Nice friendly service by the girls on the counter and lovely taste from the daily fresh fish fillets and yellow golden fries. We will comeback for more.
We ordered a special deal of 2 fish, 2 potato fritter and 2 chips and the mussels deal of 12. Batter was light and crispy, fish was fresh and generous portion. Mussels were fresh and large size. Very delicious fish and chips, lightly salted. The only down side is quite a pool of oil very much visible at the bottom of the food.
We read the menu from several sources online and all had mussel deal $12 for 12. The young girl took our order over the phone, confirmed the price after she checked it with someone. But when we went to picked up the food, the lady gave us a different price, she then talked to another man in Chinese and both of them walked away, left with the child to explain the situation to us. We don’t mind the extra $3 and not wanting to get the child in trouble. But did not enjoy the unsupportive scene.

So my mum found this place as she didn't want to fry fish at home. She took her own batter and bought the fish, so they can fry. Quick service and if you don't like the fishy smell at your home, try this place.
Fast Eddies Crumbed Fish was ridiculously tasty it's and the fish is super fresh and the potato chips are crispy and tasty Fast Eddies is the best Fish n chip in howick so I would recommend this fabulous shop to u all
Had some fresh snapper and some chips for dinner, the chips were crispy as. When they say their fish is fresh, its legit fresh; you can even see for yourself. The shop itself is kept clean and tidy which was great. I would totally recommend it 😊

Such a solid takeaway place for a good ol foray into the greasy fish and chips scene. They offer some pretty good set deals as most takeaways do but I think the quality of the fish is a better. Definitely love coming to this place

Found this takeaway hidden in a carpark by countdown. Had fish, chips, mussel, and squid ring. Simply the best! Fish was a large piece, very thick. Chips were cooked perfectly. All the food was well strained, the wrapper was not greasy. Will be back again.

The fish was snapper and tasted very fresh.
I was served by two attractive and very polite Asian women (perhaps mother and daughter).
It was just on closing time Saturday night so I was lucky to get my order in.

Love their takeaways when I'm on their side of town. Oil is clean tasting, very popular with the locals, sometimes might find a long waiting time. Try them out you won't be disappointed then wander down to the local beach and enjoy !!!

They took so much pride in their food. My husband was 30 minutes late picking up our fish and chips. They insisted re frying our order so it was all hot and crispy.

I have removed my 1 star review from about a year ago, as I just visited this place again for a cheeky chippy for lunch. I decided to give them one more shot to see if things had improved, plus it was super convenient as I now live just round the corner :)
Well, things have improved 100%. I was surprised at how much different it was this time. Nice portions, and crispy batter on the fish. It was in fact, a real treat this time. They have also updated the shop, so not sure if they're new owners, or just done an upgrade, but it's really well done now.
So, yes; A marked improvement from last time!
