I love the sweet muffin so yummy and the hot chocolate with the chocolate fish and the sprinkling of chocolate powder so yummy 10\10 for me
Came here for a quick takeaway brunch with my mum this morning. Staff were really nice and the place was clean and bright, wasn’t a fan of my croissant but I think that’s just personal preference, iced coffee was nice (really not what I was expecting) and my mums mocha was delicious:)
Awesome cafe just across the street from where we live. Delicious cabinet food, great coffees and amazing location.
Staff is very friendly and polite. Haven't had a proper meal here yet but can't wait to try out their specials.
Too bad that they close at 4pm, hope they stay open till late evenings during summer. :)
First time I went this place had bad service, was overpriced and wasn’t the best food I had tested. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a second time and boy oh boy what a change! The owner was there and we had the most beautiful waitress who was so kind and lovely, she welcomed us with the greatest hospitality and the food was incredible! It was soooo filling, I struggled to finish it but knew I had to because it was just too good to waste! Excited for more of the seasonal specials to come. This place is only getting better!
Excellent customer service, fast and attentive. There are few healthy options for breakfast so I tried the Paleo breakfast and a chai latte. The greens and avo tasted fresh, poached eggs were cooked perfectly and ample amount of salmon. My spicy chai latte was just right. Definitely recommended.
Columbus coffee in St Johns has been open for a while now. My partner and I decided to give it a go as it was nearby. I got the daz special, which is like mince on toast but it was on kumara hash i think, and he got a corn fritter. Both was delicious but my egg was a little overfried. It was almost rubbery. Other than that, good price for the portion you get.
Awesome atmosphere. Always busy & always has great service. Awesome place for healthy options. Coffee is all goods :). I do not go here often, but it's always a good experience when I do go.
My partner and I love this place. Great service and It is perfect if you have special dietary requirements, there are heaps of dairy free/gluten free/ paleo options. And the beetroot latte is definitely worth a try!

Very close to my home. Got chance to try their food. Had a flat white which was good and hot. After that tried muffin....wow...amazing that one. Tasty and big enough for 4 $.
Stopped in today for breakfast while my mother was at an appointment nearby.
I had a hard time communicating that I wanted a "mocha latte" with the lady who took my order at the counter, but to her credit, she persisted and we achieved communication in the end (I'd resigned myself to settling for a regular latte) so that impressed me right off.
I also noticed that they had some unusual items on the menu.
I ordered a 'local favourite', eggs (poached) on kumara rosti with a side of sauerkraut, avocado and salad.
I took a seat and my entire order was fulfilled very quickly, even though the place was abuzz with activity (ca 9:45 AM on a Monday morning.)
My avocado was a little underripe and the rosti were on the verge of being over cooked, but otherwise both the food and the coffee were very good.
The staff member who delivered my order offered water when she brought the coffee, and checked back to see I was satisfied as I was eating.
Popped in quickly for a coffee but due to lunch rush had a little wait! Coffee was very good ... it gets me every time the cost though. Small coffee was $4.20. The cabinet looked really good and I was impressed with the Paleo/gluten free and vegan options. All the food looked amazing but again $7 for a muffin is a little steep.
Busy work day but managed a quick lunch here - had a flat white which tasted great, nice touch with the artwork (angry rabbit design!) and also a bacon and egg panini which curbed the appetite. The cabinet food looked good but typical Columbus fare. What stood out for me was the service...steady lunch time crowd but they were well staffed, pleasant and even offered and delivered water to my table - good stuff.
Often get my morning coffee here, an almond milk flat white and so far is the only cafe that make these well that I have tried (understandably an annoying order). Have tried a range of their cakes and they are always really nice maybe a bit pricey and the staff are lovely.
Popped into our local Columbus Coffee for brunch. The eggs Benedict was pretty good-eggs were just cooked, just the way I like them. The salmon was nice and fresh. For a change, it came with quite a bit of spinach, which was slightly wilted. The hollandaise sauce had a nice citrus zest to it. The coffee was nice and warm but could have been stronger. To sum it up, there's nothing unusual on the menu but it's well cooked and reliable.

Just went there with my mom for some coffee and cake and let me tell you they never disappoint with their baked goods and coffee is delicious to. My mom spilled her coffee all over the table and made a big mess( she has brain injury so not very good coordination). The staff was very understanding and cleaned up right away and moved us to a new table !And wait for it.....they made my mom a new coffee for free! I thought that was the sweetest thing , it made our day! Thank you
We come here all the time for the friendly staff, fantastic coffee and delicious food with lots of healthy options. My kids love the lunch plate which has a toasted sandwich, fruit and a little sweet slice on it. Healthy but still feels special for them.
The coffee is the best I've had and the staff are very friendly and welcoming but still professional.
I catch up here with a friend of mine weekly and this cafe has become our regular.
It helps that it is about halfway between us both, but its also just a really neat place to have a coffee and meet up.
Coffees are always great, tasty and hot, whether they're a Soy latte or flat white, long black (beautiful aroma!), or regular flat whites/lattes. So too are the smoothies, just divine! Food is likewise yummy, whether its a meal from the kitchen or something smaller from the cabinet and there's plenty of choices, vegetarian/vegan, etc.
The owner Dannee is very friendly, obliging and passionate about customers & food. And the staff, Tazleen and co are also friendly, helpful and know what they are doing.
All in all, a great place to catch up with friends.
Fantastic staff, Danny and team are always friendly and helpful no matter how busy they are. They always seen to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Coffee always fantastic! The muffins always are fresh, according to my wife! And the toasted sandwiches are to die for
Popped in for a coffee and breakfastt last Friday morning. Don't usually rate Columbus Coffee that highly (am a bit of a coffee snob!) but we were in a hurry and wanting somewhere close but boy are we glad we did. This place made the best flat white I've had in ages. Smooth, creamy and lovely and hot. The creamy mushrooms were also delicious and great value. Service was friendly and very efficient. Very happy customers.
We were really impressed with the service here during a recent lunch. Staff spotted that we were a group of 4, and no tables were left... he promptly reshuffled a large table into two smaller ones to accommodate us, without us having to say a word. Great!
Sumptuous chocolate cake, and sweet-as delicious caramel-choc slice. Coffee was excellent.
Only possible improvement would be that the choc on the caramel slice was very hard.... I was scared I was going to be like Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman', when the escargot shoots off her plate as she's trying to manoevre her way into it with the cutlery. Luckily my business meeting was much more relaxed... so I just quietly hacked away at it with my fork. The chocolate was gorgeous, so can I really complain? If I'd been on my own, I would've just picked it up and crunched through it with my teeth. LOL!

I am not a huge flat white drinker but they actually did a great coffee for this.
Recommendation: Definitely a great location to chill and have your breakfast (outdoor seating) if the weather is good.
Having just recently started working in the area I found a wonderful cafe to get my morning coffee at. After my 2nd visit the wonderful staff already knew my coffee order and had it made by the time I got to the counter.
Now that's cafe service!

Hubby and i frequent there the past few months for their wonderful aromaticity smell of coffee. Friendly staff with good service. Love the food. My only concerns is water bottles needs a good clean up. Even if I'm thirsty there I won't drink it. Very nice place.

Friendly greets and was seated down for a Family of 7, 5adults and 2childs. Tables were x3 pushed together to cater for us.. Children praise how friend the lady owner was to us and free Fluffy drinks with their bfast. I enjoyed my bfast and the rest of the family.

This little hidden gem is going to become one of our regular restaurants/cafe to come to, not only to get a delicious plate of food, but to have an enjoyable chat with the staff at Columbus Coffee.
I highly recommend this hidden gem to everyone who enjoys a friendly chat, just a cup of coffee or a hot meal.

This place gives really good vibes. Not the usual cafe meals but rather fresh and local. I would definitely recommend to drop by, be it casual or meetings. The environment just perfect.
Had a wonderful Saturday morning coffee here. Always enjoy a Collumbus coffees and this place has not disappointed. Fantastic raspberry white chocolate for $4.50 and a variety of sweets to curb all cravings!
Lovely outdoor courtyard for a coffee. Despite being near the road they've created a really nice secluded space for brunch. Staff were very helpful and service was fast. Really enjoyed my visit. Will defo be back

You really can’t go wrong here. Consistently great coffee, an awesome, varied, tasty menu and super high standards for themselves, which they routinely surpass. Friendly customer service, with an awareness of regular customers orders and lives, a willingness to chat and a real human touch that never makes you feel like you’re just the next order in line.
