Came here desperate for a coffee after being systematically ignored at Dizengoff down the road. A total breath of fresh air to have friendly service!! And great coffee. The pies look great, I’ll try one next time. A little oasis of kindness & hospitality in Ponsonby. Many nearby cafes could learn from the service at this unassuming little joint.
Best pies in Auckland (self proclaimed). Very decent pies indeed! Whole chunks of meat and ingredients you can see, excellent coffee, friendly matron who served us provided excellent service. Well worth a visit!

Greatest pies on earth live here! It's a Shane this place is not a destination but somehow this business needs to be highlighting it's potential ! I highly rate all of the good here and it's a great name! Maybe it's time for a new spot! Sarah Forsyth #g6
Well known for it's amazing pies, especially the coveted Mexican pie which is my first choice whenever I am there. It includes sour cream, jalapenos, mince, cheese and tabasco :-) One of the few cafes along P Rd with it's own off street car parking and also easy to find a table to sit at, with a nice row of outdoor tables as well, it is a relaxing choice for a tasty bite in the fashionable part of Ponsonby!
Awesome chocolate brownies! Had them once and keep going back for more. Great service - will need to try a pie next time, they look divine.
Pies are good but be prepared to wait a long time if you order from the menu as they are painfully slow even when no one else there

This place is really where everyone needs to go and get their pie or coffee fix! Not only do you have the convenience of FREE parking in front of the cafe, but if you get a seat outside, you have the unobstructed view of the Sky Tower while you dig into your delicious hot pies and amazing lattes.
I love the vegetarian pie and also the muffins & scones are something you gotta make room for!
The staff are great and even the owner/manager Reuben served us with a big smile. A must GO TO place for anyone that needs to eat great pies in Auckland.
Best Pies in Auckland. I love the chicken & mushroom Pie, creamy mushroom is really delicious. one pie is enough for one person. so so so so good. I always got Pie and Salad combo, they have a great selection fresh salads you can choose from. double shot coffee is no extra cost. good services.
Pies are superb & friendly service! Fresh juices and smoothies are divine. They also have their own carpark, very handy to have in Ponsonby! Will be back

Didn't try anything else but all looked amazing - coconut ice, slices galore, massive range of cabinet food. Will be back. Regularly. Good coffee too!

Something else the Kiwi does much better than their tinfoil cup, soggy pastry mates across the Tasman. The sign outside says it all, “Best Pies in Town”.
Great pies, good coffee and yummy thick shakes. Wraps, focaccias, gourmet sandwiches. Convenient location, good seating, always a mag or the paper to read, really lovely staff and nice lax atmosphere.
Vego, vegan, gluten free options available as well.
All the normal pies with some fantastic original recipes. Chicken Mushroom Pesto, and also the jalapeño Huffer are two of my favourites. The good ole steak and mushroom pie is a hearty one too.

We had breakfast at The Food Room today, and what an absolute treat that was. We were four people and were greeted by the most lovely elderly man who took our orders by memory, and although our orders orders came one by one, and got swapped around here and there, every plate was served in the most hospitable and amiable manner.
Unfortunately, this was our last day in Auckland, otherwise, we would have had breakfast here every day.
The huffer pie is my favourite but they are all seriously good home made pies
