Excellent service from friendly staff. Great cafe to take your little one too as they have a lovey toy basket and books. About their food.....delicious pastries, awesome coffee, petits gateaux to die for and melt-in-the-mouth breads. They have yummy meals in their fridge that you can buy to take home too - great if you're having a romantic dinner. You could buy and pretend you're a great cook!
Great coffee, great food, great service, - I never miss a visit when in Auckland. Love this place!
Gorgeous atmosphere, superb coffee, delicious pastries - and right across the road from a great kids park, everything my family needs for a great Sunday morning

Love their almond croissants! Nice atmosphere and service
So authentic and great staff! Best deli in auckland
Had the Galette des rois this morning, and my god it's already gone. So delicious! Many thanks! Looks like the quality is very high and love your bakery atmosphere.! Will be there often for sure!
Great place to pass the time away, love the french feel. They do add a surcharge for credit cards. I'm inclined to not support this practice. Bank charges should form part of the companies OPEX
Delicious french food, best pastries in Auckland very similar to pastries I have tasted in France.
Decided to have a quick bite to eat with a friend. This cafe is quite lovely, the staff are friendly (everyone speaks French) and the desserts look amazing. I ordered a pain aux chocolat, it was light and very yummy. Usually cabinet desserts that I’ve tried are dry but this wasn’t the case. My friend ordered a pizza which I tried as well and it was very nice too, enough cheese and the flavouring was lovely. There isn’t much seating options but this isn’t an issue, I liked the big table in the centre rather than small seperate ones. Would definitely come back and try some of their other desserts! Price range is okay, the usual prices for desserts are cafes!
An absolute experience of a visit, they offer a wide selection ranging from meats to sweets to jam. Everything tastes as good as it looks. A very French-like vibe and the staff can speak in French as well!
Brunch today. Takeaway patisseries other days. Ultimate perfection in French cuisine and pastry. (Yes I've lived in France so i know what it is like at home!).
An ex-pats dream, superb coffees in any fashion, a la francaise or 'Western'- galettes, crepes and superb imported cheeses etc. If you pine for the real thing, most [of it] is here.
While they've reduced the 'extras' over the years by dropping the 'homemade' flavoured terrines and other chilled dishes.
However the Palmier, genuine croissants, Madeleines, Tarte au citron etc. are all superb 10/10 plates.
A Ham Cheese and Mushroom galette with a pastry, Mouse Chocolat (hey its my birthday!) and a couple of Espresso and takeaway pastry was a fine brunch with someone special.
Some locals come here every week. For us its a pleasant once every while bonus and treat.
The staff, in a French establishment, are often, well, French, not terribly local except they live here/ pass thru. Been that way the more than 10 years Ive been popping in. A little French pleasantry can go a long way.
Highly highy recommended. 5+

We like everything about this cafe. The food, coffee, staff, ambience. Every bite is so delicious, whether it's savoury or sweet. Highly recommend the Xmas special booking. Highly popular. We love the place the first time we are there, then try to visit once a week.
Great pastry’s and cabinet food. Smaller setting so better to grab something and go. Lovely staff with great motives including using mugs to reduce waste from cups! Local staff who care and focus on pleasing the mt albert community.
Amazing selection of desserts, great ambiance and friendly staff. Tried their Chocolate Mousse, almond tart and Tiramisu and they were all good. Great place for pastries and cakes.
Such a cute place to go for brunch. I would describe it as a deli/cafe with a warm homely feel. The service was exceptionally friendly and it was very busy which is always a good sign. I had a citron tart which had great pastry and a zingy lemon filling....just how it should be. The other cabinet cakes looked just as good. Partner had the baked eggs with salmon which again was really tasty. A great find and will definitely be back to try the other desserts.
Consistently pleased here. Always very pleasant and quick service, great coffee and great variety of authentic French goods on display in the cabinets.
A great niche market venue, do take the time to browze the fridges. We had lovely desserts and drinks. Service was great with a degree of Authenticity, euro style....

Love coming here on weekends and trying something new each time. Cute brunch date spot. Love everything I've tried so far! So does my partner!
Excellent selection of cheeses at good prices. Great coffee and amazing sweets and pastries. Crepes are delicious! Take home French meals available too.
Nice cozy place, very hidden location, usually very busy , loads of repeat customers.
Thier pastries are delicious, Raisin Au Plain and raspberry danish. Thier coffee is delicious, if you bring in your own cup you save $0.20 I think.
A bit disappointed with the Mandalens, they are supposed to be light and fluffy from the inside, but it tastes just like a sponge cake.

Their tartes are amazing! Lots of different sorts and I've enjoyed every one of them. Very tasty and filling. Reasonable prices. The coffee is good too.
Always a pleasure coming here to fantastic service, food and drinks.
I do encourage trying out their iced drinks!
Interior is inviting with many seats although it can get busy and crowded.
Speaking French is encouraged.
Hardly many cafe showcase a stunning range of pastries and dessert. It's above average in terms of money but it is certainly worth it.
Its a great experience eating here.
Their Nutella crepes have loads of nutella and was very rich to what I expected. Avoid it for breakfast here unless you love your sweet stuff. The opera slice is a favourite. Macaroons are nothing like you've tasted. They don't leave a syrupy after taste in your mouth. They're light and fluffy!
Highly recommend. One of the better cafe in the area. Very popular among young and old.
Looking for a bite for your sweet tooth but not too heavy on your pocket or your tummy go to this place. Optmimum sized decilious pastries and patisserie works. Tried these two and some assortment of cookies and they were simply mind boggling!
One is a Royal au chocolat and almond tarte. Not good with the french names here but you will surely know from the pics. Heavenly! The royal au chocolat was a chocolate mousse with a biscuit layer on the bottom a crunchy middle layer topped with chocoate mousse and a dark chocolate fondant to top it off. The tart perfectly baked not too sweet just right for had a sour cherry gelatinous topping with almond shavings. Heavenly!
They have a cozy seating indoors and outdoor seating available for a bright day. It just made my day!
Lovely wee cafe and handy if you have kids you can grab a coffee and a pastry then cross over to the rocket park. Delicious pastries, not at all dry. Thought the regular size coffee was more like a small size but yummy coffee and hot Choc. Not very pushchair friendly though. Very narrow and cluttered but ok if you're taking away.
Love this little place, coffee is good as are the cold drinks. Panini I really like, mini strawberry cheese mousse cake thing gorg! Staff pleasant
Strong coffee, amazing pastries and melt-in-your mouth macarons. A step above your average bakery...a little pricy, but worth it. Though I found the béchamel sauce on my ham croissant a little meh.
This is my regular and I absolutely love this place. The coffee is always so good and the staff are very friendly. The food is delicious as well
Went here for the first time today. Ordered take away crepes and a drink each. The Lemon sugar crepe was really nice. I had an iced chocolate which was Devine would of been even better with some cream but that's okay. Iced peach tea was nice and so was savoury crepe. Would definitely go again :)
The croissant is the best while all bread is delicious!
Good fragrances of the bread always meet you.
It is our favorite bakery. It is the kindly shop which can relax.
Very friendly staff and delicious food/ coffee. Good to eat in or take across to Rocket park. Their croissants- especially almond are mouthwatering. Even though I can't speak any French, I love how the staff always greet you in French - they are a credit to the café. They have a comfy couch, newspapers and kids toys too.
Offers a great variety of good food, good service. Highly recommended their sweet treats. My personal favourite is chocolate bomb, it is simply amazing! Will come back soon for their french breakfast or sweet treats.
Cant fault the food and the baguettes are AMAZING. They have such a quick turnaround on the weekend that they are always warm - YUM. Have only eaten in once as its often very busy and not much room, but with Rocket park across the road you can always take out to there on a sunny day. Have a great deli selection and pastries to die for.....
A feast for the eyes! A wonderful selection of delicious looking foods. Take out coffee handy to take across the road to the Rocket Children's Playground. Refreshing after a walk up Meola Creek and Mt Albert.
Just had sweet treats and a coffee there which was very good. The staff was super friendly and I'd certainly recommend going there.
Great opening hours - finally a place to get a coffee after 4pm!!
The smell of french bread in the morning. delicious pastries and all sorts. you MUST go. YUM YUM!
Never eaten in - more of a takeout place - hugely popular, lovely staff, great coffee and delicious morsels and deli supplies including dinners to take home. Great place.
Fantastic food. Coffee can be weak, great service,
Great cafe fantastic service and amazing food. I have been here a few times but first time since the floods. Love this place.
Great food , love the pastries, love the croissants and the baguettes.
But my favourite is the pastry. Is French as it can get in Mt Albert
Excellent as usual! Love the new layout. The Croque Madame a must try!! 🤩😍
Heavenly, absolutely divine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Friendly staff
Located across the road from the Mt Albert Rocket play ground, plenty of street parking
Had a custard fruit pastry, an almond croissant and some other savoury pastry with feta on top. Really enjoyed the pastry, and I like that the sweet items weren't excessively sweet. It was a much needed treat on a rainy work day.
Thanks so much for the baguette lunch roll you prepared us (actually at Pt Chev.). I'm not generally one for French bread and thought I'd just buy a filled roll to keep my daughter happy. I was not prepared for the taste explosion that followed. This is no ordinary French cafe. Thank you for the experience. And we love your staff <3
Super friendly staff. Great for a small bite and coffee. If you have a sweet tooth, should try out their small dessert platter along with a drink. The lemon meringue and hazelnut toffee tarts were good.
Tried Le Benedicte and eggs on croissant for brunch. The food is tasty reminding my friends of their recent trip to France. The staff are very friendly. Also tried the vegetable baguette sandwich as takeaway which was delicious and flavourful.
It was unfortunate to see the cafe closed after the flooding, but they've got the pop up store in the back carpark! Looking forward to the cafe opening again so we can sit and enjoy the delicious pastries!
From interior design perspective, use the natural timber making hanging shelves and the bench deco, it creates the naturally comfortable atmosphere.
The Selections of the posters, reflect the culture of this Cafe” little French”.
Nice place for catching up, and taste the French style here.
Really nice place with amazing food, friendly staff, and good service. The wait can be a bit long sometimes as they are so popular. Worth it though!
We ordered big breakfast and egg on croissant and they were amazing. We liked that the siroin was included in big breakkie instead of sausages. The croissant was really good too. We also tried macarons and they just melted in our mouth, so good!!
Best croissants ever! I was really appreciative that the staff are so understanding and provide an outdoor booth for those of us who are a bit too nervous to venture indoors at the moment. So happy to see them expand to Mt Albert as the Point Chevalier location was always a must-go for me! 🥐 ✨
Havent been in a year, but the food was fantastic as always and definitely worth a trip to experience the properly reopened cafe. Special shoutout to the amazing steak baguette, delicious fesh bread, perfectly cooked steak and a velvety delicious house made sauce. Cannot recommend enough. Go there. Now.
Went here when it reopened! Loved the atmosphere and the almond croissant was so nice. Coffee was good too ;)
Pyrenees is a fine French delicatessen. Certainly one of Auckland's more enjoyable family cafes. I hadn't been here for some years and I rated it 100 per cent then. It's even better now. It has crepes, galettes, pastries, bread, superb cheese and remarkable sausages.
I smoked salmon in a tiny pot with a soft egg inside. My friend had a ham and tomato galette. Both served with a scrumptious green salad. Look at my photos. Too good!! Make the journey here with your family and friends. They'll be so impressed that they're going to want a return visit planned before you even depart! Believe me. Pyrenees is a special delight. Staff are so welcoming. They deserve to be happy, they're the talent which make Pyrenees a really impressive Zealand cafe.
Dairy free banana cake, Oat milk with double shot. Love the food, and the welcoming attitude and kindness. Every time I see my phsyo I stop for a quick coffee and a bite. Cheers
Nice little French cafe, food is very delicious, benne with classic tasty hollandaise sauce and home cured salmon.
Deserts are next level too.
