Ok. So I went back and forth on this place based of the reviews and the stereotypes that appear in your head from the name and decor - but I took a leap as they are open late.
Glad I did. Food and service is lovely - the smell is divine. Taste is great.
They may have issues with consistently based on the reviews but this is now on my rotation list for local restaurants.
Price is great - I see some comments on meat quantity, but the price is reflective. I would take a higher price for more meat and less sauce but I get the compromise.
Looking forward to going again.

Picked up a quick takeaway for today’s lunch. Very warm and welcoming service and the food is great! This will become our new go-to Indian takeaway!

Ordered chicken Vindaloo and chicken kadhai. Both the curry were superb. Thought kadhai was little sweet but nice.

We ordered vegetarian curry with Indian bread. Our takeaway experience was fantastic. The guy named Chetan took our order very well and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
We had chicken Tikka masala, butter chicken and lamb saag with garlic Naan and lamb biryani. The food is made fresh and so delicious! We enjoyed it very much. So pleased we found this place!
First time having a curry here and I'm very impressed. Extremely tasty. The staff are friendly here. Will definitely be back to try all the rest of the curries also I highly recommend this place. Super great curry flavours.
Be careful! If you visit it once, you might visiting it infinite ♾🤤💕..! You will get tasty food at very cheaper prices I have ever seen in Auckland 😋 Also, they are open till 1 AM. What else do you need? 😉
My partner and I have eaten out from many Indian restaurants in Auckland and the wider North Island. This is the best. I'm not sure if they were just having an off day for the small number of 1-stars in the reviews, but we've eaten here many times over the years and have NEVER had an issue. More accurately, they've always been excellent- always.

Food tastes delicious, prompt cooking (usually only 15 to 20 minutes) and great value compared to Paradise where we used to go.
Came off a late movie at Westfield Stlukes and craving Biriyani. Both giants of the area Bawarchi and Paradise closed at midnight hour and only this was open. Didn't have any expectations but OH MAN. That portion, that soft chunks of chicken in the biriyani paired with raita and the lovely wee boy taking orders. At the rate of 16$ this place beats Bawarchi and Paradise in every angle at the biriyani game! Open till 1am too! Not to forget, I'm die hard fan of Bawarchi but oh this place!
This is our go to for Indian food. They never disappoint. We have tried most of the Indian places in the neighborhood and no one is as consistently good.
