Home away from home in the heart of the city - the staff are SO lovely, the NZ cider is dry and tasty, the Guinness is good, and they have a pool table! The music is perfect. Great little place to sit down with a beer, cider, or other beverage of choice. They offer a selection of foods which are all pretty good pub fare.
Games like pool are available, and they will occasionally host live music.
If you want a warm welcome, good hearty grub and a nice glass of guiness/wine, then this place is perfect. Will not be for everyone if you need something a bit fancier. Family of 3 and the drinks and food were very reasonable in an expensive city. Good music and pool table too
Lively in the evening. Food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Mixed crowd from old Irish men yelling over a game of pool to young travellers. There was a fantastic musician playing Monday night! An oldie but a goodie. Just your old school pub. Not fancy smancy. Good crowd. Not too busy. Usual range of beers in tap with a few crafts.
A lovely bloke played some of my favorite Irish jigs and Ballard's. Always good live music, friendy staff and tradional pub grub
