We were walking though town when we came up to Bohemein. I had big a jafa cupcake. It was delicious! The cream was jafa\orange flavour. The cake it self was very fresh and chocolaty. The salesperson was very nice and explained what different flavours were.
The best hot chocolate I've ever had was in Shanghai. I used to crave it a lot and nothing in Auckland has compared, until now.
Miann's hot chocolate was quite the disappointment, even with the price tag but this.
Oh my God.
I get the 70% Chocolate with the hazelnut praline and I gotta tell you, it's utterly divine.
My favourite Auckland chocolate store.
Staff are lovely. And the gift packaging is gorgeous.
Great selection of delicious chocolate and not overly sweet. Has the best reward card ever!
The hot chocolates are the best. You can choose your cocoa ratio and then add flavorings. My favourite combos are raspberry and chili, cardamom and chili or cardamom and praline or chili and praline. Us they give you a little piece of praline with every chocolate.
They also sell ice cream and coffee but I haven't tried it.
There is nowhere to sit in the store and enjoy your purchases but that is a small quibble.
Came to buy some chocolate but discovered they sell icecream also!
❤️: chocolate flavour was really strong (of course because they are specialist in chocolate!) staff are really nice. Chocolate came in different shapes and I had a hard time choosing it. They have dinosaur-shaped chocolate too!
😑: none! They need more recognition!!
I already heard about the Bohemein but this was my first time.
Very nice shop with all sorts of chocolates and flavours and let me tell you guys...they are AMAZING
Valentine's gift for the mrs, it looked really good and she shared a couple with me which tasted really good too. Friendly service and a nice looking shop.
My boyfriend bought me a box of Bohemein chocolates for our first valentine and it was one of the best chocolates I have ever tasted. I will definitely buy heaps of chocolate from this store again for myself in the future♡
The hot chocolate was really rich and they give a tiny sample of the chocolate you picked along with it. Clean and tidy place, but not much of space to sit and enjoy. But this is a must try for all cafe-holics.
This little chocolate shop is a bit easy to walk past and miss but is a place worth visiting.
Went there specially to try the gelato and was not disappointed.
I had the Sea Salt Caramel gelato and it was definitely worth the visit.
The texture of the gelato was on the softer side, so think of it as more of a soft serve gelato.
Their options for toppings and sauces are AMAZING! And are ones you don't see much anywhere else. I chose the candied hazelnuts, and creme caramel sauce, both of which I though complemented the gelato very well, adding roasted crunch and toffee sweetness to the salty caramel gelato. Price was very decent too! My serving costed $3.60 for a single scoop with 2 toppings.
Aside from the gelato, the store specialises in a wide range of unique flavoured chocolates, all of which I am very looking forward to trying out in the future.
Friendly service, and clean environment, with few seating areas outside.
Excellent service and beautiful store. Very spacious and lots of room to browse. They sell a variety of individual chocolates, packaged items and specially made gelato's and sorbet's.
Tried the salted caramel, amaretto truffle and wasabi cream as well as the dark chocolate, milk chocolate and salted caramel gelato. Their icecreams are based off the flavours of their chocolates and some of the best gelato I've had in Akld. Very creamy and solid - rivals Giapo's icecream I think!
Salted caramel flavours were very good - super salty (in a good way) and not too subtle like some places. Wasabi cream was a let down, not enough of a hit.
The choccies were priced at approx $1.80 a piece for most with a large variety of flavours. The ones I tried weren't rich enough for me and compared to some other specialised chocolates I've tried - but I'd go back to try more.
Fabulous selection of premium chocolate with loads to choose from. Be sure to talk to the friendly team, try the samples, and don't walk past the in-house creations, changing all the time. Hazelnut dark chocolate sea salt and caramel log when I was there today. Delicious. See picture of a rye flour cookie, launched today, which was an incredible baking feat. No time for the legendary hot chocolate but will be back!
Awesome chocolate selections and very friendly and approachable staff. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and asked if I like a tour of the chocolates they have. Great that they were flexible in the number of chocolates that I can select and bought a few!
Such a fantastic team and absolutely delicious specialty chocolate. My favourite place to go for hot chocolates in Auckland. My go-to order is a milk hot chocolate with a raspberry shot (they use real freeze dried raspberry for the flavour). Five stars from me!
Such incredible and welcoming staff. Samples were offered, the chocolate was rich and delicious! Ended up ordering a hot chocolate which was made promptly and had an incredible dark chocolate flavour. Big shoutout to Pam and Nicholas who were so helpful. I will definitely be returning for Christmas presents!
Congrats on opening your dream chocolate factory, Byron! I dropped by yesterday and tried your 70% cocoa hazelnut hot chocolate and was given a homemade fine chocolate sample for tasting. The texture was exceptional! Ultra smooth and with a distinctive sea salt flavor. When I sat outside with my hot chocolate, I noticed your amazing staff Nicolas expertly guided other customers through their extensive chocolate selection. The open kitchen view allows us to see the great attention to detail and precision in their chocolate-making process, adding visual sensation to the whole experience. Personally, I would prefer the branding to feel a little warmer. But for those that truly care about chocolate quality, Cocoa Wilds is a must-visiit!
Best place for chocolates in Auckland!!
The store is a modern and elegant place with a variety of high-quality chocolates made in New Zealand. The service was empathetic and helpful toward me, supporting me in getting a gift for a loved one. In regard to the products, it was just perfect, I got a box of 24 chocolates for my boyfriend to celebrate our first date anniversary and he loved it. I also got myself a hot chocolate with hazelnuts that was the best I had in a while.
I knew I’d be able to get delicious chocolate but didn’t expect amazing hot chocolates too. I so love a dark hot chocolate. Hard to find. Great to sip as you shop. Choosing which chocolate is the hard part but the staff recommendations were excellent.
Had the best experience at Cocoa Wilds!! The store is welcoming with a beautiful fit out and the staff were super friendly. Most importantly the chocolate was DELICIOUS! And the coffee was great too. I can’t wait to get back in and buy some of their new flavoured choc bars 😋
The place has a really cool vibe, super cozy. The chocolates? Amazing! So flavorful and the coffee was great too. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely a must visit for chocolate lovers!

As a European I've been on the lookout for excellent quality chocolate since moving to NZ two years ago.
This stuff is amazing.
The intensity of the flavour from the fresh ingredients is top notch.
Thoroughly recommended!
