If you are looking for Chinese food during lunch hour in Henderson, this is the right place. Their lunch price is definitely good value for money and decent portion. The beef fried rice noodles was nice, with beef cooked just nice and not oily. Hapuka fish on rice was also nice with some veges and mushrooms for just $7. Food was served very fast after we ordered. They got grade A for hygiene so we will definately come back again for lunch.

Sitting on the main road going through the Henderson shops this family run place has got to be one of the best cheaper chinese restaurants out in this city. Sure it's nothing special, no excessive decorating, you have to go through kitchen to get to toilet, handwritten ..some misspelt extras to the menu written on card sheets on the wall and no flash tables or chairs, but we like it how it is that's why we keep coming back ...and back again. The service is friendly, good atmosphere, nice food and the price is really good especially when comparing what you get to other places out there. Anyway specifically about the food...we have tried several different dishes over time but have now come to the point where we love it so much that we just order the whole duck everytime...this is eaten two ways ( 两吃 ) and maybe sometimes we order some veges too. The duck is cooked well and I could eat a lot more than what is given on the plate. So delicious it is!!! Other dishes we have eaten there over time meet the same standards. It can get busy at times as it is popular ....more so with locals. But no doubt there has been a few out of towners wander in now and then. They do take out also. If you are after some decent not badly priced chinese in the area definitely try here.
I normally eat a particular dish at a restaurant out in Albany. However came across this place and was pleasantly surprised at how cheap their meals were. The roast duck dish was decent for the cheap price (only $8 for lunch). It isn't the best duck around but it surely did the job. I will certainly check this place more.
Nice food and BBQ duck really cheap. Provide lots of meet every time even in takeaway box.
However food there is not very clean, some times I got stomachache.
Very nice food, ridiculously tasteful! Nice portions for money. Beef brisket on rice was my faviourite. Staff are friendly, fairly good amount of English spoken by most staff so being lost in translation won't be a problem.👍Robyn Atley

This restaurant is under new management and I am loving it. The lunch menu is economical and scrumptious, in fact, the same nice stir fry dish with rice cost cheaper at lunch time than dinner time. If you want a quick meal, ask for bbq/roast meats options on rice. If you are a vegetarian, please ask carefully, as lots of Chinese dishes use meat & meat stock to bring out the flavour. The best dish is the bbq/roast duck, it's like a signature dish there.
Last note, as it's a Chinese restaurant, don't be shy to ask for service, ask for more rice or tea & raise your voice for attention; otherwise, you may not receive the service you deserve during the busy times. (This applies to most ethnic restaurants during busy times. You would know what I meant if you had been to Asian countries...)
Randomly stopped here for dinner last night. Food was really good. Taste, quality good and portions big. Was very cheap, just $10 for dinner. Staff and service was very good too. We had roast duck on rice and spicy chicken.
Food tastes great! Love their roast bbq pork and combination fried noodles. The green tea was yum! Will keep on coming back to order their roast pork and fried noodles. Not a fan of their pork spare ribs. It's ok but not the best I've had. For me it lacked taste. But overall, I enjoyed my dinner here.
Fu Lin used to be a family favourite of mine and decided to try it out since the owner changed. Not much has changed which is nice to know and the prices are rather familiar. Only problem is they made a mistake with our order and didn't really sort it out the way I would've liked but that's ok. Food was decent for a small Chinese restaurant and fairly authentic which is great. I feel like the proportions are slightly smaller now which is a disappointment. Still great quick Chinese food though. Giving a slightly higher score than I would rate for the dishes because of the complimentary soup and dessert which is always nice and never fails to taste great.
Have not been to this place for sometime. So decided to have lunch today with some friends. The service was good and friendly. The chef even came out to us to ensure that we made the right order. This was definitely good customer service. We ordered fried mee, rice and soup noodles. The taste was good and just right, not too salty. The prices were very reasonable and the serving was big too. We all enjoyed our meals. Definitely like to frequent this place more often now.
So if you are thinking of having some Chinese dishes, I strongly recommend that you give this place a go.
This is my family's regular for roast pork and Chinese food. Friendly staff and good service. Totally appreciate the complementary soup before the meal and dessert soup afterwards. Main faves: green beans stir fried with black preserved olives, fried squid and lemon chicken. Really wish they didn't charge for rice though, considering how much each dish costs.

We have been eating here fairly regulary. You can order take aways or dine in. Lunch is usually packed. Place is not the flashiest. Crispy Roast pork on rice is one of the cheapest I've seen. Very good portions, taste lovely. Though every now and then you will get the fatty ones. Overall it will satisfy your chinese food cravings
I like Fu lin kitchen, usually will come here to pick up quick lunch meal, great deal $8 duck on rice or bbq pork on rice. Always yummy. Fried rice is yum too.
Enjoyed the food, no heavy after taste. The duck and the best sweet sour pork I've had is definitely a winner. Good service. Yum!!

1/ Usually do takeout, but today, decided to do lunch, all very pleasant, away from the hustle and bustle of Westcity, but still just a pedestrian crossing away, most enjoyable.
2/ Drop in for dinner, didn’t disappoint as per photo.
3/ Saturday night dinner, steady patronage, a very nice enjoyable meal for two.
4/ another visit for Saturday lunch, under new ownership, standards are still high.
There's a lot of under rated Chinese places around and this is one of them. Anyone saying this place is grubby and needs their plates replaced obviously haven't been to Asia. The place is tidy and neat and has a good food safety rating, that is all you need. Other than that you would come here for the food. Chef here is consistent, and the place is run by a family. Expect hearing Cantonese because hey, you're at a Chinese restaurant. And do expect good range of tofu, duck, seafood dishes. Lunch is very cheap! So suggest going here than your local takeaways. Very generous with their veges and the choice of fish is Hāpuka! The staff are friendly and always can recommend a good eat.
Stopped here on the weekend, the food was really scrumptious, the service was superb, the decor is very nicely done, the only reason the atmosphere only got 3 stars was that there were only 2 tables occupied when I was there so it was quiet
It’s the most authentic Chinese food I have tried in Auckland so far. Absolutely delicious. After having lived in Shanghai for 9 years, this restaurant’s food is the closest to Chinese authentic food as it can be. I totally recommend it to you 👍
Not the fanciest place but the food is so AMAZINGLY GOOD! Lunch is so cheap as and the serving is heaps for one person and in fact two people can share one plate Lol! I got a rost duck on rice for $11 and upgrade my white rice to fried rice for $3 and I'm a happy customer.

I went here with a group of my church friends for my birthday and really enjoyed it - the food and also the experience. Prior to arriving, a few friends got to the place and told the staff it was my birthday and they hung a birthday sign on the wall near our table which was very sweet. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely.
