My husband and I either eat here or order takeaways at least 3 times a week. Good food, friendly owners and the desserts are so super delicious. Highly recommend this place.
I'd tried many wonton soups in most parts of Asian and all over the world ... I must say this is the best.
This couple cooked quality stuff with their hearts.
Great yummy Malaysian food. Used to be good before they sold it and now its even better!!! Well done!

Great Malaysian and Singaporean food. One of the closest
to home. Also really good service from the owners and prices are reasonable for the portion size. Give the Mee Goreng, Prawn noodles, Laksa and Chicken rice a try. They are doing takeaways during Level 3. Great job!
5 stars just for the durian cake. I've been homesick, and it was perfect. The char kway teow could have had a bit more wok hay, but it was still the best I've eaten recently in Auckland.
All time favorite Malaysian restaurant! Very authentic! The cakes are also heavenly.

Nice, authentic and reasonably priced Malaysian food. Around $15 on average. We like to order their char kway teow, wan tan hor and kon low mee. Occasionally they would sell siu baos (bbq pork pastry) and cung tze (sticky rice with meat) as well. I see they also do durian layers crepe, they are about $8 each slice.
Very delicious Malaysian dish. I like their home Nasi lemak curry chicken most.Very delicious Malaysian dish. I like their home Nasi lemak curry chicken most.
I come here very often because this is one of my all-time favourite Malaysian places to eat. So far I like all the food that I've eaten here - and I've eaten lots. Their portions are good, their taste is good, the service is friendly, and the meal portions are pretty hefty = great value for money. Although it's a smaller shop than a typical restaurant, I really don't mind it. Among my favourite meals are their chow kuey teow, wonton / char siew dry noodles, curry laksa, and for durian lovers (you'd either love or hate durians), their durian layer crepe cake is to die for...! Funny I come here so often and I realised I've hardly taken any photos. I'll try to do that and upload in future. Highly recommended for a cosy Malaysian cuisine experience.
Really good Malaysian food. They have the normal items as well as some of the less common items. The wall has pictures of their food. Their char kwei tiew is nice as is their wan ton mee. They have crepe cake to seel by the slice in the cabinet up front. They also have goodies on sale on the counter including cookies and fried sea weed.
Nice place to grab some food if you're in the area.
Yummy food! One of our fave restos to visit when craving Malaysian. Consistent with the taste and the portions are big. Such good value for money!
if you like CREPES and you like DURIAN, this is the BEST place to get DURIAN crepes as well as TIRAMISU crepes (these 2 are my favourites). i think they use FRESH Thai durians, so CREAMY and DELICIOUS ! their malay foods themselves taste good (i have tasted better somewhere else).
I have been to this Cafe many times. It's not a very big place but normally quite a reasonably big crowd especially during the weekend. There is no parking problem. Service is as expected. The food is tasty and the serving is reasonable. If you are looking for some good Malaysian food, don't miss this place.
Great place, very authentic Malaysian food.
Good value for money and plenty of variety. The restaurant has been renovated and is looking very nice and clean. I highly recommend coming here.
This is one of my favourite places to go whenever I crave for Malaysian foods. The foods here especially the Singapore fried prawn mee and curry laksa noodle are delicious! The other Malaysian dishes are authentic and lovely too, such as wat tan hor (cantonese fried rice noodle), hokkien mee, sambal fried rice, and many more.
The menu along with price indications are prominently and clearly displayed on the blackboard above the counter. The lady owner there is very friendly, humble and approachable. She bakes quite a huge variety of cakes, all of them taste good though, not overly sweet. Their durian layer cake is especially yummy.
She cooks and makes good Malaysian Chinese dumplings too, probably this is one of the very few cafes or restaurants that sell such dumplings. The prices of the foods are very reasonable.
Worth trying out the foods there!

My partner and I get cake all the time from this cafe, it’s always delicious and fresh. They sell handmade Malaysian style snacks at the counter, which remind me of Chinese New Year in Malaysia 🇲🇾. I’ve also been here for dinner before, the food is decent and doesn’t cost too much. Great little local gem 💎 The owners are lovely too.
KL Cafe exceeded our expectations. We got the Lobak roll, wonton noodles (not sure of exact name), char kuey teow noodles and 2x roti. It was all delicious and not at all greasy. All up it cost $34 - absolute bargain. Plus, the decor of the place is quite lovely - clearly a lot of effort has been put in to make the place nice, and it really pays off - the presentation of the food was impressive too. A real hidden gem in West Auckland, I’m just disappointed it took us so long to find it!
Haven't tried a lot of Malaysian restaurants but I recommend this one from my experience.
We had roti with curry chicken, salted fish and chicken fried rice, salt and pepper squid, beef rendang and their crepe cakes.
I enjoyed everything that we ate, everything was packed with flavour. I loved their beef rendang because it had sweetness in it and it was a great match with their freshly made roti. NOM.
Pretty much loved everything except for the curry that came with the roti - didn't really had much flavour and felt that the consistency was too thin for the roti.
I also liked their crepe cakes, we tried quite a few flavours, durian, strawberry, blueberry and tiramisu. My favourite was the blueberry crepe. I personally recommend the beef rendang, roti, salt and pepper squid and the crepe cake.
We happened to pop by once for dinner and have been back 3x in the past 2 weeks! The curry chicken nasi lemak was good, the char kway Teow had enough favour and the best were the crepe cakes! Tried the durian, blueberry and tiramisu each time we went back and will highly recommend the durian! So flavourful and yummy - not too sure if they used actual durian, but hey, tasted good for what you can get in Auckland! Very friendly boss as well.
The Ko Lo wan ton mee is delicious, with chewy noodles and succulent char siew in a tasty dark sauce, and juicy wan tons in soup. For a great price. Just like my childhood favorite Penang Tok tok mee. 5*
Amazing authentic malaysian food!! Dessert and coffee available. I love love their durian crepes! Place is well decorated and very clean, food is authentic and reasonable. No problem with parking! I highly recommend this place!
A lovely little Malaysian restaurant that sells unique crepe layered cakes in different flavours. But being Malaysian, my favourite is the Durian one! Yum! It is light and fluffy and all things durian. Definitely do try it. I also noticed they sell Siew bao (which is a toasted pastry filled with bbq pork), will have to come to try get hold of them.
Main dishes wise, we thought they were all slightly too salty. The chicken rice has really good flavours but the wat tan hor was below our standards.
Amazing, amazing durian crepe cakes! The best in Auckland, really. The cakes are the perfect blend of smooth crepes and durian flavour that isn't overly sweet or creamy. Brought a friend from Singapore over to this place to try the durian crepe cake as well and even he said this place has the best durian dessert he's ever had - no small feat considering the plethora of durian desserts in Southeast Asia. We also had the strawberry crepe cake and that was delicious too. Would definitely recommend to others!
Marmite Chicken was great, super affordable and perfect sized portion. Also got steamed buns which were on the appetiser menu so I assumed they were savoury but they were sweet, unexpected but sill pretty tasty. A little chewy and dense but but as far as surprises go they weren't disappointing. Really great customer service, warm and inviting. Highly recommend as a takeaway option!

We have always enjoyed eating at KL cafe. The food is not that much authentic Malaysian but it is good enough, if you are not that fussy, you will actually enjoy it. They also have durian crepe cake which are a rare find in Auckland and will definitely make you come back for more.
Didn't enjoy the laksa at all; far too watery. On the otherhand, I was impressed at the flavour of the char kuey teow - could always be smokier but still pretty good.
Noticed a lot of their durian cakes flying out the door; will need to try this as it looks like a super popular option!
I look forward to revisiting.
Keep going back for more. Just had a laksa last week. Back again for Redeng Beef. Eat Tan Hor was good too. This place was recommended to us by local Malaysians. Glad we took the advice
Not the cheapest. Not the quantity over quality type neither.
If you want authentic Malaysian dishes, this is the place
Often visited by me and my work colleges for a Friday lunch! Place is a bit average in appearance but they make some very tasty food at a pretty good price! Make sure you try the salt and pepper squid..Yum! Service is always good and meals come out fairly quick
5 out of 5!! Had their prawn mee,
dumplings and satay chicken. So good, tastes exactly like the ones back home (China and Malaysia). Will definitely revisit! Very friendly boss as well, give this warm little cozy place a try, you won't regret it!
Authentic tasting takeaways with real flavour. Good but still cheap, our new favourite takeaway as they are fast and delicious. Shop isn't much to look at but with a good food hygiene rating it doesn't matter.
If you are looking for authentic Malaysian cuisine with reasonable price, then this is the place. The environment may look a little unpleasant, but I thought they have maintained the food quality quite well, friendly owner I might add. :)
This place seems to have really turned around. The food is much better and generally seems quite busy. The Nasi lemak is great and the cajes are nice too.
Excellent authentic Malaysian food..this place is frequented by mainly localised Malaysian people who know their own foods.
This is by far one of my favourite Malaysian restaurants in Auckland. Do not simply be put off by its simple decor or table setting because what you get is fresh and authentic Malaysian fare at very reasonable prices (compared to Bunga Raya Restaurant's in nearby New Lynn) and large helpings. The mains are priced between $10 and $15, and I would strongly recommend their prawn noodles, mee goreng (stir-fried noodles Malaysian-style) and char kway tiao (stir-fried rice noodles in dark soy sauce). It's got an 'A' rating for its food hygiene and the service is without a doubt impeccable. Closed on Mondays.
This KL cafe has some options for Malaysian Cuisine and pretty good for the value. Nice people, nice foods, our favorites are nasi goreng sambal, char kwai diao, and wan tan hor.
Went in to KL cafe for some lunch , was great service, a hot tea was brought Vince seated , we placed our order and both came in no time , both were with coming in for pictures speak a thousand words , the laksa bbq was rich full in flavor, the Assam fish dish was no exception, fantastic , go in and have a try . Owners are lovely friendly people . Sorry how could I forget the Durian crape cake fantastic.
Char Kuay Teow is really great Wok Hei, and sweet and sour pork is really delicious as the meat is fully seasoned! Nice owner, very friendly. Will back for their crepe cake!
One of the hidden gems in Kelston, we travel a fair bit of distance to go dine here. The malaysian chinese food is good and reasonably priced.
The pièce de résistance are the crepe cakes, durian crepe cake is my fav.
One of our favourite place for lunch and dinner. It was not a very big place but sitting was comfortable. Pleasant atmosphere. Service was good and friendly. The food was tasty and the serving was reasonable. Prices were affordable. Many parking spaces. If you like to taste some authentic Malaysian dishes, do not miss this cafe. Maybe with a piece of cake for your dessert. Strongly recommended.
Best Durian crepe cake and Tofu! Also fish rice noodle soup so delicious
Nice Fish Collar noodle soup and wonderful crepe cake.
Love the char kwei tiau ..authentic flavour ensure match with the sambal ..the fish head noodle soup is good as well. The portion is great and the durian crepe is the best as you can tasted the durian meat inside .. prices are reasonable as well with lot of parking.
Amazing food! Make sure you try the lombak roll, home made tofu and beef rendang, they are exceptional! Also don't sleep on the crepe cakes.

Highly Recommended taro cheese cake.
Really good Malaysian food. They have the normal items as well as some of the less common items. Their char kwei tiew is nice as is their wan ton mee. They have crepe cake to sell by the slice in the cabinet up front. They have lots of different flavours including durian if you like that. They also have goodies on sale on the counter including cookies and fried sea weed.
Nice place to grab some food if you're in the area. Quite a nice and quaint cafe with really tasty Malaysian food.
Edit: Most recently we had takeaway of wan tan mee, sambal chicken rice and the Nonya Fried Rice. They were all really nice but I quite liked the wat tan mee. It had a nice sauce and nice toppings. The sambal was also quite nice but it wasn't super spicy.
