Honestly I still feel Good One Cafe shadow here in the new opening Little&Friday.
Open space counts. Soft light from the high ceiling counts. Little green pops on the table by your side counts. Industrial interior is actually not too stiff. It is people who come and go delights the whole place.
You can order without menu if you are quite a Little&Friday fan. Quiche, fritters, the Donuts, salad.... Almost every little bite is an apple of the eye. And of course some tastebuds surprise.
Coffee is regular comparing to Good One, however, try organic tea with kiwiana flavour such as Kawakawa herbal tea, refreshing for your carbohydrates lunch bite.
People make eye contact or even start a real conversation by the long table. You just enjoy this harmony created by a coffee place.
Yes. We are all connected through food. Don't we?? ^^
Never disappoints. Cakes are always made to perfection. Spooky for choice, the hardest part is choosing what to get.
I love how they give you toy/figurine animals as your table numbers.
Nice open spaces in this cafe but be warned parking is not easy to find on this street. Food and coffee was good but service a little lacking on the day we went there as there was a 25 minute wait for a coffee and a scone and there were not too many customers.
Had lunch at little and Friday cafe on a Friday afternoon during my lunch break with 2 friends. There weren't many clean tables, which we noticed many staff busily hurried around moving food in the cabinets and behind the counter, but not cleaning the tables....
We ordered at the counter, the girl was super friendly and helped us choose our food. When we moved to go sit down, finally someone cleaned our table and no one brought us water until we asked.
Apart from that, the food was super yummy and I would recommend this place!
Called in here for a coffee, heard a lot about this place. The coffee was beautifully smooth and full of flavour, one of the nicest I've ever had.
A really pleasant surprise to have complimentary sparkling water with fresh sprig of mint and a stick of cinnamon- I could come back here just for their water.
We will be back for food, didn't have time this visit.
Parking was easy.
Soft Jazz playing in the background. Coffees great. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast and friendly. Not too crowded. Definitely a yes.
Caramel, chocolate, peanut butter donut. Yes. If you are someone like me who is a big yeEA BOI to any of those flavours go get them in the donut here bc @god thank u for this blessing. Also very nice seating and a big spacious area that is light

Tucked into a back alley in Ponsonby is this little gem. I keep meaning to sit here and sample the menu, but their doughnuts keep distracting me. Their doughnuts are the best in town and for $5 a pop, its very pocket friendly. My favourite is the creme ones, but the salted caramel and creme brulee ones are delicious as well. A word of advice: do not eat them in public. Its a messy, covered-your-face-in-powdered-sugar kinda affair.
The most unreal doughnut I've ever had. I chose the chocolate, caramel and peanut one and my partner had the coffee & amaretto one. DEFINITELY too much to have one each, so I'd say unless you're majorly hungry to share one between two as I feel so sick after having 3/4 of mine. I also ordered the green tea with rose petals and it's the nicest tea I've ever tried however my partner didn't enjoy his coffee.
Would definitely come back here for morning/afternoon tea! But won't attempt to eat a whole doughnut alone again.
Cafe is a nice spacious layout with lots of light and room.
Great brunch spot- coffee wasn't fantastic but still good. They had run out of honeycomb and blue cheese when we were there, but staff quickly informed us of this and offered substitute menu items for the same price as original dish!
Crumpet dish was delicious
I would say "hidden gem" because the Ponsonby branch of Little and Friday is tucked away in a backstreet, with a surprisingly bright and loft-like feel behind what looks just like an industry warehouse from the outside. However, it is a popular cafe with a well known reputation and therefore there is not much "hidden" about it.
Nonetheless, this cafe doesn't disappoint in terms of decadent and well baked goods. I came here for breakfast a few weeks ago with a friend who ordered the steak and blue cheese pie, and I enjoyed the granola with yoghurt panacotta which was a wonderful light breakfast dish. Great service, however, a little on the pricey side, even for Ponsonby.
Overall, I would recommend dining here to enjoy the relaxed feel of the cafe while enjoying some top shelf baked foods, but be prepared to spend a little more than usual.
The most amazing lunch here with My Aunty. Had the chocolate salted caramel filled donut, berry bread and butter pudding with custard, the pea, feta and mint tart and another quiche between us. We walked out both feeling a little sick cause we ate waaaay too much - but it was hard to stop as every mouthful was so good. Will definitely be back!
My mother was in town and I really wanted her to experience Little & Fridays. I'd tried both the Takapuna and Newmarket joints and have always come away sastified (I spelt that incorrectly on purpose)
It's nestled at the bottom of the hill down Ponsonby Tce, rather inconspicuous, we thought we'd accidentally walked passed it for a second but the bright plain white painted building ahead told me were on track.
It was a late lunch so we had missed the lunch rush, unfortunately what that meant was a limited selection from the cabinet which is normally bursting with tasty treats full of vibrancy and lusciousness.
We had a Roast Pepper Galette, a Chicken and Avo sammie and a Mushroom Risotto cake. All food was simple and stunning. To wash the lunch down we ordered an Iced Coffee, this came in an enormous tall glass which would give The Longest Drink In Town a run for its money and a fresh orange juice, beautifully presented in a tall glass bottle.
My only gripe was around the 2 staff listening to the Fugees album near the coffee machine, each song the music got turned up further and further, Roots Manuva started playing and it got turned to the volume where conversing became tricky. Even though the lunch rush was over, would've been nice to be given the courtesy of being able to talk without competing with a stereo.
In saying that I will always come back to little & Fridays as it never fails to please.
Nice, spacious place! Quick lunch, toasted sammy and lovely coffee. Staff are always around to clear tables etc. Chilling background music... :)
At 1 pm they still have a nice amount of cabinet food you can chose from.
Will definitely return. ;)
Such a vibrant, cute cafe. Lovely flowers, vases and colourful prints compliment the crisp white walls. The cabinet never disappoints but I decided to venture out this time and try something from the menu. The crumpets with honeycomb and whipped butter instantly caught my eye. They came beautifully presented with real honeycomb! The dish was delicious but very very sweet. I enjoyed it but you have to have a real sweet-tooth and like honey!
Best cafe experience in a long time!!! First of all such a cool atmosphere. Really big airy space, lots of light and some cool art that fitted the space.
The cabinet food was presented really beautifully. I got a walnut brioche and a pesto frittata both of which the staff warmed up without asking and presented really nicely! Something lacking in a lot of cafes.
The food was really good, but really rich. Small things will fill you up!
Another stand out was the coffee, my flat white was great. My friend wasn't too keen on her long black on ice as was quite tangy, however this would have been personal preference on the blend of supreme beans.
Would definitely return next time I'm after a cafe in Ponsonby. Love that its set back from the usual hustle of Ponsonby.
If anything would be great if some form of cloth was put over the cabinet as there were a few flies but nothing major. Great experience.
The place is so warm and welcoming. Their cabinet food looks amazing too. Especially the tarts and their doughnuts are definitely a must-try! Great place to satisfy those sweet cravings ;)

Replacing the phenomenal Good One by Supreme, Little and Friday have expanded to Ponsonby! If you're a Little and Friday fan, you will be pleased to know that this outlet has more seating space compared to New Market but as expected, it's still hard to find a spot due to their popular status.
We ordered our sweet treat to take away. Their doughnuts are a must but it's hard not to be tempted with the gorgeous selection in the cabinet.
Coffee - strong. Service - friendly. Food - Delicious.
Little and Friday is one of my favourites so I had to check out the new Ponsonby store! It's lovely and spacious and they have a day breakfast menu. It was too late in the day to order off the menu so we chose cabinet food. We had a coffee, soda, yum yum slice, and banoffee pie. So good!
A hidden gem! A great place to catch up with friends. The food looks amazing and taste so so good. I highly recommend the chocolate, beetroot and salted caramel cake along with a flat white. perfect.
Little and Friday's cabinet food is the stuff of legends. Beautifully crafted food which is almost too damn pretty to eat.
First time trying their Ponsonby store...very funky space. The chocolate, peanut and salted caramel doughnut was a hit!
The roller doors of 42 Douglas Street weren’t long down before they were lifted up again to reveal an eatery that’s worth checking out if you haven’t already.
Naturally-lit, this loft-like space is light, bright and houses the relaxed atmosphere of Little and Friday’s newest store.
In-between leafy plants and magazines stacks are single coffee-bar stools and communal dining tables inviting you in to take a seat.
Subduing our sweet treat cravings is a bold glass cabinet which spans the back wall of the eatery. Packed with Little and Friday staples, you’re sure to find something perfect to match your brew in hand.
If your anything like me and always on the look out for a new coffee spot, look no further. Little and Friday provides us with a distraction-less, de-stressed oasis just 7 minutes out from the CBD.
The coffee is great and the sweet treats but the salad was not for me but my friend loved it, I would recommend to come here during the week it can get quite busy
L&FC's new joint on Douglas street is great. W. Lots of seating inside and out. We arrived @ 9am for brekkie and were able to grab a large table between the 4 of us and by 9.30, the pl was starting to pump. Just like Woodworks, because it's in a large, open space, when it's busy the sound is magnified, but that's not a bad thing @ all.
L&FC Pons rolls their food out @ diff stages throughout the am too. See their website for when your fave comes out. We were hoping for a more substantial brekkie menu, but settled on their version of a bacon & egg pie, porridge and choc brioche and they weren't bad. A little cold, but nothing their hot coffee couldn't fix and it was really busy by the time we ordered. Ideal for morning and afternoon tea visits. Their sweet treats always like amazing. Nice job guys!
My favorite cafe/bakery from Ponsonby!
Best place for morning coffee or take away/picnic lunch.
Always gets surprised from their food.
Highly recommend.
You will get soil from Ponsonby sprites!
Great place for coffee break, catch up with friends, comfortable environment, we had Pear Almonds tart and Coconut berries muffin, just lovely to have afternoon tea boost up energy, tart is good sugar balance, lots of mums brought baby here and catch up with friends.
My favourite café in Auckland. It's a bit hidden from the rest. Great seats, friendly staff and amazing dishes and coffee. A lovely place to start the day.
Wow, this place was amazing. Loved the food, drinks and atmosphere.
Lovely spot for a cake and coffee... incredible food, stylish atmosphere and attentive staff!
Coffe was great, didn't even need sugar
Cheese stick was amazing, corissant pastry with cheese and rosemary
Cakes all had a special deliciousness about them
Amazing coffee here! Came here for breakfast with work mates and I would highly recommend the Rosti if you want to be full for the whole day!
A little bit expensive in comparison with other places (around $20 for the lunch), but meals are quite tasty. Desserts are delicious!
Great coffee and service :)
Best little breakfast place!
