everying is good, especially chicken katsu don is soooo delicious by the way sushi train all plates are same price 3.9nzd,reasonable and worthy it,i will come again.
My favourite Japanese restaurant. The sushi rice taste very good and the staff are so friendly. And salmon here is very fresh. The price is also reasonable.
Walked pass this place on Sat. The restaurant wasn't full so we got seats straight away. This is my first sushi train experience so everything appealed great to me. Food was nice. Salmon sashimi was really fresh. Price per plate is from $2.8 to $7.2. My dad had a light beer and small udon and we shared 8 dishes. The total bill was $56.5 which I think is reasonable.
We went here for a date night and it was so lovely. Friendly staff, easy, comfortable seating, reasonable prices, fresh food with many options. Would go again.
Quiet good sushi and service! I like this kind of style. The sushi is not that expensive when you compare with other takeaway shop which selling about single pieces of sushi( like salmon nigiri other shop is around $2.20 for each and sushi factory is only 2 for $3.90, sushi roll is $1.40 for each piece and sushi factory only 2 for $2.20or$2.50 with huge ingredients inside. And also others). This shop also gives perfect environment for customers to sit down and enjoy. I'm the regular of this shop and will continually come!
Authentic food.. awesome sushi.. Highly recommend to try out this place. This is under new management. I will definitely come back. Keep up the good work guys.
Visited there for dinner with a $12.00 for $ 20.00 Grabo*e voucher. That means I can get roughly 40% off. Grabbed 4 sushi and 1 pickled ginger for $22.50 in total. High price effective. Taste was average level, but waitress was really nice.
Quiet sushi train style restaurant. Although the flavour is on point, I have to say their sushi items are quite expensive. The pieces are quite small and even ginger costed $0.50 per plate...I also ordered a katsu don, which is reasonably priced at $12. It's the my first time trying a fish one and it tasted pretty nice and fresh. But I reckon katsu dons are generally done quite well at Auckland Japanese food eateries.
I won't come back again unless they have something on offer that the other sushi train places don't.
Came here for a work lunch. We ordered the salmon and sauce katsu bentonite box. At $22 each they are on the higher end of sushi places. This is compared to the $12 box from food alley. Although the salmon was fresher and higher quality it wasn't worth the $10 difference. This place is good for a lunch date if your banter is somewhat lacking....where you can chat over your food revolving around the carousel.
Wide variety of dishes but of course if you're starving, it's easy to accumulate lots of plates of food and each dish has a price according to the pattern on the plate. They have a display for this which helps to know how much your bill will be at the end of the meal. Unless you don't mind paying a huge bill, I would only recommend when you're wanting a light meal.
Delicious fresh sushi and sashimi, plenty to choose from and good service. Good menu to order from if you don't want sushi train too.
Sushi were served on conveyer belt and you just need to take whatever you like to your table and enjoy it.
I had some sushi and ordered the deluxe set which came with a small bowl of udon soup and few seafood sashimi and sushi.
The prices were reasonable and food was fresh.
This was my first ever time at sushi train so I was pretty excited and it didn't disappoint. I had a $20 voucher and from that I got pretty full so I would say it's pretty good value for money.
The items were nice and fresh and hadn't been going round and round for a long time so that was good because off sushi is not good!
I liked how there were clear pictures of the plate pricing and menus with pictures so you could clearly see what you were eating which is perfect for newbies!
Such a great idea, who doesn't love a sushi train :-) Perfect for the owners as well, since you just keep on taking those plates and before you know it you have a stack 14 deep. The pricing is by the plate colours, but who keeps track of that. There were some interesting concoctions weaving their way past us, that would even impress the most jaded professional diner, but for us unqualified amateurs we had a field day. The outside of the facility is nondescript and it was just by luck we realised what it was, but inside it relaxes and the team are professional.
I came here once after uni as I was in search for some healthy Japanese food. I ordered two dishes for myself (my eyes were differently bigger than my stomach).
Although I have had better in the past, I enjoyed the chicken teriyaki donburi dish. The udon noodles were also delicious.
Definitely a good place to visit during lunch breaks.
This is my place when I CAN'T WAIT MORE to eat! 🍣
They have Sushi Rolls , Miso, Platters, Set menu, Udon and Donburi. Is the perfect place when you are so hungry or in a hurry because they have this type of belt that rotate with plates all ready to take and eat.. 👅! This place save me a lot of times when I am in a hurry looking for something healthy to eat. Staff is friendly and they have some tables outside as well.
They have also a Menu in case you want something more elaborated and Wine and beers.
Mommy friendly :? Is a small place no space for trolley.

A wonderful place to have some different kind of sushi. Yummy food made in front of you with open kitchen. Really careful staff and service.
Fabulous food, friendly attentive staff. I highly recommend the Vegetable Tempura Udon.............I just have to keep going back for it. Ohhh, and the Green Tea Icecream is an excellent finish to a meal. You will not be disappointed.
Great food and customer service! Exciting to see the food plates moving on the conveyor and no need to wait for the food to be served. So many different choices to choose from and one of the best sushi restaurants that I have been to. Definitely going again soon!
Tucked into the by lanes of the busy Queen Street, Sushi Factory is a must for any Japanese food lover. I went here on a mid-bust Thursday night. Loved the concept. Colored food plates determine the value of the food you eat. Each plate is covered with a food protector which ensures hygiene. You can either pick the plates from the conveyor or order from the menu. My suggestion would be to try both. Great for an informal get together/ after work drinks and snacks. The drinks menu consisted of Japanese beer and the usual non alcoholic drinks. The place is not overtly pricy. The staff is superb. Very polite and friendly.
Tasty and various options. For those who like to taste different Sushi, it's just the right place. The price is ok but a little bit expensive. However that depends on what kind of plate you've chosen and how many you have eaten. We had some vouchers bought from Grabone so it's not that expensive anyway.
want a nice place to have sushi go for this one! I come here every now and than on lunch breaks or after work. amazing sushi and the service is lovely. have to try it!
Food is definitely amazing. I would highly recommend to all sushi lovers.
The only room for improvement is labeling on the sushi that moves along the belt. Apart form that ? love it!
first Japanese dinner in NZ is not as expensive as we expected. Spending NZ$22 on a sashimi bento with sashimi, tempura, cold rice, nigiri, and salad is fairly reasonable, although the portion is not for heavy eater.
Lovely staff, so pleasant and attentive. I had never been to a sushi restaurant before so it was fun watching the sushi plates rotate on a belt. I'm a very heavy eater so I ate to my hearts content at this place, when it came to the bill it wasn't as much as I expected which was freaking awesome. Even though it was busy with groups of customers coming in and out, it didn't feel that way at all. The restaurant remained peacefully quiet and serene in a sort of Zen way. I've gotta hand it to the staff, there were only 4 staff on site and they did a great job at containing the groups of customers making sure they didn't disturb the other diners. Try this place out, you'll love it.
We went back to the Sushi Factory recently, and everything was up to the excellent standard as before. The service was great as before, and the selection was excellent as before. What more can we say other than,we'll be back.
One of my favorite sushi places due to good ambience, location and charming staff. The only downside is that they are quite pricey- to be perfectly honest you'll get similar quality for much less at any St Pierre's sushi.
Tasty, quick and efficient. Customer service was average (we had to ask thrice for our serving of green tea). I find the prices slightly on the steep side, so not sure what's up with that... BUt i guess they pay pretty high rent for such a strategic location! lol
My favorite sushi place by far. Love the conveyor and the service. Great range of food and will make anything on request. Great price and complementary green tea :)
Good food, good service, not too expensive. Kids loved it, my daughter thought it was a bit dark, but you can sit outside in the sun.
Been here several times. Love the conveyor ^^ Friendly staff. The special taste of sushi rolls here comes from the softness of the rice blended with nice making ingredients.
Nice spot to duck into for a chill sushi fix. It’s not fine dining by any means but it was one of the first accessible conveyor belt sushi trains around the city. The staff are lovely, the sushi is fresh and the prices are reasonable.
Lots of vegetarian options, great prices and service! The plum wine was so good. Would definitely recommend
We had a very late lunch (3pm). Ordered 2 lunch boxes, fish and chicken. Very tasty and filling. Great place for a quick meal.
Small sized dishes at $5 each. Soon adds up. Tasty. Great sake.
I loved the ambience, specially the theme based factory carousel which fascinated me for some time. Loved the staff, they were warm and welcoming. Had a quick lunch here and my tummy left satisfied👌🏼
Server was incredibly hospitable and and kind, the food I found was quite affordable especially for the amount and very delicious and fresh. I loved how all dishes on the sushi train were one price as well which encourages you to have a taste of everything on offer. This is my first time and definitely not my last visiting this very personable and “homely” establishment.
Sushi was fresh but I didn't like the green tea. Not crowded
This place was excellent and delicious the only thing I didn't completely enjoy was the tuna sashimi, it just tasted like it might not have been completely fresh but overall it was still good. The sushi train is something everyone has to do of you haven't already.
Delicious sushi & Japanese food. Great service. Will be back!

Loved it! So glad we found it. Food was amazing!
Great authentic Japanese food. And the chicken served there are halal. The waitresses are very friendly and kind; which I appreciates a lot. Have been a regular for quite some time and I would definitely recommend this place.
Good fresh sushi and sushi train always a fun experience. Tables were a bit small but still enjoyable.
I loved the sushi and the fact that when I told them I had a bad reaction to meat, egg and dairy, they went out of their way to change the oil to fry my order just so I wouldn't get cross contamination. I never asked for it because cross contamination wouldn't harm me as long as it isn't too much. The lady there was very polite and kind.
Absolutely amazing! Amazed by the service, amazed by the food, amazed by the atmosphere. How many more surprises this place can bring us?! A small hidden pearl in the heart of Auckland city, offered us 100% authentic Japanese dining experience with decent price. One of the staff called YUGE is absolutely delightful. She made our experience really special. She offered us a detailed recommendation with patience and the food is certainly satisfying. I highly recommend this place. Well-done!
