Mmmmmm this place has the best crispy pork on rice around the sauce is delicious and I always get extra. Ducks hanging is what drew me to this place.
Everyone has there own favourite chinese bbq meats outlet. This is my favourite. Everything from all the meats weather its bbq pork, crispy pork, soy chicken, duck, spring onion, cabbage and the chilly are on point. All the meats in the window are worth trying.
The menu is no different. Some items are pricey but are well worth it. The sizzling beef, spring onion and ginger is delicious. Wontons, fried rice, sweet and sour pork are yum. Nothing i have tried has disappointed so far. Great outlet for chinese. Service is a lil slow at times but is worth the wait.
Not flashest place to dine in but the food is decent this is my go to place for bbq pork on rice, I like how family orientated this restaurant is the kids helping and running around friendly staff always

This place isnt much to look at from outside, but I assure you this is seriously one of the best, if not the best chinese restaurant I have EVER dined at, food wise. The decor is a bit dated, but clean and tidy nevertheless.
We've dinned here a few times now, both, sit in and takeaway, and hand on heart, I have NEVER been disappointed.
The black pepper sizzling beef is a must, tender beef with the bite from the pepper makes this next level amazing. You also have to try their lemon chicken. It cant be found in their menu, so you have to ask for this out right. The sauce is devine along with the obvious, chicken and accompanied by a small rice both these dishes are the best I've ever tried, ever!
The chicken n sweetcorn soup is a must. Thick, full of texture and a delicious starter to the rest of your feast. Sweet n sour pork, great sauce to meat ratio, along with pineapple and capsicum, which is still fabulously crunchy, along with their chow mains (any and all meat) the vegetables are still stir fried enough to be cooked but crunchy enough to enjoy with the sauce and meats.
This really is a great place, and its family run, who just know how to deliver beautiful, fresh, tasty cuisine.
Check this place out..... you will NOT be disappointed with any of the dishes I've mentioned above.

Master Chinese Restaurant (MCR) was a place I frequently passed by on the bus on my way home from university. Despite frequently glimpsing at was their unspectacular BBQ display and tired looking interior I couldn't help but notice the foot traffic and long queues at the counter. Something in me told me it restaurant I had to try at least once.
As far as their Hong Kong BBQ goes, the BBQ (honey glazed) pork was a bit of a let-down as it was a bit dry and lacking in sweetness. The Roast Pork on the other hand is nothing short of spectacular. The skin is crispy, the meat is tender and tasty and the fat melts in your mouth. It can also be ordered as topping for a decent vegetarian fried rice which is a personal favorite of mine. Speaking of favorites, another one of my go-to’s is the Hot & Spicy (Mapo) Tofu. It has always been a dish I liked in concept but was never wowed by in practice. MCR’s Mapo Tofu is outstanding. The sauce is nicely layered and bursting with flavor, they give a good amount of meat and tofu was silky smooth. It’s the first Mapo Tofu I’ve tried with an actual kick and remains the best Mapo Tofu I've had to date. On the flip side of the coin, I have never been a big fan of Beef Brisket but I was impressed by MCR’s offering. The beef was as tasty as it was tender. The mixed vegetables were a very good addition in adding different, often crunchy textures while giving a break from the meatiness. Moving on, if I were to describe the Chicken Foo Young in one word, it would be adequate. It contained a plethora of vegetables including courgette, carrots, peas, onions and broccoli. It wasn't light on the chicken (a big plus) and the egg was slightly wet on the inside. It’s not the most memorable item on the menu but something you can't go wrong with.
The restaurant looks tired but there were no issues with cleanliness. They give you a pot of tea and spoon and fork rather than chopsticks when you sit down and the service is what you'd expect from a Chinese takeaway. The prices are very reasonable especially given the hefty portions.
I am very glad I decided to give Master Chinese Restaurant a chance as it has quickly skyrocketed to the top of the list of my favorite eateries. Whether you're craving for some great Chinese takeaway or feed a large group, MCR strikes the perfect balance between deliciousness, menu size and affordability to suit the occasion. Most importantly, it serves as the quintessential example of the phrase ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ since what you find may really surprise in the best kind of way.

After a ten pin bowling practice working up the appetite. One says to come to this place, so this place it was. Walked in and judged its cover before eating lol it was a small regular Chinese looking place. Lady showed us to our seat of four. First of all for a small place the seating were completely comfy as I’m a big person and used to to squeezing into seats lol✔️ Looking at the menu saw nice dishes ordered a whole bunch and to my surprise our food came out really fast which is a good thing✔️ By now what ever I thought of this little place when walking in has now been forgotten due to the oh so delicious food. I’ve been proven wrong with my judgement on cover before trying not to mention how busy this little place was shows how good their food is. My 4star rating is for the food.

Food is always good, plenty of elbow room and a table usually available. Only down side is the decor leaves something to be desired.

Love this place it is filled with many delisious Asian choices, for example the park sweet and sour, popular roast duck/pork on rice, the simple but yum chicken soup and many more to choose from. Prices are reasonable and taste for price is worth the try. I'd recommend the chicken soup it is a good apetizer. Besides that experiment a little there are so many dishes to choose from. Service is ok. Time for food is reasonably quick.
Ordered Roast pork with rice and Seafood Chow Mien and It was really nice. There are a lot of food to choose from. The food is cheap and the serving is huge. We're a regular customer here now. Not comfortable for dining in and we always order take away.

Decor and interior may need a little renovating. Run by a family as I can tell and has a home felt atmosphere. Customer service is ok, just some language barriers as the staffs English is probably their second language but despite that the food is so tasty and delicious, the bbq pork and duck are amazing :) buy food from there nearly every week.

Been here a couple of times already. Me and my boyfriend tried their roast pork and BBQ pork a couple of times now and also tried their lunch box. The lunch box was okay, there were too much rice that we expected but me, being asian, is used to rice. However, he wasnt so we were disappointed that the meat to rice ratio werent equal. Still a good place and a cheap place to go to whenever we crave roast dishes.
This place is delicious the food is a 10/10. They have the best deep fried prawns I've ever tried. It's such a hidden gem in panmure. The only thing that could be improved on is probably the interior and the customer service. But these don't really matter when the food is as good as it is!
Huge fan of their fried rice and spring rolls. Staff their are lovely. Venue is ok could do with a little renovation to brighten it up. Otherwise food and service are always great.

Chinese Food was incredibly well-cooked here at this Panmure eatery. Roasted pork fried rice was excellent - rice, perfectly-fried; skin of pork, crispy. Beef brisket noodle soup was very good as well - nice noodles, good portion of brisket & rich soup; MSG was probable. I'll definitely return with friends for more varieties. We ordered 3 dishes but we we're so hungry that i forgot to take a photo of the vegetable noodles and the deep fried squids and also because our food came not at the same time. The service was a bit slow but good thing their food was so good. You have to try the roasted pork and rosted lamb on rice. It was so tasty!!!

We ordered a $11 Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and $11 Stir Fried Vege with Black Bean sauce with rice.
Due to quite some no's of customer in the restaurant, we have to wait a bit for the dish. The staff was welcoming and provide us with complimentary Chinese tea.
The dish was standard in portion and good in taste. The noodle soup has medium flavor broth and the beef brisket taste quite good. The noodle was nicely prepared. The stir fried vege has a good stir fry and taste was delicious.
The food serve are reasonably tasty and authentic Chinese style. However, there are other restaurant nearby offer similar food which are good in taste and a LOWER price point.
Hence, if you are OK with the price, the place was recommended for descent southern China / HK style dish.
The food is delicious and it is also not expensive. I came here at least 20 times and it usually good.

Stumbled on this restaurant by chance while looking for a place to eat in Panmure. We saw the line of people waiting for takeaway and the duck hanging from the front window. There's actually a restaurant tucked around the back. The service was slow as it was a busy week night.
Once seated, we ordered enough for leftovers for the next day. First came the beef brisket noodle soup- this was exactly what I was after on a cold night! The noodle was nice and crunchy, soup had good flavour, and beef brisket was cooked nice and tender. I will come back here for this and try their wonton noodle soup as well.
Next was the Roast Pork fried rice, I liked the addition of bean sprouts in this to add a bit of crunch.
Then we ordered something we had never tried before and had no idea what it actually is. The Beef Fingers with Beijing sauce came. My oh my, this was sensational!
Came here on another night and had the wonton soup- wontons fillings were pork and prawn. The pastry skin is silky smooth.
Roast meat on rice is awesome here too! There are 3 sizes to choose from. The one in the photo is Medium (same amount of rice but more meat than a small).
Ok, let's be direct to the point- this place is like a little joint hidden in a dark alley in HongKong. But their food was consistently good, hearty and satisfying and oh very cheap. What's more you can ask for. My roast duck and bbq pork rice was a serious killer!
The area and restaurant looks little bit old and not welcomed however inside was clean and big.
I went there for quick dinner on weekday so there were not many people but not empty. Service was good and friendly. I had bbq pork and roasted duck on rice which was pretty good! The portion was alright for the price.
Will go back again for sure to try other dishes.

Love the wontons and deepfried squid with sweat and sour sauce always crispy, fresh and piping hot. All time fav duck and roast pork is on point each and every time I dine here! Fried rice is tasty and fluffy. Chicken egg fuyong is delish. the price has gone up slightly since I first tried it years ago bt taste remains the same. Customer service not exceptional th receptionist cant speak much english and they need more waitresses as the one lady seems really busy bt that won't stop me going back time and time again. My fav chinese place!!

That great little restaurant is located at the end of the main stretch of Panmure. Husband and I decided to go for a late dinner. As you can see from the picture I couldn't wait to dig into my meal. The service needs improving but food is consistently awesome every time I have been, whether it's dining in or on the run after kids sports and taking away. Food is served fast. Last night we tried: battered prawns, salt n spicy squid, beef n black bean sauce and wonton noodle soup and crispy duck. Delish! Everything was. We missed out on the crispy pork as they had sold out! Popular! Highly recommend this restaurant for a quick snack or dinner with friends. Value for money yes!

At the end of the main stretch of Panmure is where you'll find Master Chinese restaurant tucked away. It's not the prettiest picture but is decent enough! Classic features of Chinese BBQ joints,with roast and BBQ ducks hanging in the window.
This place has some great dishes and really good lunch specials. I have come here on frequent occasions, and the food is consistent and well portioned. The soya chicken and roast dishes are always good. The service could do with some improvements but the food is quick to the table so that's a plus. Worth a visit for a quick lunch or a casual group dinner.
Cheap, good food, friendly staff, quick service. Not too sure about cleanliness but I never have any issue with that. The BBQ meats are favourites, but they also do a great wonton soup (aside from the usual fried rice and egg foo yung).

Tucked at the Kings Rd end of Panmure is this long standing mid range chinese diner. You come for modestly priced large dishes and a range of cafe and take away styled foods e the roast ducks and porks seen hanging in the window. Decor has changed little over the ten or so years I have been here. It was a handy food joint and does a very strong takeaway trade.
Beef brisket with tofu came in an odd stainless steel dish with a long handle filled with veges like carrots and celery. Sauce was not as thick as a usual casserole but there was an authentic taste and I liked how the sauce doesn't overcome the taste of the meat. 3/5
Half a roast duck - this was served with a light sauce. Possibly one of their best and most popular dishes. You can tell they sell a lot if they have roasted a lot of ducks. Meat wasn't fatty was tender and moreish. 4/5
Pork belly casserole with sliced taro is a dish not often seen on menus as it is not well known and taro is an acquired taste. This dish doesn't win any heart foundation ticks either with the pork belly fat laid on. Sadly our dish could have been prepared better. It is frozen and with a sauce added or frozen with the sauce also. Came out with the centre still really cold!! Yuk mouthful of frozen taro and pork!! Flavour was ok but the icey cold was unacceptable. 2/5
As a veges dish ordered the fried beans and mince with black bean sauce. A favourite dish and this was done reasonably well not too salty which can be the case elsewhere. 4/5
What is common is before hand after ordering but while you wait for the mains a soup is served. We got the soup the same time as the first mains. It wasn't served just brought out with some bowls and the waitress left with then still in a stack. Tasted nice but annoying given if you drink soup your mains will get cold. Not sure if the waitress had just forgotten it till later. Overall the service was poor. One waitress really for 5-6 occupied tables in a dining hall of 20 tables. 2/5 for service.
I like this place, it's my regular Chinese food joint. The food is very authentic, well priced, the staff are very nice and the restaurant is well maintained.

My aunt and I have been coming here for almost 10 years. Our fave dish is the quarter duck on rice with an extra side of spring onion. It's my first pick for a lunch out with the girls and one of my top places I love bringing newbies to. De-lish!!

Whenever we have Chinese takeaways during working days, this would be top choice as it's quick, cheap and tasty. I always go for the wonton noodles soup ... at $7.90 it's cheap as chips and you get a lot for what you pay! :-)

A humble little place to eat. Food was excellent, big servings. Service was good. Lovely ladies. Will surely be going back to dine. Highly recommend if you are having a craving for Chinese food.
We used to live in Panmure and come here all the time. Moved away 7 years ago and havent been able to find something to match. 7 years later and it still tastes as amazing, the size is great as well as the service! Worth the 7 year wait!!
Been coming here for years and the quality is still just as good. Currently it's open for takeaways only under Level 3 protocols. There were plenty of phone orders but you can still order on the spot, but need to wait. Best to bring your own bag, otherwise there is an extra charge. Parking available nearby or it's right by the bus stop
Excellent and always fresh food. I have been going to this place for years. The decor is not the best but who goes there to look at that? I recommend the duck and pork dishes. Family friendly. Service is quick and the prices are reasonable. Tracey that works there is a gem!

I love the food and I especially love the taste of it. You don't fet the kind of taste anywhere else it's unique and it's something masters only does. I love how friendly the staff are. One thing I don't like is the amount of rice thats given, even though I like rice but I feel like the dish has more rice then meat or greens (cabbage/bok choy). It would be nice to have more spring onions as I feel like that's what makes the dish because it gives it that salty taste.
The best money can buy i travel a long way for this food and the people are lovely too
