This was our maiden visit to Sierra cafe Three kings which is now under new mgmt-Mario & Tina..the amazing husband & wife pair running this joint from last 3 months (so pls ignore the older reviews)..With several options on the menu it’s a bruncher’s paradise! We ordered the mushroom fettuccine n the quinoa with chicken which were so well plated and presented with tiny edible flowers (pics attached) n along with it I had to have the smashed avo on fresh toast. Words cannot describe how amazing they were! They were so yummy that we were already planning for what to order or try on our next visit! Portions were good and it wasn’t too light nor too heavy and the dishes were perfectly balanced! Forgot to mention the coffees that we had as well (long black for myself n cappuccino for the missus)..The coffees were perfect! Sierra cafe Three kings know how to make a good coffee! Tina looked after us very well n made sure that we were comfortable and that we had no issues with our food.
Last but not the least we were offered yummy handmade mango & strawberry ice cream which were complimentary and that just took it to another whole new level of awesomeness!! Chef (Super) Mario has magic in his hands! We’ll be back soon!
Taken over by new owners the last 3 months. Mario and Tina. We had the entertainment vouchers so we decided to use it here. I ordered something from the daily specials menu and a flat white. The coffee was good. They have various dairy free options for your coffee (coconut, almond, soy, oat)
What I like about this place is that some of their staff members are hearing impaired. They also have books and flash cards on how to sign your order.
This sierra is nice and clean. Service nice and fast. I didn't try their food, but coffee and smoothie both taste good. Will try food next time
Why have I not reviewed this place yet? There is parking out the back, and accross the road. There is a beutiful menu with exceptional service- the lovliest people ever. Wonderful coffee. I used to love the raw salad with chicken, but as I'm vegan now, I can order it without. My father always gets the pork belly, and he says that it is the best in Auckland. A friend of mine gets pancakes almost every weekend. The bathroom has baby changing, there is a toy area and high chairs. There is lots of seating and little handles outside for dogs to be tied to. They always have lots of newspapers, and sparkling or still water. It is clean, they have plants, it is sunny.... I just don't know what else anyone could want.
Always have lovely meals there. Enjoy the smashed avo and the big breakfasts. Great coffee and hot drinks. We've always been happy with our visits.
Have given this rating mostly because of the fantastic dining experience we had through the lovely lady who greeted us behind the counter also serving us... such an attentive waitress made us feel welcome....wish there were more around like her......the food was very good too. Can see my husband and myself becoming regulars...
pricey but good portions i got the eggs bene with a side of baked beans and chai latte and the hubby got the big breakfast with a mocha .. food was quite nice and coffee was hot.. it didn't take long to arrive and they had a nice play area for my daughter
Came here with a Groupon voucher with my mum & bubs group. There's customer parking outside the cafe on the Hillsborough Rd side so that's a big tick. We were seated at big table towards the back,; the cafe is spacious and accommodated our strollers easy, another big tick. We ordered coffees, 3 x beef burgers with chips (special note: chips were cooked to perfection!) and a BLAT. All the meals were cooked very nicely. The service was fab too! Our waitress was friendly and very accommodating to one of the English ladies in our group who requested a side of vinegar with her chips. There's an indoor playroom for toddlers and a nappy changetable in the toilets. I'd recommend the staff put some deodorisers in the toilets as the smell of soiled nappies were off putting (and this is coming from a mum who deals with a lot of poo!) I really liked this cafe and I'd come back again

I popped in this afternoon late in day around 3 just by myself so I ordered quickly as I think they close at 4 got the Bruchetta so as to not hold them up to much as a quick meal to prepare.
It was great tasty warmed tomatoes toasted ciabatta lovely baldamic drizzle loads of it too yummmm and fresh basil just what I felt like thanks guys :)
Amazing place to visit. Staff are very approachable, friendly and welcoming. They make amazing coffee, drinks and one of the best chai late in Auckland. I have had several meals on the menu - Have never been dissapointed. One of my favourite dishes is the Raw Energy Salad, Pork Belly and BLAT. The food in the cabinet is amazing too. I come here quite often with my friends and family. Really reccommend this place.
We go to this cafe lots. I love the B.L.A.T. I also love the soya chai lattes they make. The customer service is always friendly and helpful. Also great for mothers with prams as it it's quite a big place.
Went here for the first time ...am a big Egg Benedict fan ..was not bad ..best was the smoked salmon in it . Service was nice and quick ...over all not a bad place to go
Went to Sierra because we actually had free coffee vouchers they had delivered to people because of the new opening. The setting is nice with a mixture of wooden old school style chairs and comfortable armchairs with a plant display wall in the middle. What I was impressed with was they offer free sparkling water along side still water. There menu was good. I ordered Poached eggs on toast and my friend ordered a Toasted Bagel with Avocado, Cream Cheese, Tomato and Pesto. So pretty standard affair but they were nice except my bread came with Butter already on it where it should come as a side. The muffin for the little one was delish though. The coffee was average so they need to work on this! But overall a nice place with good service and friendly staff.
This Cafe is more Epsom South/Three Kings than Royal Oak and is on the Corner of Mt Albert and Hillsborough Roads, and just down the road from the new Cafe on Buckley Road. They have some great meal deals and good coffee or coffee and muffin combos etc. The French Toast is worth ordering & love the their aghans too! I use my Sierra coffee card when coming here, or other Sierra cafes as it all adds up and great I can use at all Sierra cafes...
Overall a very relaxing atmosphere for a coffee and cake or meal - you can park out front or around the back (Hillsborough Rd) and use their Customer car parks.
We met friends here recently first time we'd been as I don't think it had been open long.
This is a fairly standard cafe with standard menu including cabinet food and a kitchen for breakfast/lunch. The food was excellent value, the coffee was great.
Aslo excellent are the facilities. There is a separate kids room full of toys at the end of the cafe, so our kids were all able to play while we ate and talked - all within view of us. It is also set up in a way that if you don't have kids you can sit at the front and hopefully not see or hear other peoples kids, so it is a win-win for such a small intimate cafe.
Definitely recommended if you are nearby and easy parking out the back as well.
Great consistent food.
This is a local cafe for me and the hub, and have been a handful of times for brunch and lunch in the last six month. Each time we've customised our plates and had no worries about them.
This visit, I got simple scrambled eggs on toast with a side of chorizo sausage. The eggs were cooked pretty perfectly { recently I ordered scrambled eggs from somewhere and they were rubber, gross. } Their chorizo has nice kick to it, but definitely could be cooked a tiny bit longer for more crisp around the edges, that might be a personal preference though! Delicious none-the-less. The hubby was torn on what to order and ended up going for their version of the big breakfast, swapping out mushrooms for another poached egg.
Only suggestion would be for nicer chairs as they're a little bit uncomfortable if you're sitting in them for a long time.
Each time we've been we've had a great time, the staff are friendly and accommodating. It's great to see cafes that know what their doing and do it well!

Had our coffee group here on Thursday. Had a yummy breakfast, great coffee and lovely service. Thank you.
I had the omelette here. It was really tasty. Though the menu doesn't provide informatiom about what fillings you can put inside the omelette. It came with bread and salsa. The bread was cooked well, lightly toasted with butter/oil except their salsa wasn't much of a salsa. It was chopped onion and tomatoes but the omelette made up for that. The coffee was nice no complaints there. The service was nice too. Friendly staff and well presented. I know there was a change of ownership and that some people who came regularly were upset by the change but I feel that the owners are taking the criticisms whilst making the cafe their own. It has a nice calm atmosphere.
This place did not have a great review. Looks like it now run by a chef with experience. The coffee is the normal Sierra standard but i like the other treats and sandwiches with crisp fries. What i liked is the personal touch were the family will go the extra mile to please. A 4 star is for location, ease of parking, food and friendly.
This is one of my favourite cafes in Auckland. It was recently taken over by a new owner and I was anxious because I was worried about how it might not be as good. I need not have worried. The menu is the same and the execution is at least as good, the eggs in particular were poached the best I have had in a long time! I asked for a big breakfast with 3 changes and they were very accommodating and delivered it exactly as asked. I'll be back and can highly recommend it!
Under new ownership and really doing great things. Only got a hot chocolate and some chips but everything was really good. Staff very friendly and attentive, and their wifi finally works! Great work to the new owners, keep up the great work and you will definitely get our regular business!
If you want to have the best hot chocolate in town, this is the place. I have never tasted a better hot choclate in Auckland. The place offers a good ambience and plenty of options for breakfast and lunch. The staff are well behaved and the service is very good.
Today my friend and I had lunch at Sierra Three Kings for the first time since the new owners took over. We were impressed with the friendly service and the fresh and reasonably priced food. We can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.
We took my wife's mother to lunch on Mother's day. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic and the omelets were so large my mother in law says she won't be able to eat dinner. This is my third visit and I highly recommend Sierra Cafe
I always get really nice food here, although twice I've ordered the raw energy salad & it's had different ingredients & been a different size, e.g. I ordered it takeaway & was given a much smaller portion than the time I ate it in the restaurant, which was disappointing given the price paid. We like the food here, they have good options, a kids menu, & nice healthy options. Also a kids play room & restrooms which is great. The parking is terrible though!
This was a great place for food and service. Times I had been there I noticed repeat customers. Its a shame the young maori lady left. Always smiling and she gave great service. The food is still great. Parking is around the side of the building which a lot of people travelling by might not realize
I've been slowly working my way through the menu one weekend at a time and have loved everything so far. Great coffee and smoothies, friendly and efficient staff and a nice atmosphere.
