Never had halal Thai before! Decided to play it safe with a classic pad Thai. Decent pricing and generous portions. The pad Thai had a weird off-dairy kinda aftertaste to it but maybe that’s what it’s supposed to taste like?? also I had it takeaway so that might’ve impacted it. dk but if I ate anymore I’d probably feel sick
5 stars for their Thai beef salad,Tom yum prawn soup and lamb sizzling MUST TRY
Don’t promise for other dishes
Without a bit of stretch I go there every once a week for the past 3 years now.
Just request for less salt and also to not to add sugar in soup and sizzling and you will be golden my friend.🙂
I quite enjoy the taste of this joint serving up wonderful Thai food plus it’s Halal.... loved their pad Thai ... The quality of the food the silky texture of the noodles to the spice and freshness of the veges with salt level is awesome
Wide range of Thai food options welcome you to this food stall. The staff is very cheerful so it's got a good vibe to it. Prices are not too high (avg $12) and portions are huge for my level of appetite. We ordered for Lard Na noodles (like a soup with flat noodles and veggies) with sea-food. Good amount of prawns were added, though soup seemed bit thick unlike the traditional Thai style watery ones, tasted good nonetheless. Will visit again for sure.

THE FOODOLOGIST REVIEW:-
I am a Thai food lover . Been to Bangkok many times due to my fathers travels. So Thai food i have been eating since young . This place is located in a food court . I was living pretty close by and was glad there was a Thai place close to where i live and take away suited me better . I ordered the tom yum soup and the Thai red curry which came with rice . The lady asked me whether i wanted it spicy and i like spicy and was used to being asked this question and if you would say no it would usually end up bland . I took the food home and it was still nice and hot a first sip of the soup and i was running to grab some water it was that hot . add a few more sips with more water . It was too spicy for me . Went on to the red chicken curry and it was the same ,it was edible as the rice cut a little of the spiciness. Even in Thailand they don't serve such tongue burning food . So my experience was ruined . The only reason i gave the food 3.5 is because the ingredients were definitely fresh . And the food is definitely not authentic as they have just the regulars which is the touristy stuff
I haven't eaten-in at this place because I don't like the smells in the foodcourt.
BUT, I get takeaway from Ayutthaya all the time. Best Thai takeaways in the area. I love a hot curry, and this is one of the few places where asking for "Hot" means "Hot" in the same way that ordering Hot in Thailand would be.
I've had lots of dishes and love almost all of them. The curries are great, Noodle dishes are fantastic. The only dish I didn't enjoy was the deep fried snapper.
But seriously, considering the price and the alternative Thai options in this area, this is the one to go for.
Having said that, I would suggest getting takeaway and eating at your office/home or across the road in Myers Park! That foodcourt smells a bit like funky.
I love this place. It's the cleanest place IMO in that food court. They use halal chicken breast in all thier chicken plates. I ordered the sizzlin chicken with side of curry puff. Yum!! Plus it's around 15-17$ for meal without a drink. It's a hidden gem but the food court is shabby.
I come here ever so often because I love their Thai Fried Rice(with beef). For $10, this meal is my lunch and dinner! You can opt for non spicy or spicy but I recommend the spicy (not too spicy!) . Met the lady chef the other day and she was really nice and smiley?
Great value for money. Good thai currys. Best eatery amongst all others at small asian food court outside lim chour supermarket. Friendly and good staff
One of the restaurant in the Lim Chhour Food Court on K Rd. They have quite a selection of food and I tried the sizzling egg noodles. The noodles came out piled over a hot sizzling plate. Fairly generous portion and the flavour of the noodles were quite nice. I did ask for medium and it was actually medium spicy so if you're afraid of heat, be cautious.
Best halal Thai food in Auckland. Loved their Tom yum soup and bamboo beef. Spice lovers go for hot Thai option.
Flavours were nice, but not mindblowing but the service was excellent and the portions were huge. We ate dinner and filled a takeaway contsiner and we sre not small eaters! Enjoy!
Great tasting Thai food, we loved our meal, and the staff were friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend coming in for take aways, and having an authentic thai experience.
In love with Hot Hot Chicken, medium spicy is not enough, will try 'very spicy' next trip
I ordered for lamb Thai fried rice. It is tasty and the portion are generous too.
Thai food with friendly staff. It's very Thai tasty so I guessing someone would think too sour like my gf. But I love this indeed.
My favourite Thai place ever. Ever since a friend introduced me to it, I just can't forget about it. Their sizzling lamb with rice and vegies (medium spice) is yummy. Recommend to all thai food lovers. Wish I had a photo but I'm not one of those that takes photos before eating :(
Value for money. Wholesome tasty food served by friendly staff. Never disappointed. Recommend Tom Yum noodle soup, easily fills 2 stomachs. Soul food.
