The Servo is a pretty awesome local cafe out west. I gave it a 4.5 because of the whole package, not because it has Michelin Star food, its great cafe food, GREAT COFFEE, and friendly caring service in a setting with indoor and outdoor seating and they allows dogs and even have a dog bowl for water.
We love going there, parking onsite as well as it was a service station, so what more could you want for bacon n eggs and coffee on the weekend, or a lovely pasta during the week!
My preferred cafe in Te Atatu. Staff always friendly, delicious aioli, mocha is usually great, as is Cajun Chicken sandwich and beef burger.
This cafe is my go to when I'm in Te Atatu Peninsula; there coffees are always just right though for the hot chocolate, it just needs a bit more chocolate, but that's my taste. Roughly the price for just a sandwich and coffee is $15, but the sandwiches are fulfilling and packed with nutrients. I really enjoy this place, though at times it can get busy. The staff is also friendly too. I would recommend people to come to this cafe if they visit Te Atatu Peninsula, it's wonderful and pleasant.
This is our regular for morning coffees and muffins. Have always had amazing coffees made by them. Muffins have always been fresh and delicious. One of the few places that will actually listen when you ask for a lukewarm hot chocolate for the kids. They also hand out marshmallows even if the kids don't buy a drink. The staff are amazing, friendly and serve you with a smile. We have visited here for breakfasts a number of times, price is good for what you get. My go to meal is the vegetarian kiwi breakfast. Delicious and filling. Today we stopped for drinks and a slice of cake. Coffees were amazing as always. The sweet treats were great

We have pretty much adopted this place as our local weekend brunch spot...especially if you tie it in with a walk around the Peninsula which is stunning any time of the year. My recommendation would be the Fresh Fruit and Muesli. Best I have had in Auckland so far! Nice big chunks of a variety of fresh crispy fruit, home made toasted muesli and natural yoghurt, milk and berry compote on the side. Devine! The other parts of the menu all look great - second best would be the French Toast. The only aspect that lets this place down is the outside seating area....it really needs to be 'jazzed up' a little as it can feel like you are sitting in the carpark or the petrol station forecourt that it used to be! But hey, they have dog bowls beside the tables and the service is great.

Coffee is always consistent and good. Usually order from the menu and have NEVER had a reason to complain!!! so yummy!!
The main Front of house lady is always really friendly too.
The only down side I see is their cabinet food(cakes and slices). Always looks a bit old and tired. I think if they re-did that they would find they sold more from it. I'd certainly buy from it.

We come here regularly as there are few cafes in Te Atatu and the Peninsula. This is definitely one of the better ones!
There is a good range on the menu, and the coffee is great. We always find the service fantastic and the staff are friendly.
There is seating out the front, meaning we can bring the dog along with us. I'm also stoked that they now have an A grade health rating!
We can only comment on drinks as that's all we had, a pit stop on a ride from the CBD along the wonderful north-western cycleway. My chai latte was as good as any I get in the CBD but Chris said his double shot latte was the best coffee he's had for a very long time. Chris has done barista training, writes a regular coffee column and is very particular about his coffee. He acknowledges that who makes the coffee is the most important ingredient. We'll do the 25km round trip again just for the coffee! The place was busy at this time (9.15 - 10am), suggesting that other people like the place as well.
This was our local before the arrival of our son meant no more lazy Sunday morning breakfasts.
We returned about a year ago to the new owners, and poor food and service.
We returned today (27/11/2011) to a complete change! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and drink orders were taken before viewing the food menu (the kids menu is laminated, has games on the back, and pictures of the food - nice touch).
The food arrived just as we started getting a little impatient, but it was well worth the wait. PERFECT Eggs Benedict - the hollandaise was mouth wateringly wonderful. The Big Breakfast went down a treat (after stealing the hollandaise from the eggs bene plate). The little fella demolished his fluffy and chicken and chips.
Reasonably priced, and they're even in the Entertainment Book so you can get a free meal!
Well done on the 180 - we'll be back again, and again, and again.
A great local cafe. My partner and I popped along to Servo last Sunday afternoon for a quiet coffee and a read of the paper. I had the best vanilla milkshake I've had in years and my man had a good short black (and believe me he is very fussy about his coffee). We also shared a delicious, mouth watering, cheese and bacon quiche.... next time I'm not sharing :-) There aren't many good cafes in Westieland sadly, but we thought Servo did pretty well. The only complaint is that they close at 3:30pm on a Sunday... 4pm would be better. We will be back... I'm craving another milkshake and quiche already :-)
Excellent cafe...One of the best ive been to out west...Great people and yummy food..BLT bagel was massive and had to cut in half (my small mouth) My faqmily even love the place and we always meet there for lunch...Awesome place altogether
try the hash browns, they are fab!!!
Also can take the dog, there are outside tables under cover!!

This is a great cafe for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just a plain morning/afternoon tea. The coffee is to die for and is definitely up there with the best in Auckland. I have entertained visitors from Canada and the UK all of whom are very impressed with the service and food.

We often go to Servo to enjoy a brunch & coffee and are amazed at the consistent service we get there. Cater for kids which we like, and the food display cabinet is handy if we're pushed for time.They also cater which we have found excellent. All in all, Great food, great staff & service of course fantastic coffee.

Servo is the Te Atatu equivalent of one of those New York hole in the wall cafes where those in the know go for the brilliant food. There's a nostalgic westie atmosphere to the area. A few 60s shops, a garage, a tattoo parlour. You can imagine Cheryl West dropping in for a coffee. Servo is on the corner, bright, clean and tidy with artwork and ceramics and a quite sophisticated menu. They make the best gourmet pizzas we've ever tasted plus other great lunch dishes. A great place before you go for a wild life walk in the acres of parkland that now grace the penninsular.Well worth visiting. You'll certainly go back.

There are not many occasions that summon me out to the Te Atatu Peninsula. When I get there, I’m always overwhelmed by the stunning view back towards the City of Sails, the relaxed neighbourhood and the quality of the cafes and restaurants. The Servo Cafe was my first introduction to the beauty of the food of the wild West.
When I lived in Waterview, I was proud to call Servo’s my local. A couple of minutes along the motorway was a small price to pay for the best brunch in Auckland. I was introduced to it by a vegetarian friend who raved about the breakfasts. With Roasted Addiqtion being her benchmark, this Westie cafe must be pretty sharp! Now it is on my must do list of Auckland – yes, it’s THAT good.
Housed in an adapted service station on the corner of 2 roads (hence the name), Servo’s does cabinet food, licensed drinks, pizza & a great selection of classic brunch & lunch dishes, with a few innovative takes on the average Auckland brunch menu.
My ultimate fave; the dish that keeps me coming back for more; my recommendation for those new to Servo’s delights – Golden Smoked Kahawai & Herbed Potato Cake w-Servo Hollandaise, Poached Free Range Egg & Spinach. And in my opinion, it’s even better with a side of bacon!!
My vego mate salivates over the Vegetarian Kiwi Breakfast: Free Range eggs cooked to your liking, Grilled Tomato, Field Mushrooms, Servo Hash Browns, Spinach & Toast. Yumarama! The meat lover’s version of this also lives up to it’s reputation. Servo’s hash browns are a legend unto themselves: golden, deep-fried spoonfuls of homemade goodness. No McCain’s frozen rubbish here thank you very much.

So glad my partner and I discovered this cafe! It is now one of our new favourite cafes in Auckland :-) Muffin and coffee I had were both top-notch! I love a big cup of coffee, so I was delighted to see "Bowl" size is available here :-) My partner said his iced chocolate is the best one he has had in Auckland to date. He loved the fresh (not whipped) cream on top. Also said his toasted sandwich was "Excellent" and the cheesecake slice he got for us both afterwards, was very nice too! Thanks all, we're looking forward to coming back here :-)

Nice and quiet place, didn't have any food, but what I saw being delivered to others looked appealing, coffee was great, I would certainly go again, and recommend giving it a try.

A popular cafe amongst the locals, menu is pleasing with perfect coffee and sweet treats at a very pleasing price. This is my favourite cafe and i recommend it highly. Great service every time good work team, you have me hooked.
