ANZAC day, nice to see the young and not so young there. A sense of comradery, storytelling and appreciation for those whose sacrifice was the ultimate. Friendly staff and well organised day. Thanks Eddie πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

Had the pleasure of attending a mid-year Christmas lunch with the 60s up group Wednesday 15 June 2022, and I cannot compliment Billie's excellent choice of food and taste enough. A thoroughly enjoyable meal. Thanks also to Eddie who gave excellent bar service. A very pleasant visit.

A cozy cheap place to drink and the restaurant serves very good food. They do a quiz night every 3rd Thursday of the month with a different charity to focus on which is a great time. 4 stars and not 5 because they need to create better events that bring in an energetic crowd and improve on their advertising of membership draws and other events. Anyone can join but if you don't want to commit money you can get a trial membership free that lasts a month, this allows you to buy alcohol. What's to lose? Bonus: I hear they are getting free WiFi soon.

New chef in the kitchen. Now called Billy's Kitchen. WOW, WOW, WOW. Have never eaten so many dinners out. Cant help ourselves. Billy and his fabulous team are always smiling and just amazing to deal with. The menu is different every night, with Wednesday being 'make your own burger', Thursday 'blackboard menu', Friday is 'Fish & Chip' night, Saturday 'Indian or blackboard', Sunday '3 courses-Soup, Roast (2 meats), Desert. The prices are incredible too and Billy has 2 rules. What ever you put on your plate you must eat and no 2nd helpings. The RSA itself has a new lease on life with it's new lighting installed this week. The members are super friendly and welcoming and they are a member of Clubs NZ so definately worth joining. In saying that though you dont have to be a member to go in for a meal and you dont have to be ex-service to join. They are also family friendly with a small kids area around the corner from the kitchen.

Whoa what a great time we had on Saturday 15th September. I organized a surprise 60th birthday for my husband at the Hobbie RSA. This venue was "Simply the Best". Communications between the RSA staff, myself and our 66 guests was second to none. All my guests were delighted with the food. A big thank you guys for helping me pull this function off with no hiccups and giving me peace of mind. Kind regards Amanda Couper
