It is the first time to yum cha after lockdown. Maybe it is too long time without dine out. So I chose this restaurant to yum cha, reasonable price, large portion and passinate service.
very good taste but noisy , busy all the time
Shout out to all the durian dishes from Lucky Fortune Restaurant! They are all made of good quality fresh durian with generous amount! I guarantee that you will be impressed at the first bite of that durian ball!Dim sums were all delicious and fresh! Really nice Yumcha spot! 10/10!

The best Chinese restaurant in Auckland
I usually go to Pearl Garden in Newmarket but will be going to Lucky Fortune from now on. Great prices. It cost $150 for 8 people, and we still had food to take home. Byo containers to take food home as the ones provided are single use polystyrene ones.
I haven’t written a review in a while as I haven’t had a chance to dine anywhere new, however today I joined my mother for yumcha and loved this restaurant, which also happened to be so close to home.
There is a decent selection of food and many free tables, so no wait time and the staff are really friendly. There is also parking available out front, which solves the age old Auckland parking problem if you choose to dine here.
Now the food was also delicious and well presented. Every dish arrived on our table still steaming and visibly fresh! I liked the prawn rolls the best, coated in a crispy layer between the rice wrap. Highly recommended :)
First time here, and I was thoroughly impressed. I love that they have their own unique varieties of the everyday faves. They have this amazing cherng farn and the prawn is coated in some sort of crispy deep fried goodness. They also have steamer ‘sampler’ baskets filled with a selection of dim sum - which would be perfect if going with just 1 or 2 other friends. The food was really hot and of course delicious. And it came around really quick.
The price was good too. We were super full at $20/head. Really impressed and will be back for sure!
It's a good yum cha restaurant i'd like to go. Service really polite and friendly, easy to find carpark and can shop at countdown at back of restaurant.
Busy, but service prompt - the food here is affordable and packed full of flavour. It’s almost hard to keep up with the food options but we definitely loved it! Would go back again, definitely as a big group. :)

Quite like the food here but it is always hectic and hard to get them to refill your tea. Especially at lunch time when they do yumchar, they timed you and give you 60-90mins to eat if they are super busy and there is queue. We booked up four tables worth for a big dinner celebration. $55pp but lots of food, and they come out so fast one thing after another. We really like their salt pepper squid, fish, spring onion ginger beef, lemon fish, sweet sour pork, lamb ribs, duck. The baked oyster, beans are alright.
Lucky Fortune always has different and unique dim sums every time I go. They are always busy and dim sum is always hot and fresh. My favourite is the crispy rice roll (top right) filled with shrimp. The egg yolk bao was amazing too, fluffy and rainy with yolk. Writing this review is making my mouth water and crave for dim sum.

Great YumCha Restaurant in Three Kings.
This place was huge and it was packed with people.
Amazing atmosphere and amazing food.
I never really liked Yumcha, it felt like eating expensive dumplings. After I started going with Chinese friends, they showed me what to order and what to avoid.
I started to like YumCha now that I dont order like white people.
Update 29/6/19: excellent customer service, the staff are all super kind and helpful! Even though we waited a little while to be seated at our own table, the turnover rate was pretty quick and we were seated within minutes!
The food quality was amazing, could not fault any dish, and the variety has increased, there are now dry versions of the popular steamed bbq buns and runny egg yolk buns (for people who want to take away hehe aka me)!! Also had their pork intestines which were super tender yet chewy, and full of flavour.
All the classics were fabulous, no faults, and all the dry bun/pastries were really good quality, tried a new thing for me-the almond taro wrap which had a amazing portion of taro filling topped with crunchy almond flakes! Also tried their sao mai which was so succulent and tender, made so well! And their glutinous rice chicken which was tasty with a good amount of filling and even a chunk of Chinese sausage! What an awesome surprise!
I’ll definitely be back, and I can’t wait to venture out and try most if not all of their yum cha menu!!!
Next step is to come for dinner!
9/2 Extremely fast service during the busy hours of noon. We were seated as soon as although had to share a table. Classics were served very quickly within minutes of being seated and were tasty and authentic, especially the black bean ribs which were served with taro, an original recipe! Was quite happy with that and all the quality of the foods, tender meat and well seasoned. However soon after there wasn’t much variety in terms of the dishes being served, only dumplings seemed to be carted around. That was unfortunate as I definitely did not feel like I had enough to eat!
Friendly staff lots of parking out front food is good quality and average great seating been going there at least one a week ever since they opened
Often visit this restaurant for lunch - one of the better yum cha places in Auckland. Food is often hot and service is great, especially the front of house staff member who is always friendly and courteous. Convenient and easy parking outside and around the location. Despite queues during peak hour - wait is not long compared to other yum cha places we’ve been to.
It’s our all time favorite yum cha restaurant. The dimsums are always tasty. The place was always full of customers especially during weekends.
Another good Yum char in the town with lots of variety in dim sums. Service is good and the waitresses went ahead extra mile here explaining individually what's good and what's average ( never seen that in any restaurant) . Food is reasonably priced as it costed us 241 for 12 people...phew!!
Must try- Sesame balls, steamed stuffed egg plant, chicken /pork dumplings ,coconut buns, ice cream balls.
Custard tart was slightly on low side.
Caution: There is a huge waiting line during weekend lunch/dinner hours and its been always like that in past :)
Had yum char last weekend with a friend. Food quality actually surprised us. No wonder so many people were waiting in long queue for a seat. We had steamed pork that was tender and juicy. Beef tendons was well cooked and tasty. It's one of the best yum char places I'd like go on a regular basis.
I love to have my yum cha at this restaurant apart from Grand Park in Greenlane.
The dim sums here are yummy and worth patronising as the prices here are comparatively reasonable.
The durian puff is my must-eat item here, the pastry is fluffy and buttery with plenty of tasty durian paste fillings. The durian paste fillings do not taste artificial and they are not overly sweet too. It's just perfect for me!
Other dim sum items are not bad too.

Great service and friendly staff. Great food with many selections to choose from. Great price range and is affordable. Great place to spend the time with family and friends.
Authentic Chinese dishes. Came here with family early on Saturday evening but it quickly filled up. Not the place to go if you don't like a noisy typical Chinese dining environment but the food is good and comes out super quickly. Bit on the pricier side for Chinese restaurant but the portions are huge.
We visited this place for our Friday lunch Yum Cha cravings and the place was pretty pack! We were seated promptly and the staff were very mindful of our baby. Food went around super fast and service was excellent! Food quality was also decent lots of choices compare to other yum cha places during week days. The place was clean and spacious so that was always a bonus. We will definitely be back!
Had yumcha here on a Friday afternoon with a couple of friends. We didn't book in advance but were greeted and seat quickly enough. There was a wide range of Asian dishes and the servers were quite detailed with their explanations of each dishes although there was a noticeable language barrier. We found the dishes we got very filling. $178.90 for 5 people who didn't finish all the food we ordered worked out quite well. I agree the decor and furniture could be updated but overall a very good experience and would definitely return and recommend for others to try. Lots of parking, the green tea offered went down well between dishes.
Came here on Easter Sunday for brunch with a family of 8!
We ordered approximately 30 dishes, everything was good flavour wise! Portions were good too! It was extremely busy but service was quick and efficient!
All in all because it was so busy, we felt a bit rushed; they do also keep track of time, where every table is allocated approx. an hour dining time.
They have the classic dim sum dishes, and also some stuff that I haven’t come across before.
The bill set us back by $173.50 which is extremely good for such a big table of so much food!

We were part of a Chinese New Year celebration tonight and the whole restaurant was booked out for the night. There were about 20 large tables full of happy diners. We had cold meats to start with soup. Steamed fish, braised hock, si qua, prickly melon, sweat sour pork, noodles and roast duck. Dishes were huge and delicious. The dishes came out well spaced and continuous. This restaurant certainly has the experience to make happy customers. Dessert is sliced fruit and tonight it was watermelon. Although we did not come for the sweets but something like egg tart would be a nice surprise to finish off the night. We will be coming back for more food.
Came here for the first time with my partner for yum cha on a Sunday morning as we live extremely close by. The staff were fantastic and quick to serve, despite being super busy. We were seated immediately at a large round table (we had to share with other people but that was no issue at all) and were asked about tea preferences. The trolleys of food came by frequently and the waitresses were lovely and efficient (most them could speak all three languages: Cantonese, mandarin and English). The food was absolutely divine and tasted as authentic as any restaurant in Hong Kong (I know because my family is from there). Every dish we ordered was piping hot and and extremely fresh, no compromise on quality or quantity! The food was not expensive either, we spent about $49 but we ordered about ten dishes between the two of us so that was fine. This is now our go to yum cha restaurant.
First time here for yum cha a few days ago & loved it. All the dishes I tried were amazing, hot, flavourful & just delish. We arrived bang on lunchtime rush, oodles of people, ladies with trolleys, experience to be had. Quite overwhelming if you're not expecting it, basic english but good enough & all staff @we encountered very friendly.
We had, pork spare ribs, long rice rolls with bbq pork & prawn ones, fried pork buns. I thought price was great, $25 for 2 of us & we lefted with a doggy bag. Will definitely be back again.
Came on a Sunday morning just after opening and already the place was absolutely packed. We managed to sneak in before a line started, but when we left there was at least a 40 minute wait.
One thing I loved about Lucky Fortune is their servers. Everyone was so lovely and chatty and all spoke good English which helped the process heaps.
Unfortunately as much as I wanted to eat everything we only managed to eat 6 dishes. pork and prawn dumplings, custard tarts, taro, red bean filled pastry, a dish filled with bbq pork and some steamed chicken buns.
Everything was so delicious! Really good portion sizes for the price too. We ended up spending around $40 between 3 of us (very poor effort on our part too 😂)
Can’t wait to come back.
If you have Chinese mates ask them to shout you lunch or tea here, Believe me they be glad to. This place is quite popular for bringing family, friends and guests to eat/hang out. It is Cantonese theme and has all your familiar dishes you may see sold at your local take-out bar but more selection, i suggest one order dishes not sold at take outs such as shellfishes, lobsters etc. plus it is more professionally cooked/presented too.
I won't go into the pros/cons of all the dishes we had there as they're all nice, just see may pics below. EZ Parking too...
This is my dad’s go to for yum char! We went early at 11.30am on a Wednesday, by about midday it was starting to get very busy even though it’s a large restaurant with loads of tables. Service is efficient & friendly. We got our yum char fix ordering pork & chive dumplings, prawn cheung fun, lo mai gai and egg tarts. Overall quality of food is of pretty good standard that you’d expect. Restaurant is big and spacious and not as chaotic as some other yum char places in the city. Parking is easy in Three Kings plaza.
Omg... no words. Best yum cha in Auckland for sure and quite possibly the best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Other yum cha places I've been to made you pay for tea, gave tiny portions of average food and had expensive prices, but this place is the exact opposite - they give you free tea, ice cold water, free takeaway containers, has friendly service and food is unbelievably yum and fresh with generous portion sizes. Dumplings are packed full with huge prawns and fillings. I don't think anybody would dislike the food here. The only downsides I can think of are that you may have to share a table with other people, the food is oily in general, you need to keep going to the front counter yourself if you want some cold water and there is no menu so if you don't speak Chinese then it's difficult to know what to choose when they come by with their trolleys, which can be frustrating - but most of the people there can speak some English so if we pointed to a dish they explained it for us well enough ("spinach prawn"! "Yummy!") lol. We could also get an idea of what the popular dishes were by peeking at other tables and seeing what they ordered. We ordered 9 (mostly large) dishes and it only cost us 67 dollars when we thought the bill must be at least 100. Will definitely be back. Favourites were the shu mai dumplings, custard tart and the sticky rice balls with red bean. Would definitely recommend!!
Visited here few days ago for a brunch
We didn't know which one was good since we were not given with a menu like we would in other yumcha restaurant so we kinda ordered too much. The bill came to be around $60 all together for two people but there were heaps of food left that we couldn't finish.
Food was quite good. I liked their dimsum and some other food that I don't know the name of. I would like to visit again but I am not quite confident about what they are best at. It would have been a much better experience if they provide us with a menu list.
Been here few times for yum char and the food is always pipping hot and yummy especially the dessert durian tart if you love durian. Was busy at 12.30pm today so we don't mind sharing table as well. The service was quick and the food trolley lady's was really friendly and helpful too. Will be back anytime soon.
Fabulous traditional flavors friendly staff we arrived early upon opening wasn't a hige selectuon coming from the kitchen at this time. Although it was delicious I would come a little later for more variety. Definitely will be back priced affordable for all all & all great
This place is always busy during lunch time as many Asian locals come here for yumcha. I didn't get the chance to try all the dishes I've wanted but from the dishes we've ordered, they tasted alright. Even though some dishes like the bbq pork buns were smaller than other yumcha restaurants, the prices are reasonable (lower) for their serving sizes. Favourite of the day for me was the steamed squid as some restaurants don't make them anymore, so it was quite nice for me to eat it again. The service was good considering how busy it was and everything seems to be made fresh - probably prepared very early in the morning. $50 for two is ideal.

Delicious food here. You can't miss it. I went to Lucky Fortune last Sunday for dinner ordered 3 dishes including fried rice,BBQ duck, deep fried squid.
Out of all the Yum Cha's I been this one is pretty good, food is good especially the chicken feet and prawn dimsum. The negative side of this is its always busy from early morning till noon, sharing a table with customers is a bit awkward and the service is okay. Pretty hard to pick your food if your in the middle of two families. Recommend booking a table.
Have often seen how busy it is here, full to brimming on the weekend for Yum Cha. We came on a weeknight, still busy and had a really lovely meal - Tea is good - picture menu, and REALLY large portions ... We ordered far more than we could eat - pork in peking sauce, salt and pepper chicken, corn and chicken soup, wontons and spring rolls - they are obviously experienced with people over ordering, as the little takeaway boxes sit up on the bar near the cash register, so you can sort a 'doggy bag' out!! Boys ate the leftovers for breakfast!!! Definitely be back.
Came here couple days ago, it's close to my home, so I come to here often. The food is quite nice, service is Okay too.i would definitely come here again:)
Come here quite often with my mum. It's a very busy restaurant, so I recommend booking before going, if you do not want to share tables with others. The food is really good and the restaurant is very clean. The staff are nice and the it is at a decent price range. Would definitely come back to this restaurant.
Came here this afternoon with a friend and had a lovely Yum Cha experience. All the mains were good but the highlight were the ice cream balls. They beat Grand Harbours hands down! Service was really good for a Yum Cha and the place was very clean. Total bill came to $26 for 2
Fantastic food and great service. Yumcha was absolutely delicious and I found the service very efficient and staff were friendly. Nice food variety
Not a huge fan of seafood but it was good food experiencing. I came here with a group of friends and my teacher, we had Yum Cha and would say that the food was alright. Customer service was really good and I did enjoy the egg tart. I had a good time at the restaurant.
Came here for yum cha around 12:30pm which was a very busy time for them. They didn't have a table for two at the time although they offered us the option to share a larger table with other guests. We decided against that as the wait for a smaller table was not long.
Service was quick after we were seated and the staff didn't try to push food onto our table as some other yum cha restaurants do. Range of food was okay although the staff said that coming earlier was best as they run out of options near the end of lunch service. Taste wise, the flavors are not as good as other yum cha places but the price is cheaper. Would recommend the prawn dumplings and egg yolk buns out of everything we tried.
Always a great feed at lucky fortune. The yum Cha service is efficient, friendly and delicious. You may need to wait for a table but it won't take long. Once you are seated, unlike many other restaurant, the yam Cha food carts come to your table within minutes! Love their quick attentive service.
Went for Chinese New Year banquet and enjoyed the meal as a whole. The best dish was pork cutlet in plum sauce. The disappointing dish was Peking duck. The pancakes were doughy and cold, the spring onions were stringy. The rest of the duck came out on a plate rather than being serve as a stir fry main dish. I would also really appreciate the kitchen staff being taught how to clear the tables without clanking all the dishes. Extremely noisy and rough. :(
Excellent food and service! We have been coming here for years since they first opened and always enjoyed the friendly service and yummy food.
Often comes to this restaurant for yum cha due to friendly service, always availability of food, lots of range, good parking area and taste is quite ok. This place is always busy and only give 45mins to 1 hour to consume.
Here are my ratings:
food - taste: 8/10

This Chinese restaurant is very affordable and the staff they are very friendly too they have extremely good service and the food is amazing. The foods that we ordered were nice and hot so we know there are cook when order. This restaurant location is very convenient outside the restaurant you can easily find a lot of car parks. Restaurant is nice and chilling not humid and it is clean.
Not too bad for yum cha.Great size dishes though.I wanted yum cha to take home but was not allowed and they had another menu for takeaway so I had to sit down and choose what I wanted and then put them in a take home container.
Looking for a good authentic Chinese meal which decent portion sizes with free and convenient parking? why not head to Lucky Fortune Restaurant. I was certainly impressed with the food, initially having doubts. Like usual, we tend to over order, not expecting the portion sizes to be as big as they were.
Check out my website for details of what we had ordered.
Lucky fortune's yum cha is great, many choices and great service. The restaurant also has a private dinning area that sits 20+ people but make sure you ask for that when you booked. The place would be much nicer with some renovation as most of the decoration chair and wall look quite old.
A spacious restaurant with plenty of tables and seats, huge parking lot - convenient for car parking.
Came here a few nights ago, we ordered the deep fried pork intestines, prawn balls, secret recipe tofu and snow peas and beef stir fry.
For a Chinese restaurant, the service was relatively impeccable. One of the waiters was a little oblivious to everything around him, he'd see us and wouldn't respond when we called him.
However the food was pretty good, the secret recipe tofu was smooth, soft and went beautifully with some white jasmine rice! The prawns were served in a savory sweet sauce over pineapple pieces, which was surprisingly incredibly delicious! The pork intestines were ok, a little cold and barely crisp when arrived at the table and it didn't taste well with the picked cucumber and carrots underneath. The snow peas maintained a slight crunch and the beef was soft and tender but not because of the way it was cooked, could taste it was mixed with baking soda to soften the meat.
Overall a decent meal for an average price!
Awesome Yum Cha restaurant in Three Kings. Lovely price with good taste and friendly service. Love all items what I have been tried there. Oops I need to achieve 140 characters.
Great place for yumcha and the food service is very quick. WIthin 2 minutes of sitting down, our table was covered with food due to the quick food trolley servers. That's how yumcha should be - all the food arriving quickly at the same time! The taste and variety of food is great. Its very busy during the weekend's peak yumcha hours i.e 11:30am to 1:30pm so try to get there early if you don't want to wait too long for a table.
Such a good find, more relaxed than some can be, very busy on Saturday.
Good food BBQ pork succulent and tasty, dumplings generous fillings and lovely flavours
A new favourite
I think this can be my second favourite yum cha place. It is big and spacious, quick service, lots of turnover of food, large servings and not too salty! They are also generous with the fillings for their dumpling etc.
The best thing I've tried is their crispy prawn rice roll. Most amazing!
Curried fish ball taste really homemade and the Siew Mai is huge.
Going home, I didn't feel too thirsty so maybe no msg?! Or less salt which is a great plus!
Went to Lucky Fortune on a weekday for Lunch. It was great and I was really surprised. The Yum Cha restaurants I have been to so far, people haven't been so hospitable and friendly. But here at Lucky Restaurant everyone was so friendly and smiley. There was a great range of food and everything tasted beautiful. I usually only order dumplings and they were well cooked with great flavours.Great service, great food I will sure be visiting again and recommending people here! Thanks
One of the few Chinese yum cha places that actually offers great food and good value. It is a popular place and once you try it, you'll definitely see why.

Finally got to check this place out last month after wanting to for over a year but sadly a lot of my friends don't dig Chinese food so thats why it took so long even though it is just half a k from where I live! Great place SO busy lovely staff hot meals great variety I advise you book as can get huge cues!
Went here on a busy weekend. Great yumcha with a wide selection. Quick service too; the waiters come around very often with new foods every minute. Spent over $60 between two people for brunch which is a bit on the pricy side. Will definitely come back for special occasions though.
Came here with 3 other people last Sunday for yum cha. The restaurant was heaving, but we were lucky to be seated promptly. I'm unsure whether they take bookings, but if they do I would advise you make one, because about 20mins later there was this humungous queue. When you're seated they put the time on your docket - the staff then watch you and once you've hit that hour mark there seems to be an unspoken rule to move on. I found the food to be pretty tasty, nice and hot, and the flavours were delicate and not too salty! I'd come back here.

This is clearly the best Yum Char in Auckland. The staff are cheerful and willing to talk to you and explain what's on offer and they smile whilst talking to you. Every single one of the waitresses was willing to explain what they had on their cart and smiled and described the dish. Love, it despite a 40 minute wait on a cold windy and wet winter Sunday Auckland morning.
Been here multiple times for yum Cha lunch and love it! So delicious. Would definitely recommend. Always really packed which is a good sign! Food always comes really fast. Staff really nice and helpful!
Lucky fortune restaurant is really good for big groups.
The portions for the price and quantity are really good.
It's really yummy Cantonese food and good location with lots of parking!!
Very popular and busy place. Staff are courteous and attentive when it's not hectic. The food is well prepared and tasty. Be prepared to share tables if you come in twos or threes - not a problem with me, though.
Super popular, so gets quite busy quickly. But understandably, food is absolutely delicious, super hot and fresh great variety and has plenty of tables for large parties, food is offered as soon as you take a seat, super fast service. Cannot wait to come back again soon :)
Super busy on Sunday when we went, but even though there was a mini line, it wadn't long until we were seated.
The service was good. The food was also very food, fresh and came around very quickly. There was a decent variety.
We spent just over an hour there for yumcha. I would say this restaurant definitely has potential and the pricing was also pretty decent.
Large two table dinner excellent cantonese cuisine. Possibly best canto food in Auckland and at reasonable prices. Vegetables call Gai Lan were fresh and crisp when most use older veges. Steam blue cod was fresh, sweet and sour pork was actual meat not fatty pieces. Couldn't fault any dish. Roast peking duck in wrappers roast chicken had crispy skin and tender and juicy. Yep had to force myself to stop eating by placing my chopsticks beyond reach. They have a side room for more private functions of say 50 people but the main dining area is expansive and presentable. Service is good and staff dont look exhausted or disinterested. Some chatted and laughed amongst themselves so I get the impression this is a well managed establishment.

We visit here all the time and the food and service never disappoints. The staff are friendly, the food is fresh and you can be in and out in 30 minutes. Not to mention this would have to be one cheapest yum cha's in Auckland.
Had a very good meal on a Sunday evening.
Staff very attentive and helpful.
After an entree shared between two the two main dishes
were more than ample, I can see why so many other customers
took away doggy bags.
The Prawn Wonton entree came with a very nice sweet dipping sauce.
The only thing I missed was some dipping saucers of Soy Sauce and Chili Oil so we can adjust the seasoning and heat
as we like.
I am sure it would have been available had I asked.
The prices were very good, food excellent and more than ample in quantity.
Will be back again.
I enjoyed my experience having yum cha on a busy Sunday at Lucky Fortune. The place is bright and big, and full with people. They have attentive staff with the carts full of goodies always passing by and offering foods -- even when you're basically by the end of your meal. The downside is, as usual some of the staff have bad English command; few even insisted speaking to me in Mandarin even though I've stated I couldn't speak it, kept repeating and by the end left with a puzzled look, something that really annoyed me because I simply just didn't understand!
I personally enjoyed their durian pancake wrap; durian and whipped cream wrapped in soft cake shell. Very addictive! Their dumplings are nothing to shout about; they taste pretty average compared to other yumcha places. But in Lucky Fortune their dishes vary therefore you have more choices; for example we had two different type of sauces for tripe and chicken feet only; countless of deep fried goodness, etc. Their egg tart is pretty good and I highly recommended the cheong fan and sticky rice.
Lunch was very cheap, it was a big group of us so we ordered heaps, and we only had to pay $18 each. We were very surprised indeed!
superb food, service and atmosphere for our 220 guests on Saturday May 10 - highly recommended
One of the best Yum Cha I have had so far. Portion size very good and price compatible. Friendly staff and good service. Going back again today. Will definitely recommend to all friends and family.
Came on a Sunday night at 6.30pm and the restaurant was starting to get full. It pays to order early, as we waited more than 30 mins for the first dish to be served. They do provide you with an entre soup and dessert after dinner. The portions are massive, hence the price. Great taste but service could be faster
We decided to try this place out for yum cha as none of us had tried it before. The place was quite big but it was also quite full. We came at 1200 and didn't have to wait too long for a table.
They roll around the different carts with the different goodies on them. What I quite liked was a combination dumpling basket which had seven different dumplings on it. I also quite liked the stir fried glutinous rice. They had a decent selection of items and there was quite a nice variety. I did find the taro puff to have more taro than other places. Out of all the dishes we tried, I think only the fried squid wasn't as good as other places.
It was a great place for yum cha. There is plenty of parking, but the area right outside the restaurant did get full. Definitely a good place to go if you are in the area or not.
The dim sum variety and options were great. Nice plump dumplings. The char kuey teow was clumpy and cold so would not recommend. The service was great, fast and efficient. All the trolleys come to you straight away. You basically get a table of food as soon as you sit down.
Very nice food and service. Price is reasonable and affordable. Highly recommended.
Update; Excellent customer service, the staff are all super kind and helpful!
I'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to venture out and try most if not all of their yum cha menu!!!
However soon after there
wasn't much variety in terms of the dishes being served, only dumplings seemed to be carted around. That was unfortunate as I definitely did not feel like I had enough to eat!
The food it was delicious but the ladies that goes around the tables to offer you the food are too angry it was my first time trying these food and they were quite rude, this is the first time I had this type of experience not everyone knows about this food if we ask it's because we want to try
Good yum cha. Large portions. Can get quite busy during weekend lunches.
Dinner time can be busy. Again large portions aimed for large groups. Nice food.
Enjoyed a nice dinner here a couple of nights ago. We ordered the Peking duck, as a comparison. Duck was great, wrappers not so much.
If you want great yumcha in Auckland, New Zealand then this is the place to go. The food is authentic, excellent taste and great value. Food is served quickly and of great variety. How do you know if a Chinese restaurant is good? By the number of Asians that go there. We came early (close to opening time) so we were able to be seated quickly. If you plan to arrive after after 11:30 AM, I suggest you make a booking.
Have been to this restaurant many times for yum cha and dinner. It's a big restaurant, spacious and comfortable sittings. It's pleasantly decorated and the service is friendly and prompt. The food is tasty and the portion is reasonable. There are plenty of parking. If you like yum cha and fancy Cantonese dishes don't miss this place. Recommended
Pork intestines and prawn toast were the highlights for sure, great flavour/texture and size respectively!
Beef tendons and egg tarts weren't bad but maybe a little bit below average?
All other dishes were fine~
Unfortunately we didn't see any sesame balls :(
But that might have just been on the day.
This place is popular for a reason? Luckily we booked for lunch on a Sunday...
Prices were slightly cheaper than most places in Auckland which is a plus!
