumplings were a winner and a must-try! We got both flavours and were not disappointed with those. The char-grilled prawns were also one of my faves! 🤩

Great vibe, AWESOME coctails and very good food! We had the tempura fish and chips, the rum glased pork belly with pineapple and green chilli salsa and ember roasted tiger prawns. The presentation of all the dishes were immaculate. It would have been great to get a bigger menu with more choices but it is not always possible with staff shortages in the industry. The ember roasted tiger prawns were perfectly cooked and fresh. The fish and chips was a bit disappointing but still good, just tasted a too much batter and too little seasoning. The winner of the day was the perfectly cooked pork belly and the amazing salsa that came with it. I will go back any time for the vibe and the expertly made cocktails. The food was well price and enjoyed it immensely! I highly recommend The good luck coconut for a great night out with friends!

We met some friends here for lunch and had a great table outside with a view of the harbor. The service was prompt and friendly. They had plenty of beers and wines to choose from and the lunch menu had options for the meat eaters and the vegetarians in our group. I had the fish sandwich with shoestring fries, and it was moist and delicious. My friend had their fish and chips, which was larger than most lunch portions that I have seen! My wife had the Good Luck salad with salmon, and she enjoyed it very much. Overall, good ambiance, great food, good service, great location near downtown and on the water, and a really good dining experience. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to our friends!

Great night out at this fine establishment! Booked with first table and what a great idea. Got to the restaurant on time. Maître D was warm and friendly. Atmosphere was lovely. Enjoyed the decor. Great service. Food appeared quickly. Cocktails are amazing. We had Zombies and boy were they so tasty! Also by the time I went to drink mine the alcohol that was on fire was all gone and the lovely waitress gave me so more to add. Highly recommend the fish entree and prawns. Definitely going again and if you add in first table dining here is a must.

Great location. Beautiful view from the outdoor area which faces the harbour. Nice and cozy indoor area. Staff is efficient and very friendly. Menu doesn't have many choices. You can choose between small portions from $15 to $22 or big portions from $20 to $30. Small portions is quite small. Nothing special about flavors.

Lovely food and great service! Our waiter was so lovely and I have to say it was the best service I have received from a restaurant in a long time. The food was great. Went there for the first time and had their August restaurant month special. We got the dumplings, karaage chicken, sliders and dessert to share. The soft shell crab slider was delicious and the chocolate custard for dessert was amazing. Rich but not too sweet.

We've been here 4-6 times. I remember how impressed we were the first time with the cocktails, for some reason it wasn't the same experience this time. Food is yummy as always however pork ribs had very little pork on it, the list dish we enjoyed. Ika mata is the best one always, then chicken karaage, dumplings and prawns. The service is great!

For our latest girls catch up lunch, we tried the menu at The Good Luck Coconut in Wynyard Quarter. The restaurant bar is beautifully presented as a tiki bar with pacific rim inspiration. The flow of the place is impressive from indoor to outdoor focused around the bar. Staff is very warm and inviting and the ambiance is bustling, varied with all sorts of patrons and very relaxed. We immediately ordered some beverages including cocktails Blessed Shores, Missionary’s Downfall, Fantasy Island and a mocktail, Virgin Pineapple & Cardamon Cooler, and the drinks were amazing! It was amusing how quickly and easily drink orders were decided upon and delivered whereas food required more deliberation amongst the incessant yet highly anticipated catch up chatter. To eat we ordered Sweet Potato Bread, Ika Mata, Crispy Chicken Karage, Wild Caught Tiger Prawns, High Tide and Savoury Coconut Rice. My favorite dishes were the raw fish which was beautifully creamy highlighting the delicate flesh with a hint of lime and the sweet potato bread as it was fluffy and unctuous with gorgeous toasted coconut butter! There seemed to be nothing wild about the prawns and name of the dish preceded the appeal and the chicken was average. Following on, we settled on the chocolate custard dessert with coffee and it was simply exquisite in depth of flavour of Koko Samoa with mango sorbet and texture with biscuit crumb. Overall, our lunching experience was wonderful, service was highly attentive with exceptional beverages and very good Pan Asian food. The place lends favourably to catch ups as you could easily sit, eat, drink and talk the afternoon away. The sharing nature of the dishes is good as you can try various items. Highly recommended and worth a try!

Excellent location on the Auckland Harbour. The staff are really friendly and the decor is a lot of fun. Ordered a few of the smaller menu items and they were excellent. Highly recommend the poke if you’re not super hungry, it was delicious. Also, hands down the best mojito I’ve had in NZ (and trust me, I’ve had a lot!)

Great friendly service, food and cocktails were delish and presented well! Nice location looking out over the water and the atmosphere is pretty chilled and relaxed. Favs of the night were the prawns, beans, and the banana loaf dessert. You can clearly see the attention to detail in presentation and flavor which made each dish really interesting. We tried about 5 starters, had 2 larger meals and cocktails. Definitely over ordered for 2 people but we were really pleased with everything. The shitake mushroom dumplings were tasty, and good value for money. I thought that the beef tataki (an addiction of mine) would have been really good had it been sliced a little thinner and the ceviche could have had a little less coconut milk so that the fish shone through even more... but these were just my personal thoughts and both were already so so good as they were. Thanks team!!

Best cocktails and small plates to share is the best highlight of our dinner. Interesting to see that the online menu is different from the menu in the restaurant. Which was a bit of a let down. 🤔
