Beautifully crafted dishes and every dish is amazingly delicious. If you want a flavour party in your mouth, then please visit this modest little restaurant in Imax. I enjoyed a lovely chicken cashew stir fry which was served with fluffy white rice. Serving size was perfect. I normally order the curry puffs and the Rama curry... heavenly!
Ridic yum pad thais, friendly staff, and based in CBD so location wise its super ideal too
Amazing food, great taste, complete value for money, will definitely be back! It's restaurant quality in a food court with food court pricing it's a must try food outlet!
Great food, great taste, presentation was good restaurant quality. The food came out fast especially good for food court restaurant would be back again.
Un très bon restaurant servant des produits de bonne qualité, rapide,accueillant... Avec du choix ,,,,
Very tasty, good size, value for money. Been twice this week! :)
Pad Thai is the best from this little food court. A little too much bean sprouts but really good nevertheless! Authentic food and curry options too!
Best tofu noodle soup I’ve ever had! Extra good with hot sauce on it which they have readily available for you to season your own food at the counter. Had their pad Thai once which was nice but a bit too strong on the pad Thai sauce for me but overall a top notch food court Thai destination!

The best eatery in the Imax food court and fast service. Always my go-to when we are here. Just love their crunchy chicken with curry sauce on rice. Price is reasonable too at $13. Their tom yum noodle soup is quite nice too but felt a bit small in portion size. $2.50 for a big coconut drink can is worth the money. They do stamps collection too which is rare for an eatery these days. Definitely worth a visit if you like Thai food.
The food was pretty good the service and everything I loved and enjoyed. The place felt like we were actually eating in Thailand . Loved the different hot sauces that was out there for us to add to our order. The only problem I found disturbing which isn’t the stores fault is since the restaurant is in the food court .. there was a lot of birds flying around. Was looking at our food very cautious hoping the birds don’t try to eat or fly into it. Overall definitely will go back.
Love this place more than some Thai restaurants I've been to! Food always cooked really well and good quantity. Always come here when I'm craving Thai 😋
I always come here for this! Peanut stirfry is very good! The curries too. The option of taking out fish sauce is perfect for vegetarians and vegans.
Came here for lunch one day and I was suprised at how busy yhe food court was.
Was served quickly and staff were all very friendly.
I ordered the chicken pad Thai and thought it was amazing, it was relatively cheap at $12.50 and was a large serving size which I struggled to finsih. wpuld definetly come back again and tm get the same thing or even try different menu items.
Food was really good. I got a take away chicken stir fry in chilli and basil sauce. Took about 10 minutes to be ready. Service was ok but full mark for the dish.
I was a bit hesitant to go there as I read a few below average reviews but I wasn’t disappointed. The foods was great, and the portions were very good considering how cheap the place was. The line was long as we thought we’d have to wait a while but the food was ready in 15 mins (or less) and it was definitely better than expected, I would go again to try out a few more things
I really love this place. When I was back in uni I used to eat here so often because it was so yummy!! I love the curries here and they are so delicious and full of flavour. You must try it. I have tried all the curries that they were able to make vegetarian and without fish sauce. They were very catering :)
Had their Pad Thai (beef) and really enjoyed it! Definitely one of the best I’ve tried recently.. devoured it in no time! would definitely go again!
Lime Thai is my favourite thai restaurant in Auckland. Fish cakes and Thai ice tea are highly recommended. Other dishes are delicious too. The service is always good.
Love this place! Never tried a tastier Pineapple Fried rice or Pad Thai in Auckland. Best place if you are looking for cheap eats and good quality.
This place is amazing for food court food. Authentic and full of flavour. The portions are generous and nicely presented. Convenient location as well.
My go to if I don't know where else to head. The only reason I don't give it full marks is that I've seen it has a D rating recently, and because their use of sugar and salt is really excessive. Never used to be this way so I'd imagine it's a downward trend since attaining popularity at the food court.
I think this place is fairly new (just opened in 2017). I've only had the opportunity to try one item from this place so far, which is the fried chicken with curry. It is a-Ma-zing!
The fried chicken is nice and crisp (fillet style, with batter, not crumbed). And the curry that goes with it is delicious too (no surprises it was a Thai curry - Sorry I can't remember what type of curry it was).
If you're not sure what to eat at IMAX food court, id recommend this place. Il definitely be back to try more!
Really enjoyed my lunch here today. Nice flavour and a good portion size. Food was ready in less than 10 mins and steaming hot. I'll be back for sure.
I come here quite often. I had the tofu pad Thai, loved it. One of my favorites. Very affordable. It's a large portion and is filling. Staff are friendly and the service was very fast, I only had to wait like 7 mins for my food to come. I took my friend here for the first time today and she loved it too. Would fully recommend to anyone looking for decent Thai food.
I've been here 3 times now and their food never disappoints! The Green Curry tastes so authentic that I think I've ordered either that or the Red Curry every time. After reading the reviews here, next time I'll try the Pad Thai! The portions are large and well presented, and it comes with plenty of rice. Food always arrives quite fast aswell.
The Thai food here is consistently good as well as the service. All of the dishes I have tried so far have tasted great and the spicy dishes are not too mild.
Very average dishes EXCEPT that their pad Thai is the best I've tried in Auckland. That's the only reason I'm writing the review and giving it a 4. Their pad Thai is superb.
We went for dinner here before playing up stairs at the metrolines ten pin bowling. I had the beef cashew stir fry and it was really really yummy. I always pick thai food at the food courts because I know it's going to be fresh and tasty. This place lived up to my standards. Thanks lime thai
Jamming it up at KiwiJam16, our team decided to break and check in at the nearest food court to top up, reinvigorate and replenish our tired minds.
Lime Thai was a popular pick due to its colourful exterior which was plastered with delicious looking menu items
We had a green curry , pad Thai and the larb on rice.
Our meals took around 10-15 mins on a busy weekend night, so that's fairly impressive. In terms of taste we were impressed considering it is a food court, but we all agreed that Lime Thai was better than most places. Especially its curries. Portion was decent as well.
Showstopper: Spot on curry.
Overall Grade: B+
I'm giving them a high score because my vege tofu noodle soup was off the hook good. Glad I waited for them to open to have my brunch. Noodles was nice and the vinegar and chilli condiment made it that much good with the heat, tanginess and sourness. Generous with the serving. Generous with the tofu too. I needed that, as I was feeling like I was coming down with a cold. Feel way better now. Really happy with it definitely coming back here.
Almost every Friday, my classmates and I will go to this restaurant for lunch, we will order the different kinds of dish and we never disappoint. Recommend the traditional red curry with chicken. The taste is very authentic
I've spent the last few years thinking that the IMAX food court was stuck in the early 00's, however the other week after spying a colleagues takeaway lunch I discovered this place. Their food is reasonably spicy for food court standards but not inevitably so. The flavours are good, the portions are generous and the menu has a lot of choices. The Red Curry is particularly delicious.
Came here for dinner and was very satisfied! We ordered a laksa with roti and black pepper chicken and both were decent portion sizes. The laksa was more creamy so was different to a traditional Malaysian laksa and the roti was freshly made! The food was cooked very quickly, presentation was great and service was great too :) I will definitely be back!
I like the food here. The servant was nice and friendly. But the food getting smaller nowadays. I hope its bigger in the future. ...........
My girlfriend and I go here regularly, we're never disappointed. We've ordered a range of curries, soups, rice and noodle based dishes. Friendly and quick service
This hidden gem spot in food court under event cinema on Queen street is my new favorite Thai place to go in Auckland city! I didn't expect the food from food court to be this good to be honest.
I ordered deep fried chicken with rice (CK4). It was not just normal plain rice but the rice was cooked in chicken broth, garlic and ginger which was really yummy! The fried chicken were tender and not dried like other place I had before. One thing they can improve for this dish is having small bowl of soup.
I also ordered the dish that can tell me if it's good Thai restaurant or not which is som tum (SL7) Thai style salad with deep fried chicken. Som tum is like national food for Thais! So if the restaurant can make it yummy, I take it as a good restaurant haha. And Lime Thai proved that to me :)
The price is also cheap and service is fast and friendly. Love the menu with pictures. I'm excited to try other dishes here.
Fast, fresh and tasty! I've been here a few times now and am never disappointed. Highly recommended as a quick lunch time option, or a cheap bite to eat before a local show. Only downside is the 'food court feel' due to its location.
Awesome little place nice big meals restaurant size for half the price
They also serve the rice in a heart shape mold so cute! We always come here when were in the auckland cbd. Reccomend to all
As travelling around I was looking for a cheap and yummy meal. I wasn't disappointed as the pad Thai were really tasty and big enough for $11. A bit noisy as in a food court but I didn't really bother. Plus: they've lychee drink!
My friend and I went to Lime Thai which is on Queen St. for lunch. It is in the Metro food court and it was a little bit busy, many people come to eat lunch and it was quite clean because of the cleaning staff.
We ordered Thai Chicken Salad that was served with rice, but beef is also available. We paid $11.50 and the portion wasn't too small and not oily so that was very healthy and yummy as well. Moreover, the taste was a combination of sour, salty and sweet, a very complex flavor. The staff were reliable and friendly.
This shop has a lot of other various Thai dishes like Thai curry, Pad Thai and so on. You can eat typical Thai food here. We recommend that menu to a person who is going on a diet.
I come to Lime Thai for dinner almost every night I come home from work. Thai food has always been one of my favorite types of asian cuisine, and this does is as good as thai food gets! I usually get the pad thai dish, but recently I have started to eat their pad sea eww dish. They're both very nice to eat, packed with nice flavors. They people working there are also very nice. I like customizing the food I'm served, and they never have a problem with adding more egg or less carrots in my dish. Their thai ice tea is also very nice and authentic, super refreshing.
Not the best atmosphere to sit down for a nice meal as it is located in a food court, but as far as the food goes, it is definitely 10/10!
I think this place is great. Real nice and spicy food... Lets just say it cleared my sinuses. Food well done. It is unfortunate that it is situated in a food court.
This place is in a food court in the cinema behind at the same block as civic. You can stop here if you are seeing a show or going to the sensory maze. The order was quick and the food was good. I got the lemongrass salad with beef and sticky rice as I love sour and spicy flavours and boy it delivered. Would recommend it.
Food was really good. I got a take away chicken stir fry in chilli and basil sauce. Took about 10 minutes to be ready. Service was ok but full mark for the dish.
Good variety of thai food. Crispy chicken curry was okey but with a hint of coconut which i am not the biggest fan of.
Delicious! Affordable! But it was a surprisingly long wait to actually get the meal after it was ordered. Pretty happy though.
My favourite Tai fast food restaurant. Even though they recently raised the prices but a variety of delicious dishes compensate for it. The place is popular and deserves to be recommended
Amazing food, extremely tasty. Not as good as homemade but as close as ive tasted. For the price, you can't beat it!
one of my favourite places to eat!!! very good portion sizes with amazing food, good options for vegan/vegetarians too :)
I go here every dinner time lol. CK4 is the best! I love their crunchy chicken and garlic rice with soup as the side.

Very delicious food, good prices, kind staff, and very reasonable waiting time :-) Thanks!
Tasty pad Thai , won’t order as spicy next time hah but overall good service and short wait time .
great tasting thai food. I have been to other thai restaurant but this is definitely a good one
My meal was sooo delicious! Yummmm! Was a good price, and came out quick!
easy to read menu, well priced, tasty hot food, fast turnaround, can't complain, will be back again.
Decent food for a food court
Taste fresh and good portion size..
