Food was AMAZING! Waffles were soo good!! And to top it off the customer service was one of the best Ive ever had!! Thank you :) and thanks for the complementary dessert!!! I highly recommend this place!
Great people. Great food. Beautiful atmosphere. This is the best Parnell secret!!
Fantastic birthday lunch. Perfect mushrooms on toast and banana/walnut maple waffles. Faultless service.
Very nice cute place, awesome food and service
Best Waffle House in Auckland!!! Amazing Chocolate Waffles & I Love the Savoury waffle burger too
Chocolate waffles - death by chocolate!! But it is a good death!!
Friendly service, always. I usually order the chocolate waffle pictured. Sweet & filling! I’ve also tried the berry waffle which is also delicious. Would like to try their savoury menu as I’ve also heard great things about it :)
Ran into this place accidentally and was super pleasantly surprised! Was welcomed with hospitality at it's finest. A homely environment that makes you feel warm and comfortable. Delicious food, fun board games and most of all, incredible people!
Lovely spot for a catch up. Warm and cozy ambience. They have a range of tea if you prefer something healthier. They also make delicious waffles.
Extremely friendly service, the lady who runs this place is absolutely lovely!! Great customer service and very genuine.
They have a great selection of waffles and they are so delicious. Crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, served with a generous amount of fruits and ice cream 🤤.
Lovely little courtyard too, great place for date night where you can also bring your pooch along 💜
Beautiful hidden café in Parnell that sells a variety of food – from dessert to Chinese noodles, from frappuccinos to all sorts of alcoholic beverages.
I enjoy visiting when the sun is still out and sitting in their terrace rather than sitting inside, or during summer its just as nice outside when its dark having a few drinks under the stars.
Their beer and wine is relatively cheaper than other places.
One of their signature drink would be the Pistachio frappuccino and signature dessert is the Belgium waffles and/or brick toast drenched in honey. We’ve tried their Chinese beef noodles, and beef tataki while having a round of sake and it was perfect, the size is large.
Service is great - friendly and prompt.
Sometimes the owner’s dog can be seen on site, posing for the camera - so cute!
Nestled down a cozy walkway you will find the Cafe Rhythm. Inside, there are always three visitors. Pandas! I had a chocolate waffle and a hot chocolate. My waffle was delicious in every way, same with my hot chocolate.
Nice place for afternoon in Parnell Village. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They had a lovely dog on site which was cute. Unfortunately, some of the food are no longer available including Tower (my wishlist for today actually). Tried the new products Waffle Bowl and Sakura Latte. Waffle is very fluffy and tastes good. The latte feels like spring calls, fresh and sweet. Wish to see more savoury waffle.
Awesome place to spend time❤️ great food and desserts. I love the noodles so so so much. Outside has beautiful view and nice music. The customer service is great.🎈

Lovely host. Although not a lot of food selection, but there is a large variety of nice hot teas, speak to the own for hidden tea menu😉~ The baked toast was nice, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside~
Very cute cafe.
Really good desserts. Very friendly staff.
Service was also very quick. This place never disappoints. This is a must try. :)
Amazing place for some good waffles! Found this place a year ago and hadn’t been since, so decided to go again today.
The café is hidden in a courtyard style location behind chocolate boutique I believe? I love the vibe to it, and always choose to sit outside. As for the waffles, I think its a staple and what the café is most known for. The waffles are nice and crispy with loads of toppings and of course amazingly presented. Just wish the chocolate sauce was abit thicker, it seemed a little watery today and I could barely taste it 😕 but the maple syrup on the side made up for it.
Service is just as good, the ladies are kind and welcoming.
Need to try out their drinks next time!
Cute little character filled place in the centre of parnell. partner had an iced coffee and the waffle with green tea ice cream. The ice coffee was seriously good and the waffle was light and tasty and well presented. I got waffle with peanut butter which again was very good, although my flat white coffee was a bit average. Now the real winner.... they have a super cute Pomeranian that welcomes attention....which is like heaven to my gf. We'll definitely be back.
This is a true hidden gem in Parnell Village. Everything about this cafe is amazing - the views, the food and the service. We enjoyed our lunch outside in a pretty courtyard and I can say, unequivocally, that the waffles here are the best I’ve ever eaten.
Had a lovely experience, nice and calm environment for indoor and outdoor .. the chocolate waffle taste soo nice and sweet ... I would come for another visit :)
This place is a hidden waffle gem in parnell. The waffles were just divine. We got the original waffle and it was light and the crunch from the waffle was so good! I got a Sakura latte on the side it was not bad as a first experience definitely grew on me towards the end.
Adorable little cafe in Parnell with stunning scenery. Friendly and efficient staff make experience even more pleasant. Although food selection is small everything offered is done well.
Food is amazing and always well presented, have been coming to this place for almost a year now. So satisfying, great time to go is during the day to avoid long waits for food otherwise awesome service.
Such a cute little restaurant in a cute location.
It is small but they’ve got an outdoor seating area too which helps.
Presentation of the food is spot on.
I had the waffles which was nice, but not wow
We also ordered chicken salad which had really nice dressing.
The staff were friendly too

Love their foods! Love their super friendly staffs! Love their view and atmosphere and last but not least love their doggo!! Yoyo is sooooo cuteeeeeeeee😍😍😍
What a beautiful place with amazing delicacies! They have a wonderful seating area overlooking the city. The best waffle place in town! Must go!
First impression - beautiful courtyard which was amazing on such a gorgeous day. Staff was friendly, very accommodating and caring. My only hang up was that the place smelt strongly like a confusing mix of dog and chlorine, and the resident little dog (seemed very friendly) was being held / sitting on the outdoor tables which I found a bit unhygienic. If you're not into dogs, you probably won't enjoy this. Food is reasonably pricey, but not unusual for a specialty dessert place. "Gourmet waffles" were four waffle segments for $15.50. Really nice thick waffles with plenty of toppings. They were very sparing with the sauce / syrup but you can ask for more and they're happy to accommodate if you're into sauce overload :) Thanks! I really enjoyed the original waffle (seasonal fruit with a scoop of ice cream and a scoop of cream and a little bit of chocolate sauce and maple syrup). The Berry waffle was also nice but seemed to be missing the maple syrup and berry sauce or had so little I couldn't see it. Strawberries were fresh and waffle nice and crispy. Big breakfast also looked beautiful but didn't get to taste. The pistachio almond frappe was also yummy - very small for $8 and very, very mild nut flavour, more like a deliciously creamy vanilla frappe. Lemonade was also a great flavour and refreshing. Everything was served very cutely and was great to take photos of. I recommend checking this place out to get your waffle fix!
This place is a little hard to find but it's a hidden gem. The coffee and desserts are super cute and pretty. Presentation is 10/10. The staff are ok but could be more attentive and meal check with the desserts and drinks.
Absolutely amazing food! Spectacular service, lovely owners. Went here yesturday with some friends, I had the chocolate waffles which were a 10/10! Cute dog too :)
Tucked away in a corner though but definitely worth the find
Cosy atmosphere, good service and a wide variety of foods to choose from. Me and my friends decided to visit here for desserts one time and they were all quite beautiful. Everything tasted pretty good too and not too expensive for what you get.
Waffles were super delicious! Tried the chocolate and seasonal fruit waffles and pistachio drink! Sat outside on a lovely quiet table, wasn't busy at all tucked behind a few shops in Parnell! Perfect treat for my birthday brunch :) great quick service
TL;DR: Good food, but great service. Cute doggo alert! Recommended: pasta or waffles.
Came here for brunch with my mum on a sunny Sunday - here's how it went:
Food:
We ordered the Chicken pesto pasta, Eggs Benedict, some sort of flower tea (not sure what my mum ordered), and an iced coffee. Both dishes were delicious, albeit a bit heavy. The serving sizes are perfect - definitely enough to make you very full. With all the cream in the pasta, it became slightly difficult to finish it completely - the taste does get a bit repetitive, after all. Both also came out looking very appetizing (see pictures down below). Coffee was very smooth - I also liked the mug/jar that it came in. The waffles look absolutely amazing in the photos, so I will definitely try those next time.
Service:
It seemed like there were only two people manning the cafe, so service was slightly delayed. I frankly was quite impressed by the effort of the person running the front of the house as she ran around taking orders, making coffees, delivering food, clearing tables and all that. There is also an adorable doggo there, so you can kill time by petting it :)
Prices:Standard cafe prices, maybe a little above average for some dishes. For the quality of the food, I believe it's fairly worth it. In the end, our order came down to a total of approximately $42 - the person at the counter wouldn't take the $2 my mum dug out in the end, saying it was an apology for the slow service. I really appreciate the sincerity and gesture though it wasn't completely necessary.
Ambiance:
Definitely a cozy place inside. It's fairly small and warm, but it's good if you don't want to be out in the sun. The posters and signs on the wall behind the cashier are also a great laugh - take a look next time.
I simply love this place. Every time I am in Parnell I try to make it an effort to visit this place with my friends. Food is great and staff are very friendly. The soft music from the place is very relaxing and it is a great place to unwind or if you want to get away from the hustle that comes with Auckland CBD
Waffles with everything is the best thing. The service was great, the people were welcoming and the place is sooooo beautiful. Relaxing and surrounded by flowers.
Tucked in a cobblestone corner of Parnell, is cafe rhythm! This cute little cafe is home to possibly the cutest dog in Auckland 🐶. Even if you aren't a dog lover, this place is a must visit if you're a foodie - where else can you get a waffle burger in Auckland? The owner is lovely and the food is fresh. Nothing too fancy, well priced and there's always a special going to match the season. It's a quiet cafe so it's the perfect place for catching up or getting some work done 👔
This place is awesome. It has a cute interior and the outside space looks great for sunny days. The staff are friendly and helpful, they suggested to us waffle combinations and were patient while we decided! Our food arrived quickly and was all delicious. They have a little fluffy Pomeranian who is just gorgeous, she was on the chair beside our table so we had a little cuddle with her! Definitely coming back soon and would highly recommend!
A good place with peaceful music and tasty food. Had one Omelette with waffle for $16.50 and one blueberry latte for $4.00 Reasonable price with friendly service. There is a princess doggie in this cafe, very meek and lovely.
Love it! A lovely little cottage cafe tucked away in beautiful Parnell village. Enjoy delicious waffles to relaxed piano music. That and the cute presentation makes me feel like I've stepped into a Studio Ghibli film. The waffles are soul warming and delicious. The owner and staff are very friendly and the resident puppy is so sweet and cute. One of the best places for a weekend brunch with your boyfriend, or friends.
Great! The owners have a dog at the door which keeps me entertained. They use grounded cocoa beans as ash trays to take away the smell.
Lots of care put in, food is delightful... Had a meal here with zomato groupies before and everyone enjoyed their time!

This cafe is a bit hidden but worth the visit. If you're lucky you will get to pet the owners Pom and he might chill with you while you eat.
We ordered the chocolate waffle which was average. The topping wasn't overwhelming which was good but the waffle was just ok.
The mango shake that we ordered was actually yummy. I would recommend getting this especially if you're after something refreshing. Size wise though it's a bit small.
Ambience wise it's cozy and the servers are really nice.
Would like to try the rest of the menu.
Been here twice. Love their interior design. Cute and cosy. The staff are attentive and friendly. Me and my friend had waffles and coffees. Their waffles weren't the best but were pretty good.
Came in for a brunch. The place is small and quiet, quite secluded too. The menu looks good and load of waffles selection. Unfortunately we did not try the waffles because we felt like something savory.
My boyfriend got the chicken club sandwich and i got the waffle burger. The chicken burger was alright. A little stingy on the chicken breast and the side of chips were not crispy. The waffle burger was okay. It was quite simple nothing special. Again the side of chips was not crispy but soggy. I also got a rose tea, that was really good, can never go wrong with tea.
There isn't much Asian dessert Cafes here so I would say that cafe rhythm is one of the best in terms of taste, customer service, presentation and the fact that it's pet friendly. Me and my friend ordered a chocolate waffle and a garlic panne. Not only were they cooked perfectly, they were delicious!! Best chocolate waffle I've ever tasted. It's located in a very calming a relaxing area, which makes it good for students to just come and study. The only down side is that the inside of the cafe is quite dark. A bit more lighting would be nice.
Such a great place to catch up with friends and just relax. The staff are super friendly and service is always surprisingly fast, even when they're busy.
I highly recommend the Manuka honey bread or any of their waffles, such a delicious sweet treat and the portions are a good size.
Ah Cafe Rhythm, you have a special place in my heart. This adorable vintage looking cafe is nestled in the midst of Parnell’s main strip of shops and restaurants, but is behind a store so it feels like you’ve stumbled across a hidden gem. I’ve been here a few times in the past, and have been rendered into a 5 year old girl overwhelmed at how cute everything is each time.
Me and my partner are regular customers here. It's a cute little cafe in the heart of parnell. The food is really good and it is great value for money. They also have a resident dog which is very friendly. :) Their waffles are great and they also make one of the best coffees. They're very creative and puts effort in coffee art. :)
Been here 2 times, they didn't disappoint me. The location is very nice, the atmosphere is very relaxing. The food here tastes very nice and its presented very well. I ordered the nutella chocolate bread and its covered with so much cream❤️. The kumara fries were served in a small rubbish bin which i thought was very cute. Iced mocha is pretty decent. Would come here with my friends for a cute relaxing date.
2nd time here. It's a really cute and causal place to grab a coffee and to catch up with some friends. Coffee was so so but there waffles are really good!
Cute cafe! The waffles are really well made! My partner ordered a big breakfast and I ordered a cheesy waffle! They were both delicious but the serving size was a bit smaller than expected.
The coffees were also well made! Awesome place if you want to take your doggies to a cafe with you.
Cute atmosphere, dog friendly cafe 😊
Walked my little doggy to Parnell and had a chance to visit this little cafe with my sister on Sunday for out girls day out. We were planing to go for the chocolate boutique but too many ppl there, then we found this one hiding around the back.
What a peaceful place,, nice and calm.. just what we were looking for ☺️
We ordered some coffees and tried their waffle, both are very nice. We had such a great time there. My dog met her cute little friend too hehe😀
Will visit there again for sure 💕
Quite a lot to say, firstly the lay out is wonderful such a cute place to eat. The menu was different which I liked.
For the food I ordered the creamy mushroom with hash browns and wedges. In the picture it had capsicums and looked different. I liked it at the beginning the dish is a good idea, just not well thought out. They swamped the sauce over everything which made the bread and hash browns soggy. I had to stuff my face as fast as I could just so everything didn't turn into mush. I felt really quezzy and sick after wards just cause the soggy bread didn't sit well with my stomach. If getting the mushroom ask for it on the side rather than on top of everything.
On the other hand my friend got the big breakfast and enjoyed it, gave it a 7/10. I tryed some waffle and it was tasty.
Lastly they have a pet dog at the cafe that comes and plays with you, I loved it and it made my experience awesome. They asked us if they'd like us to take him away which was considerate. But ps don't feed the dog or ull get told off !
Probably will forever be my favourite places to get waffles, such cute presentation and lovely staff, I love how they taste and the way the present it because it's never the same , one of my favourite places to eat at
Came here to have some waffles but I was faaaar too hungry and was drawn to the breakfast.
I liked the variety of the big breakfast!!
They weren't serving any house made drinks which was odd
Such a quiet but comfy cafe :-) I come here often for some Honey toast and Red bean patbingsoo, my two favourite desserts here. I would definitely recommend this cafe for people who are really conservative and don't particularly enjoy places that are too loud or crowded .
Cafe Rhythm is a quaint café hidden down a back alley in the urban jungle of Parnell but surrounded by vines and greenery giving it that rain forest feeling you cant really get elsewhere in Auckland city.
How does one place distinguish its coffee from another? Apparently with spectacular little diamond encrusted spoons. The coffee at Café Rhythm was really nice, it was extremely well presented and a very healthy serving size. The caffeinated goodness was hot and fresh although maybe slightly weak for my taste but hey I did order a latte (...Aucklander). I think the drink of choice for my next return will be the blueberry latte, New Zealand is a bit behind the times with flavoured coffee’s but there are plenty on offer at Café Rhythm, and they look amazing.
The food has got to be the main draw card of Cafe Rhythm, whether you like sweet or savory, there is something for all and at a great price. I opted for the waffle burger as it was something I had never witnessed before, what appeared a few minutes later was a Skytower stack of meat, cheese, pineapple and sweet relish protected by soft waffle outers...OMG...I did not even risk picking this delight up, it was a job for the knife and fork.
I got plenty of food envy as I waited for my dish, the sweet waffles covered in cream, berries and yogurt looked like they would give me a heart attack and bring me back to life all at once. I had to double check my tongue was not hanging out of my mouth a few times. Everything was golden, the waffles had the perfect Long Bay sand colour, the hash browns were the colour of tigers skin and the fries had that crunch I live my life for, I will be back to try everything on the menu.
Good service can make or break a place in the cut throat café industry, but there is no worry here. We were offered water then coffee then food, thank god a place can still get this right. As most people ordered waffles we were told there would be a bit of a wait and orders wont all come out at once so best to eat while they are hot. This was perfect, I respect being told that there will be a wait, after that I was happy to wait. There is nothing worse than sitting at a table with no food in front of you while everyone else is patiently watching their food get cold and internally blaming you. This is not a Michelin star dinner restaurant, it is brunch, get in there and eat it while it tastes good.
Overall, a very pleasant cafe with everything you can ask for set back from the main road and hidden from the city. I look forward to returning.
This was such an adorable little cafe tucked away off the main street in Parnell. Covered in grapevines and with a cute pomerian pooch outside who belonged to the owner I knew I was in the right place! I got there at around 9:55am (they open at 10am) and the little lady inside just told me to grab a table and wait. I was fine with that as I needed to wait for the rest of my table troops to arrive anyway.
I ordered a flat white and the gourmet yoghurt waffles. I was really impressed with the colourful and appealing menu they had, and the blueberry latte and waffle burger were the two stand out/unusual items that were on the list.
My flat white was admittedly a little too strong for how I usually like it, but it was beautifully presented. My waffles were absolutely divine and covered in fresh fruits, almonds, maple syrup and two flavours of yoghurt. The portion size was large and I initially didn't think I would get through it all but they were so tasty and I managed in the end!
Would definitely love to come back to this place and tuck into that waffle burger next time!
This is a very nice and romantic little cafe hidden down a quiet walkway in Parnell. There is a pay car park about 1 minute away on the other side of the road, which is helpful if you don't live in the area as there were no free parking spaces available at the time.
My boyfriend and I visited around 7pm - it was very quiet and there was nice gentle music coming from inside. The staff were friendly and gave us a menu to have a look over as we chose where to sit. We already knew what we were going to get because we came specifically for the waffles, but it was nice to see all of the different kinds of savoury dishes that they also offered.
We were going to order two separate full-sized waffles, however, we were advised to order one and then see if we would like another one as they are quite large. So we ordered one classic waffle, one iced caramel (Caramel de Leche) and an iced chocolate. Both of the drinks were very yummy and served with those large straws that make them much easier to drink.
The waffle looked so pretty and delicious when it arrived after about 10 minutes. Everything went together well and was very yummy. I would say that the texture was between firm and soft which was good, but then again I'm not a waffle connoisseur.
We were full by the time we finished it, but we'd had something to eat beforehand as well. If you tend to overestimate how much you'll be able to eat, I'd suggest sharing a full-sized one or getting a petite one, as you can always get another afterwards.
Would recommend for a romantic dessert! =)
paceful, quite cafe with light music, such a unique place to enjoy your summer. Food is good, coffee is perfect and the staffs are really nice!
Absolutely best place to go to in Auckland
Good atmosphere, nice and friendly staff delicious food and dessert. My favourite is the chocolate waffles.
Keep it up guys:-)
Been here last week and I think they have changed new ownership, since changed the food was amazing and the service is professional. Staff really nice (not sure the very nice one is boss or just staff ^^). We have really great experience and definitely will come back to try the different dishes. ????????????????????
I came across this lovely gem of a place a few months ago while wandering Parnell in search of a late brunch – it was hidden in a tiny alcove behind the main row of shops on Parnell Rd, by a quaint little cobblestone road lined with flowers. While they serve standard brunch and lunch cafe fare, their specialty lies in waffles, both sweet and savoury.
And the waffles are indeed good, piping hot and thick and overflowing with toppings, which I greatly prefer in comparison to the light, airy confections that typically dominate the waffle scene. I have been there twice; on the first try, I had the original waffle with fruits, nuts, maple syrup, various sauces and vanilla ice cream, while on the second I opted for the yogurt waffle. I preferred the former to the latter, perhaps in part because I was slightly baffled by the decision to serve the yogurt along with the sauces in small tin containers – I would have preferred the sauce drizzled over the waffle, with the yogurt served in the middle. Also, when they say yogurt, they mean yogurt, as in the supermarket variety, not frozen yogurt (that was my mistake for not reading carefully, though).
The service is commendable, friendly and fairly efficient. There is a huge variety of options on the menu, from breakfast and lunch staples such as french toast and BLT, to salads, rice meals, savoury waffles, sweet waffles, petite waffles, and kids’ meals. I haven’t tried any of their savoury waffles, as my sweet tooth consistently clamors for the sweet variety (and wins!), but if anyone has tried them, do feel free to chime in.
I would return for the original belgium waffle, or perhaps to give the chocolate waffle a shot. They serve Tea Drop teas, which garners them bonus points in my book.
service 3/5environment 5/5food 4/5cost performance 4/5drink 4/5My favorites; Cajun chichen salad, original waffle.Recommend: dessert special ( after 5 pm )
As a local, I have been here regularly. This is a really hidden place, as I couldn't notice there is a cafe. It is such a lovely place and always provide good food and service. Last Saturday I and my husband came to have a lunch with our dog. It was full so we couldn't find a table at courtyard so we need to sit inside. Sadly our dog should stay outside till we finished our lunch. The waitress bring him water even she was busy. The food were lovely as always but service was a bit slowly. I ordered coffee first and orange juice with meal but these came at once. I understand because it was busy rather than weekdays. For me, It was good and I will definitely come back.
Nice little cosy cafe away from the street noise. We used a voucher and made sure we ordered the correct waffles. We didn't realise how big they were going to be! But they were delicious, a real treat! Service was friendly. The help-yourself water could have been kept cold, especially since it was a hot day
Was most impressed by the service and food ,the young man was most attentive .pity it isn't better signposted from the main road ..this would greatly help their trade as it's back off the road.
Maybe the other patron had a bad experience but I've been with a group of 4 about three times now and find it always to be great, they have some very good deals on for lunch/breakfast and the coffee, food and service is always good - never any "angry eyes", the waitress once even brought out some magazines especially without me asking, very thoughtful.
Nice little courtyard seating too which adds to a pleasant ambience and dining experience. The BLT with fries is very good.
This place mainly specialises in sweets and desserts, but offers savoury options for your breakfast/ lunch too. It's easily found from the main street in Parnell, but is located a little behind another building so it's got it's own quiet oasis- very calming and cute, especially with the lilting music that drifts outside the cafe. The Cajun Chicken salad is delicious and moreish, though the serving size has shrunk in my recent visits. I introduced my friends to this and they love it too. Omelette was average, similar to what you can make at home. The chocolate waffle which is generously topped with fruits and ice cream- I recommend you share one between four people as it is quite big. The waffle itself was delicious- soft and cake-y on the inside while a little crispy on the outside. I recently went there a few days ago to try their new frappes: Pistachio Almond was nice and made with real nuts so there may be a bit of sediment but I like that since it's not artificially flavoured and medicine-y tasting as almond can be. The Green Tea Chocolate Mint was mainly chocolate mint but also very nice! The decor inside this cafe is adorable and relaxing, definitely visit with a few friends and check out their sweets cabinet.

A cute korean cafe hidden inside Parnell where you can enjoy a drink and dessert away from the city noise.
We ordered the famous Original Waffles which was topped with cream, strawberries, almond flakes and ice cream. I was a bit disappointed with the soft texture of the waffles. However, the Manuka Honey bread was delicious. It was served with a cream drizzled with honey. The bread was crunchy and not overly sweet.
A perfect place to sit and chat with your friends or indulging in some cream and waffles after a long hard week.

If you like waffles... if you like a charming, stylish and artsy environment...if you like 5 star customer service... you must go and check this gem! I couldn't recommend it enough. We ordered waffles with eggs and bacon and cappuccino. It was delicious, affordable and came in beautiful mugs. The owner is lovely! The place is beautiful and relaxing. 😊
A cute, quiet cafe tucked inside of Parnell. This place is clean and had pretty interiors. My friend and I ordered both food and drinks. The drinks were tasty and so were the waffles, which were made to perfection - crunchy outside and soft inside. Everything was made fresh and the food was filling - we recommend buying half a waffle as we had leftover. On top of that, both the workers present were friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely come back!
Café Rhythm was highly recommended by our friends after a trip to the cinemas when we were looking for a place to have something sweet and savory. And it was worth the trip. Café Rhythm serves one of the best waffles in Auckland and has many options for tea, coffee and other drinks and treats. Prices are reasonable as well with good portions. The place is quaint, clean and situated in a quiet street in Parnell with plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting. The owners are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Very very great experience, and hands down to the best waffle I have ever tried in my whole life. It has that amazing crunch and feels so light. Thanks for making my visit so fruitful same as the of dish I ordered!. I definitely recommend visiting this place. I came alone but I had a company as seen hahaha.
Nice cafe with classical music at a corner of Parnell village. Chicken pesto, coffee and chocolate waffle are delicious. Their staff is very friendly and nice. I asked if I could change vanillas ice-cream to chocolate one for my waffle, and the staff said without hesitation. But a bit regret that I ordered ginger tea, which is just a normal ginger tea bag from T2.
I also saw a lot of customers who look like they come here often, let their dogs play with the owner’s dog. Friendly cafe indeed.
Love their bananana waffles, a cute little cafe in a hidden corner of Parnell. Lovely vibes and out door seatings. Will miss this place!
This is the only place in Auckland that made me visit twice during my vocation.
First of all, virtually every café in NZ closed at 3 pm, except chain stores like Starbucks. But this place got a different approach, they open from 11 am to 10 pm, so its a great place to go after a tiring day or simply when I want to spend some time in afternoon, without worrying the closing time.
Secondly, the atmosphere is perfect. The café is located at the back of a shopping village, so its away from the noisy street traffic, but easy to reach. It's environment was like a secret garden in movies and had plenty of seats to sit outdoor or indoor.
Last of all, the menu was consists of many different choices of food. Their bestseller are the waffles of course, but also has ice creams, chips, etc.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Auckland, especially if your planning on visiting Auckland Domain and the Museum, this is a great place to rest afterwards.
A brilliant café with delicious waffles, drinks for everyone - including one of the best hot chocolates I've ever had that I'm sure the little ones will enjoy! -- and even movie nights! The plushies, plants and decor of the place is lovely and whimsical, perfect for photos for birthdays and other special events. I've been to this café twice in the past week and the customer service is amazing! I also really enjoy the movie nights that the café hosts :-)
Came here late night but the owners was very welcoming and accommodating. If you love waffles then you have to come to this place... they've got one of the best waffles! The ambiance is also cute and cozy. Will definitely come back and try the other waffles... although their choconana and s'mores was a delight! 👌
Loved our visit to Cafe Rhythm today, the staff were super friendly and helpful. We brought our small breed dog with us and they were quick to offer him water and be so accommodating and welcoming!
The atmosphere of the place was that of stepping into a Studio Ghibli movie with cute anime characters scattered throughout the indoor and outdoor dining area. They even had some tasteful Ghibli soundtrack playing in the background.
I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and a mocha and my wife got the dumplings and a tea. The eggs Benedict was outstanding! Eggs poached perfectly with a decent amount of honondaise sauce on crispy waffles. The dumplings were really tasty with a great texture and filling/dough ratio and i can't speak for the tea, but my mocha was really good.
We look forward to coming back to trying out some of the other options on the menu!
We ate everything and ready to order more … an excellent place with great ambiance and excellent food!!! Clients are served in elegant porcelain and chic cutlery!!! It feels like you visited a good friend who serves you to please you!!
This place has got a nice, soothing vibe. The waffle we ordered were absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding. It was a chilly change from afternoon to evening and we decided to sit outside anyway becos the view was beautiful. And they had a bunch of blankets ready for this kind of weather, which me and my friend appreciate. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating at that. Real star right here
The place is simply amazing with a view of sunset and sky tower on background. The food is delicious, specially luscious waffles. Margret and John who look after this cafe were friendly, and kind. Definitely must visit....<3
We really like the atmosphere in CafeRhythm, it’s so unique and you can’t believe you can chill out in CafeRhythm up to 10p.m.!!!!!!! They offered the best waffle and showed up best attitude to its costumers. Will go again!!
Lovely, incredibly tasty food. The owner is especially kind and friendly to everyone. Would highly recommend for their fantastic waffles, particularly the banana ones!
Lovely and relaxing atmosphere. Waffles was delicious and best hot chocolate! Owners is super friendly and accommodating!
Some of the best service I've ever received. Super friendly staff who seem to love their jobs, a delicious menu, and really fun atmosphere. The waitress brought us blankets and a giant panda to enjoy our waffles with us - a cute little gem that made our Sunday!
A little hidden gem of a cafe (restaurant)
We found the place by accident and will now be part of my life memories
Waffles and dumplings with stuffed pandas doted on by the staff as company was part of the experience
The staff made you feel transported to another world
Food was outstanding
Wine was great along with the apple green tea
Staff and venue provided a unique experience
My suggestion visit the venue soon before it is discovered
I genuinely love this café! It's definitely my favourite! I've been coming here since 2020, and the atmosphere, the vibe and the owners are just lovely! It is always peaceful and quiet; the owners make you feel welcome and right at home. My friends and I celebrated New Year's last year at the café, and counting down to midnight while eating a delicious waffle was definitely a great start to the year. The view outside of the city is also very pretty at night. I'll miss my favourite waffle place and my cute panda friends I always ate with. Wishing the owners all the best!! And thank you for all the good memories!! :))
