Wellington turned me into a coffee snob, Melbourne proved woefully inadequate, and Auckland failed to impress. That is until I met Tea. Thank the coffee gods for Tea. She makes the only coffee I have finished in years. She is the only barista for me.
Is it the friendly staff or the epic coffee that sees me come in everyday and makes me frown when they are closed... Yup its all of the above and more... Love it!

Such a cute little cafe with nicest staff! I wouldn't say their coffee is the nicest, but their ice cream and brownies/slices are on point👌👌 The prices are really cheap too, so if you want coffee and nice dessert when you are on a small budget this place is the bomb :D

Great coffee and excellent service! What more can you ask for? If you’re looking for a reasonably priced and good quality coffee, this is your place to be. This is perfect if you’re on the go and want to grab a quick hot coffee. The staff were awesome and the outlet is very inviting even though it’s quite small. Definitely my go to coffee at the moment! 😁☕️☕️☕️

Part 1 of the quest to find good coffee around UoA campus!
I was attracted to coffix because - cheap coffee! $2.50 for a small coffee (extra shots, flavours or soy milk free) really appealed to the cheapskate student in me.
Service was very friendly, and despite what I think was the morning rush before work, the coffee didn't take long to be made.
Coffee quality was not bad. Definitely not the best I've had but it wasn't too bitter, and it was a good temperature too. Even the small size obviously provided a decent caffeine kick because while I'm writing this 3 hours later, my fingers are a little shaky and I'm definitely working with some energy. So it works guys! No need to spend the extra dollar or two for a larger size in my opinion.
In terms of value, I'd rate it quite high. $2.50 is great even for a small cup, but that small cup was powerful so good bang for your buck.
Not my favourite coffee in the universe but if you're a cheap student who needs some good caffeine then coffix is a good go-to.
The bagels here looked pretty good too. Maybe next time.

Great place to have a quick and cheaper coffee. They even got free WiFi. Note they don't accept credit cards.

one of the best coffee place ever, lady that owns it is very sweet and makes the best coffee. the other staff they have are great too.
Coffee is cheap and tasty and the service is quick and friendly. We stayed next door in hotel and the gals remembered my order everyday. Was a nice start to my morning coffee fix. Really happy with this little coffee stop simple and easy. Loved it thank you.
Barista was super nice and friendly, the coffee was made really fast. The place itself was cool too 😃
Update 03/19: Still the best place to get coffee around uni, possibly in the whole CBD. You can't beat the quality for the price!! Coffix franchises always have great prices—$2.50 small/$3.50 large, however Tea (the owner at Symonds—sorry if I got the wrong name!) makes the best coffee and is always friendly and smiling!
The owner, Tea, is the best. Remembers your order and is quick to serve everyone with not a minute lost! Wide range of dairy and non-dairy options.
Cheap, but delicious coffee with a very friendly staff. I was very confused when I walked in because they don’t have a menu on the wall to order off from, but the staff sorted me out real quick. Will be back, can’t go wrong with a $2.50 coffee!
Hands down one of the best coffee I have ever had! Affordable and the staff are super friendly makes if that much more nicer.
