When I come to meet fresh...to get refreshed (haha I'm so funny) I always go for the Icy Grass Jelly Signature - it's just got all the things I like and is quite refreshing with the ice and massive amounts of herbal jelly. Portion size is good, I'm always way too full afterwards (usually have dinner before this)
We used to came here once a week when Auckland didn't have so many dessert shop. Taiwanese taro ball was chewy and i always buy two concentrated milk ball put in one bowl which make flavour more delicious. Also recommend mini taro ball in ice jasmine green tea.
We came here for dessert after eating dinner at Eden Noodle. We ordered 2 Purple Party (limited edition of herbal jelly with purple yam) and it was surprisingly good with condensed milk.
My friends and I got coconut sago with mango, grass jelly with taro balls and taro ball #3 for dessert the other night. All were huge serving. The taro ball #3 was hot sweet soup with peanuts, taro balls and pearls. To be honest, in the menu they just wrote #1-5 instead of what the toppings were. So sometimes you just need to guess what those were in the pictures and picked a random one. Nevertheless, the sweet bean soup was not too sweet and really tasted like what I had in my childhood. The taro balls and pearls was cooked properly and chewy.
Somehow I always found what my friends ordered tasted better than mine😅 coconut sago with mango was my favourite. The black colour of the grass jelly actually comes from herbs (Grass jelly is sometimes called herbal jelly) with the shaved ice beneath the jelly, it was definitely a nice dessert to share with friends (or you can finish it on your own😉)

No matter how cold it is in Auckland, I'll always be in the mood for snowflake ice 🍧 I'm one of those people that complain about how cold it is one minute and then a minute later you'll see me eating ice cream 😅 Tried the Q Mochi Snowflake ice ($13.8) at Meet Fresh for the first time! YOOO I've been sleeping on this flavour 😴 The mochi is soft and chewy despite how cold the shaved ice is! 🍡 It also comes with a jelly that adds an extra element of texture so you get the snowflake ice melting, chewiness of the mochi and the bounciness of the jelly all in one bite. The pudding has amazing texture and isn't overwhelmingly sweet either. The shaved ice definitely has a condensed milk and light palm sugar flavoured syrup which compliments the dish well 👌🏼 I vibe so hard with this dessert 🔥 Honestly my new favourite dessert!
Q Mochi Shaved ice rating: 12/10 we ordered another bowl after demolishing this one 😏
Ambience: 7/10 ✨

Desserts after dinner - brown sugar pearl milk tea is the best and their pearl is really nice. I love it and getting addicted to it. Denny Setiawan should go here more often
Came here after a heavy lunch with the girls and let me tell you I slipped into a food coma after having a few spoons of the huge bowl of mango shaved ice 😱
Also ordered mango slushie to go and it was good.
I would have given a 5 but service was rude even though we were the only customers!! Besides her attitude, I would recommend you try this little place out its delish 👌
Me and my family are the fans of this dessert. we didn't expect it will be exist in NZ, and we found this gem in balmoral. Reminds us to home. Thanks
this is one of my favourite Taiwanese style desserts. Kumara and taro pearls are sweet and chewy, together with the purple rice in coconut milk. Yummm😋 it will be better if they use seasonal fresh fruits, the mango is the frozen type, so not so sweet and tasty.
The place is cute and the desserts is really nice. The pricing is suitable for what you're getting.
The customer service isn't the best but i guess you wouldn't be as hype when you're working 8hr shifts with only one other person and customers coming in at certain time all in a rush.
Would go there once a week or 2 times a month at most
I just love their tofu jelly pudding with red beans. Best of all, I can share it with my son who has all the food allergies usually found in desserts (milk, egg, peanut, cashew). I have tried their signature purple rice pudding as well. It was not too bad, but it probably was lacking a bit of sweetness.
Their shaved ice puddings are also decent according to my colleague, so will definitely try one of them on my next visit.
Satisfying dessert at Dominion Road, tastes the same as the one in Lorne Street. Enjoyed their taro dessert! Best to be shares. Bonus: they played my favourite Chinese pop music videos in the store!
Some of the best deserts in the city ..im addicted to this place i need the sagoo party desert every week each and every deserts are amazing if you want to try one of best deserts come to meet fresh i have already recommended so many of my friends and followers through my blog and have shared each and every deserts pictures through instagram@nowfianahidakamal
Meet fresh dominion road in Balmoral is pretty good. Their drinks n dessert selection is quite extensive n service is very friendly n fast. We tried their new drink on the menu which is fresh milk with brown sugar pearl. It was delicious. A bit on a sweeter side if you are okay with it or u can always order it with less or no sugar... but go as it comes.

Awesome asian dessert shop in Dominion Rd
I love all their desserts, all the signature menus, snowflakes, and even drinks. Wish they had this place in Hamilton too.
Came in one night after dinner in February this year. Waffles were crispy on the outside and soft within. The syrup was not too sweet and worked well with the cream. Loved the Taro balls. They were chewy and delicious. Mangos on shaved ice tasted fresh and juicy. Would definitely come again for more nice Taiwanese desserts.
Came here for dessert on Mother’s Day. The place was packed. We ordered the mango shaved ice with condensed milk. I loved how fresh the mango was and the ice just melts in your mouth. The mango ice cream at the top was the perfect topping. The sago was really coconutty and it was warm, it wasnt really my type of dessert but it was good as well plus the mango was fresh too
Taste is always nice however it takes time if the shop gets busy. I always come here with my friends and order milktea or snowflake every week. Some staffs are really not friendly if they are busy which is understandable. The shop opens late til 12am that is awesome.
Yum yum yum!! Perfect late night haunt if you’re in the mood for something sweet and refreshing. Be prepared to wait for a bit (sometimes) as this place fills up fast, but service is typically quick and food is seriously delicious. Sago pudding is LEGIT and the waffles are melt in the mouth. A must try!
Ordered the mango green tea. A little on the bitter side for me but still tastes really good. Staff friendly and service is good. They are open till late so can always rely on them.
The place is average and I would say they charged too much for a waffle with two ice cream scoops, but the red bean matcha shaved ice is the best. Never ever try other things after I found this one.
Came here on a Friday night for desserts after dinner. It didn’t turn out to be that busy but there were still people going in and out, mostly for takeaways.
We got the herbal jelly #2 (cold) and red bean mochi balls. For the herbal jelly, they give you a tiny packaged cream milk to add it on, and having it cold in summer is really satisfying. Mix it before serving so you could get all the brown sugar and shaved ice underneath for better tasting. The #2 has sweet potatoes in addition to the taro balls and herbal jelly. Don’t underestimate the portions, it may leave you with a bloated stomach.
The Mochi balls, for $5, wasn’t very attractive and you only get 2 of them - I expected at least 3-4. $2.50 for 1 mochi ball that isn’t that big is kind of expensive in my opinion. It tastes just like normal red bean mochi balls (what you’d expect from a red bean milk tea) which you can buy at the Asian supermarkets for a cheaper price in packets.
As for service, there’s really not much to it other than cleaning the table for you because all of them are behind the counter making food and drinks.

A frequent hangout after dinner and we love their signature Combo of Black jelly, shaved ice and various taro and Kumara balls. Never have any complains about this place!
The furniture and decor is the same as the other Meet Fresh franchise stores. I like the simple furnishings and tidy appearance.
The red bean dessert is thick and full of red bean flavour. The shaved ice is well presented and a generous serving. Great place for an afternoon snack or a late night dessert.
Have to admit that I don't know a thing about Taiwanese food, so can't say if they meet the standards. But I really like what they serve at Meet Fresh.
They have a good variety to please a sweet tooth, and what I like the most about them is the refreshing elements of the desserts, making it light and easy to finish.
They weren’t busy today so the customer service was pretty good. I was able to adjust the sugar to 0% and added barley to my black tea drink. The place is quiet and clean.
I really like the menu offering that Meet Fresh provides, it's different to any other around the area and is a nice change to have lots of dessert options. I always have the Strawberry Milkshake, I'm not sure if it's on the normal menu but I saw it on a poster inside. It's so nice and refreshing on a hot day. I would love to try their waffles, the only reason we haven't yet is since they are a little pricey. I also really like the decor and modern feel of this restaurant.
One of my top go-to dessert spots all year round 🍮 affordable and something for everyone.
PinoyTip: Hot tofu pudding with boba/pearls will satisfy your taho cravings 👌🏼
It's a great place to hang out at night, we ordered different things. YuYuan series all look good and tasty, no matter they are cold or hot. I might try something other than those next time :)
I usually go to the branch in town, but have visited this branch recently. Quality is just as good, but it was not as crowded, unsure if it was due to the time of day that we went. A bonus, since you frequently have to queue up at the city branch
So you order and pay for your dessert/drink then sit down, they give you a buzzer which buzzes when your order is ready, you pick it up.
For some reason, grass jelly on shaved ice with taro valls and kumara balls topped with sugar syrup and coffee creamer just works wonders. There are other options too but this is my favourite. The person who thought of the combo should be awarded a genius-related prize. I guess franchise earnings will have to do instead....
The overall experience was just average. Nothing too impressive, nothing too wrong. I ordered their signature dessert Taro ball No.1 and due to that day was slightly cold so I decided to have the hot one (I more often ordered the cold ones). It was very sweet and the Taro balls are chewy. The only one drawback compared to the Meet Fresh in Malaysia is that you can't customize your dessert, so I can't have everything I like in one bowl or I should say there is definitely something I dislike in my dessert e.g. the boba/pearls. I like the taro balls, red beans and barley but no matter which option I choose they have boba/pearls in it :( The environment was quite okay except the toilet. It was not dirty but the toilet seat was broken. There was also no toilet paper and hand towel in there :( I would like to rate this place higher because I am a dessert lover and Taiwanese dessert is one of my favorite but I just have to be honest with how I felt about it.
Having visited Taiwan before I was really excited about this place. I've been here twice now and have to say their desserts and drinks are pretty average. The red bean porridge is quite watery and the taro balls have no chewiness or consistency. Plus they put cold lumps of sweet potato when I asked for the warm option. These guys are open till late though so bonus points for satisfying those late night cravings :))
My girls love eating here!
It's more like a dessert shop. Taiwanese sweetness. I like it once in a while. But I'm 95kg and I shouldn't be eating too much.
It's relatively pricy, but the Chinese demand is high... so that's too bad.

Customer service was ok I guess, atmosphere was pretty cute and cosy. We ordered the mango waffle dessert and it tasted amazing! Also tried the fruity jelly dessert & the Taro red bean one which tasted good too. I also enjoyed the bobo tea as well! Definitely coming back for more! (:
Taro balls all the way. Meet fresh is nice and you don't really find lots of desert places like meet fresh in auckland so i really appreciate how they make their deserts.
Great little Asian dessert place. Came here on recommendation of some friends and loved it. There are a variety of different desserts hot and cold depending on what you fancy.
We opted for a cold mango crushed ice dessert which is reminiscent of the ais kacang that one would get in Malaysia/Singapore. Shaved ice with fresh mango pieces, palm sugar syrup and ice-cream to boot. You could also add on other toppings dependent on your fancy.
Over a nice place to cap off a night and highly recommended

This is a great oriental dessert shop. I love dropping by and grabbing a matcha tea to go. Their dessert bowls are pretty generous with more than enough room to share. I would recommend the fruit ones. You can try the other bowls if you are into glutinous balls as dessert. I would say its an acquired taste and definately not my cup of tea.
I tried the winter melon tea which has a very distinct biscuity taste. It was very refreshing though. I'm definately coming back to try the waffles. The menu is baffling, so many options!
The desserts at Meet Fresh are fantastic, especially awesome if you like anything glutinous; taro balls, tapioca, herbal jelly, mochi, and more.
Their Signature Herbal Jelly, that comes with 2 different types of tapioca balls, is to die for
Was pretty excited when I first found out there was gonna be a Meet Fresh on Dominion Road as I've been to the one in the city a few times and enjoyed it.
I haven't been to this Meet Fresh in a while cos I didn't like how they mainly served shaved ice dessert. Walked past the other day and saw that they had a new range of matcha desserts and drinks and I knew I had to come back and try them.
Ordered the matcha ice cream and red bean waffles to share with a friend for dessert. Presentation was very nice but it being practical for eating with a knife and fork wasn't so great. Other than that, I must say the waffle itself was very light and fluffy. None of that floury thick batter. But probably ideal to place the waffles on a flat plate instead.
I also ordered a drink from there -can't remember what it was but it tasted a bit odd.. But nothing bad. Just wasn't what I was expecting 😕
Service isn't bad here. Kinda what you'd expect. And they seem to always be quite busy there too.
one of my fav dessert shops 😍😍😍 foeva cmng here great servce good location parkings abit tight bt not impossible cheap menu ..... jus lov lov lov xo 💋
This place is brilliant!!!! I'll be honest that I could not understand half the menu items as they were very different. Probably famous in Taiwan or Japan.
We had a shaved Mango ice with condensed milk and I could not stop eating. It was massive and me and my partner could not finish the entire dish.
I'm going to come back here to try other things on their menu.

This is my go to place after having dinner in dominion rd. If you're craving asian desserts this is the right place. The servings are worth the price and sometimes good to share with friends. I always go for the warm tofu pudding with tapioca during winter and the mango on crushed ice during summer - perfect for the weather.
Was craving something cool and sweet to sip on whilst walking along dominion after a huge feed when me and my partner stumbled upon this place. We were quite overwhelmed with the different kinds of desserts and flavours of drinks that we've never heard of. So to stay on the safe side of things, I ordered a taro milkshake, type of slushy...that is the best way I can subscribe it and my it was sooo good! I could taste a few taro chunks in the drink as well which I loved. My partners strawberry was a tad too sweet for his and my liking. It tasted artificial, like the drink probably had too much strawberry syrup. Anyways, I loved the setting of this place and will definitely come back to try another drink or dessert.
Yummy Taiwanese style dessert shop where also offers wonderful bubble tea drinking a. Happy with most of items here. Hope can have more less sugar or no add sugar items here in future.
For those that like these Asian style desserts. They serve grass jelly, tofu pudding, and other delicacies with a variety of different toppings like tapioca, red bean and taro balls.
These type of desserts are generally not as sweet and have a distinct flavour.
They do have seating but is generally full after the dinner rush. They also have other more "traditional" desserts like waffles and ice cream.
Nice thing to try if you haven;t done so before.
I know I was initially unimpressed with Meet Fresh as it felt too overpriced and hyped up at first but now I am a regular at this place when those sweet tooth cravings strike. It's an easy place to catch up and share desserts over. I only ever get the Signature Herbal jelly cold version, Wintermelon tea, or shaved ice as the other choices are a bit of a let down in my opinion.
Came here for dessert and really enjoyed ourselves. Service was a little hasty.. We had the red bean tofu pudding, taro ball tofu pudding, number 4 herbal jelly and the taro ball red bean porridge. The tofu pudding was smooth, taro balls deliciously chewy, sweetness was just right. Everything was splendid and will come back again
Loved this place!!
Went here last night for the first time and it was amazing, so many options and different drinks/puddings I now need to try.
We ordered two of the larger/Sharing deserts which were taro and mango flavoured. It was basically shaved ice, ice cream, fruit, taro balls, condensed milk and syrup all on a plate.
Really light, refreshing desert, perfect after a heavy or spicy meal. YUM can't wait for my next visit to try something new on the menu :)
Popular in Asia and originating from Taiwan, taro desserts are hard to find in this part of the world. Thankfully, Meet Fresh has brought them to us in their most authentic state.
We went there after a big meal at Dominion Road, and ordered their best seller which was shaved ice with sweet syrup and taro balls, chewy tapioca pearls, and red bean. We also chucked in an almond dessert with mini taro and pumpkin balls, just to try something different.
The order took a while to arrive on our table, but it was understandable due to the late Friday night crowd. The shaved ice was perfect--it had sweetness, the right amount of chewiness, and it was refreshing. Loved the pearls, taro and pumpkin balls, because they added a great texture to the dessert.
The almond drink that arrived was thick, almost like a soup consistency, and the little orange and grey balls at the bottom was a really nice touch. The almond flavour was strong, nutty, and fragrant. Would totally recommend to those who love almonds.
Showstopper: The authenticity of the desserts. I've had the same thing in Taiwan, and couldn't tell the difference.
Overall grade: A. Come if you wanna switch it up from your usual Western desserts.
I thought I won't like this place but end up I really do. It was better when I first visited though~~it has kinda went down hill but still a nice place to go for Asian desserts
Been meaning to try this place but all three locations were not convenient to us. Finally made it to the Balmoral branch. The place is quite small and even though we went at a non-dessert time it was already quite busy. I was surprised they had waffles but i remember the sydney branch has a lot more choices/customisation of the taro balls desserts. I ordered the signature taro balls with grass jelly. I thoroughly enjoyed it and find it a good portion size. The shaved ice was very big and best suited for 2+ people.
They don't give enough ice with the dessert at this branch but overall speedy services and delicious grass jelly! The signature dish is my favourite! Or number 4!
Yum yum yum! Pretty much all I can say really! Definitely the place to go after dinner.
My favorite dish is their grass jelly with taro balls. You can never go wrong with that. The perfect dessert even in winter time.
This is the second Meet Fresh store I have been to. Like the one on Lorne Street, this one was also very busy. We had to wait quite a while for our order, especially since we ordered quite few items. It was worth the wait though. All of us were happy with our order.
After the Meet Fresh craze died down, this is one of my favourite Asian dessert restaurants to go to after a meal. I usually go to the one in the city but we were dining on Dominion Road tonight and wanted something sweet after our meal.
The restaurant was still quite busy and we had to wait about five minutes until there was a big enough table for our group of four people. That was fine though. The lady at the counter was nice, service was good.
I usually get the same thing every time I come here. I once ventured out into their drinks and I wasn't as blown away as I thought I would be (I just felt like desserts were so much more worth the price compared to the drinks)! I got the signature herbal jelly dessert which was shaved ice with grass jelly topped with taro and sweet potato balls with creme that you could pour over your dessert. Good as always.
The sweet tofu is another classic that my friend got and also came with taro balls. I didn't try this but she always gets the same thing so it must be good!
The only thing I can say that needs improvement is the cleanliness of the bathroom. There were also no more paper towels and I had to go back into the bathroom to use toilet paper to dry my hands. Apart from that everything else was good. The wait time was short, our desserts came in about five minutes.
I definitely will be back!
This place is amazing! We ordered the mango shaved ice, tofu pudding with tapioca and the winter melon tea with herbal jelly. We enjoyed everything from the first mouthful til the last! Will definitely be coming back.
I've seen mixed reviews for Meet Fresh, but as a Taiwanese dessert noob, I like it. It's vastly different from desserts I'm used to & I love to try new things, so it's a thumbs up from me.
Situated on Dominion Rd, next door to New Flavour, when Meet Fresh first opened in Balmoral they'd sold out of many items (all the ones we wanted to try), but it's since calmed down & they seem to have everything on the menu available pretty much.
It's been good to give my love for Hulucat's oolong milk tea with taro pudding a rest for a while & not have to wait in the cold while they make it too!
Meet Fresh's winter melon tea with whipped cream Jo& small taro balls is my new obsession, despite it being freezing of late & the drink containing ice. It's also quite sweet, but I prefer the taro balls to pearls made with tapioca any day. Minus the whipped cream, this drink is one of their top sellers.
Haven't tried much else in the menu, but there are definitely a few desserts and possibly other drinks I'll be trying next.
Tried the mochi which is nice enough & one of their top sellers too.
Service is good & nice decor. Funny posters outside - have a read if you find yourself at Meet Fresh.
If you haven't been, I recommend you check it out.
Updated 2019:
Love the sago, love the shaved ice desserts. Highly recommend!
Dessert of good taste. It is a good choice to have friends eat out on Dominion Rd and then go inside this one to have a dessert.
The shortcoming is the place is crowded.
Really is a convenient place since they are open until midnight. Usually late night is when we are craving tapioca dessert the most. They always seem to be busy around late night time but you can take away everything. Otherwise dining in sometimes there might be a wait for a table.
Decently priced, maybe a tad on the overpriced side as most of the ingredients are very simple and easy to get/make, Especially their mochi which I don't think is really worth $5 for 2 and the mango ice tower dessert which is over $10 and all it is is a scoop of ice cream, a few spoons of mango and sugared ice. However after work when the cravings kick in I tend to ignore that aside and buy everything anyway!
The staffs have trouble understanding you sometimes but they really do try their best. Service is very friendly and I've never had a bad experience.
Been here a few times now and so far they've been pretty good. I think the portions here are slightly bigger than the one in the city's.
My favourite is the original herbal jelly one served cold. Love the taro balls. The mango shaved ice is also pretty good though too sweet for my liking. I wouldn't really recommend the tofu jelly. It's really sweet and not as soft as I'd imagined.
But anyway, the service is fast, probably cos it's not as busy as the one in the city.
A place to visit if u want a sweet treat :)
Being in the area on Saturday night, we had decided to try out this outlet. No surprise that it was busy around 10pm as it is situated in a busy food district.
We ordered taro ball number 6 (noodle jelly, crystal jelly & tapioca in red bean soup) as well as the green tea with cream. Shortly after ordering the dishes were ready.
The green tea was very nice, being more fragrant as opposed to its city outlet. The taro balls however were a bit too sticky/wet, as well as the tapioca/pearls being a bit undercooked. However, the rest of the dish was lovely.
***After returning again, their taro balls are now very good, with the Balmoral branch being much better than the city branch***
The Balmoral outlet is a lovely place for get togethers, especially when craving such treats.
Pretty cool desserts! Quite refreshing if you're looking for something out of the norm. We had really good service and we've been there a number of times as well.
Read the reviews and seems like different staff members have different manners. Some employees hate Chinese and some don’t. When we got in they were all ok. Staff members very polite. I really don’t know how much you would hate Chinese while working at a Chinese bubble tea shop? I think the food is awesome
Ordered the Q Mochi Snowflake! All the toppings were great esp the taro balls. Good amount of dessert, I shared this between my wife and I but could have easily fed 3-4 ppl. Def recommend
Stopped by after dinner since we were just down the road. They have a few options of dessert types as well as toppings and drinks. Decided to go with the signature coconut sago and I wasn't disappointed. The sago was made well and had a nice flavour. The taro balls gave it nice chewiness and the mango gave another layer of flavour, although they were a bit hard for my liking. Nice stop for good Taiwanese desserts.
This is one of my family favorite sweet treats. We visited both Balmoral and CBD branches. Some of the staff at Balmoral branch are rude and ignorant. Somehow, during the last visit, we were really happy with the new staff's service. The dessert were great as always. Love the taro and mix nuts.
The atmosphere was quiet when we visited, but we could eat something very big and delicious
The best Meet Fresh so far. It's so delicious. If you havnt tried, try it. You will love it. I love the Mango Coconut Sago dessert.

Dessert from Taiwan, it’s very popular in Asian societies but the price is not cheap. It worth to try it. There are many different options regarding to the flavors, a lot them most KIWI never try them before. You can take this visit as an advantage trip. VH
I've come here many times and trust me on this, it is always too crowded and always too loud. It's very hard to find a seating, however the food is very nice. I love the food and can never stop having enough of it. The place is too small too and the bowls looks old.
Second time coming to Meet Fresh on Dominion Rd. Always seems to be busy (especially during the night) so service can be a bit slow while making all the dishes. But you definitely get a good dessert for the price; not too sweet but enough to satisfy a sweet tooth craving. Yes the bowls may be faded and old looking, but doesn't diminish the quality of the dessert that you receive. You know a place has good food when it always has lots of people and their bowls and cutlery are worn down!
My favorite place of all for dessert and shaved ice 👍🏻
Came to meet fresh for dessert and what we had was just above average in terms of quality, thought it was a nice treat and not overly too sweet which is to my liking. Queue gets a bit tight when busy as some tables aren’t spaced out enough. I wouldn’t mind coming back to maybe try what other things they have on offer 😋
