we ordered cocktails, lemon pepper squid, meat madness platter, five spiced pork ribs, burger tower and their charcoal pulled pork bun! I would highly recommend their ribs - my favourite dish of the night as they nailed the flavouring. I would definitely drive all the way from to Lynfield for them! I also really enjoyed their meat platter, every element tasted amazing - it also comes with more ribs 😉 yes The only downside was the handmade meatballs which tasted a little hard. The lemon pepper squid was fried to perfection and was the perfect starter. The burger tower was decent too. Their charcoal pulled pork bun didn’t wow me and felt like there was something missing. I think it lacked flavour compared to the other dishes we ordered. The cocktails were amazing and honestly so affordable compared to other places! Will definitely be back☺️
Went there after work on a Friday evening. The place was pretty good and not too crowded for a Friday night. Good atmosphere and we were pleasantly surprised with the amazing flavours of the food and a decent selection of cocktails. In general, it’s pretty good value, though the service is a tad slow. The meat platter is a must have for any meat lovers. The five spice ribs were cooked to perfection and falls off the bone! My personal fave gotta be the charcoal pulled pork bao! Amazingly tender and flavourful pulled pork nested in fluffy steamed bun with a good helping of Asian slaw. Yum in my tum!
Came in the restaurant with groupon vouchers. I ordered the entree nachos and they were huge!! The main lamb course and pork ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. Food took around 25 mins to come but I was fine since I had company. Mints were so cute!! Overall it was enjoyable but without the vouchers I would consider the food expensive.
Went for breakfast. Great service, helpful and friendly staff. Food was delicious. Nice atmosphere as well. Will definitely go again and soon

as previous reviewer, platter is suitable for 1 person only, my voucher was for 4 so had 1 of each platters had to have burgers after to satisfy hunger, voucher has value of $121 2 platters 4 drinks, was not worth $121 upside niece loved the dark choc mousse and our waitress was lovely
Love the ambience of this place. Nice and quiet for a romantic dinner. Waitress greeted us and gave the right amount of time to choose our meals. Food was extraordinarily yumm. Ordered 2 meat shared platters and they were cooked to perfection. Meatballs flavourful and short ribs falling off bone.! Only downside were the drinks! Ordered smoothies and a milkshake and they weren’t good at all didn’t drink half way. But would return for food.
reat place to meet with a group and have share plates and drinks. All the food I've tried on their menu is amazing and the coffee are fantastic too. The courtyard out the front is usually busy and the place has a great vibe. Friendly service.
Theres not many good cafes around Lynfield area, Lovely dinner, Service and food were fantastic, they were very helpful with my dietary needs and very friendly...

Went here for dinner. We had the GroupOn voucher. First we ordered drinks, it was good. The whole meal was good-entree, mains, dessert. The only complain i have is that the food took time to arrive. We arrived at 7:00 pm and we finished all the meals at 9:00. Was a bit of a wait for everything.

When we walked in it looked a very pleasant place,and the staff made us very welcome. We both ordered the bigger breakfast. The Groupon voucher allowed soft drinks, but I ordered a coffee, which was very nice. I have never had or attempted to eat such a big meal but I scoffed it down I REALLY enjoyed it, I like the way they got my order right as I like crispy bacon and eggs well done and they got it just right. They serve dinners at the end of the week, so we will definitely go for dinner and we are willing to pay
Bought a groupon deal for 4 people and all my families are satisfied with there orders, we will definitely go back to this place again. Very nice and accommodating staff.
Surprised to discover this little gem does a great breakfast. Scrambled eggs we perfect and the flat mushrooms spot on. Coffee is ok not amazing and service a tad slow, which didn't matter on a cruisey Saturday. Returning this morning for more!
The food at the Chilli Bar is absolutely beautiful! We went on a Sunday Midday and were very happy with the level of service. The food was tad slow coming to our tables but it was well worth the wait!
After being away (for work) on an All Black Tour for just over 3 weeks it was a pleasure to return to my favourite spot. As always I was greeted with courtesy and a smile by night host Tony Mathew. We talked work, the happenings in the world and of course our fav topic the rugby. I tried a new version (chicken) of an old favourite on the menu and I must say I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it as much as I did. (I'm not a fan of Cajun chicken) This place suits all of my needs and wants both in the morning and evening. As a heavy traveller around NZ I have many cafe-bar type favs that I frequent because of how they cater for my needs, to return home and have that in my own back yard is an added bonus, hence my frequent visits when I am back. Great place to watch sports and enjoy a few beverages. The manager Tony is good company and often provides great alternative commentary on the cricket.
My Wife and I are local to this place, but never had been there always driving further out of the area for good food, for the past 20 years tried it loved it and will return, and no need to drive. Thank you Chilli Bar & Cafe
I love this place so so much! Best decision I ever made to buy a groupon coupon for this. Bought two and made my boyfriend buy two! Unfortunately, 2 per person was the max we could buy :( we basically went every week for a month :)

Been here with friends for breakfast, good service and nice food! I ordered chicken club sandwich, it was awesome! Will definitely come back and try out other foods.
Food was delicious, on time & waiters are friendly. Nice layout of the place too! There is also a gaming lounge which you don't see. Waiters were always there to collect after a meal.
My husband and I came here using Groupon voucher overall great service and good food. Presentation was very good and professional. They forgot about our side order and it came late they offered it to us for free and the Only let down was that salmon was meant to be "char grilled" but it was definitely pan fried. Apart from that we are satisfied, great staff and good portion sizes!
The bar owner and staff are cool to talk to. This place has good entertainment and is a nice quiet spot to have a a few (or a lot) of drinks with friends. the kitchen serves great food too.
So it was for lunch that my partner and I decided to try this place out... We bought Groupon voucher for this... I personally didn't see anything amazing or unique in sorts. Hence my reason for lower rate. Place was clean and spacious... It needed some painting maybe. However, good place to watch sporty events or drinks with mates. But not for dinner or lunch date.
Great to have somewhere really close to home that serves up yummy kai - nice service and quite a lovely setting too. The only thing I would recommend to the hosts is that, when we arrived there was only one other couple in the whole restaurant and we were seated right next to them when we could have been given a spot with a bit more privacy; also it's better if the menus are given to you once you're seated - only little picky things, nothing major, a nice dining experience overall and will definitely be back! Oh we had the scallops, calamari, fish of the day (snapper), lamb shank, creme brûlée & chocolate fondant. I loved the calamari & brûlée were my faves, snapper was yum, slightly over cooked but still delicious :-)
Got a grab one voucher for here last month so was great value for money. My sidekick and I ordered the big breakfast each - both meat and vegetarian options were pretty good. Eggs were done well! Would return if out this way, only down side is its not so central.
I bought the voucher off groupon and the food is ssoooo good.. he had the big breakfast and I had the steak meal !!! really recommend and have gone back again with my husband .. he had the big breakfast again and I had eggs Benedict with bacon.. sooo good and everything was cooked perfectly :)
Food was surprisingly good here, wouldn't think that it would be just because of the location but I was pleasantly surprised. Although the second time I dined here, the eggs in the eggs benedict was slightly over cooked but still quite delicious. Meals are well worth the price, portions are big enough to keep you full for days!
I got the voucher here and dined with my partner, not many staff were working so the took a while to be delivered - the eggs benedict my partner ordered was described as nothing short of delicious - the double patty burger I got was perfectly cooked and a VERY generous portion. The staff working were welcoming and very polite.

Had a lovely brunch with my family, nice food and atmosphere. My french toast was delicious, really liked the candy floss as a garnish! Giving 4 stars as my daughter's pancakes from the kid's menu were a bit too dry, and needed an extra serving of maple syrup. Atmosphere is lovely but it is a rather rlarge space and it was quite cold and drafty inside. I don't believe the air conditioner was on and I personally think it should have been turned on as it's still winter.
I enjoyed my food, service is good. Atmosphere was quiet, clean, and entertaining. Flavourful, and loved the display of food on my plate.

Lamb shank was delicious. Seafood pasta, could use larger portion of "pasta", not very filling. Pepper Squid entree yummy. Service was very friendly and efficient. Too brightly lit. Sports bar ambience is distracting. They should seperate restaurant from sports bar.
Food was good, coffee was nice and hot as asked for....food came out fast. Only issue for me was that there were muffins sitting on bench top uncovered the whole time we were there and visible to those dining in.
Coffee is fast, staff are hardworking and awesome, and the bacon egg muffin on display is hearty. The coffee coupon cards also mean you are getting your 5th coffee free. There are even some pokie machines out the back if you are that way inclined and are keen on a cheeky press tehuhuhuhuhu

Love their Blueberry Muffins!! Always a treat to have with my coffee on a Sunday Morning. Their brownies are also delish!! Staff are always cheerful and friendly. Well worth a visit for dining in too. Cheers Chilli!!

The young woman who works here makes a really good coffee. When I go with my grandchildren she always brings their fluffies first - always a good sign when the staff recognize that children are often impatient for their drink/snack! We always sit near the impressive display of Lego and Transformers - a big hit with the kids. Very friendly and efficient service.

I moved into the area just under a year ago and I was looking for a place that i can relax in, enjoy a good meal, and a cold beer while I watch my favourite sports game, Chilli Bar and Cafe catered for all of this . . . Well, very well in fact.
I frequent here often when I am back in Auckland after my heavy traveling, the bar is always clean and tidy with a simplistic, stylish enough decor and great soft lighting for all occasions. The dinners I have had here (and I've had meals here often) are superb! Recently the menu changed and well it was already good, now it's great and I've enjoyed all of the different meals I have chosen. Tony Mathew your night time host is simply superb. Always greeting you with a smile, he takes the time to know your name, know your drink preference and converse with you on many topics. A great host! More recently I have dropped in to enjoy a good (like really good) coffee and a really nice breakfast. If your in the neighbourhood then I recommend you drop in, it's a hidden little gem this place and I'll be a frequent visitor for a long time to come. Cheers
