Lovely little cafe in a nice location. Great for coffee or lunch catch up in the city. The food was yum and service was amazing and quick! The staff were great! 10/10 would recommend
Had the Falafel wrap which was delicious. The service was quick for a work lunch and take away. The server was friendly and engaging.
Good Service. I ordered acai bowl, it was good but it was on the runny side, would have been better if they used frozen bananas. There were lots of fruits in it as well.
The coffee I had was perfect, it was hot which is how I like it, I also had a yoyo cookie which was so soft and buttery, melted in my mouth.
My favourite coffee on Shortland st. Good coffee card and friendly safe. Good ambience less formal than many of the other cafes on Shortland st. Good muffins.
Woah! What a surprise this place turned out to be for me.I had a coffee here earlier in the week, and as the coffee was pretty good and food looked OK, I went back today for a breakfast. I am so glad I did.
All I have to say is that the Eggs Benedict was served on homemade hash browns instead of muffins or toast! Which in my book is an absolute winner! Totally inspired, and gives a really nice surprise to a standard breakfast offering.
Staff pretty friendly also. The cafe itself is a little unassuming, but beautifully decorated within. Definitely recommend. It's worth the small stroll from Queen St and the waterfront to head here!
Family friendly, great atmosphere, tasty coffee and delicious food! Everyone was super friendly and super fast service. Very trendy and good vibe
Very friendly service and great coffee. I had the feta and avocado smash on toast. It was really tasty and well seasoned. It was served with some warm tomatoes that had been cooked with care; the beautiful tart-sweet flavour shone through. Would have loved a little bit more of the reduction that was served with it as after a while the feta became a bit overwhelming. Coffee very good. Gets busy after around 7.30am on a week day as everyone gets coffees / breakfast before heading off to work.
Went here for a breakfast on the run this morning. I was greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter who served me and got me a spinach and mozzarella twist. They heated it and it was pretty good, the flavour was there but the filling was a bit strange. I would definitely come back after seeing what else they had in the cabinet and on the menu!
Was a ok experience overall. Went for breakfast with few friends. My eggs were overcooked but the staff sorted that put very quickly. Food was good but wasn't great value for money.
This was the perfect spot for a pre work breakfast catch up with a friend. There were lots of business breakfast meetings going on but still room for us to grab a table.
We couldn't decide between the smashed avocado and the zucchini fritters so we got both to share along with coffees. The smashed avocado was amazing! The zucchini fritters wasn't what I expected, more omelette than fritter and not really up my alley.
Food and coffee here is great with a constant number of paleo versions thrown in for good pressure. Portion sizes are on the mean side and pricing on the high side making this an occasional venue rather than a standard go to.
Despite working not far away for many years I had missed this place (or it had not appealed). Finally went in late May 2015 and the lack of customers was an ominous sign.
However the coffee was great, snacks good and the staff friendly. The place is clean and deserves to be much busier.
Price was reasonable.
This used to be the rather odd place with the suit of armour outside. Now renovated into stripped-back city centre cool. Offers a decent set of lunch salads, filled rolls etc. My lunch was a totally acceptable if unexceptional beef and peppers on noodles, with an expertly decorated flat white that appeared to be a self-portrait by the baristress.
I was tempted into trying this places based on their awesome interior! Had a breakfast of sourdough with smashed avo + feta with roasted tomatoes for lunch. Really generous with the avo, and such a great price.
Also had a chai latte, was perfect. Will definitely be trying coffee next time. The staff seemed a little unsure of themselves but considering this is a relatively new, I'm sure they will pick it up quickly.
Lovely experience from beginning to end. Welcoming staff greeted us and quickly took our order. Smiles were friendly and warm. After our order they provided us a sweet snack since our food was taking a bit longer (however we did not notice). Food arrived and was delightful. Our party of 4 ordered waffles, an omelet, and avo toast. All the orders were plentiful and full of flavor. Seating was very open but probably due to Covid. So make your way down here and get some breakfast or lunch. Hours are 7am-2pm. Start your day off with a smile, coffee and some great eats.
Lovely little cafe in a nice location. The food was yum and service was amazing and quick! The staff were great and gave us discount on zomato gold even though it doesn’t work on Valentine’s Day so thanks for that! 10/10 would recommend
Not sure why this only gets 3.6? We popped in for a quick bite and enjoyed the food, drinks and service. The iced coffees were delish, if a bit filling! All day breakfast too which seems to be a rare thing in the CBD, with most places stopping before 11 for lunch! Free WiFi if you ask for the password, which is handy for us travellers!
A beautiful place to just sit down and hang out. Plenty of sunlight and the coffee is good.
Breakfast was nice. Coffee was excellent. Staff were friendly and polite.
I am enjoy to stay here . Nice coffee and food
Nice and comfy place and eggs Benedict with salmon was yummy!
Gorgeous place, staff are super lovely and the coffee and vibe of this cafe are amazing! Food is delicious and pricing is good. Can't recommend this place enough
This little cafe tucked away at the top of Shorty street is a great place to grab lunch. The menu is simple and full of yummy options. Food was really tasty and great service.
This is my everyday stop for MOCHA, great coffee that you can find in CBD, the only place serving breakfast whole day, the menu is on till 4 pm. Late lunch ? Or need coffee to get through the last bit of the day this is a place to go. Open till 4pm monday to friday. The food options are incredible ranging from muffins, paninis and the all day menu. My favourite is the pulled pork panini.
Wonderfully crisp smoko service, as pleasant as finding a cheeky tenner in your coat pocket. Cozy and low light in the back, open and breezy at the front with a view of the quirky Gus Fisher Art Galley.
Refreshingly moderate sized muffins of absolute top quality. The usual winners of banana choc, raspberry white choc, blueberry, bran and something tasty, and super mundi choco face blast. The snickers Danish also looks dangerous. Coffee is beautifully strong.
Wonderful coffee and service felt very quiet and pleasant great for a round the table chit-chat!!
Beautiful place, nice coffee, delicious food and super service. Cant ask for more. would love to go back.
Really appreciate that I can order half portions. Staff are very friendly and the eggs benedict is delicious. Thanks!
Beautiful cafe, delicious food, excellent coffee and SUPER service.
delicious food, great coffee and friendly staff. felt very welcome in this stylish cafe.
Great food, friendly staff and yummy coffee. The manager, Nora, is amazing!
Has the best coffee in Auckland in my opinion. Love the atmosphere as well, excellent for formal meetings or casual catch-ups
