I love lord of the fries, it gives me an option to eat normal fast food. I've been eating it since it opened in Auckland. The "chicken burger" is my favorite. The chips are awesome, the sauces are amazing and you wouldn't know they are vegan. Even eat eaters I know even lovee LOTF.Most things on the menu are 10/10. Some comments over the years; they changed the buns and I preferred the older ones. These ones are a big dry. The chicken wings they use to have served in a munch box were THE BEST FAKE CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I used to message LOTFs asking them to sell them individually because you used to have to buy a munch box with a tonne of chips to get 2 wings. They would do so well to sell individually. HOWEVER, it looks like it is no longer on the menu at all :( Bring them back! they are incredible . thee gravy has improved soooooo much.
Con:would also add, the prices have increased a lot.
Stopped in here a while back for a light snack and was very pleased with the service as me and my bestie got our fries within 5 minutes, the prices are a tad bit pricy i’d say just for fries as they tasted quite ordinary. The place is very cramped as they only have about 3 tables where u can sit and they’re not even inside, they’re like right outside. Probably won’t be back here unless it’s a last minute run in x
Came by for dinner. There isn't a lot of table space but there are a few outside the shop. There is quite a selection of food including burgers and hotdogs. We grabbed a combo each. We grabbed a table after ordering and it was delivered to us. I had the hotdog with the kumara fries. The toppings on the hotdog was ok but I didn't like the hotdog itself, mostly because of the texture. It was almost like the canned Vienna sausages. The onion rings and fries were really good though. You also get to pick a dipping sauce for your fries and they have quite a few to choose from. They are good hot but once they get cold they get quite soggy.
A friend had the parma burger and that was better than the hotdog so it could be a hand and miss type place. I would go back for the fries though since they are quite good and you get a decent portion of them.
not much to say except this place has great vegan food and their chips and sauces are super tasty! they also have moustache cookies - the cookies and cream one is amazing
I go in person every now and then but I order from Uber Eats very often. Definitely my favourite place to eat from, sooo delicious. I haven’t eaten meat for 8 or 9 years and can’t remember the flavour of it, so can’t compare their fake meat to real stuff. Pretty much tho it all tastes really good, tried many of the different things on the menu and have yet to dislike it. Even my mates who are hard-core meat-eaters, those kind of people who bash vegans and vegetarians, enjoyed the food. The only downside is it’s so good I order too much sometimes and over eat lol. Overall, it’s bloody nice so try it. Not to mention it’s great for the earth, no farming cows for beef using great amounts of land and water and damaging waterways etc etc. All the packaging is sustainable as well (made from cardboard/paper etc) other than the tiny plastic lids of sauce pottles. Still tho, I can feel good about myself, animals and the earth when I eat from here. So ye, enough said.
An awesome option for vegetarians but not only limited-meat eaters would really enjoy too! Super delicious and well worth the money too. Ordered the Phish burger and fries. Very good quality and friendly staff.
Husband recommended coming here, I was a bit apprehensive being a meat eater I really wondered if this place would be suitable for me. He had the Melbourne hot dog which was surprisingly delicious. I would get this for myself next time. I had the HSP fries without the Sriracha sauce(thought it might be too hot?) kids size which was quite filling. First experience here and I would come back for the same items again.
Ordered via uber eats and food arrived quickly. LOTF is perfect if you have a craving non-vegan junk food (like for me on this occasion I had a weird craving for a maccas cheeseburger) - LOTF will hit the spot. Good range of gluten free options but not all burger patties are gluten free so be sure to check. The moustache cookies are a must have - so delicious!
We happened to be in the city one day and were so excited to head into LOTF. We weren't sure about the vegan options but were advised EVERYTHING is vegan on the menu. We had the fried "chicken", chips with African sauce which I believe consisted of "mayo, ketchup and diced onions". Oh boy, you know they're doing something right when you take a bite and have to second guess its not actually just what its supposed to be imitating. Great texture and taste! The chips were amazing and I tried their kumara fries too which were the bomb. Best place IMO for vegan junk food. Convenient location next to Tank on Krd. Friendly staff and decent sized premises, probably not suitable for dining in. Prices aren't too bad either.
Best vegan fast food around! Heaps of options to choose from and they are all good. The fried chicken is great my partner who is not vegan enjoyed this. I Highly recommend everything!
Have been here twice now! Of course a vegan pattie is never going to taste the same as real meat, but as a whole it definitely tastes like a normal burger. The sweet potato fries are also VERY generous and delicious! The chickn burger is my fave but the original is okay as well. I didn’t like the spicy mayo as it was kinda oily and congealed but the aioli is good 🤤 fast service and good vegan fast food experience!
The vegan nuggets here are amazing if a bit pricey. Good opening hours too during Friday and Saturday nights.
Have also tried their chick’n burger which was interesting. It’s a decent burger in its own right as long as you don’t compare it to or expect the taste of real meat. The patty itself is a bit strange, relatively soft but also contains fibre like things which you would expect to find in real meat. Taste wise it’s fine, I can’t really describe it since it’s relatively neutral and blends in with the taste of the burger. Not too big a fan of the vegan cheese used but most of that is likely due to not being used to it. Not sure if I’d be too keen on coming back for the burgers (but definitely for the nuggets!)
I'm in heaven with a belly full of plant goodness. The worst thing about this place is deciding what to eat! Chikn burger and poutine fries were mamazingly good and filling. Cannot wait to try more. Staff were friendly and patient and only improvement would be tangier gravy.
Prompt and friendly service. I’ve had the sweet potato fries all the time. Sometimes it’s okay. Sometimes it’s burnt a bit. The store is located at a convenient location. Clean and nicely decorated. I’m not a fan of fast food but this place doesnt give me the “urggg” feeling whenever I walk into mc donald or kfc.
Wonderful surprise to see it was vegetarian. First time my sister could order an original burger off a menu. Yummy fries. Large portions. Would have liked tomato in the burgers we got.
I come here without even realizing it was vegan! So we ordered our food went home and ate it thinking it was meat. But it was good, the "chicken" & chips were really nice,i wasnt to much of a fan of the burger though neither was hubby.
Another fantastic fully vegan restaurant. The burgers are huge and full of flavour- and mine had two patties. They give you a lot of fries even for the regular size. There’s a huge variety of different kinds of fake meat- chicken, beef and even fish. Unique and delicious place.
Heaven! It really doesn't matter if you eat a Vegan diet or not, because this place offers great plantbased food for all taste buds! Loved the fact that you can eat delicious food and know they are better for you, from chips, burgers to fried goodies. Don't believe me? Try it yourself and find out.
It was a great meal . I was so high I didn't even realize it was all vegetarian.
So a great 5 star great service and bloody good food.A++...
Ordered the original burger which may now be my favourite go to. The classic fries with the french canadian sauce and vegan cheese however, was very disappointing.. the gravy and v/cheese was not a good combination and had a very strange taste. Sadly I had to chuck most of it away. Will definitely visit again for the burgers and might even give the fries another go with a different sauce.
Ordered a mixed box with poutine sauce, big original burger, big poutine, tijuana amd peanut butter shake. The shake and mixed box was my favourite, I was really suprised by the big portion of the mixed box but I thought it was too much fries compared to rings and nuggets. Burgers and hotdog was bland, dry and not enough sauce. Would be nice if hotdog could be toasted. I would definitely be back to order mixed box and shake. Customer service was great and I like where its situated.
Big portions, good food. Would definitely recommend at least trying this place. Only let-down in the past has been the service but when we went last night they very promptly and happily replaced my vegetarian burger with a vegan one.
Fabulous burgers just like the other auckland branch, I get takeaway from here. Don't forget the Kumara fries, you will not regret - soooo good
Got the mixed munch box and a mini original burger (vegan). Really enjoyed the flavour and freshness of both! Service was good, as was value for money. Only criticism, the mixed munch box could have more onion rings and nuggets as it was fries heavy.
Great vegan and vegetarian options. All milkshakes were vegan and delicious. All meals were vegetarian and could be made vegan. Service was quick
Visited here today and I was impressed!
A good variety of burgers and delicious sauces. We ordered the spicy burger, the phish burger and the Parma burger along with fries and the sauce of the month.
The phish burger was delicious and tasted scarily the same as a normal fish burger. It was awesome. The spicy burger tasted great, however it was really cold compared to the other two burgers which was disappointing. The Parma burger tasted awesome too, however a little saucy for my friends preference. Over all, the food is great and you feel great eating it. Best vegan/vegetarian burgers and you don't even miss the meat!
We had lunch here yesterday and we were super impressed. We had burgers, hot dogs, fries and a peanut butter shake. All were vegan and delicious! The service was great and they were super accomodating - this will be a regular eating place for us from now on!!
Delicious chips, mac and cheese balls, and spicy buffalo sauce. I loved it. Although the service was very slow, the guy who took my order and the one who packed it were very nice. So for that, I'll give them a 5.
The food here was fantastic, I was surprised the whole menu is vegetarian given how many different options there were, I will have to go back here to try something different!
The think about the place is that they try to make in a sustainable way. The packaging is bio composable and they offer a lot of vegetarian options. The food is tasty and the staff is also friendly. So major points for a fast food restaurant are well meet.
The store is pretty small with just 2 chairs inside. They have a few seats outside, but they don’t really have a comfortable feeling to them. I don’t really think that it matters because if you are getting fast food that isn’t really the goal. Anyways I like it and the name is funny!
I like the food very much!
Just can recommend to everyone.
The fries here are really good, personally recommend the chunky or classic - I have these all the time. Burgers are delicious too and come with vegan cheese.
If you haven’t been back in a while you will notice that the burgers are much bigger now. Which is a bonus!
Mushroom toastie is pretty decent actually. I recommend it, and you can’t tell the cheese isn’t real cheese.
Tbh I walked in here and ordered before realIzing it’s vegan, so I accidentally gave them a chance to prove themselves. Not disappointing, who knew that bread loaded with butter and fried mushroom doesn’t taste bad ;)
I’d be hesitant to call it health food
I had the Classic Wrap and it’s was very delicious. I loved the crunch of the Gerkin and the sauce was refreshing. I definitely would go back and try one of the other 3 wraps. Plus value for your money 🙂

amazing service, delicious food, and awesome atmosphere! thanks guys <3
SIIIIICK FOOOOOOD. OMG we had been waiting for so long to go. Delicious. So many options. All vegan. Even the carni's loved it Amazing staff. We ate there twice in a weekend. Waiting patiently for the Queenstown shop to open!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Insanely good food and good vibes. 10/10 definitely recommend
I tried the Parma big size. Compared to my favourite Vege burger from BurgerFuel I didn't like it as much. It wasnt bad tho, just pretty basic and not as big. Filled the gap tho, so can't really complain.
The staff are super kind and friendly, and the food is fantastic! Can hardly tell the chicken is vegan, highly recommend the loaded fries too
