Tastes amazing but lacks on consistent crunch. Some pieces have the nice crispiness to it but some are soft. Could improve by making sure every piece of pork is nice and crunchy.

My favourite is the sweet and sour pork, combination noodles, spring rolls and pork fried rice. Delivery is fast, no problems and the quantities are very reasonable
The best dish is prawn wonton soup, I love it and always go for it especially on a raining cold day. Singapore fried vermicelli is also very good. I haven't tried other dishes yet.
Sweet and sour pork is yummy.. I love their friend rice too! Always get a prawn roll on the side.. Place is not the most inviting.. but the food makes up for it.
Food was so tasty and not oily. Ordered many dishes and they all had superb taste. Chicken with black beans sauce, bbq pork egg fu, won ton dishes.
Sweet and sour pork was crispy and was meaty. But should be more pork though.
Egg fu was cooked perfect with it not being dry but bbq pork was dry and tasteless. Not enough peas and corn and could be a bit thicker with egg maybe two more as it was spread out and wasn't a lot...
Won ton noodle soup was delicious; well the BBQ pork was very dry which was a let down , no taste and not a lot of it. Noodle they used was udon noodles which was strange... but the soup and won tons were fresh prawn and full pork not minced.
Won ton dish really wasn't the best. Sweet and sour great but definitely need more pork.
Overall 3.5 , even though food came out fast and service was efficient but just won ton dish was strange. It was clean and tidy.
I would go again as it was not oily like other Chinese places 😊😊😊
I do enjoy coming to Royal Cuisine, they have a good range of options on the menu to choose from. Their lunch special is also fantastic for value. But I do find them to be a bit short staffed on Wednesday nights.
My favourite dish would be their chicken chow mein, its got lots of vegetables that doesn't make you feel too greasy afterwards; their lemon chicken/fish on rice was also top notch.

I ordered 10 dishes takeaway for a group of 20 people on Friday night. I took my time over the menu, which had a good selection. Service was great, food was yummy. I recommend the ginger and curry dishes in particular. Excellent overall.
Had lunch on Wednesday and the meal was wonderful. I had a sweet and sour pork which on occasion at other restaurants could be dry, tough and sometimes oily. Not this meal - tender, succulent and prepared to perfection. All meals prepared fresh which is a definite must. The Chicken & Cashew Nut stir-fry was also prepared to perfection and the vegetables were crisp and chicken was lovely and tender. Well done to the team and I do recommend this venue.

The reason this ironically named takeout is so popular is probably because it is good value for money in terms of serving size, but the lack of flavor in most dishes is a continuing source of disappointment for me personally.
The fried rice lacks onion,garlic or sprouts and is bland and boring. The sweet and sour pork while tasty is basically half white rice and you feel somewhat ripped off even when ordering a large size. The egg fu yong is actually quite nice though they serve it in a totally inappropriate pizza box for some reason. Deepfried chips are nicely done and not over or undercooked usually, though you don't get very many. They only serve one single variety of battered fish (SABA) and it has a very boring taste and a weird rubbery texture. The bami and nasi goreng are of low meat quality and very mild in terms of hotness or 'spicyness' which is annoying. Even if you ask them to make it "spicy" it is always very weak in levels of curry powder or chili flakes, and depending on which chef is making it, it will consist of one or the other of those two ingredients for the bite aspect of the dish so it's far from consistent in style.
There's really only one good thing going for this place: Value for Money. That's it.
Recommended by a family friend while visiting Royal Oak village and decided to host us here and knows the proprietors. They treated us as their guest too with a discount, therefore cooked to perfection just for us with tea on the house, each of us ordered a dish each and bang on the middle of the biggest table we share this out. I ordered the won hon and as with all typical HonKy style cuisine all went down well.
By the way the pyramided building they housed in was the first KFC in NZ and moved to their current site on the other side behind Ollies .

There is absolutely nothing that we could fault with this place. Sure, it isn't the 'nicest' location or the 'nicest' premise, but the food is absolutely tasteful, every thing we ordered was cooked to perfection and seasoned with just the right amount of spices. Our new favourite Chinese place, for sure. The deep fried pork was so good it had us talking about it all afternoon. Happy we stumbled across this. We'll be back :-)

Royal cuisine is one popular place in Royal Oak. Quick Chinese takeaway, then this is the place. If you love Chinese fried rice, then you must try it here. Quantity as always with any Chinese take aways is good.
I have never dine in here, always done take aways. As with any takeaway restaurants the ambience isn't the best for dine in. However it's clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to our dietary needs.
Lemon chicken and chilly chicken are two other dishes must be tried.
All cleanliness OCD people get in here. It's grade A. Food is great. So just get in here
Been driving past for a while now, and finally decided to try it. Got the chilli chicken on rice, was just right for chilli temperature, good portion of chicken, not completely overtaken with rice in the container :) tasted good, rice, was a little clumped together, but cooked well, it was chicken, spring onion, and onion, with the rice, would like something with a bit more Spring onion, might ask for extra next time, will go back again for sure
Love the dishes! All though the taste does get a bit tiring and i don't eat all my food because im bored. But overall yum and well cooked! :)
This is my local Chinese takeaway and I LOVE IT. The staff is super friendly and the owner is now a good friend. My usual order is Chicken Soft Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice or Chilli Chicken. The owner even makes it with chilli oil and fried noodles just because I like it that way. I have been to a million takeaways and this is by far the best. It is clean enough and NOT healthy but you can't expect that from a takeaway.
This place a little special to me. I love it and I am sure you will too. Cheap, big portions, good taste and friendly efficient staff - what more can you ask for!
Fresh veges, lots of veges, nice and crisp, good value for money. Generous meat serving also. However taste is bland, needs some garlic or onions and sauce to make it taste better. Service could be improved too. Cheap and wholesome.
Some of the best fried rice, sweet and sour pork and chow mein you will taste in the game. Fast service too, you are not waiting long.

The noodle dishes here have more meat and vegetables than noodles. Great for a Keto-cheat-meal. Love it!!

Great tasting, good value for money local Chinese place. Highly recommend. Food is always hot, perfectly cooked and good quantitys. Just don't look at its gross shop front and you will be fine.
My husband and I love coming here every fortnight. The fried rice and satay dishes are amazing. The sweet and sour pork is very tasty. The wontons are also great, and noticeably bigger than other Chinese food shops we’ve been to! Chicken wings are also amongst our favourites. Staff and service all very good and friendly.
Awesome portions for the price! Got a Large Beef Fried Rice and got value for money, really quick service too. Only feedback would be to add a little bit more salt but apart from that great job.
My family and I go to this restaurant on a frequent basis. The food is inexpensive, of decent quality and the quantity is extremely satisying. The lemon chicken here is the best in Auckland in my opinion. We usually get lemon chicken, combination fried rice and black bean fish, they are excellent, but can't really comment on the other dishes.
