I loooove these burgers! They are all soo good! My faves are the Cajun chicken, the lamb and the pork. However our favourite thing from them is their peanut butter and choc thick shakes š
Tried the beef, pork, lamb and chicken burger and they were all really yum! Mum got chicken burger but she changed chicken to fried tofu and she really enjoyed it. We also got curly fries, kumara fries and a few drinks. Kumara fries were popular among us and we finished them even before finishing our burgers:)

yum yum yum! Havenāt been back in awhile and still so delicious. Shared the fried chicken, tortilla chips and the beef burger between 2 and boy were we full! Tortilla chips were extra crunchy and deep fried( might be too greasy for some), fried chicken was nice and crips but not the biggest fan of the seasoning as it was a bit sour for my liking. Beef burger was the best, moist and full of flavour and cheesy goodness. Great comfort food and perfect destress meal. ššš
Burger burger did not disappoint. Absolutely loved my experience here. Came here with a couple of mates tonight (fri night) and it was mad packed. Loved the atmosphere and the ambience great lighting..
Have to say the service here was top notch! Surprising for a burger place tbh. The lovely lady at the counter made sure she got us a good seat indoor as we were originally seateds outside since it was so packed. The food came out on time and was really good.
We menu favourite beef and cheese burgers was amazing and their Kumara fries were splendid. Will definitely come here again
food was delicious and brought to us really quickly too! The fried chicken was juicy and tender, the fries were crispy and the burgers were very flavourful
Okay Damn got lunch from here in the weekend and it was all good. I got the Chicken burger, my mates also got the chicken burger and they weren't a fan of it but I found it tasted pretty damn good sis. The service was good, the vibes were good everything was good good. x
I got the limited time Eatlitfood special burger and kumara fries a few months ago. It was a Korean fusion burger designed by a famous food instagrammer, Eat Lit Food. I really like the structure of the burger and it was lit!
The specials are amazing, the staff are always so lovely and I always know Iām going to get good service
Newmarket burger burger catered a work meeting for us, and they didnāt disappoint. The burgers were delicious, as were the sides.
A great option for a catered meeting!
Used to go here constantly during university. Haven't been for a year so decided to go back and glad I did. The burgers were exactly what I remember them. Super rich and hits the spot. Had the special pie burger of the month and what a combo.
If there is a competition of burger sauce. I reckon Burger Burger will be the champion.šHave tried the fish burger and beef burger, the sauce they use was perfectly matched with the succulent patties.
It was a good lunch break with the girls. We ordered two beef and cheese burgers, one without pickles, a panko-crumbled fish burger, potato skins, curly fries, pineapple mojito and a buzzy lemonade. We were obviously really hungry so we were so full. The potato skins were too oily because of the truffle oil, the curly fries were lit. The burgers were all good too but the fish needed more seasoning. 8/10
Really liked theĀ ambience at New market, Quite busy but good burgers & good service. But my favorite thing in their menu is the peanut butter & chocolate thickshake!!! This is absolutely amazing! if you haven't tried it, it's a must!
We are definitely coming back. I got extra pineapple lumps because the guy gave me a cup instead of a cone he was really nice. And my grandparents really like the burgers too. Louis (10)
Great place for burger lovers! Good spacious indoor and outdoor seating area. Iāve tried their chicken burger which is full of amazing flavours with a side of kumara fries and chicken bites which also taste great! A side can each be shared between two people. Will definitely be back to try more from their menu. :)
Delicious food, and very pleasant and ambient- a favourite restaurant of mine. Although a little expensive, Burger Burger is worth going to (and returning to).
Best burgers EVER! We always come back here for their classic beef & cheese! Also got some fried chicken, very tasty! And also some broccoli which was very delicious!
Iāve visited this place often with my workmates over the last 2 years, just recently theyāve updated their vegetarian menu and oh boy, it is hands down the BEST burger Iāve ever had. Now the vege burgers are as huge as the meat burgers and quite filling. Theyāve updated the menu 1-2 months back I guess, I am absolutely in love.
I used to love this place. My goto meal when I wanted something less healthy but nice. I have 2 issues with the "new menu" they have. First they include cheese with the burger by default so you have to opt out. I aways felt they used to aways up sell the cheese every time l was there. The second thing was they got rid of the potatoe skins which was part of the reason I went there as not many places have them. Probably will not be my goto place anymore, but still enjoy the burgers there and the brocoli.
Everything was great! Great and fast service. I had one beef burger and one chicken burger. I asked to cut it half. :) Also kumara chips. Very good
Came here a long time ago for Eat Lit Foodās collab. Absolute legend. Hopefully they will be bringing it back because it was delish! Burger Burger never disappoints.
Good burger and friendly staff. We had one pork, one lamb, and one kids fish burger. All very yummy. The side grilled broccoli was a surprise, and I love it a lot. They also have kids color thing to keep the little one occupied.
My partner and I come here quite often and see it as one of the best burger places in Auckland. The food and service is always great. We rate this place so highly due to the burgers being as good in their "bunnus" form (lettuce instead of a bun) which is the best option for my partner as she is wheat intolerant. We have found that more often than not the gluten free buns never are as good as the lettuce wrap burgers.
I usually get the Mcfly and it is a great chicken burger. They also do good curly fries, broccoli, kumara fries, and potato skins. I would definitely recommend eating in here as the food quality is never as good when taking out.
The atmosphere is really good and busy at both lunch time and dinner time. It's a great place to catch up with friends after work for a very casual dining experience with really good food.
Overall we have never had a bad experience here when eating in, only when we ordered takeaways did we have a bad one. The food is always good and it's a super easy and chill place to dine at with no fuss and a nice and easy meal to catch up with people.
Good place for gourmet burgers. Had lamb burger the other day, lamb is really tender and service is really good.. will definitely recommend to visit this place
Came here for a work lunch and the food was yummy as usual and service was great:)
I got the chicken burger as a salad and I wasnāt too sure if it would fill me up but it came with heaps of cos lettuce and was really nice as with the sauces. Definitely would get it again!
Had the kiwi burger with extra bacon, chicken bites, and chocolate shake.
Oh man the burger was amazing. It was tasty and satisfying.
The chicken bites could have had better dipping sauce but other than that great flavour.
Chocolate shake was way to sweet hence the 4 stars.
Would come back.
We came across Burger Burger while walking through a small alleyway in Newmarket. The staff were very welcoming. I decided to go with a beef burger and curly fries. The burger was fresh and had some lettuce in it. The curly fries had some nice seasoning on them. The serving size was very generous and I couldn't quite finish it.
We sat outside which was really nice but there is no shading so it was really hot! They also took awhile for them to get our order. The food was really good. Burger is delicious. We had the chicken burger and the beef. Both were good. I also liked the toilet. Clean and looked pretty cool.

Valdayās dinner since we didnāt plan to go anywhere so only grab something quick but end up have to wait for a little queue and take sometimes for them to serve us however the food comes and didnāt disappointed us cos itās really nice.. beef with cheese burger have a classic taste and the lamb one has unique taste which i craving for more - Denny Setiawan
First time visit so it was a lovely surprise! Great food options, great service, great environment! We would definitely go back and enjoy it again!
Bomb place! An easy pick, always a go-to! The food is great and there is such a variety. Lovely ambience, you can take anyone here and have a good time. The service from some staff is sometimes a letdown but itās made up for by other lovely employees!
Update 22/6/19
Got the lamb burger-was super impressed with the tasty handcrafted buns, they were super buttery and indulgent and smelled incredible! The outside melted in your mouth and the soft inside just works so well with the minty yogurt sauce! The lamb itself was neither tender or dry, and it didnāt really wow me. However all the elements did work together nicely, and the mustard was a great addition that added enough tang without overpowering the other flavors. 3.8/5
Also got the broccoli almond side which was an awesome switch from the traditional chips, and I really enjoyed a bit of veg as a side! It was a little charred but the flavor was there and the broccoli the right amount of toughness-not soft like mush but not a pain to chew either! The almonds and broccoli worked really nicely, but for the price and portion considered, I wouldnāt get it as a side for just one person, i think itās much better to split it. 3.8/5
Neat burgers with neat elements, I think I need to try more burger places to increase my experience!
Lovely seating and area, love the set up and grungy vibes. Ordered a burger and milkshake!
Burger-canāt remember what I ordered (apologies) but I remember it being a really scrumptious burger which left me satisfied! The burger bun was impressive, and love myself a decent gourmet burger. 8.5/10
Hokey pokey jazzy shake: really sweet, but a good milkshake, great honey flavors infused. Would have liked a thicker shake. Was expecting hockey pokey icecream on top for some reason so wasnāt expecting the hokey pokey chocolate chunks of crunchie bar chocolate which Iām personally not a huge fan of.
7.5/10
By far my favourite burger joint with a wide range of delicious choices. It can be quite busy but service is always top notch. Photos don't do these burgers justice but believe me they are yummy and filling especially with a side of two, cant go wrong with curly fries and fried chicken.
SUCHšš»ANšš»AMAZINGšš»BURGERšš»JOINT!! I tried their fish tacos and charred broccoli yesterday and theyāre both extremely tasty! The portions of crumbed fish in the tacos were generous and so on point, while their broccoli had such a melt in your mouth flavour that would make any vegetable-hater love them.
Would def be back! šš»šš»
This place has really good milkshakes and thick shakes! I love the bread buns and the curly fries here. The burgers are pretty good but not amazing. Staff are friendly.
Can there be anything better than Burger? At burger burger, there can! They have the best curly fries EVER, and their burgers are super amazing. My son even enjoyed their milkshakes, would go back in a heartbeat! Fantastic service as well... definitely going back here...
I have ordered chicken and pulled pork burgers before. The burgers are tasty, and it's really cute and thoughtful that they have green options - the broccoli dish to dressing some healthiness to the diners.
This is just personal experience: every time after I ate Burger Geek's burger, my stomach would feel really uncomfortable and want to vomit. Perhaps the oil isn't the right one for my body to process? Idk.
All my colleagues and friends look fine after eating it, so it's just me.
Whaaattaaa an amazing place! The food is so freaking Delicious! Burgers were really filling and special menu is so worth every penny. Ambiance is amazing and staff is really friendly too. Loved Balad and would go there again and again. Highly recommended.
Best place for burgers in my opinion. Love this joint, itās always buzzing with people and music and itās great for a night out with groups. Food also is 5/5, the chicken burger is my favourite and their chocolate milkshakes are bomb! Good variety on the menu to cater for different taste buds.
Burger burger changes its menu seasonally which is great for variety. Service is always pretty consistent as well as food. Their potato skins are delicious! Although theyāve started to give less of their truffle aioli :( the setting is really nice and bathrooms are very clean. Good place for an easy but fulfilling dinner!
Bloody tasty burgers tried the cheese burger and chicken burger generous sized bit expensive but good ingredients curly fries where awesome nice a inside bit cold it is the middle of winter though š.
Honestly just an amazing place to eat. The vibe here is jazzy, fun and vibrant so it's a great place to go with friends. Their burgers are amazing but the real hidden gems are the sides and milkshakes. I highly recommend the kumera chips and all of the milkshakes are delicious. The burgers themselves are extremely fulling and juicy, so although the price looks overwhelming for certain items, its definitely worth it. The staff members are also extremely polite and friendly! Just an overall great place to eat. 10/10
The burgers were amazingly delicious. The sides was great too, would give it five stars if the waiter serving us didn't forget our sides. It was backwards having our milkshakes, burgers then fries in that order. Lucky you have amazing chefs and an amazing menu. Would love to go again.
Full of flavours that complement each other very well! Burgers are nice and juicy every time I go and the sides arenāt just sidesā¦ You could make a whole dinner as I have done once, and you would still be satisfied. I love the atmosphere here ā you walk in and you know youāre in a burger joint and you donāt walk out smelling smoky like some.
Food 5/5
Service 4/5
Look & Feel 5/5
Value 5/5
Vibrant, feel good and mouth watering.
Iām a big fan of Burger Burger, have been since day one. What ever Burger (low carb/gluten free available) you decide to chomp down on will be super tasty. Personally I love the classic beef burger with cheese, potato skins, broccoli and chocolate peanut butter shake... damn now Iām hungry! Look out for the specials too. Once I had the best wagyu and mushroom burger and onion rings. I also love the music they play and Iām always trying to steal their Spotify playlist.
A very high profile setting for an unsophisticated meal like a burger. This restaurant raised the standards of what burger places should be like. It has a great setting, cozy seating, a pleasant team and great food. The burger was just right. Nothing was over the top or underwhelming. The curly fries were fun.
Definitely would like to go back again! The service was average but the food was delicious and the whole vibe was šš
Regardless of the quite high price, the food was very good. I ordered a beef with cheese burger and a chocolate shake! Amazing food.
Delicious fish tacos. Probably the best I've ever had. The dessert burger wasn't to my liking though. The burger bun was hard and didn't have much flavour but the ice cream and marshmallows inside were really nice. Charcoal broccoli was also one of my favorites. It wasn't too hard or soft but had the pan fried taste to it.
Just had the most AMAZING fish taco today only $14 and you will be full!!! Service was super friendly and quick. One of the best Tacos I have ever had hands down would highly recommend this if you are not feeling like the typical "Burger Burger" burgers.
Tried the mini mat and it did not disappoint! Quick service, we were seated immediately and as usual the potato skins were delish! So much bigger than the original ponsonby restaurant. One of my favourite burger joints in Auckland!
I just love this place for its burgers, curly fries and shakes. We went on Friday night with workmates as a part of team building activity and everyone enjoyed the place. I could have given 5 star ratings but during our last visit we ordered our drinks and sides, we asked the lovely lady to bring our mains after 20 mins which she agreed to. After 5 mins her senior, presumably manager came out saying āsorry we are running a restaurant and people are waiting here to get the tableā that was shocking and rude to us. Ironically when we went to pay, I overlooked a notepad where manager wrote some instructions to staff saying ā Never Rush Customersāš
Great food and great service.
We enjoyed the experience from the Pork burger, Cheese burger, skins and kumara fries......
Definitely looking forward to our next visit......
Excellent customer service! I ordered the chicken burger, curly fries, onion rings and charred broccolis. They were all better than I expected, from a normal burger place. Burger Burger is not a normal burger restaurant, they exceed expectations in every aspect. I would 10/10 return here and recommend my friends here to Burger Burger.Ā
** Their toilet is fantastic as well, with lovely smelling soap!! **
Always a go to place for me and my friends when we are looking for somewhere to eat yummy food with very cheap prices. I love their lemonade too
Came here on Easter weekend. Great friendly service from the minute I walked in. My friend & I ordered the beef burger with fries and onion rings. The burger was sublime! I could barely make it through my sides as the burger was pretty rich. Definitely looking forward to my return trip to try out the rest of the menu & cocktails too!
I went here with my boyfriend a little while ago because we were impressed with the vegetarian options that did not disappoint. We ordered two sides next to our main meal (I got the original veg and he got fish tacos) and they were very generous and big we really only needed one side between the two of us. The milkshakes were also very rich and creamy and the restaurant had a very cute retro theme to it. I canāt wait to go back and try the tofu tacos and their fresh sodas.
Best burger I have had in a really long time and this was definitely the first of many more visits to come! We visited the New Market branch today around 3pm. The guy who served us was very friendly, polite and warm. Other staff on were also great! Donāt want to jinx this as there usually a tendency for service to drop off over time. Hopefully this wonāt be the case with Burger Burger :) keen to try out the other branches as well. You pay the price for eating organically that you taste in each bite. Deserve 5 stars.

Polite and friendly staff, great location and good burgers. I guess if I could comment on how greasy the burgers are, it will offend some people as they like it that way. But overall good place to have some burgers š
The staff are always so onto it! Definitely my favourite Burger Burger location. Can never go wrong with the lamb burger if your feeling naughty or lamb balad if youāre wanting something a bit healthier. LOVE the potato skins! Perfect every time.
Itās very lively and busy here.
When we came we thought we wouldnāt get a seat but they have an amazing system where they take the amount of people and your number and text you when its free.
The lady that greeted us and lead us to our table was really nice and friendly. And the guy who took orders and served us was also very nice and attentive. 5/5 customer service.
We ordered the Chicken Burger, Smokey Burger and Curly fries. It was ~38 altogether. Iām not really a fan of the chicken burger but the other stuff was good. The buns were kinda burnt instead of toasted tho so we could actually taste the burnt flavour on the buns.
But overall it was really good. 4/5
Thereās also like self serve tomato sauce on the table and itās like Heinz brand or something.
The first time I went here (2016) for lunch with two of my mates I didnāt particularly enjoy it, the food was okay my patty was kind of bland the service was WACK and our food took forever.
I went here last week (2018) and it had changed so much! I also love dining quite late because the ambience really levels up with all the lights, personally the aesthetics are one of the most important things in a dinning experience
My burger was delicious! I got to watch the chef whip it up! The popcorn chicken was crispy and crunchy and the curly fries were exquisite! The burgers were a decent price! My friend ordered a massive kiwi burger lol it was actually the size of my face, too big for me to even take a bite out of.
I will definitely be heading back!
Loved that there were a few vege options. Got āthe new vegeā burger. Was delicious! Little bit too saucy, but as I got the bunnace option I feel like a normal bun would have soaked it up better. Waiter was helpful and accurate with recommendations too. Kumara fries were also delicious and a decent portion size. Would recommend!
Great burger (I got the chicken mcfly) lovely atmosphere, great service. My friend got the lettuce burger, which makes healthy eating even easier
Delicious! We had the pork burger and the kiwi burger, and shared a side of potato skins. Plenty of food! The peanut butter chocolate shake is amazing too.
I could very well be one of the biggest fans of Burger Burger. Would love to get into Ponsonby one once in a while, but Newmarket to the rescue, so much more space, great seating areas, mindblowing bathroom by the way.Ā
Love Burger Burger all these years, I come every a few weeks. Amazing burgers, love the pork and fish burgers so much. And I've tried everything on the old menu and would recommend all of them. Since the new menu with the additions of special burgers, I've tried most of them and what can I say, Burger Burger knows how to elevate the classic combinations. What I love to do the most is to order the special menus that change every fortnight. Sometimes they have quite unorthodox burgers that I don't agree with so I would stay away from those.Ā
What makes them a champ, is their amazing array of side dishes to choose from. Personal favourite is always the potato skins, no one can do those better. But if you feel like a change they always serve kumara chips, curly and shoestring fries that are always mouthwatering. Popcorn chicken and broccoli are absolute delight for your tastebuds, too, really depends what you feel like eating.
And one thing that I almost never miss in my order, Milkshakes. Unless it's quite hot in the summer and I really feel like a soda to go with lunch. Too bad since they raised the price some of them went up to become part of the special $10 ones. Peanut butter and chocolate is mean but usually too heavy because I eat full-full meal.
Last but not least, they are special because the staff are always very cool and professional.
These have to be some of the best burgers in Auckland! The meat is cooked to perfection, the sauces are bursting with flavour and the buns are fresh and soft. A delight for your tastebuds! The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is excellent, especially due to the nice outdoor seating area.
I came here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. The service was great and quite efficient. The food came out really quickly as well. I ordered the beef with cheese burger and I thought the portion was quite generous (couldnāt finish it.) I also ordered the pineapple and mint soda. A little disappointing as the mint flavour was so strong that I couldnāt taste any pineapple flavour. I would not order the drinks again but I would come here just for the burgers.
Very generous servings for the burgers and the fries. Amazing sauces for the fries. The milkshakes are thick and creamy. However- The broccoli was a little disappointing at $12 it tasted under seasoned and there wasnāt much of it.
Amazing place to go ..great food ..great ambiance and good service , had pulled pork and classic chicken burgers and both ver superb. Will keep Going to this place
Went the burger burger for snack and dessert. Highly recommend their ice cream cookie sandwich and chocolate shake! Love the vibe there and great for catching up with friends or just a simple date night.
My absolute favorite burger outlet. THE BEST. Been here many times and never had a bad experience. My favorite is the pulled pork burger with curly fries and the broccoli ššš
Went there on a sat lunch time and it was quite busy. Did wait a while for the burgers to come but that's quite understandable for the amount of people they had there. The fries did come quite soon which was good and my god the sauce they had with it was amazing!!!!
I ordered a gluten free bun and I loved the texture of the bread, it was so chewy, like nothing I've tried before. There was also no extra charge for gluten free which was a win win haha (I'm not even gluten free, was just curious so thought why not since it was the same price as a normal bun)
I highly reccomend the pulled pork shreds burger, there was heaps of meat and the sauce was so yummy!! Their burger portion size are also quite filling.
The staff was really nice there and their toilets were so aesthetic. There was also hand cream for after washing your hands, wow.
Will be going there again to try new burger flavours. Can't wait already
Our first time here and would definitely coming back!
Ohh what a yummy dinner we had. š¤ A quality taste! We will try some more burgers next time.
food taste: 5/5 customer service: 5/5 ambiance: 4/5 : food portion: 3/5
overall its a good place to eat and hang out. awesome burger and drinks!! my only comment is, the portion they serve is a little bit small for the price they charge. other than that its perfect.
The place has a great ambiance and they have unique and creative burger selections! Serving size is just right. The shakes are worth a try! Servers are attentive and friendly too!
Dropped by for dinner to see what the hype was all about, and I could say it lives up to expectations.
We ordered a Beef w/ Cheese burger, and a Dessert Burger.
The Beef w/ Cheese burger was a reasonable size for one person. There were a generous amount of fillings and cheese. The beef patty was firm on the outside, but tender on the inside.
Dessert Burger was a delight as well, with the peanut butter, chocolate bun, and toasted marshmallows making a great combination.
Ambience was nothing unique, but staff and service were great.
Absolutely great burgers! Awesome vibe and eclectic mix of people. The burger patties are made of real meat and there are various options for non- meat lovers too!
A very nice venue that serves upper class burgers. the burgers are of an excellent size that they fit together and can be picked up nicely - unlike many fancy burgers serves in pubs and restaurants. a good range of sides available as well with the best kept secret on the menu being the potato skins.
Good burger, my burger patty was undercooked when I asked for medium patty maybe I had difference of opinion when it comes to the degrees of cooking meat (beef). Over all very nice burger, but you can't beat the triple cheese burger from mac Donald's still the best burger by far.
Ordered fries, chocolae milk shake and classic chicken burger with egg ! All the dishes were delicious especially the burger. The service was great, staffs are welcoming. A nice place to dine š
Burgers were juicy fries was good with aioli sauce on the side great need to increase burger size to accommodate the prices apart from that taste wise great
Came here on a Thursday lunchtime with two of my friends. The aesthetic of place was very cosy and nice! The service was fast and efficient. I ordered a chicken burger, this was well priced and very tasty! My friend ordered a veggie burger and the patty was especially good. We ordered shoe string fries to share, this was of a good size and the aoli that arrived with it was delicious. Will definitely be back and try the desserts!
Even though we arrived at peak dinner time hour, it was the Fastest service we've ever received in Auckland. The food was great! Easily the best onion rings I've had, covered in Aioli and Parmesan cheese šš»
A gem of a burger joint right next door to my favourite bagel shop. Rustic wooded decor, not particularly well-lit indoors due to the fact they've opted to rely heavily on mood-lighting hence I wasn't able to take any decent photos - the neon sign is a nice touch, they've got a nice little courtyard with a decent outdoor seating arrangement too. Service wise the staff were really friendly and they were all on the floor in full force. Our order came out super quick which came as quite a surprise seeing as there were a tonne of people there to grab a bite before the game. We ordered 2 "Old Smokey's" and a side of curly fries.....everything was great! The burgers were served medium-rare just as we ordered and the fries were crisp and delicious served with their homemade aioli. I was quite curious about their drinks menu as well as their desserts, there were a few items listed that caught my eye, I'll have to revisit sometime to give my verdict on those ones though :)
Great gourmet burgers and the best popcorn chicken with a good range of healthy options. Quick service and professional, friendly staff. This is a regular lunch spot and is conveniently located across the road from the office. Ideal for a quick fix or a relaxed Friday long lunch. Good value for money and very pleased with the quality of the food. Will need to try their desserts next!
Great for a Friday lunch (or any lunch)... highly recommend the potato skins!
They also serve some amazing alcoholic shakes and jugs of beer to wash your delicious burgers down!
I recommend you get there early if you have a large group especially on Friday as it's gets packed! Service is efficient and quick... just what you are after for a burger restaurant!
Have been here many times... and will definitely be returning!
The burgers here are delicious, I came here yesterday and had a kids meal because I wasn't feeling too hungry. This meal was enough to fill me up! The curly fries were nice and super crisp! Definitely will be back again for a quick meal. The only problem that I had was that service was a tad slack but that's because they were training a few new waiters :)
We love Burger Burger Newmarket - its a lot bigger and more social than the Ponsonby restaurant. Would highly recommend the chocolate milk shakes, the skinny fries and the chicken burger! Yum!
I like the vibe of this burger joint- the service is usually pretty great, and the burgers always delicious. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu really!
Why have Burger Fuel when you can have Burger Burger? I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress asked for how I'd like my burger to be cooked, when the burger actually came it was exactly how I'd like it cooked rather than a simple well-done.
Their curly fries were amazing and I liked how they constantly change their menu to be more creative.
As always, you can't go wrong with burger burger :D
Still one of the best damn burgers I've ever tried! I really like their lamb burger with the mint yoghurt. Mmmm š
Highly recommend! :D
Was extremely happy with my visit yesterday. Went in with my sister and her boyfriend and were immediately greeted upon walking through the door, with a friendly attitude. Seated where we wanted in less than 2 minutes, orders taken within 7 and food out very shortly after that. As far as the food goes, burger was spectacular and more filling than I expected, I got the Mini Mat and a side of their shoestring fries and was very happy with it. Will definitely be back again to have it again. You're certainly doing it right over there Burger Burger, wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend you guys to anyone.
Can't go wrong with burger burger. Burgers are delicious and fresh and the chips are even better. The service is pretty good too! This is when I wasn't that hungry and I got a kids meal!
Great burgers and and love the curly fries. The place can get quite busy, so make sure you book a table in advance. The Moroccan Lamb and the Beef with Cheese are my favourites here.
Heard about this place all over social media. The place is situated at a cool location in Newmarket. Service was friendly and efficient. Really love the healthier options too.

We haven't been for a while and realised tonight they have to suggest you have a medium to well done burger because of food safety rules. You should ask for rare to medium which is how they use to automatically make them. Much better!
Excellent little spot.
Highlight for me was the salted caramel shake coupled with old smokey burger with onion rings on the side.
Well worth the trip.
Reminds me of a good clean home made burger meal. Nice clean place and you can have your patties cooked to your liking (meduim rear etc). Definitely sets a new good bar for burger joints
My colleague recommended this place. There was 20 mins wait for takeaway but it was worth it. Food was absolutely amazing and the prices are so good.
Tucked away in one of the side streets in Newmarket is Burger Burger. They have outdoor seating area which is lovely. Staff are friendly and service was quick.
They have lots of beverages to choose from including shakes and house made sodas.
Curly fries came in a nice big plate.
Top picks:
Lamb burger. Really nicely seasoned and full of flavour. The meat was tender and juicy.
Chocolate peanut butter milkshake.
Use to lose this place, but the service has declined slightly. Wasn't as friendly the last time I arrived. They hire hipsters but some are a bit snobbish. Burgers are still good, don't get the lettuce wrap, it goes all over the place.

Came in here the day after New Years for dinner, since most places were closed that day. It was packed inside, but luckily there was a table for six. Since I always have beef and chicken burgers, I opted for the Fish Burger. The fish burger wasn't that great nor that bad. It could have been more flavoursome. More sauce or seasoning could have been added. Service was good though.
First time trying the burgers, so delicious.Enjoy the time spending here and possibly just me felt the light is a little bit too dark though.
Highly recommend - strawberry smash milk shake!
Today, me and my folks entered the vibrant Burger Burger restaurant. After finding out that the chicken was halal, we ordered. We got the Chicken burger, Fish burger and Fish taco taco. They were all a delight to eat. The favours complimented the main protein, the lemon in the fish dishes created a more mature flavour. Although the fish did smell a bit at the start but went away after time. We ordered fries, which were lightly salted. The aioli had good flavour but was too oily. For dessert we grabbed a cookie sandwich with chewy gooey chocolate cookies and vanilla bean ice cream as the centre. It was fresh sweet but bitter, it was well balanced.
I found at times it was hard to get a hold of the staff. Furthermore the staff were friendly and full of energy and life.
The restaurant was rustic but exquisite as well, a great place to hang out and chill with your mates.
Need a quick bite? Head to @burgerburgernz in #newmarket for a lazy snack or an early dinner.
It can be a little heavy on your pocket but it's an indulgence - the food and rustic ambience - you won't regret.
What we ate -
Classic pork burger: $14
Classic chicken burger: $13 š
Kumara fries: $8 š
Burger burger is just amazing. There fried chicken side dish i also crave. But i also take the chicken burger and add beetroots. Omg i love it. It's a great place to dine, people are always friendly. Always come back with friends for the broccoli cover in garlic and almonds. :)
Great menu! The burgers and desserts were to die for. However the attitude of the manager when asked about seating was very poor. The other staff were all extremely friendly and helpful however.
There's a calm atmosphere provided both indoor and outdoor dining area. I was lucky to came in when they just introduced the new menu. The services are great and the food is full of new experiences and amazingness~ I would recommend this place to anyone at anytime~
BB's burgers are really tasty with great flavours and combinations. However, to me the meat is a little bit too much on the soft side. The meat is cooked really well that it almost melts into your mouth, with the delicious sauce that generally accompanies it. But I'm more of a pattie girl when it comes to burgers, so I will pass on the burgers from here.
I love their fried chicken though - it's always cooked well - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
A must try is their peanut butter thick shake. If there's one thing you must take away from this place, it is definitely their peanut butter thick shake.
Bruno always delivers well. Highly rate my dining experiences with his impeccable service and banter. Will definitely be back for more potato skins and choc peanut butter thickshakes š
Definitely bringing my partner here. Tried the Special El Loco Gama and loved it so much! The Chilli and Lemonade is beautiful. Guaca-Moley is epic! Worth! GG
Great food and fantastic staff! Always packed and quick service! I would recommend the Potato Skins as they are AMAZING! Their burgers of the week are always really good and it's nice being able to try something new each time I go in :)
One of my favorite burger in town!
Food: I ordered the lamb burger, the meat is so tender and match perfectly.
Place: I like how they decorate the place, it shows the dynamic of American style. The staffs are friendly too.
As a vegetarian couple its bloody hard to find a good burger.
Burger Burger never disappoints! The falafel is always crisp and juicy, the brioche bun melts in your mouth and the sides - where do I start? From the best fries in town to deliciously charcoaled broccoli and then of course the milk shakes!
The only problem is we always over eat here.
Best burgers in NZ by far.
I love the interior of this burger resto. Ā It's modern and a good place to bring along your teenagers. Ā The burgers were delicious, the milkshake was nice and the fries Ā was good Ā too. Ā You have limited selection of food to choose from so don't expect too much.
I had lunch here on Saturday
Friendly helpful staff
Great atmosphere inside
Quite busy but not over the top
I had the Pulled Pork Burger
With Slaw
Quite delightful
Right up there with the best burgers in Auckland for sure
Will be back!
Vibrant lay-out, swanky decor, and fun staff makes Burger Burger a lively and entertaining place.
Came here with some work colleagues and we had a beef burger, a couple of chicken burgers, diet brown fries and some peanut butter choc milkshakes.
Burgers were wholesome, juicy and tender. Fantastic really, some of the best I've had in Auckland. The fries were crisp and the drinks were creamy and full of flavour.
One downside is that I feel like they really overpriced the sides: 8 bucks for fries ? That's a little OTT. Other than that, it's a choice burger joint.
Showstopper: Burgers. Lamb Burger you're next!
Overall Grade: B+
Love this place! Faves are Beef burger with cheese and bacon, the broccoli and Kumara chips washed down with a Quart of Lion Red. I've been to both Ponsonby and New Market locations now to try the new Takapuna location :)
Came here for the first time last week and ordered the Swiss Chick burger which was really tasty and had a great amount of fillings in it.Ā Also ordered some shoestring fries which were so fresh, I couldn't stop eating them! Service was fast and friendly too! Only downfall for me here is price as I would like to come a lot more often but can't really justify spending that much on a dinner for 2 of burgers.
Staff are a welcoming fun spunky bunch. Definitely want to come back just to meet them.
I regret that I did not try the Cajun Persuasion first. The fish is cooked in proper Cajun style, having been to Louisiana several times, I can confirm this.
The Lamb was cooked just right...you can peal strands of Lamb form the patty....it is that good!
The cucumber Mint Soda was just as refreshing as the hostess stated it was. She advised me that they don't have the regular sodas. This is defiantly a sign of re-invention of everything about burgers....AND I LOVE IT!
The only reason they didn't make the full 5.0....if I could I would put 4.85....it is o lu because they had regular ketchup......they have Tomato Jam on their menu as an ingredient.
They are correct...Tomato are fruits and their Jam would be correct by definition and grammar. Why not offer this as a condiment instead of ketchup...?
Guys I did it, I made it to the fabled Burger Burger. Although not the oj Ponsoby venue, I'm sure Newmarket BB is just as good.
So my two gal pals and I bet the worst of the rush as we got there a bit earlier and were charmed by the exterior and interior, loving the outdoor seating sheltered by vines and the kooky, kick back indoors.
The weather was yuck so we were seated indoors, just tucked around the corner which turned out to be quite nice as it wasn't as hectic but we were still superbly attended. Now I must make a big mention for service! Our lad, Tom went above and beyond, he gave us a great run down of the menu with recommendations and jokes making us feel really welcome and at ease. He also checked on us throughout to make sure we were happy. We ended up tipping him he was so darn good.
And of course the food, I immediately went for the potato skins to share which were superb, I see the hype. However I think a bit less truffle oil would've been good as while they were delish, there was too much oil. We also shared the shoestring fries (nice!). Burgers ordered were chicken (fellow diners) and lamb (myself). My friends loved their burgers, so many good things being said. Mine was pretty good as well but I would've like the lamb to of had some more flavour and the fillings to of been better distributed, i was searching for the feta for the first half of my burger! Still that burger was epic, and beats any other fast food/ dine out burger I've had.
Would love to come back and try either the chicken or vege in a "bunnace," sounds nice and almost a bit healthy!
Definitely rate the service very highly here! Quirky and friendly staff members who make your visit really enjoyable.Ā
Love the decor and the spaces available (bigger than Ponsonby's one).Ā
The best part of their burgers are the buns. Crispy buttery but light and fluffy. I had the fish burger this time, and it was perfectly cook. Fresh fish and delicious caper sauce. And of course who can go without the potato skins with truffle aioli :). Food standard is awesome.
Although, my friend ordered the vege burger and thought that there was a little too much beetroot in it.Ā
Milkshakes, people rave about it, but I thought mine was wayyyyy too watery. I probably need the thick shake but knowing there is 3 scoops of ice cream in it freaked me out. Next time :)
For some reason I'm always underwhelmed by Burger Burger. Been here a few times but never really been wowed by the food.
The design of the place is very nice and the service was good, staff was very attentive and friendly. The food is presented very nicely and all very instagram worthy.
The fried chicken was too overcooked for me, some batter bits were a bit too brown and overall it was rather painful to eat as it was quite hard to chew into.
The beef burger was nice, the bun was abit burnt also but overall still yummy.
The bunnace was nice until it started dripping everywhere. I must not have the skill to eat one gracefully!
I think for the price that comes with the food, I just have high expectations everytime I visit but these expectations are not fully met each time.
Came here to try the chicken burger for 12$ on a expected quiet Tuesday nite as other nites Ā packed but still reasonably buzy then. The burger, came out quick smart n just rite height to get the ole jaw to chomp without having to push et down,Ā but was nice to eat.Ā
Kumara frys not bad too, though expensive due to short supplyĀ at time.
Expect to see more of these gourmet burger joints opening soon..
We stopped in for lunch today and despite arriving right on opening there were already other diners going in. We sat down to order, the waiter recommended the homemade lemonade which is very refreshing and we ordered beef burgers and fries each. He told us the meat would be cooked medium rare by default, which it was, my better half prefers medium and should have asked for it in hindsight as she couldn't bring herself to eat the middle part if the pattie (I of course obliged ;)). The burgers came out fast and were a good size, the buns nicely toasted yet soft. The meat was well seasoned and well cooked, the pickles and sauce were just right. I enjoyed the fries which were crispy. The table next door had potato skins which looked really good. This was as good and probably better than any burger experience I've had in Auckland. I was sorely tempted to give it a 5, if I could I'd easily give it a 4.75 for this better class of burger joint
Nice burgers like always and the truffle potato skins are just amazing. Nothing beats a good night out like burgers and shakes.
We had to get a reservation since we had about 10 people. They don't take bookings but instead you put your name on the list and they call you when here's an available table. Service was good but they did have a few wrong orders.
Had lunch here a few Sundays back theres been a lot of buzz and hype about this burger joint...and today we can see why...flash setup, plenty of staff...with service to match,we where here on the back of a busy lunch service today and a good sign of a good business is the standard and service of food no matter what time of day you participate, our food today was of a good standard for a burger outlet thou the fries abit over salted but I don't mind it that way.....this outlet will be around for sometime yet......
Burger Burger is one of those places that does the simple things perfectly. You could possibly cook a similar burger at home, perhaps cheaper, but let's face it, why would you bother when an expert can do it for you. And make it purely delicious with quality ingredients.
I have been to both the Ponsonby & Newmarket locations many times & I must say that both the food & service is consistently good. Great for lunch or dinner.
On this visit the location was Newmarket, mainly due to the delicious dessert options. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, but who doesn't love an ice cream sandwich??
We ordered a variety of burgers & sides. I normally order the beef burger, but decided to try the lamb & it was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked & with the mint yoghurt was well balanced. I added Beetroot as all good burgers have this! A friend decided to try a bunce, and although a bit messy, was a nice alternative for when you don't feel like having bread. She said the beef was perfectly cooked tonight - I always find that too, cooked but with the patty still juicy. Another friend chose the chicken. She always has this but says its so good, why try anything else.
For sides we had the broccoli - I'm a broccoli lover, but I reckon you'll love it particularly with the garlic & almonds. Also the potato skins (delish!) and the fried chicken - it's not the best I've tried in Auckland, but is pretty good & worth ordering.
For dessert we had to try the ice cream sandwich of course even though we were really full. You firstly choose your biscuits (you can choose 2 different ones made by Little & Friday) and then your ice cream (Kohu Rd). Such a simple dessert with great ingredients, pure delish! We each chose a different combination but were all happy.
You really can't go wrong with Burger Burger - engaging staff, quality ingredients, a simple menu cooked to perfection. Arrive early to avoid a wait, although if you have time to wait it's worth it.
Came here for dinner this week. I had the chicken burger, my friend had the beef burger and we shared potato skins and green beans. The burger was perfect, right amount of bun to meat ratio and the sauces accompanying it were very tasty. The potato skins were very yummy and perfectly cooked. The beans were fresh and juicy with the roasted garlic perfectly complimenting them. We of course had to have dessert, so we both had a one scoop make your own sundae. I had the lemon curd ice cream which I could not have loved more. My friend had salted caramel with banana foam which was also very good.
Went to Burger Burger last night for dinner with the bae, and found they had really great service! It was my first time there - and I had heard it was generally quite busy.. They took our name and number and said they'd text us when a seat became available. This only took 10 minutes which was great! I ordered "The Big Mat" a big burger that was like their version of The Big Mac, had yummy sauce and was meaty as! My partner had a chicken burger, said she enjoyed it. We also shared a bowl of Kumara fries. At first I thought it wasn't gonna be enough to fill me but then left feeling very full indeed. Great service by the staff, would definitely recommend Burger Burger!
Monday night quick dinner and catch up.
Service really good. Water on the table straight up. Rustic decor well suited to a burger joint. Food came out quick. I had the pulled pork and friend had slow roasted lamb. Flavors in both excellent. Good to see quality of ingredients. Will be back .
Burger Burger is SERIOUSLY good. I've been here twice and was not let down. Really juicy burgers and amazing quality food. They tend to serve medium rare beef patties so unless that's a problem I'd definitely go here
Excellent food as usual. Got a bit dark where we were sitting but very no issues with food quality. Parking a bit of an issue but thats the sign of the times rather than the location of the restaurant!

Aesthetic. The aesthetics of this place is great and it gives out a nice hangout vibe. The staff were really friendly and offered suggestions for what i should get.
I got the pork burger with a side of truffle potato skin. The potato skin was awesome with just a subtle hint of truffle and the burger was so juicy. The buns were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also used a huge amount of pulled pork. This is definitely the best burger in Auckland.

If youāre in the mood for a burger, you cannot go wrong with Burger Burger. This place does a mean beef burger with snappy service and delicious add-ons. The spacious Newmarket location has courtyard seating, an ice-cream parlour (Little Paddock, Kohu Road) and an impressive drinks menu for a burger joint.
The beef burger is supposedly cooked medium rare though I would call it medium. The patty is succulent and flavoursome, and goes well with the mayo and pickles. BL had the lamb burger made with 12-hour braised and rolled lamb shoulder. We found the feta overpowering the taste of the meat, though still a decent burger. The buns have a good texture, not too soft, and a good crust.
The potato skins with truffle aioli is stupidly good; hot, crunchy outside and creamy inside. The charred broccoli was nice, but came swimming in oil.
I recommend the ginger/juniper/lime homemade soda. Very refreshing and with a good ginger hit. The feijoa soda was less successful with a very weak feijoa flavour.Ā
The service is very efficient, and food arrives quickly. Fun atmosphere, and good food. What more can you ask for?
Work trip to Auckland? Yes, I think I need to hunt down some of the best burgers available. Burger Burger is regularly mentioned online as one of the finest in Auckland. My first night here, I decided to visit the Newmarket venue. All I can say is wow! The venue is on point. Loved the way they decorated the place. Tells the story perfectly: āWE SELL GOOD BURGERS HERE!ā Consequently, my last day here I went to their Ponsonby store to sample more of their wares. Unfortunately, that venue and food was not as good. Nowhere near as good.
Went there tonight with the family. Great place and great food. Music was good too. I ordered the lamb burger, it was amazing. The ice cream afterwards were yum. Our 8 year old really enjoyed it, she nearly licked the ice cream bowl. The service team were very attentive. Great place to go.
Love atmosphere great service and fun for night out eating yummy burgers. I had the chicken burger which was juicy. Made with a chicken thigh instead of the usual dry breast meat.
Came here with high expectations and I was not disappointed. That truffle potato skins are out of this world! Definitely in love with it.
I also got the pulled pork burger which to me was pretty good but not worth the price. The pork was a bit on the dry side. My mates got the fish burger, kumara chips, chocolate shake and the broccoli side dish which they seemed to enjoy.
Service was great too. Food came pretty quickly which was a bonus. Still can't get over how yum those potato skins were.
Definitely coming back for them and maybe the fried chicken :)
Burger Burger gets things so right. The burgers are delicious and really well priced. The broccoli and the potato skins with truffle aioli are must tries, as is the house-made honey cola. I usually can't go past the pork burger because it's consistently so damn good. Love the space at Newmarket, compared to the Ponsonby one which is always crammed.

My friend and I grabbed a an early dinner at Burger Burger Newmarket before an event. We were in a bit of a hurry and were pleased that we had dinner done and dusted in time. We ordered a fish burger, a beef burger with cheese and had potato skins to share. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Burgers are a good size, not massive but youāll want to try some sides anyway. Nice wines if you like a wine with your burger. Simple menu. No fuss, just good food. Nice presentation, cool vibe. I can see what the fuss is about.
So yummy!! Wow the chicken burger was super flavoursome and fresh!! The bun is great light and tasty! And the charred broccoli was full of garlicky goodness!
Delicious juicy burgers here. The chips were not too oily and the drinks were amazing during our heatwave. Will definitely be coming again for more keep it up guys!
First experience at Burger Burger was great, second and third times were not. The potato skins were crunchy and truffle-y the first time but my most recent visit gave me potato skins cut so thickly, they were more like wedges so they were not cruncy at all, and had no truffle flavour. My fish bunnace lacked any sauce at all, and I had to use ketchup as the condiment as it was very very dry to eat. Not really worth the price anymore as other burger places seem to be upping their game while this one seems to be dropping.
I had heard sooo much about Burger Burger and I was so excited to try it out. I got the beef burger, which didn't live up to my expectations to be honest. The meat was nice but I would've liked some fresh veges with it. The potato skins were ok. I really like their outdoor seating though, very chilled and relaxed.
Compared to ponsonby which is the original chain store, this one is very spacious with their own ice cream bar! With their specials changing every so often it makes it more exciting to visit each time.
Love it how they provide healthy alternatives such as buttenence (?!). It'd absolutely still delicious.
Their kumara fries and potato skins are also amazing
Can't go wrong with this place
Staff is also onto it and friendly :)
Burger Burger is and always will be my favourite place for a burger. Their "Market Fish" burger to die for and the fish is always so fresh and perfectly crumbed. Their "Beef" burger is so simple but so classic, they really nail all of their burgers without it being a greasy mess. Don't be quick to judge by the smaller size though, the buns are Brioche and the quality of the filling is amazing - so worth it. Their sides are fabulous too, I would recommend the "Burnt Brocolli" - it comes perfectly charred with almonds. Their potato skins are so crispy and the aioli they give you is so so good. Kumara chips also. The home made soda's are refreshing and not full of sugar. I love going here!
We've been here three times since we found this place about a month ago. Every time we left stuffed and extremely content. Ā
We've tried the chicken, pulled pork, fish and beef burgers. Ā Our favourite is the beef with cheddar cheese added. Ā The only thing we found odd was that you have to add things like cheese and lettuce to the burgers - staples at most places.Ā
In addition to the near perfect burgers, the fries and drinks go well - especially their chocolate peanut butter thick shake which we highly recommend.
For $15-20 you can't really find a better dinner or lunch. Ā We'll certainly be heading back here soon.
Great fun food and I love the atmosphere. The meat is all sustainable and free range and there are gluten free options. Love the decor and the staff are funky. I enjoy going there. The fries are awesome and so is the ice cream!! š
I have been there several times now. The burger was good but I am getting a bit bored now with the small selection on the menu. You can only have the same burger for so many times. A better selection of side dishes would be nice too. The service is OK, but from time to time it was patchy. Once, I got my burger mistakenly given to another table who arrived after us. I had to eat for another 10 mins watching my partner eating his burger. A simple apology would have been useful but there wasn't one unfortunately.
Place has a really awesome atmosphere and is great place for a catch up or lunch date with your friends. Really good burgers - Just a bit over priced. Pretty much daylight robbery! I got the chicken burger with an extra patty which cost me about $18, 4 dumplings for $12? Charred broccoli for $12? Organic/Free range or not i find that's a bit ridiculous as it pretty much cost the same as a burger. I can't be the only one who thinks this. Lol
I've been to Burger Burger a few times now, I think some of the staff are really friendly and definitely effect the experience. I think the food is just average, but it's presented really nicely and the produce they use is a return factor to me as that's something I find important. I also think that the environment is another thing that creates Burger Burger hype~
Seriously amazing. We go here once a week to try their specials. I enjoy the beef or the chicken burger and always get kumara fries. My favourite special so far has been the tandoori burger. Also their ice cream is delicious. For drinks if you are wanting non alcoholic I always go for the chocolate milkshake. For alcohol I will get either the hard lemonade or whatever their special is.
Finally got to try this famous burger in Newmarket. That golden brown-ish bun was really good! It is soft yet crunchy š I had the well-done beef patty with potato skin which was amazing! It is similar to potato wedges but this is thinner and crunchier š the pulled pork was really good as well, the tenderness was just perfect! They should have put more veges and less mayo (not a fan of mayo) š
The restaurant was much spacious compared to the Ponsonby branch. Parking was easy for weekday evening in Newmarket. It was located opposite Lone Star and next to Ugly Bagel.
First time in Burger Burger Newmarket. We tried the special of the day - smokey burger with smoked beef brisket patty, deep fried onion and bacons, the burger taste good but the meat was not juicy. This special of the day cost $18 which was quite costly.
We r always come here for the burgers. The service was friendly and food was really nice . I like the broccoli ,it was really yummy .We love it so much
I can definitely see why this place is popular and known as one of the best burger joints in town!
I had come here recently with my boyfriend for a nice lunch and I was lucky to have come at a time where there was seating readily available. Even though it was a Friday!
As we stepped in the service was wonderful! The waitress was here for your every need and never too busy to be able to serve you or answer questions.
I had got the beef burger and my boyfriend got the chicken burger.
They both tasted sooooooooo good! Yet my favorite was the beef.
Regarding the price of $12 I definitely think it lived up to the pricing as the beef and chicken was so succulent and the chefs seemed like they knew what they were doing.
I recommend this place highly! And will be stopping by here whenever im in newmarket :)
1st time here after hearing so much about this place. My expectations were high for here. However it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. Got the veg burger. 100% worth all the money! But the patties was slightly bland. The service was really great. Friendly staff for such a busy place. Was impressed. Would come back again to cure my hangover or for a general feed šš»
Great dining experience today Sunday for lunch at Burger Burger.
I was shopping around Newmarket and decided to visit the "new" burger place in the neighbourhood.
The vibe is very good and the place is very well furnished and decorated and it feels ideal to visit it with friends or family.
I had a cajun chicken burger and it was really tasty, I must admit I didn't love the red capsicum salsa, but everything else was great. Chips were perfectly cooked and the aioli matched very well the flavour.
I ordered a 500ml beer and it came on a cute little jar/jug and 2 little glasses so that I could share with my partner and that came very handy.
Staff were nice and attentive and the atmosphere was cool, I'll be back.
Absolutely love this place had the chicken burger and broccoli on my first visit and then the pork burger with kumara fries the very next day. Going to slowly work my way through the burgers but definitely the best chicken burger and kumara fries I've ever had. Will definitely make this a regular place to visit.

Simple and delish. No fancy frills here. They have a burger in every basic non veg group: fish, lamb, chicken, beef and pork. I tried the pulled pork burger and the beef burger. It was the right amount of juicy. Loved the tangy pulled pork. You can opt for the healthier bunnuce option (but whats the fun in that?).Ā
The place has got a nice retro vibe to it. It gets really crowded on weekends so be ready to order, eat and leave in 20mins or under!
Awesome - much better than the Ponsonby branch simply due to more space! Tucked away on a quiet back street in Newmarket, sunny courtyard, friendly staff. We both had the veggie burger with extra pickles, skinny fries and broccoli. Awesome food as always, no complaints. Also had the ginger soda (not gingery enough for me!) and the choc, peanut butter milkshake.. To die for!
Dined at the Newmarket branch (rather than Ponsonby). We had one beef and one lamb burger. Love the idea of having bunnunce for a "healthier" option. The meat patties are tender and juicy. Overall great burger. Though the only downside is it's quite a busy place, hence the waitress was super keen to clean our table up as soon as she saw us finished eating there and made me feel like they were wanting us to leave ASAP.
We came here for dinner and got seated straight away. We went to the ponsonby one a year ago and it was amazing. The vibe at Newmarket is nice and i like the menu variety we ordered lamb burger, chicken burger , fried chicken and kids meal (chicken burger). The fried chicken was too salty. The burgers were ok. Not bad. The kumara chips were too salty too.
The peanut butter shake is amazing ! Overall its ok. I prefer big js burgers though. Was slightly disappointed as it used to be amazing frm memory
Nice burgers guys. I had the chicken. Nice juicy meat and the homemade lemonade went down well too
Pretty cool place and well organised with waiting lists that text you when the table is ready. Good service from lots of friendly people.
Best burger's ever. Simple yet effective. Love how you are not left feeling heavy and guilty - being someone who eats particularly healthy. On that note the variety - healthy side dishes, different flavour burgers. Can't fault them. Would highly recommend!
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Milkshake. Just for that I say go! The burgers were delicious. Tender, delicious beef. A decent Burger! The asparagus side was just a little awkward to eat due to the way it was plated. It tasted good though. Service was friendly and energetic, and genuine. The chefs looked very busy and all over it! The atmos of this place is great. it's good vibes all round. I would definitely go again! Also it's coveniently located next to the best bar in Auckland, The Lucha Lounge. Perfect!
Wow! The bunnace burger I had was so delicious it didn't matter how messy it was. The highlight for me was definitely the gluten free spicy chicken bits. They were amazing!!!
Every time I come here, I'm blown away by how good the burgers are. The first time, I had a fish burger on a bunnuce and a side of potato skins which were amazing. The second time I had a vege burger and a side of charred broccoli, garlic butter and almonds, after some recommendations from staff. So good!!!
Ermagawd, best burgers out. For under $15 you can have a bun burger or a 'bunnece' (that's a burger in lettuce instead of a bun) stuffed full of delicious filling. Between us we ordered all the burgers, with kumera fries and a strawberry smash spritZer. All the burgers were awesome, nice fresh buns, thick pieces of meat and fresh ingredients although it was noted that having to pay extra for cheese seemed a bit odd when it came to a burger. Also the vegetarian burger, despite being one of the better vege burgers on this planet, was very salty, and possibly was the only burger that should have come without cheese because the salty feta didn't make the situation better. However aside from that I am nit picking. The kumera fries were addictive and the drink, well whoever thought to combine mint, sav and crushed strawberry is a genius in my book. My only regret was that I didn't get an icecream fro dessert but I was so stuffed I couldn't fit it in!
The atmosphere of the place is excellent, we sat outside surrounded by plants and cool laid back music (think James blunt and John Mayer) being served by bubbly enthusiastic staff. The food came quickly and all together which actually seems uncommon these days! All and all an excellent place, just watch the salt!
Burger Burger serves great burgers but truthfully, I come here for their Potato skins with Truffle Aioli, often paired with a coconut milkshake/thickshake. Simply a divine combination.
Just what you'd want from the second burger burger.
Beautiful consistency in the food and welcoming environment.
The teriyaki tofu burger was amazing. Their sauce had a hunt of ginger.
Unfortunately the asparagus was not cooked to my preference but it was good tho.
I've fallen in deep love with their chicken bunnace! Best item on their menu ever
Great spot here in Newmarket. Prefer layout over Ponsonby branch but admire the consistency of foods. So yum. Have a wide selection of shelf spirits too.
Best burger joint in Auckland! Love how they switch up their menu and offer special dishes weekly. The chicken burger is by far the best on the menu with the chicken being well cooked and tender paired up with a great salsa. The staff are attentive and friendly. Great for weekend lunches with friends.
When your flatmate eats the same thing from the same place at least once a week, you know you have to try it too. Especially when she says it's a burger but it looks more like a lettuce wrap, especially when it's one of the handful of times you actually see her eat.ĆĀ . When I first came back to Auckland, I kept getting confused by Better Burger and Burger Burger, but having tried both places, this no longer happens. Burger Burger has a lot more burgers on offer. It's more of a restaurant than a burger bar, more kids friendly and more health conscious.Ć
Went here with my partner last Saturday and this place is awesome! The staff are really friendly and yep, they have the best burgers in Auckland!! Will definitely go back here. šš
There was a lot of people when we came in, and there was a 20 min wait for a table so we ended up getting our food for take away. The staff was a bit in a rush but their customer service was good. Their food is really good, I made two first timers to try their food and they said that their food is pretty good. I like the ambience of the whole place, it's quite different at night.
Great burgers, average service and phenomenal fries. Mmmm fries.
I have had a few of the different burgers, including the special pulled pork and the fish burger. Both of them were great and I would eat them again in a heartbeat.
Service is pretty variable.. Usually the maƮtre d' is great but the runners, waiters and waitresses are average.
Please get the pork burger, had this 3/4 times that I've eaten here. It's so juicy and fresh, the beef burger is also good if you're looking for a classic
This place is everything a family restaurant should be... I arrived today with my family (2 young kids in tow) and was met with a delightful young irish lady, I requested a seat that was not near the door as I said my youngest child was an escapee who liked to be on the move, this young lady lady gave us a table away from the door and even offered a booster recognizing that might give us half an hours peace of keeping little miss entertained with crayons etc....
We ordered the beef burger and lamb burger as her recommendations and i have to say it was the best I have ever had, kids meals were better than we expected.
The service was beyond perfect, it was nice for staff to recognize how hard it can be to dine with children in tow, and not only that Ā she engaged with the my kids and took them to the ice cream bar and just generally took took time out from which was a busy time for her... that extra consideration really give me and my husband those few minutes of down time.. good on you burger burger we will be back!!!
Great burger! The place was clean and the service was also good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and well decorated wall. Although the place was a bit hard to find it was worthy and the price there was reasonable. I had the beef burger and shared the kumura chips with my cousin we were really full afterwards.
We finally made it here after constantly ogling at photos on the instagram, the food was quick, the staff were friendly and the place was hilariously decorated. Although I felt as if we were rushed along being told by one of the waitstaff that he would charge us at the till only seconds after having my last bite despite it not being busy on a weekday afternoon. The food was good, my boyfriend loved his beef burger with streaky bacon added and the potato skins. I got the chicken burger which had amazing flavors I was just a big disappointed with the chicken being a bit over cooked and chewy causing the burger to be almost decembled with every bite.

Great burgers , great food, good everything! These fellas have really hit the nail on the head and has to be toe to toe with the best burgers I have ever had !
The burgers were soooo good! I got the lamb burger. Everything just tasted so fresh. We got kumara fries as well and that was great. It's quite decently priced. Would definitely go back again.
Brilliant food. Great choice. Love the broccoli and the peanut and chocolate thick shake. Definitely going again. Only thing is, it is a bit pricy.
They do pretty good burgers but the side dishes are a bit disappointing and lacking flavour.
One problem I has was that there were a few bugs crawling around our table which was very unpleasant, and maybe they could hire some extra staff, especially on the busy nights.

I absolutely love burger burger! It's also nice how this branch serves ice cream too! This branch is also bigger than the other one in Ponsonby, I still recommend that you make a booking if you come during the weekends because you might have to wait for half an hour for a table. They bring your food in real quick! I personally like the Chicken burger the most and their potato skins. I absolutely love their aioli! Definitely recommend!
Burgers are creatively made with different fillings. I had the pull pork myself the taste was amazing just that the sauce was too much and made my bun all soggy. The deco around here is great with neon signs. š their homemade soda was good too! And them kumara chips is a MUST!
Exquisitas y novedosas hamburguesas.
Burger Heaven in Newmarket
My friends and I have been meaning to try Burger Burger for quite some time and we finally got the chance to a few days ago. We arrived at around 6pm and it was fairly full. We were seated near the bar on high stool tables. There wasn't anywhere to put our coats so we had to put them on our laps or on the floor. I decided on the pork burger with some kumara chips and the famous peanut butter & chocolate thick shake. My friends got the fish burger, chicken burger and the charred broccoli. The ambience was really lively and the waiter we had was really friendly. We waited around 10-15 mins for all our food to arrive. The pork burger was nice but in my opinion, I didn't find anything special about it. The pork was slightly tough and the mint slaw was really strong. I really enjoyed the thick shake and the kumara chips though! The charred broccoli was really charred which my friends didn't really like but I quite liked it. By the time we finished our meal, there was a huge line out the door.Ā
Pictures:
- Ice cream area
- Peanut butter & chocolate thick shake ($9) = a must try!
- Kumara chips with aioli sauce ($7)
- Pork burger with mint slaw, bbq and mayo ($12)
- Charred Broccoli with garlic butter and almonds ($8)
Overall, I really enjoyed Burger Burger. Although I didn't particularly like my burger, my friends really enjoyed theirs so I will definitely come back to try the other ones. The side dishes were really enjoyable and definitely try the peanut butter & chocolate thick shake.
This is definitely one of the better burger outlets in Auckland. Having sampled most of the burgers and sides on offer (don't ask), I have come to the conclusion that while the price may be steep for a burger of such size (see Ferg Burger) you do get an extremely nice burger.
Love this place not my first time. Great service and atmosphere. The food is fantastic. Tried the vegetarian bunnace tonight think I'm a meat eating carb lover. I prefer the pulled pork bun.
Love the environment and atmosphere, very cool joint even thou I'm not a big fan of burgers myself, the potato skin with truffle is pretty good! Tried the beef burger and the pulled pork burger so far in my last visits they were for me the perfect size and portion for the price is all very fairly distributed
Was at Burger Burger tonight, amazing experience as always!
Got the Lamb and shoestrings, gotta lovvit!!
Unfortunately the bun was a little burnt round the edges but hey doesn't that confirm the home cooking flavor??
House beer (Beer Beer) delish - recommended to all.
Very friendly staff and very accommodating to our one-year-old...
Were told we needed to wait for 20 mins (not surprising given the popularity of this place) but got a table after just over 10.
Recommended to all that are looking for good relaxing atmosphere and a yum as burger!!
We'll be back! :)
Got out of bed because I was craving an amazing Milkshake and boy did I find it thanks to the lovly staff. Got the Peanut and Chocolate Milkshake and it was delicious š
I have been there a few times and it's just getting better and better. This is a very busy place especially on weekend nights. But that doesn't affect the quality of the food. Love the daily specials as it's always something to surprise you. Original burgers I recommend the pulled pork and the beef. Lastly, must try the saluted caramel milkshake, it is divine.
Love their vegetarian burger and love the fries. Always too full to try the ice cream which is a shame. The staff seemed to be under pressure last time I was there and were trying to rush us along when we had finished- I guess there are always people waiting but it was annoying. Despite that I'll be back again and again šššš½
I went to Burger Burger two months ago and I have to say it was really great. Although my friend and I had to wait because there was such a long line we managed to get a seat. I ordered the Market Fish burger with a side of kumara chips while my friend ordered the Vege Burger with shoestring fries. To be honest it was pricey but I think it was well worth to eat, given the fact that the burger was delicious, the service was great and also the atmosphere of the restaurant was lively. I really enjoyed Burger Burger and can't wait to go back again.
Ordered the chicken burger and it was the best burger I've ever had in my 19 years of existence. The chicken was juicy and tender and full of flavor. I wasn't to sure about the cheddar being included in but it went perfectly in with the burger. My favourite was the tamatoe jam/salsa that was absolutely divine. The bread buns were soft and the burger just melted in your both. I had a quick bite of the lamb burger and that was good to minus the beetroot. But BURGER BURGER is really nice !!!!!
Visited burger burger on a busy Saturday night. There was a waiting list as expected. The staff promptly took our phone number and we walked around the block then received a text within 30 minutes. Even though the wait was quite long it was worth it! We ordered the broccoli side, Kumara fries, lamb bunnuce and chicken burger. The broccoli arrived quite fast, but we were soon told they ran out of lettuce and if we wanted bunnuce to wait for them to retrieve more from their ponsonby store, so we chose to have the buns instead. The burgers were soooo good!! Only let down was the slow arrival of our fries. Maybe the staff forgot but it was a very busy night. Overall would still definitely go again :)
I like the Newmarket restaurant the best. Great location, cool fit out and loads more room than Ponsonby.
The burgers are good hearty homemade style, not spectacular but pretty on point...however it's the extras that make this place. The broccoli! The shakes! The ice cream sandwiches! Ohhhhh the ice cream sandwiches!!!
It pays to get there early, as it's super busy...but certainly a great option when you want a tasty tasty burger.
Love this place! I prefer this location to the ponsonby one, it has a nicer vibe and is much more spacious. The staff are jolly and helpful. The burgers are great and their broccoli side is extraordinary, so tasty and a more fresh alternative to the rich burgers and shakes on offer.
Great service, they always have heaps of staff on and the food is AMAZING! I've been here quite a bit with friends and we just can't stop ourselves from going back. The toilets are really clean and nicely decorated which was a nice touch. Their shakes are so good they're evil and don't even get me started on the potato skins... You can't book a table which is a bit of a bummer and if you plan to go on a Friday/Saturday expect to wait a while for a table to free up- but it's worth the wait. Id be happy with anything from their menu- they've got all the flavours and textures balanced nicely. Amazingly decorated bar area too! Definitely worth a visit! The lamb burger is one of my new favourites! ššš

this beef burger is a classic dad behind the bbq burger. your dad thinks its waaay better than it actually is.Ā
i just want bang for my buck you know. $14 for a cheeseburger (i had to add the cheese too) is pretty steep considering it only came with beef, bun, sauce and a few pickles.Ā
just wanted some lettuce and onions eh.Ā
potato skins were so good - but yeah sorry i just dont wanna go back.
A cute little burger joint tucked inside new market. Great for a night out with friends! I ordered the chicken burger which was yum but my friend ordered the pork burger which she's still raving on about so will try that next time. Also, make sure you get the snicker chocolate milkshake! Hands down, one of the yummiest milkshakes I've had! It's not overwhelmingly sweet so it goes great with a burger and some fries :)
Finally tried Burger Burger! Lots of friends have raved about it since the first site in Ponsonby opened.
I really liked the vibe of the place, it just felt very upbeat, social and relaxed, with exciting food on offer.
We tried the beef burger and pork burger with a side of potato skins. The burgers were pretty good, the pork was on the slightly sweet side for me though. The beef patty was juicy and delicious. The brioche buns were nice, personally I would have preferred them to be more fully and fluffy rather than on the crusty side. Potatoes skins were served with truffle aioli which was delicious, and the portion size was generous, probably enough for 3-4 people.
The first time eating at this joint was with my sister didn't know what to expect. This place is one of my fav places to eat, I'm such a sucker of great decor when it comes to eating out i believe it what sets your mood while eating. This place did not fail and the food was amazing great to share with people as you do get full very fast and the food is super fresh and delicious id totally recommend this place to everyone check it out you wont be disappointed.
Went to Burger Burger on Sunday with my partner. WWe sat outside and decided on the chicken burger and the beef burger with fries and the peanut butter and chocolate shake. We didn't have to wait very long considering it was nearly at full capacity inside. We waited about 10-15 mins for our food to arrive which was fantastic; so fast. We both really enjoyed the shake, it has so much flavour and tasted exactly like recees peanut buttercups. Yum. The fries were pretty standard and I can't fault fries but they were a lil salty so next time I will order without the salt. My partner and I both didn't like out burgers. My partner had the beef burger. I think there must've been a bit too much sauce on it because it was quite soggy but there wasn't much in the way of flavour there either. I didn't enjoy the chicken burger because of the same reason. It says Cajun chicken but I couldn't taste anything like that. Just was a bit boring. I cannot fault Burger Burger Newmarket as when asked about the food and honestly telling them it was so kind of them and amazing service that they wiped the cost of the burgers from the bill. I feel that this is an amazing way to handle honest feedback as I have been to many places where I have not had great food or experiences only for them to shrug and look at me. Because of this my partner and I will be back to try your burgers once more. Good on you for giving amazing customer service and listening to feedback. We appreciate it very much.
After all the hype, we finally made a visit to New Market to give this place a try. Busy Friday night as expected, we were seated within 15mins when arriving at 6:30. Friendly staff, great vibe. Potato skins are delicious! The size of the burger appears to be small when you have a hungry eye but portion size is deemed as normal. Ordered the home made lemonade which had a great kick to it.
It was really cool here! I loved the decor, it was a little retro with some photos of their staff. Everyone who worked here seemed like the were good mates with really added to the awesome vibeš. I got a chicken burger and man do I love me some chicken! Good flavours, not too much sauce, which I find with some burgers so very happy! Would go back again
!!! BB you've never failed us !!! The food that we ordered always in high standard. The atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed every bit of it! Sure we will come back!!!
Awesome atmosphere! The service was quick and friendly and the burgers were delicious. I went with a group and I think we all had food envy of each other! Must remember to leave room for dessert as their ice cream bar is an awesome must!
-quite possibly the best milkshake I've EVER had
-burgers were unique and delicious tasting, one of the better ones I've had
-prices of burgers are very reasonable for what you get
-definitely a go-to in Auckland, would recommend
Waited nearly an hour to get a carpark to try Burger Burger in Newmarket on saturday night! It was worth the wait, the fish burger was delicious! The homemade sauce was amazing! The shoestring fries was delicious too.
Have visited the Newmarket Burger Burger multiple times since it's opening, and love love love the additional dessert bar they have! Definitely makes it more enticing than the Ponsonby branch. Their interior is also much bigger and has more of a diner feel to it. In my most recent dining experience, I tried the beef burger for the first time; probably not my favourite from their menu but still quite tasty. There was quite a lot of mustard and gherkins, so the overall flavour was a little too sourish. I've been told that the beef burger is great if you add cheese to it though. We also ordered a side of kumura fries, which are always a good time. However, this time they ended up getting our order mixed up and they arrived much later than our burgers. I wasn't too fussed but was just a little bit annoying. Still, I'll sure I'll be back again for more soon enough!

Fish Burger and Potato skins are the diggity bomb. Bun on fish burger is so soft and matches the crispy fish very nicely. Newmarket branch has heaps of space, so seating is usually never an issue.
A regular among my friend group. Casual dining, with great tasting, fresh food. The best way we have found is to split a couple burgers - we usually go fish and pork, and also the potatoe skins (worth asking for the truffle aoli) and chargrilled broccoli is also a treat. This place is packed for a reason. Great atmosphere and superb, friendly staff.
Can't really fault this place at all, burgers are delicious, flavours are amazing and wait time is fast as. Only thing is if you go when it's busy you do end up waiting quite a while for a table but that's to be expected when you can't book. I'm a definite regular here haha
Have been here a couple of times. Very bustling atmosphere. Very tasty burgers and nice sides to go with them. Great place for a casual meal.
Went here for lunch today after hearing so much about this place! The dƩcor is great with such a energetic vibe to it! The posters surrounding the walls and the neon light icecream sign were nice features.
I ordered the lamb burger (nice to see they had a bunnace option for those health conscious!). The lamb was tender and juicy! Other than that there wasn't anything super special about it but at the same time I wasn't disappointed. The shoe string fries and kumara chips were fresh and tasty - loved the aioli. The burger alone is not enough so I'd recommend a side or two!
I was worried about service here as this place seems to be buzzing all the time but the staff were good and attentive considering how busy it was. All 5 of us received our meals at the same time too which was a plus.
Burger burger is in a great location and has a good amount of seating. It can get quite havoc at times so if possible avoid peak times. Next time I'll be back to try the ice cream sandwich and give a bunnace burger a try!
I have been meaning to try this place for a very long time and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the fish burger and it was perfection; ingredients were fresh, and I enjoyed it thoroughly down to the last bite. They have a different filling to every burger (chicken, beef, lamb, pork, vegetarian, etc) so the range caters to a wide group of audiences. I will definitely come back to try the other burgers.
The potato skins are a MUST HAVE side if you're dining here. It is served with truffle aioli which gives it an extra twang in the flavour.
The staff were friendly, which made us feel very welcome. I really liked the decorations on their walls, and the whole atmosphere was just easy going and chill. Overall a very pleasant meal, 4.5/5.
Finally tried Burger Burger today after hearing such great reviews from friends and we were not disappointed. I tried the lamb and the pork burger - pork was def my fav! Loved the kumara fries and the aoili and the chocolate and peanut butter thick shake!
We've trusted Burger Burger with simple hunger busting burgers for lunch and dinner but things are changing up a bit.Ā
Burger Burger is taking on Brunch.Ā
Intrigued? So was I, which made me the first one at the Newmarket Branch to get my hands on a brand new breakfast burger.Ā
Ordering a French and Maple Burger and the bacon and egg burger I knew I was in for a treat.
The French and Maple Burger is made with a Frenched Bun, Maple Bacon and Grilled Banana. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth or love the classic bacon and banana combo this one is for you.
The bacon and egg burger is in a 5 grain bun and comes with fried eggs, free range bacon and a hollandaise sauce. This is a literally a breakfast in a bun and it's one I'd definitely have again.Ā
Additionally you can now order coffee coffee (no thats not a typo, it is burger burger after all). Using eight thirty beans and filter brewing, you get to enjoy a strong coffee in a light blue ceramic and clay mug.Ā
Next time you're feeling peckish for a decent breakfast head into ether Ponsonby's or Newmarket's Burger Burger Store for a better better breakfast.

Awesome interior that emphasised funk and vintage, matching with mouth-watering burgers! The Kumara slices was definitely one of my faves. Can't wait until they expand the locations.
Amazing burger, best ever fries and to die for milkshake! We will definitely be coming back, and soon! I also love the atmosphere of the place, good music and good vibes
Have been here a few times since they have opened in Newmarket but decided to take my parents here tonight to show then how great it was. Just wanted to leave a comment about the service I received this arvo, we were served by a young guy with long hair in a ponytail, he was so warm and inviting and really excited about his job, best service I've ever received not only here but anywhere. So thank you for making us feel comfortable:) also can never go past the amazing pulled pork burger and chocolate thick shake, my fave!!!! Can't wait to see burger burgers popping up all over the place, you guys will do very well šš»šš»
First lunch visit to the Newmarket Burger Burger. Awesome pork Burger, the broccoli sides are epic. Tried the cabbage and potato skins too. Really awesome except the cabbage had a bit too much salt. The peanut butter think milkshake was just beautiful. That's how peanut butter should be had.
Burger burger is a great quick bite to eat if you're around the Newmarket area or may have even been shopping. I love the food and they have a myriad of of burgers and side dishes to choose from.
The first time I went there I was served by a waitress who is less than helpful she had a very cantankerous attitude and didn't make my visit enjoyable. Luckily some of my friends convinced me to go to burger burger with them and that time we were actually served by a much nicer waiter, who was very eager to show me some side dishes and to suggest some good burgers.
My personal favourite is the pulled pork burger with the mint slaw I really love it because the pork is very rich and the mint slaw really cuts through it and give you a nice burst of freshness. I really enjoy the kumara chips as they come with a gorgeous garlic a aioli though I would recommend sharing because it's quite a big helping, I also love the roasted brocolli and almonds. As far as drinks go I usually order the honey cola which has a really nice natural flavour to it and really does taste like manuka honey.
Honestly I would rather go to the Movenpick in Newmarket than eat the ice cream sandwiches that they have at burger burger they are really just bland tasting and cumbersome I don't think that they are worth the money.
Though I think the burgers are worth every cent and it's really worth it especially if you get an outdoor seat which is beautiful when you can really see the gorgeous exterior.

First timer and wow. It's such a great place with a great food and FANTASTIC service. They guy serving us was hilarious and the bathroom... Omg the bathrooms! I would go in there just to wash my hands... Yea I know it's weird, my friends and I are all obsessed with the soap.
Been to Newmarket and Ponsonby stores now, had the beef burger and it's amazing, also had a chicken bunnice once which was great and the skins, every time, are sensational.
I dined here with some work colleagues on a Friday afternoon. We arrived right on 12pm to make sure that we got a table as it gets packed super fast.
I had the smoked fish burger special served in lettuce ($16). I love being able to have it served in lettuce rather than a bun to make it extra healthy.
The wait for the food was quite long and I got my burger after everyone else had nearly finished. I also didnāt think it was the best value for money as I left afterwards still slightly hungry. However I probably should have ordered sides. I have tried their kumara fries and charred broccoli before and they are both equally delicious.
Overall if you are looking for a healthyish meal in Newmarket with friends, then this is a good place to go.

Service was great considering we were rookies at burger burger... Tried the 'special' burger & it was delish- nice to try something different over your classics... Reasonably priced for the quality of the food... Kumara fries with the aioli were to die for!
Ok so literally six days ago we dined at burger burger (Ponsonby) and were really impressed by the scene/food and service ... So tonight we decided to try out the New Market venue! There was a bit of a crowd waiting in line... However, we had our details taken to make a booking and decided to grab a drink while waiting! It took about 20 odd minutes to be seated. Once we had ordered the food arrived within no time! (Ok maybe 10 mins max). I ordered the beef burger again and it was deliciously satisfying
:3 the shoe string fries were good too.... After dinner we ordered a cookie ice cream sandwich and a scoop of ice cream ... Oh my... The salted caramel ice cream was AMAZING!! (I don't usually like ice cream but this was absolutely delish!). I must add that our waiter was very attentive and so informative! Even my partner acknowledged how good he was at his job! I will definitely visit this joint again in the near future!!
Here's a photo of our drinks and dessert (I forgot to take a photo of my burger lol) āŗļøāŗļøNomnom
Been to the one in Ponsonby but I liked this more ambience wise. Tried the chargrilled broccoli and house beer. Awesome place
Must try : Chargrilled broccoli and beef burger
Verdict : Definitely going back
Dined here with friends 3 weeks ago on a Friday night. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table, I didn't mind because we were told that the wait is 45min when we put our name down for a table. I was quite impressed with their table system, it really works.
I was tempted to order the burger that was on special which was duck but I went for the beef butger with cheese. And also a side of kumara fries.
The burger was delicious, I can't fault it. The potato skins were good but if you have had the potato skins from Depot then nothing compares. The sauce mayo thing that came with the skins didn't have much flavour. Kind of just tasted like mayo. The kumara fries came with the same sauce.
The music was a tad too loud had to have a conversation shouting at each other. Butger burger is a bit pricey but I think it's worth a try.
Yum fatty food at its best!!!!! Had the fish burger and pork (half with hubby) pork was amazing fish was average, also had the kumura fries. Washed down with theatre lion red beers :-) very cute and cosy location for a
Winters night the kumura fries take me
Back to the Gordon Ramsay burger joint in Vegas amaze
The food and drinks are awesome... My fish burger was great, the tui's nest burger was also delicious. My son didnt rate it too highly though, his beef burger had too much tomato jam and it made the buns soggy. But overall, we loved it. What made it even better was the service! Highly recommended.
Classic Burgers done well. Choose from a modest range of burgers, I have had the chicken and the fish, both very good. HIGHLY recommend the chargrilled broccoli and also potato skins with truffle aioli! With the ice cream bar inside the restaurant, it's hard to leave without an ice cream sandwich consisting of two chunky cookies, and your choice of ice cream - salted caramel recommended. Cool, energetic vibes with good music and friendly staff.
I'm really disappointed because I was looking forward to eating here and my meal wasn't great. Maybe I expected too much due to the hype.
we were luckily seated very quickly inside on a small table which i felt had too many things on it, leaving little room for us to move our food around to share.Ā
The service here was amazing, our server kept checking everything was alright, was friendly and talkative and the rest of the staff were always smiling.Ā
The wait for our food was a bit longer than we had hoped but not unreasonable, apart from the fact the server failed to bring my friend her peanut butter milkshake. This was quickly resolved and her milkshake arrived.
We ordered 2 chicken burgers and a vege burger, potato skins, fries and also that peanut butter milkshake. I found my burger to be extremely hard to eat but also quite greasy and felt myself getting sick halfway through it. The portion size was great considering the amount of chicken, but the taste was quite underwhelming personally. My friend found her vege burger to be good but nothing special. Ā Her fries were good and a large portion size which was good, same goes for the potato skins but not as good as the hype suggested in my opinion. My friends peanut butter milkshake was the star of the show and i would return just for that.
If i do decide to come back, i probably will try another burger rather than seeing if it was a one off with the chicken. personally i would rather pay for a burgerfuel burger
Update: increased my rating because the lamb burger is super delicious as well as the curly fries! Service was quick and worth the wait this time!
You can't never go wrong with this type of food concept but you can definitely go wrong in service. Not the case! Burger Burger has a large number of employees and they all incredibly nice and welcoming, efficient and true masters of "small talk" (in a good way!). If you are into good comfort food, a relaxed funky atmosphere, this is the place to be!
Went with my mum a couple of days ago. First time trying burger burger and thought highly of it. The burgers were awesome, we had a chicken burger and a beef burger and with potato skins, when the potato skins were here, we thought it was too oily, and they had put too much salt in it. So it was quite salty. Nice atmosphere, would come again if I feel like a burger but not ordering the potato skins again.
I would havr rated this place really high but the wait for take away was over 30mins. My burger unfortunately was more burnt than grilled. Shakes, fries were good. It's very well priced. Other than never finding a seat and long wait its good
The Burgers are the best in NZ and reminded me of some cool Burger joints in LA but with a NZ twist.
I recommend the beef and cheese burger and the Lamb burger wrapped in lettuce (alternative to bread bun) The potato skins are delicious as they are served with a truffle aioli dipping sauce.
I thought I'd be fancy and get the Chocolate Thickshake with a shot of Gentleman Jack Daniels - $18 BUT HOLLY SHIT BALLS AMAZING!!!!
Great burgers, great service! One of the most famous burger joints in Auckland and for good reasons. What I loved the most about this place is that I could constantly see meat and ingredients coming over from the buthery across this restaurant. To me, that means FRESH and quality. This place isĀ mostly alwaysĀ packed. The lines are huge most times but considering that, the service is quite fast. Loved the succulent beef patties, but my favourite is the lamb. ALso try their Kumara chips! WOnt be disasppointed. GOOD CHOICE
Tried burger burger for the first time....has a hip young atmosphere. ..relaxed yet attentive staff. I had the fish burger which came promptly and was fresh and tasty. Others had fries served with aioli...no complaints there. If you're looking for quick and uncomplicated meal this is the place.
Like it says, "simple honest burgers", and no one likes an honest burger more than myself. They have outdone themselves with one of the hippest interiors for a burger joint, which I even prefer to their P Rd venue. Fish burger was delicious, fries were great and everything was served quickly by super amiable staff. I can easily see why this place was packed, even though it is tucked away somewhat. If you're a fan of burgers then you won't want to miss out....
HOLY JESUS BEST THING I'VE HAD IN MY MOUTH ALL YR. But srsly I'm gonna be going back on da regs. Medium rare beef burger is perfection. Almost too good. Yum burgers to the max. Tumeke Burger Burger!
I'm so happy that finally I visited here!
If you are craving for good burger, here is right place.
My boyfriend has fish burger and i had chicken burger, it was amazing!!!
Plus we tried first time Kumara fries and Awww, delicious!!!!!! I loved it so much :)
Raspberry milk shake wasn't too thick(it's just our preference and this even taste great!!), so next time we will try thick milk shakes!!!
Service here was great, everyone smiling and welcoming and everything was clean and tidy!
We will come here again!!!!!!
I had the fish burger ($12), charred broccoli ($7) and an ice cream sandwich ($12). The burger itself was amazing, with the perfect balance of fillings and fresh market fish. It is also a great size- not too big or too small. The broccoli is delicious and a healthy alternative to fries. Ice cream sandwich is good too! Although $12 is a bit expensive for what it is. Overall, great atmosphere, fantastic wait staff and really good food!
One of the better burgers I have tasted last fee years!
I had the beef burger and shor string fries, which were really juicy with so much flavours. I would highly recommend!
TOP 10 PICKS - Welcome to Burger Burger! Located in the hustling back streets of New Market - This popular burger joint is proving its keep! This place is larger than its mother store in Ponsonby, so seating isnt much of a problem. I recently took my nephew here for a Aunty and Uncle day out. We got my neff the kiddy burger combo and his favourite Lewis Rd Chocolate milk, it always goes down a treat for any kid. I ordered the chicken lettuce burger for myself and stole a few potato skins when my neff wasnt looking hehe - alls I can say is the food is AaaaMazing! Anyways the waiter was attentive and super helpful, bringing my nephew colouring paper and crayons to draw with and checking up on service of the food and if we required more drinks. Anyone would think we nearly had a nanny with us. Thats how good the service was. Well I would just like to say BURGER BURGER yourve done it again - nothing but the BEST served from this restaurant! Highly recommend to all! See you soon x
Nothing special. it was nice. potato skins were luvly as were the shoestring fries and kumara chips. will update once I try out the other burgers. had beef burger yday - nothing to write home about.
Love their chicken but always have to ask for salt-less frites, too salty for my taste otherwise. Had beef burger twice but again they were too salty almost taste like i was having a salt burger.. Other than that place is cosy, great staffs, love their bathroom! and love their shoestring fries and fried chickens!

I love their burgers and the crispy chicken was pretty good too! The new market branch has a better ambience than the ponsonby one and staff are friendly as well. Overall, great food definitely worth a try! :)
Lovely place! Love the lights, the seating layout, the atmosphere. Although it seems a bit bigger than the joint in Ponsonby, the last time I visited, there was still about a 20 minute wait. I believe it was a Thursday, just a couple of weeks ago.
Now I'm not sure what happened that night, but when we arrived (3 people), we were told it was a bit of a wait and the guy added us onto the wait list. Told us we would get a text when a table was free. We were standing in the outside area, next to a few empty seating....so not sure why we couldn't sit there. We went for a walk, and when we returned, we still hadn't received a text but thought we would just wait inside (not many places to walk around in Newmarket at 8pm). We saw the same empty seats but still didn't get a text. We sat down at some empty seats to wait. Then we eventually asked if we could just sit where we were and order. They said it was no problem. I don't know why we weren't offered that option in the first place.... perhaps we should have asked sooner?
We ordered some burgers and some fries. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Was dying to order the peanut butter milkshake too but was way too full!
When it came time to pay, for some reason we were overcharged for like 20 bucks. Had to wait about 10 minutes for them to sort it out because no one seemed to know how to return the money. Don't remember there to be any apologies..
Although I love the food here, I am not too sure about the service as there were HEAPS of staff on the night but everything took super long to sort.
Hopefully next time will be better.
I love the ponsonby burger burger but this one is so much better. Better seating and the service is better also! Maybe because everyone isn't squished in. The guy who looked after us was particularly friendly. The chicken burger is delicious and the milkshakes are a must. Recently tried their fried chicken side and was amazing!
The Nmkt BB is like the family restaurant version of BB. Still hip, still cool, just with enough seating for the whole family. We ordered a mixture of food to share. The board special, a smoked wagyu burger, BB fried chicken, French fries w. aioli and the charred broccoli w. garlic butter & almonds. We also ordered a chocolate & peanut butter thick shake and raspberry milkshake. Very quick service as well, food was as good as it's sister store. Loved the Chocolate & Peanut butter thick shake, it was crunchy as well š
Yay! Great experience here the other week. Went a little later (about 8.30pm)Ā and the place was still busy. Staff were very friendly. The burgers were delicious - we both preferred my boyfriend's lamb burger! A little more flavoursome than my chicken, but both still great. We ordered a side each (kumara chips and potato skins)Ā and just couldn't finish everything (and my boyfriend is a big eater)! Reasonably priced too. Will be back soon :)
Great experience! Went earlier this evening and I definitely prefer it over the one located in Ponsonby. The larger space is 100 times less claustrophobic and sets an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. The waiters were attentive and recommended the fish burger which was done well.
I'm yet to try the banana split from their but i have heard great things and look forward to going back!
Who would say no to free fries?! Haha, was given free fries due to double up in the kitchen.
My beef burger was delicious although when ordering the waitress asked if I'd like cheese, of course I'd say yes to cheese but I was unaware that this was an extra charge. Only an extra $2 that was fine but it would have been nice if that was clarified.
Other than that I would definitely come back! Great atmosphere, bubbly staff, and of course great food! š
Tried the special burger with chicken and bacon. It was great. But the highlight was the chocolate thickshake! It was the best! The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were great. Funny and efficient.
Love the food, the service, the only thing wrong with it is that there's not one on every street. Chicken burger with pineapple is top notch. The theme of the place is epic.
The back story: I first heard about Burger Burger through some friends raving about a new local burger joint with amazing burgers. I made it my mission to try this out - trying firstly at the Ponsonby outlet but having no luck due to the long lines waiting there. It was obviously a popular choice ! My first burger I finally managed to try was from Laneway Festival...and I was hooked. Many a time I have since returned to the Ponsonby outlet - so I was delighted to hear a Newmarket branch was opening.
Setting: located in the courtyard off York st with the rustic brick setting, the scene is already set for a retro style burger bar. Walking into the outlet - the atmosphere is different from the Ponsonby store. The tables were more well spaced; the high ceiling offered more room and comfort for diners. A colourful neon light proudly advertising ice cream burgers tops off the retro feel. A swift, friendly service meets us promptly at door - akin to Ponsonby. Specials were explained; and when told
we were in a rush and had to leave in half an hour, they promptly took our orders and had them ready in a swift 10 minutes.
Food : The menu offers a selection of fresh burgers from beef, chicken, fish, pork to a vegetarian option with a changing special. Prices are for gourmet burgers - ranging from $12 to $18 for the special - more than your usual takeout burger but reasonable or even cheaper than what you'd pay at a restaurant. Options are limited but what they offer they do well. They also offer a bunnuce for those wanting a low carb option with the burger bun replaced with cos lettuce - though their buns are good so you would be missing out! I chose the pork belly option. I was skeptical about the mint slaw initially but it turned out - the slaw balancing out the richer meaty pork belly. One thing to notice though is their burgers come with quite a lot of dressing - so not something you'd want to leave too long or the burger gets soggy. Their potato skin sides with truffle aioli and chargrilled broccoli with almonds and butter are must-try sides if you have room. Their portions are generous though so maybe something for sharing. Their shakes and ice cream burgers looked equally tempting - something for next time. Not a place to go if you're on a diet - but definitely loads of yumminess!
Occasion : upbeat fun burger joint for lunch or dinner - good for a casual date or group catch up though beware of busy times as these places fill up quick especially on a Friday night!
Revisit potential: 10/10
Love burger burger and the new market is even bigger than Ponsonby so no waiting! I had the potato skins, special burger (waygu beef, fried onions, pickles) and an ice cream sundae, amaze!
My brother also had a choc milkshake which I also love from previous visits but didn't have this time as I didn't want to be too full for ice cream!
Tried this joint for the first time. Great atmosphere! We were promptly shown to a table upon arrival. The service was excellent. I tried the 'bunnuce' and hubby had the beef burger. We also ordered a side of potato skins. Everything was really tasty! Each bite was mouthwatering! Will definitely be back :)
Best burgers in town, broccoli is the bomb.com and ventured out and tried the sauteed cabbage with bacon bits and everybody must try it! (If you're into that sort of stuff) Been a regular for a while, chicken is a personal fave. The bigger place is way cosier.
I really enjoyed coming here for lunch one weekday, we arrived just before twelve and the shop was quite empty, but there was plenty of staff around and we got a table really quickly. Having not been here before it was really nice for the staff to take us through the menu and specials and explain a few things that they do differently to other burger joints.
We ordered two burgers and two sides. The special of the week was a Marty McFly (great name) which had chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce and dressings. It looked amazing and HUGE. The other burger was their beef burger ordered as it comes which is medium rare. Not realising how big the sides of fries were we ordered some shoestring potatos and Kumara chips to share - don't do this unless you are a hungry beast. The servings are massive, delicious and come with a big blob of aioli which is great to see as normally you get quite a small amount for lots of chips. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavour.
I also ordered a house made honey cola which was really delicious- highly recommend this as the flavour was amazing!
Can't wait to come back and try their broccoli and see what types of special burgers they make up.
Been here twice, along with one visit to the Ponsonby store. Definitely the best burger place in Auckland that I have been to. Never had a problem with the burgers. Only problem is the Potato Skins change every time I go. The First time In Ponsonby, they were delicious and the last two times they have been average. Other negative is that the service is a little too slow but its not an issue to me as I can see they are always working hard to keep a full restaurant happy!
Burger Burger had quite a build up.. It was all quite lovely, service, food and all. But there was no wow factor... Would go again to get a casual meal with friends though
Our starbucks team from st.lukes held dinner in burger burger and they all accommodating and amazing. The food was so good and we order a lot of burger and desserts too. Much try and surely I will comeback for more??
Burger Burger simply oozes cool with amazingly delicious burgers to boot! The Newmarket branch is located in the newly developed yet almost industrial alleyway of sorts between Khyber Pass and Kent Street. It sits in good company being flanked on one side by Best Ugly Bagels and opposite the delightful Dry & Tea salon.
When we arrived the place was already buzzing full to the brim. However we only had to endure a short ten minute wait by their text alert system before a table was ready.
The atmosphere is diner-cool but also a bit rustic and Western with a nod to pop-culture. The menu is simple - an array of burger choices and additions, sides, an extensive drinks menu and there is even an ice cream bar on site.
We ordered a beef burger with cheese for me, a lamb burger for my friend and shared the grilled broccoli and potato skins as sides.
My burger had a medium rare thick pattie, juicy , and every mouthful flavoursome - just how a burger should be! The lamb burger looked delicious and was filled with pieces of slow cooked lamb - not a lamb pattie. The sides were fantastic - potato skins with truffle aioli perfectly crisp and the broccoli (topped with slithered almonds) was crunchy and very more-ish.
This was enough to leave us stuffed and we were disappointed that we couldn't fit in an ice cream sandwich! I look forward to returning soon with a big appetite to be able to try more deliciousness. Our bill came to $43 in total so quite reasonable for decent "fast food."
I am a massive fan of Burger Burger, and so I was super excited to eat at the new restaurant in New Market. I have found the Ponsonby one to be quite small and crowded, and often there's a bit wait to be able to get a seat. I honestly love the new location, it's so much bigger, and you don't feel like you sitting on your neighbours lap. I would probably stick to the New Market one over the Ponsonby one now. They still held onto the cute market feel from the Ponsoby location, as its part of a collection of shops. The food was fabulous, as per usual, however I was a little concerned with the pinkness of my meat. Both my friend and I had the weekly special; The Big Mat, which was $20, which was quite expensive. Everything was great, no serious complaints. The bathroom was actually really adorable with its rustic style basins and hand lotions. My one concern would be the availability of parking, it took quite a while to get a park at mid-afternoon, and it's all pay-n-display. Not really a problem, just something to consider.
Had to wait 20minutes for a table but was all well worth it! Had the tastiest lamb burger and fried chicken, which was to die for. Had a quirky waiter with lots of tattoos who was hilarious and such good company. Will definitely be back again!
Experience 9.5/10 (only because of the long wait)
Thursday (28/1/16) - visited for lunch. We ordered potato skins & beef burgers. Potato skins arrived within a minute of ordering which we found strange, but still tasty nonetheless.
Burgers however, took 20 minutes to arrive and were a bit too rare for medium rare, with not much flavour. Don't think I'd try their burgers again, just going for their potato skins.
____________________________________________________
Wednesday (22/4/15) - Food was very good yet again with the potato skins somehow having grown in size, which we're not complaining about.
However, we tried the raspberry thickshake which we don't recommend. It was a mixture of real and artificial raspberry that was a bit too sweet, giving a sickening feeling.

Thursday (16/04/15) - Tried this branch today for lunch. Staff were very friendly. While we were waiting in the queue to order, a staff member asked if we were dining in or takeaway. He then prompts took us to an available table, avoiding the long queue.
We ordered the beef burger with fresh chilli, lamb burger, as well as the potato skins. We had arrived just after 1, so as expected, burgers took a while to arrive, followed by the potato.
The beef burger was delicious, however, not able to taste the chilli which tasted more of capsicum. The lamb was good, however, as a burger, was missing some acidity. The potato skins were very good, cooked well, and well worth the wait.
Cannot wait to come back. Be sure to arrive with empty stomachs as well as a bit of patients.
BEST BURGERS EVER!!!! Simply perfection...amazing flavors with every mouthful. This is the heaven of all burger joints. Bit of a longer wait then most burger joints but that's only cos they're so popular...definitely worth the wait. I'll never eat burgers anywhere else again. LOVE!!!
Amazing burgers! So worth the wait. I love being able to choose exactly what goes on it :) Amazing staff, keen for a chat. Icecream sandwiches to die for! I will be there all the time
Very very good burgers , better than any I have had before, chilli beef fries were amazing. Loved the location also. Got a shock with the price.. Spent $70 for two but could have toned back our order
Got the burger cluckin' hot paired with a "beer beer" potatoe skins with truffle oil to start, yum!
Fast service, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and above all, excellent food. Can't fault this place on my visit.
Buns were toasted nicely, chicken was cooked perfect. Delicious balance of savory and tangy. Went perfectly with my beer.
Could have been a better vibe if there wasn't all the construction noise in the area, definitely killed the mood as we couldn't hear each other. We shared the fish burger that was beer battered, the beef burger which had way too much sauce/mustard on it and the Kumara fries which were really good (and could have used more sauce). Wasn't sure if the tar tar sauce with the fish burger was homemade but was real delicious!
Really enjoyed our meal here. We were here after seein the Google recommends for lunch.
The place was lovely. We ordered beef cheese and fish Burger.
My husband said that beef was superb quality!
I only eat fish and veggies; Out of all the fish burgers I had, this has to be one of the best fish burger I've had.
Fish was really fresh, firm and tasted wonderful with a hint of lemon salt.
Portions were normal sized
Over all I enjoyed it very much.
PS. The toilets are super spacious, clean and tidy! Extra star for the neat environment!!!
The Burger tastes excellent! I ordered the double beef and cheese, and the double beef was thick, juicy, meaty and very flavourful. It's as good as the burgers you can get in the USA. The cheese is too quality and the flavours work out well.
The fries with aioli are also on point. The poutine is just how it is as my standards are high, having been to Montreal, but I can't blame them because you can't import actual pasteurised Quebecois cheese curds into NZ
The service was at decent speed despite the big order we had for a table of 8, and the atmosphere was on point. Good music, nice vibe and just a chill place to hang out.
It would be better if they upgraded their couch seats from being hard wood/metal to being leather, as that is more comfortable to sit on.
Wow, what a cute little hidden location! Even though it was 6pm on a Wednesday night, I was surprised with how quiet Burger Burger in Newmarket was - but this only made for a very pleasant and calm experience. We both ordered the cajun grilled chicken burgers ($18.50 each) as well as a rose (which was delicious, but a very shallow pour). As Wellingtonians who donāt have many burger options nearby, we both thought the chicken burgers were heavenly! The brioche bun was so soft and fluffy, and the grilled chicken was seasoned and grilled to absolute perfection. The menu didnāt state that the burgers were toasted with butter (I hate butter) but that's fine. The burger also contained a yummy tomato relish, cheese, rocket aioli, rocket and a spicy jalapeno salsa. All the flavours worked PERFECTLY together, and the burger itself wasn't stodgy or greasy. They were actually quite light, like I didnāt feel awful about myself after consumption.
When I was about halfway through eating my burger, I did find a short black hair in my burger (I am blonde), which I quickly told the staff about. As someone who worked at an alternative burger joint for two years, I understand that accidents like this happen, so I was unbothered. The staff removed the rose from our bill as a result.
ordered the lil chick and my partner got the old Smokey. Service was quick and efficient š the lil chick was v tasty and is perfect if you want a quick bite. You get to choose with the burger if you want fries or curly fries too. The heaters were a nice touch
Clean and upbeat atmosphere, super friendly and approachable staff
I had the cajun chicken burger which was very juicy (chicken and garnish). Could be spicer for me, but still a great feed
Also had kumara fries, not too salty, food was cooked nicely :^)
Got the lamb burger-was super impressed with the tasty handcrafted buns, they were super buttery and indulgent and smelled incredible! The outside melted in your mouth
and the soft inside just works so well with the minty yogurt sauce! The lamb itself was neither tender or dry, and it didn't really wow me. However all the elements did work
together nicely, and the mustard was a great addition that added enough tang without overpowering the other flavors.
Also got the broccoli almond side which was an awesome switch from the traditional chips, and I really enjoyed a bit
of veg as a side! It was a little charred but the flavor was there and the broccoli the right amount of toughness-not soft like mush but not a pain to chew either! The almonds and broccoli worked really nicely, but for the price and portion considered, I wouldn't get it as a side for just one
person, i think it's much better to split it.
Neat burgers with neat elements, I think I need to try more burger places to increase my experience!
Lovely seating and area, love the set up and grungy vibes.
Hokey pokey jazzy shake: really sweet, but a good milkshake, great honey flavors infused. Would have liked a thicker shake.

new favourite burger place on my list! everything was perfect. from taste and quality and quantity.
Old Smokey burger was delicious, but the chocolate milkshake was even a notch above
Came in for dinner with a friend, and we ordered using a QR code. I got the fish tacos and white sangria and we shared curly fries and the garlic broccoli. Fish was cooked perfectly, as were the fries and broccoli. The sangria was delcious and paired well with all the dishes. Service was okay, we mainly ordered online so the only interactions we had with staff were them serving food and tidying up after us. Great place to have dinner with friends.
A super laid back place.
Really friendly service and outstanding food.
Doing what it does perfectly.
I donāt know if this particular one is representative of the greater franchise, but itās a cracking ambassador for the rest of the business.
Super clean and fresh space.
Would definitely come again.
Good customer service. Nice decor and ambience(pity that I didn't take picture of the flame in cage outside). I had a cheese beef burger which tastes too salty(and my friend ordered one with a well-done patty for me...š Should've ordered a medium one...)
The burger is very delicious. Not many people in the weekend. I will definitely come back and highly recommended! Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Free water š¦ provided.
I got the article recommended beef & cheese burger with fries and a peanut butter and chocolate dairy free shake. Omg! I couldn't stop sipping on the shake! It was so tasty. And the shoe string fries were so crunchy and nicely seasoned. The burger was good. It tasted like a house made patty, and the bun was good. So I think overall it was a tasty burger. The staff were amazingly friendly and attentive, so big ups to them!
Oooh,by far,one of the best burgers I've had in Auckland till date.
Ordered the Old Smokey and the Kiwi classic and in sides ordered the curly fries and bb fried chicken.
Lucky to get parking right outside in Newmarket.
Service and ambience was great and definitely good value for money.

On my search for the best burger in Auckland this place has to be on the top 10 at least. It was a great environment to be in. The food was really good and the portions were good aswell. I give 4 starts only because I can't give 4.5. The only downside of it is the location, finding parking is quite hard, I recommend using public transport to get there.
