Situated at a busy area, they serve good and varieties of chineese food. They also have many lunch n meal combos. Reasonable price and very good quantity. Had ordered chicken n steak Chowmein with crispy noodles. Enjoyed it completely !
I get my Singaporean Noodles from them from time to time and they are always busy. They used to be one of the top Chinese Takeaways in Auckland but I feel the standards have gone down a little over the last year but considering how popular they still are they must be doing ok ;-)

Been here countless of times. Their roast pork fried rice is very good. I normally get the half size and it is plenty for lunch. The pork is more like cha siu but they give you quite alot and it has a nice amount of fat to meat ratio to make the pork juicy. Definitely my go to place if I don't know what I want for lunch.
I've been going here for years but after the prices increased, unfortunately the fillings in the dishes became less. For example, the special fried used to be packed full of roast pork, chicken etc but now they cut the meats into tiny pieces and there's less of them. I even think the containers are smaller now. Disappointing! I'll try them one more time and if things haven't improved I won't be going back. I've been back twice recently and things are back to normal I'm happy to say! I'll become a regular again☺️
This place is one best of the European Style Chinese takeouts around. Always busy, great fresh food, large portions and friendly service.

Down in Auckland for the weekend. I've loved Chinese food for the last 40 odd years, and I haven't had a decent Chinese meal since coming to New Zealand 12 years ago. The place was absolutely packed and when we got back to the motel we noticed that the portions were huge. It was the best Chinese we've had since coming here. This place is consistently busy during peak times – mainly dinner. Being a takeaway joint in a central location there is always a queue so its worth ringing up beforehand to avoid long wait times. With all the usual asian and european dishes you'll be spoilt for choice. Love the chowmeins and the lemon chicken! Prices are pretty reasonable to feed a crowd.
Always busy popular takeout for all, the only place that frys their rice noodles to perfection and not broken up like others, good selection of Chinese dishes, deep fryups and grills everyone is familiar with.
Has the best site on Market road too, i notice that when a new business sets up shop on the site directly opposite Diamond it not last long as this is their territory.
Decided to come to this place for a change and on reading the comments. Called in and pre-ordered in advance as the queues always look significant and I was right to do so on for this meal.
Clean establishment with a combination of western and Chinese food with an army of cooks at the wok.
The food instead was decent, good portions and reasonably priced. Had the nasi goring which surprisingly was packed full of vegetables, meat with nicely cooked rice. Not the usual fair of more rice than anything else in most other places.
The sweet and sour pork was a little disappointing. Sickly sweet and full of the red colourant for the sauce. The pork itself was crispy and well cooked

Yum! My close friend regularly orders takeaways from here, and I was definitely impressed with the taste and serving size this place provided.
We had the group meal option B, which consisted of combination fried rice, chow mein, lemon chicken, 6 fried wontons, and sweet and sour pork. For feeding 4 people, it was fantastic. We were all very full by the end of our meals and thoroughly satisfied.
Showstopper: The lemon chicken was insane

Good Chinese takeaway. They do all the standard European stuff as well. Well priced. Did have to wait a while as they get very busy. Next time I would call ahead of time so it was ready when I arrived.

It's not very often you find a takeaways like Diamond takeaways. The food is delicious, the place is very nice and clean and the staff are so so friendly. It became our local very very quickly after trying a couple of other places. The only problem is finding a close parking spot because this place is so popular. Thank you diamond takeaways!
Good takeaway food at a great price point. We ordered a couple of dishes for dinner - chicken curry, ginger fish, fried rice and the tofu delight. I was surprised with the quantity and the amount of vegetables in each of the dishes. I particularly liked the chicken curry (which was quite spicy) and the ginger fish.
Definitely one of the best takeaway spots in the area.
No one comes close to fried rice from Diamond. It is just so good. Decent portions and it tastes delicious. Often busy, but that doesn't mean long waits as there are many cooks. Added bonus of being able to watch your food being cooked

Best Chinese takeaway! Serving up fresh ingredients and boxes filled to the top. Lots of chefs cooking up orders to keep waiting time low. Favourite is the diamond special fried rice. Also like their meat&vege dishes. Pity about their spring rolls being average

We had roast pork fried rice and lemon chicken last night. The fried rice was nice with big enough portion for two. The lemon chicken is a little sweet depend on personal preference. Overall very happy with the service and will go back again!

One of our regular go to takeaway stores for chinese takeaways and appears to be one of the most popular Chinese takeaway stores. They have a good selection of chinese food plus now also do a few Thai dishes, and have a team of chefs working on the orders at peak times. The ginger veg dish goes nicely with a meat dish or curry. They can also arrange home delivery if you live in the vicinity! They also do a great singaporian curry and sauce, which I recommend to add to your order for a tasty addition.

Having been going here for 10 years, never had anything wrong, phone orders are advised unless you want to wait 15/20 min's, never had an error on my order and the food is always very yummy, have tried most items on the menu and was a couple of them that weren't to my taste but others enjoyed them, definitely the best takeaway in Auckland.
I have no words, Diamond is a GREAT place, fast service, delicious food. The lemon chicken is my favorite dish of all, quickly followed by the wontons and then finally the mixed fried rice. These guys were recommended as the best Chinese takeout in Auckland, I will not disagree with that statement. (Agree with other poster that the phone line is very busy)
This is THE go - to chinese takeaway shop in Auckland. We used to order from here at least once a fortnight, especially when we had friends over for dinner and a movie nights. Since we've moved to the North Shore, we've had to find a replacement as it's too far to drive (but we have done it a couple times because we miss it that much!) Special Fried Rice, Lemon Chicken and Wontons was our usual order, and they NEVER disappoint. The food quality is excellent, portions are big, and they are usually lined up with people waiting for orders but if you are lucky enough to call it in before you go, you usually don't have to end up waiting. Unfortunately sometimes their phone line is constantly busy and you have to just go in and order at the counter. There is a reason they are so busy though, the food is delicious!
The quality of the food is very good. Phone your order through beforehand because they are BUSY. Very reasonable prices for big portions. The fried rice is not greasy and can be reheated next day for a quick lunch. Thanks Diamond, keep it up.

Every time we go here the quality of the food is amazing!! It is often quite busy and can be hard to get through on the phone but the turnaround time for their meals is quick and easy and definitely worth the wait.

Ive been going to Diamond Takeaways since 1992 and will never go to any other Chinese takeaway. Ive learnt to phone my order through first because they are ALWAYS so busy, absolute proof of the quality of their food. Right from the beginning Ive had to wait but its worth it. For me their sweet & sour pork is unbeatable, in fact Im going to get some for my dinner tonight. I have never had a bad dish from Diamond and no matter where in Auckland I live, I will always always buy from them. To anyone who have read the bad reviews, sit outside Diamond and see how many customers are spilling out the door.
Yeah these guys are real good. We would have been there 20 times in the last 2 years and is always good. These guys do half sizes of most of their main dishes as well so we often get one or two big dishes and then 3 halves to get a full gambit of tastes

Food is excellent. Our family loves good quality chinese and every time we get takeaways they are excellent. Can be relied on for good fast food. (Unlike the fish and chip shop across the road - we tried it and will never go back)

Ordered the pad Thai and wontons with sauce on Uber eats. Came nice and hot. Wonton sauce was separate (big portion) so they didn’t get soggy. Wontons were fresh and hot. Pad Thai was large and also perfect temp. Very yummy sauce. Enough for 2 hungry people. Great prices.
Diamond Takeaways has been my favourite Chinese Takeaway since I moved to the area 1995!!! I’ve long since moved away but travel because I know my meal will be a consistent 5 ⭐️ ( great variety, clean and tidy and always realistic about pick- up times )
I've used get takeouts from here every 3 weeks or so years ago, so this visit was after many years. The food tastes good though it can be a bit bland at times, as did my chicken chopsuey with soft noodles. I also got a chicken sweet and sour, I got caught out with this before, it doesn't come with rice That is fine, but I wish they would ask at the time I order if I also wanted stsamed rice to go!

Value for money Chinese takeaway. Always nicely cooked. Only issue is no adventurous dishes or provincial specials. Menu has been same for 8 plus years. But what they do, they do well...except European.
My Partner Trevor and I often buy a takeaway from Diamond takeaway as it’s always fast and super fresh ! He loves chicken fried rice extra hot with cashews and for me I love the scnapper in batter , the batter is now so crunchy and perfect thank you.
Always a favourite, and never disappointing. We love the Diamond Special chow mein and fried rice, and the sweet and sour pork is perfect every time; these three dishes are a perfect dinner for two adults and two hungry teenagers (including seconds but rarely leftovers!). Diamond is our favourite local takeaway, and the delivery option makes dinner quick and super convenient.
