Got the spicy chicken pizza and fish and chips. Both were delicious, especially the pizza. Service was super good, and super friendly. The meal was very homely and filling. 10/10 would go again.
Fast and friendly service. I loved the gherkin-laden mustard sauce on the burger and SUPER CRUNCHY fries. Had this to go one time, and it was still very nice when I got to eat it.
We were here for the American Express August deal - $25/p for 2 plates + a glass of Church Road Winery wine. It seemed that there weren't too many customers for the weekday lunches. We chose the chilli salted squids, poutine fries with cheese & gravy, steamed pulled pork buns & braised beef brisket sliders. I just loved the squids. All the others were good too, but the squids were really outstanding.

First visit to Vikki Lane. Busy but not full at 6:30. We were seated in the boardroom. Service quick and friendly. The poutine had the most cheese I have ever seen on a poutine in NZ and tasted great. The whiskey BBQ pork ribs were great. We will be back.
Came here for a work lunch today because it’s right next to my workplace. I ordered the beef burger, which comes with a generous serving of tater tots for $20. The burger patty was done medium and it’s definitely a generous thick beef patty.
The tater tots were deep fried perfectly.
I asked for the burger to be cut in half because it’s quite big. You will unlikely be hungry after this plate.
Unfortunately they don’t have many options, as a large portion are smaller shared dishes.
The service was great and food came out fast.
The lighting was a bit dark and the decor was average but apart from that it’s a good place for a lunch.
Vikki lane bar and kitchen had great service and is a really cosy place. It has great drinks specials for happy hour.
Food was amazing, really good, fresh and flavoursome. Harissa pumpkin was delicious.
Beef short ribs delicious. fried squid was nice and crisp. Porcini mushroom and pea risotto was good too. Fish tacos were fresh and had lots of flavour. We also had a ice coffee and a chai latte.
Would definitely come back for lunch, dinner or drinks.
Had a great dinner. Enjoyed 4 sharing plates for 2 of us. #yum Pics are the pumpkin #amazing and brocolinni #tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to really be enjoying their jobs.
Was too full to try much but I got the fried prawn and ginger dumplings which were really good but at $10 for 5 pieces, it’s definitely not for the hungry person! I liked how their bar menu had a different special each day and the Friday fish and chips looked good. I may come back sometime in the distant future.
Visited this place on Friday night for dinner. It’s quite busy but the customer service and atmosphere were good. I really like how they have a board for special and the waitress bring the board and set it up next to you. My girlfriend and I ordered vegetarian risotto ball, fish of the day and vegetarian risotto. The portion size were generous, but taste just okay.

Had dinner with friends the other night. Its a bustling place outside but nice and quiter / chilled inside for dinner which was great . there is a good selection of reasonably prices food options . the main menu dishes were good generous portions . I had the special which was slightly smaller ,all the dishes were very tasty and good nothing special but well done simple dishes . there is a decent bar menu too. Staff were attentive and friendly overall a nice dinner
Good option for grabbing a coffee... Priced right and nice cheerful staff.
Would like to try them for lunch sometime.
Not sure if they have vegetarian options available or not.
For Restaurant Month my friends and I decided to try this place out. It's a bit hidden but there is signage. The place has a rustic vibe to it. There were 3 options for the entree and mains and because there were 3 of us, we chose all 3 options and shared it. I enjoyed the chicken Kiev and the chocolate brownie. The food overall was ok, pretty standard bar food. My friends enjoyed the fish fillet, saying it was fresh. I think I would go here for drinks after work instead.
We went here for dinner and ordered the scallops with prosciutto as a starter and they are superb! We end up ordering another set for this. For main we had pork belly which is cooked so well that it is crispy on the outside and soft and tender inside ✅ My partner had Salmon which is not what we expected but taste alright for the price and then brownie for a dessert. The restaurant is a good place to chill out after work, the only thing would be additional selections on dessert.
Been here a few times now. Service is great and staff are friendly. I would recommend the pork belly. I order every time its quite tasty and it comes with mashed potato as well as some veges. The brownie is pretty good too-it's not too sweet and it comes with ice cream. It's a nice place for.dinner
Went here for lunch with some friends. The location is decent and they had a number of specials on at the time. I have to say they have some of the most uncomfortable seats.
The food itself was hit and miss. The lamb fillet I ordered was really tender and delicious. My friend ordered the sausages which were terrible. The sausages themselves were alright but they came drenched in mint sauce (which is the kind you get in a bottle in the supermarket) which totally killed the taste of the meat.
Formerly Wine Loft on Shortland Street, Vikki Lane had relocated mid year down a stylish laneway on Victoria Street West. A bit out of the way for some but perfect for afterwork drinks or meals for those who work around the Spark office block. The menu features mainly gastropub food, although the ambience of the inner dining room does cater for more elaborate sit down dinners. At first I thought we’d struggle to get the attention of the staff because of the seclusion but they were friendly and prompt.

I have such fond memories of the Wine Loft on Shortland Street back when it was still open. It was a place where my friends and I would spend our Saturday nights when we thought we were too cool to go to a pub. Fast forward to 2016 and Wine Loft is now Vikki Lane Bar and Kitchen and at a new site in Victoria Street West in Auckland CBD.

Overall, I think Vikki Lane Bar & Kitchen is a really nice place hidden away in the city. The small plates and terrine dessert are particularly amazing. Also, definitely get crushed potatoes, which are like chunky mashed potatoes, as those were stellar.
Met a friend for drinks and ended up having dinner here.
Service was attentive and friendly. Their cocktails are not too bad, although recently I feel I would rather pay more to have cocktails at a cocktail bar. I had the lamb shank which is what I have been craving recently with the cold winter weather.
It was delicious. It seemed very homecooked which I like. Ended up having the spiced ginger cake for dessert which was lovely too.
I also saw them serve pizzas which looked and smelled delicious!
Visited after work tonight with a group of colleagues. They greeted us at the door and then we worked our way indoors to a table. Service was prompt and friendly, and they have an extensive wine list. They brought the bottles and glasses out to pour, which was good, so you got to see where it's coming from. I had a glass of Rose - cannot recall the name; was the cheapest by the glass option available - and wasn't particularly good, but was probably just the selection! Had a bowl of chips with sauce and aioli dip, and they were crunchy and well cooked, none burnt.
Will come back a few more Friday nights and review more in future.
Edit - come here for breakfast and coffee too! Their sausage & egg sarnie is delicious and they do a great coffee. If they had a regular customer coffee card I would come very morning instead of going to Elk.
Love this place, went a couple of days after they opened and it has a great vibe and is a nice place to relax for an after work drink. Thoroughly recommend you give it a go.
This is a great place to eat, drink or just grab a coffee. They do lunches or drinks after work and even have a room for business meetings. The staff are really friendly and helpful and they even remember what you like to drink. I also like that they will serve nibbles to your table, so I consider them to be responsible hosts. You can even open a bar tab so that you can simply settle your bill at the end of your night.
It is a good time for drinking!
Asahi draught is amazing!
Amazing food! We went here for dinner last night. It's a bit hard to find but definitely worth the effort. Delicious scallops, amazing venison sausage and really nice pork belly. I was very impressed with every main. We will definitely be back! :)
A great place to enjoy a quiet drink after work with good beer and wine options and tasty small and large plates. Spent many a night out starting from here after work. The staff are super friendly and there are plenty of options. It's a nice secluded spot with inside and covered outdoor options, lots of radio people frequent this spot too so usually lots of fun
Seriously brilliant wine selection! They have these categories - bubbles, cocktails, Red Wine, White Wine, Rose, Stickies, Port, Beer, Cider and even low alcohol! And food and nibbles to match. Our work local - just downstairs so really handy. Hard to find if you don't know where it is so if you've walked up Victoria St West to Nelson St and walked past Pita Pitt - you've gone too far.
The platter we had was delicious, simple and totally yummy. I tried some of their Frose and it was devine, quite different to others I have had. The service was great and the staff are so friendly. Totally worth a visit after work one day.
Had dinner with my husband, booking through First Table. 7pm booking and the food was fantastic!! Shared a few plates and each of them were Yum!!! Lamb Shank 👌
Hadn't been here before, was pleasantly surprised. Honesty box cider on tap, good prices, and excellent food. Would return.
I was there for a function which overwhelmed the venue, but it's a lovely location, and well set up for long summer evenings. I'll definitely return on a quieter night.
Great place to come for food and drink. Then on top of that you have Graham and David who are hilarious and simply awesome people that make every visit a unique experience
Good food, excellent selection of drinks and the owners are awesome! Highly recommended! 5* :)
Good little place for lunch. Nice burgers, and really well-priced for city centre. Friendly staff too!
Great coffee and the staff are lovely haven't tried the food but impressed with the alcohol selection...
