I’ve ordered 3 cakes from Bluebells for 3 seperate birthdays and they have all been presented so beautifully. The first and third cake was banana and salted caramel which was a unique flavour and would probably suit people who don’t like an overly sweet cake in this case my mum. The second was a chocolate cake which was great for chocolate lovers. However the icing (outer layer) of the cakes was too sweet for my liking and I usually like sweet things. The ordering process is easy as you can sit down in store and talk to the staff about it or do it all online and calculate prices if you’re on a budget.
Friendly fast service and I really liked how even though they’re a small place they’ve got the cute outdoor area out the back which gets really nice sun!! Normal sort of price point for a cake/desert place and my friend and I both really enjoyed what we got! My only reason why I wouldn’t give it 5/5 is because even though they’re allergy friendly and have the information at the ready for you, they stack items that have nuts on them next to items that don’t which for some with deathly allergies like me defeats the purpose, meaning even thought it doesn’t have nuts in it, it’s actually touching something that does so you can’t have it regardless. While this issue doesn’t affect everyone I do think it’s important to try and keep some of the same allergens next to each other within reason 😊
Cakes are just perfect. I like the simple look and moist decadent cake filled with sumptuous filling.
The cake is not too rich because it is ganache rather than straight buttercream. Simple and elegant cake designs.
It was a beautiful red velvet cake.
The presentation was immaculate as always and makes a lovely surprise for family and friends.
The flavour of the cake was good.
All in all a great experience.
This is a cosy little cafe tucked away on a lively walkway. The decor was clean and simplistic, it felt very relaxing being inside of the cafe.
We ordered a lemon cupcake and a red velvet cupcake. The lemon curd/frosting was not too sweet and complimented the cupcake well. But the red velvet cupcake was only average, I've had better elsewhere.
Guilt free Cacao Peanut Butter Banana smoothie 😍😍 so goooddd! Their desserts are also top notch 👌 and brownie points to the friendly and welcoming staff as well

I can't say a bad thing I've only ever been twice but it's one of the cutest little stores I've been too, both times the foods been to die for and the staff have been the sweetest people, I went once at night and with all the fairy lights it was such a cute and romantic atmosphere.. I see this place going big and I will be a regular soon enough.. I've only been there twice and have had basically one of each cake..

Always manage to take away some cupcakes while passing by and it never disappoints. The place is cosy and snug and a nice place to grab a coffee and a treat. The red velvet and carrot cupcakes are my favourite. Wasn't a big fan of the raspberry ones. All in all a nice sweet fix around Takapuna

The hot chocolate was good. I loved the cakes and sweets so much!
We were there after dinner on a weekend and we occupied the place at the back of the shop, very nice and heater was turned on for us and blankets were for our use.
Not many place to sit, mostly can fit in may be 10 to 20 people.

Came here with a friend just out of curiosity, the atmosphere is so pretty and located in a calm area of Takapuna. Service is good but the seating areas are very small. The food on display looks picture perfect! Everything is over priced except for coffees etc. I ordered salted caramel banana cupcake and my friend ordered carrot cake cupcake. Both were so nice and perfect portion. Smoothie was good but I wouldn't recommend it as the best. Came here a second time and the hazelnut cheesecake caught my eye! It was $8 so very expensive. This was okay and it's not the typical hazelnut cheesecake, it's the healthy organic made out of nuts cake...I wouldn't mind it but I wish I knew because I was expecting to indulge and dig in a sweet hazelnut cheesecake, not a plain cacao tasting nut mixture. Cake is deceiving but the cupcakes are not :) would recommend for an after lunch treat! 😊💘🍰
