After weeks of eating bland food, finally made a trip to Tianfu noodle. The food was absolutely delicious. The takeaway was still warm when I arrived home and taste was so fresh. Just the right amount of heat and spice mix. The noodles and dumplings tasted so fresh and truly lifted my mood. The staff was as usually very helpful in selecting the right food and spice level. Absolutely loved my lunch today. Thank you guys and keep up the great work!!
This is the best Authentic Sichuan restaurant I have been to in Auckland. The owners take a lot of pride in making their food, and puts in the time in making the perfect broth for the soup base. I always make sure I finish every single drop of the soup or take away🐷 Highly recommend the beef tendon/ pig trotter or pork intestine noodles if you are on the adventurous side.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place before and my expectations were definitely met! I love that their food is quite customisable - you can choose the size, spice level and kind of noodles you want.
It was a boiling day today so we both got cold noodles (shaved noodles), as well as the dumplings in spicy sauce which are a favourite here. I got medium for my noodles, it was a bit hotter than most places’ medium so it was great for me since I love spicy food. I really liked the texture of the shaved noodles, quite thick and satisfying. The dumplings were also very good, can definitely see why people love them!
Service was really great! It was a bit busy when we came in but someone came over right away to clear a table for us. The food came out very quick too. It was quite cheap even without using Zomato Gold, was around 32 or 33 for the three dishes pictured.
Overall, definitely recommend if you’re looking for something affordable with a spicy kick.
Dan Dan noodle, spicy beef noodle and dumplings in spicy sauce. Really flavorsome with that fresh hint of coriander which balanced out the beef mince flavors and spice. Dumpling pastry was slightly on the thick side and I found the spicy sauce to be a little too oily- would’ve been better with more soy. The spice chart was very inconsistent. I requested tiny spice for mine (the most minimal) and still found I had to drink water throughout the whole thing. So it’s definitely not for people who aren’t tolerant to spice because I guarantee even if you ask for none, you’ll still get more than ya bargained for. Nevertheless it’s a haven for spice lovers. Also tried the shaved noodle and rice noodle. The shaved noodle required more chewing and had a pasta like texture, much preferred the rice noodle for a bowl of classic noodle soup
Rating: 4. Small & cozy, but packed with people for an early dinner for Saturday night. I ordered the rice noodles with braised pork intestines in casserole in medium spicy. The counter staff picked up that I haven’t been there before & warned me about the spiciness, so I downgraded to the mild. I usually eat quite spicy, but lucky she warned me, even the mild was extremely spicy, I only just managed to handle it. Nonetheless I really enjoyed the noodles. A little plain, could’ve done with some green veggies or bamboo shoots or black fungus. Overall still very good.

Been wanting to come for ages and finally came last night. So glad I did! I got the noodles with pork mince and chives, super flavorful soup noodles at a great price. Love how you can adjust the spice level.
Had the dumplings in spicy sauce which was very tasty but just a bit too sweet. Definitely gonna try next time for other dishes.

Was always curious of this place and I regret not visiting sooner! My friend suggested the dandan noodles and the dumplings, which I equally recommend - especially the dumplings because they are very delicious.
Try the medium spice if you like the numbness the chili gives out.
Service was average, no one really greets you so you just have to go and find an empty seat. But the taste prevailed over this.
Whenever I'm feeling likes spicy dumplings, this is the place to go 😋 Their dumplings in spicy sauce is a go to whenever you're craving dumplings and it's always good during the colder season! I always pair the dumplings with their dandan noodles which is also just as good. Their prices are affordable for the amount you get! Wished they gave more salad greens with the dandan noodles. Have already recommended this place to my colleagues and they also enjoy the food! 10/10

hand pulled noodles are thin, smaller and tastes fresh. Medium spicy is not overly spicy so I'll try the next level up next time. Their spicy beef noodles (#4) is the best. Their dan dan noodles are nice too, it's the soupy dandan not like the dry ones that are sold at Basu. The beef intestine was alright. The dumpling in chicken soup was alright too. If you don't like coriander remember to ask for NO CORIANDER. The place gets busy but the food is served within minutes. Service is efficient.
I had lunch here awhile back and it was really delicious. I got the dan dan noodles and it looked/tasted like Eden Noodles. Portions were massive and extremely affordable, I’ll be back!
Great spot for Sichuan spicy noodles in Newmarket. Quick service, polite staff. Very clean and well-lit. Difficult to get a seat at certain times of the day. Absolutely delicious food and good portions at affordable prices.
I've had the dandan noodle soup, the spicy noodle soup with pork intestines, and the dumplings in hot and sour soup-- all very tasty. The shaved noodles are great at soaking all the flavour of the soup, it's worth the extra dollar.

love the shaved noodles here! dan dan noodles as well as the pork and chives are my favourite. I am a spice fiend but usually only order mild or medium here as it is quite spicy indeed. I'd say you'd come here for the food and not ambience as it is a simple layout. Liked the staff members there as well, they speak english and are to the point.
If you’re looking for a cheap lunch that tastes good and fills you up then this is the place to go. Been here 3 times already and I’ve never been disappointed. You can choose the type of noodle you want and the spicy level as well. Service is average but the food is amazing. The dandan noodles are so delicious and the soup is lovely- I ordered with hot level for the spice. My favourite though is the cold Sichuan noodles- has great flavour it’s addicting. I usually get medium spice for this one. Brought my parents here as well and they have pretty high standards with food but they loved tianfu and said that we must come back again!
Excellent noodle. Top 5 for chinese noodle in Auckland. The waiter could recommend good combination between noodle, broth, dumpling. Mild is spicy enough for most. Tiny spicy would be more enjoyable for my case. Should have order large because medium does not have a lot of meat. Only 4 or 5 pieces.

Came for dinner after a movie. After reading some of the reviews I went with a medium spicy in case it got too hot. I ordered a medium bowl of the dan dan noodles and a small dumpling in spicy sauce.
The noodles were spicy but not overly (and that was only medium). I did get a bit of the numbing after eating for a bit. Noodles had a nice bite. The dumplings were great. The spicy sauce was also sweet so it went really well with the spicier noodles.
A decent and tasty meal for under $20. Really good value.

Came here with two friends on a rather quiet Sunday night. We were in the area and were looking for a quick dinner so we decided to come here. I had never heard of this place previously so was not expecting much but the noodles here were surprisingly good and I would say on par with places I go to regularly, like Eden Noodles and Chongqing noodles.
We order three bowls of noodles, the dumplings in spicy sauce and the slobbery chicken. The spicy beef noodles with shaved noodles was flavourful and had a nice level of heat to it. The noodle texture was also excellent. Beware though, this place does not mess around with the spice, I ordered the 2x spicy and it was indeed very spicy that I had to buy a drink.
The dumplings in spicy sauce was also very good and I think I actually prefer the ones here over the Eden noodles ones. The sauce was better balanced, with a nice heat as well as a good amount of vinegar and sugar. The dumplings themselves were also plump and meaty.

One of BEST in Newmarket! ⭐️ Quick, spicy, delicious, and the poops were fan-fucking-tastic afterwards.
I got the medium level of spice and boy was it spicy! Put your pride aside and get mild if you’re like me and THINK you can handle spice. It was tolerable and yum, but I think it would’ve been more enjoyable if I weren’t dying from the heat.
Spicy-ness aside, the noodles were so tasty too 🤤 and for the price, this place is definitely somewhere you should make a visit if you’re looking for a cheap lunch.
I highly recommend the dumpling in spicy sauce. It was so good I was secretly hoping my partner will give me the last piece of dumpling even after eating most of it. I also ordered dandan noodles which I really enjoyed as it was full of flavour and not too spicy. Overall, I was happy with the food, the price, the service, and the staff.

Been here many times and I will be back many times.
I regularly order their "little spicy" shaved beef noodles- sometimes the spicy sour soup.
Let me tell you, this place is definitely worth your money! These noodles are so filling, so delicious, I want to cry! Well I literally cry eating it as I do not deal with spicy food too well, but I still can't stop eating it because it is SO GOOD! I always leave super full- I usually don't even like the noodle/rice of a dish but holy jesus, I eat this like no tomorrow! The soup is amazing and just overall amazing. Best noodles in AKL in my opinion.
The owners are always so so friendly. i even walked in once when they were closing, already cleaning, etc and they still served me. i would have totally understood if they turned me away but they welcomed me in.
There are 3 places in New Market that are my go-to's and this is one of them. Definitely try this place if you can eat spicy, and even try it if you can't! They have mild options too, and OMGG 😍😍

We came at midday on a Thursday and while it was definitely bustling, we managed to get a table.
We ordered the Noodle soup with minced pork & soybean paste (杂酱面), Pork dumplings in spicy sauce (钟水饺), and Sichuan jelly with spicy sauce (四川凉粉).
The noodles had a great flavour and the shaved noodles were cooked to perfection. The dumplings were packed with juices and the skin was quite smooth. Everything was delicious and definitely comparable to Eden Noodles and would make a good substitute if you weren’t willing to line up. Service was also very friendly and quick.
My absolute favourite dish is the Sichuan cold noodles. Large portion and super cheap. They recommend having it with the normal wheat noodles as the kumura one has a rougher mouth feel. The spring onion and sesame sauce was super flavourful!

Please don’t dismiss this place from the way it looks initially with its plastic foodcourt chairs. Infact - it kinda feel fitting for the ‘street food’ aesthetic.
Their hand-shaved noodles are so delicious and the soup is full bodied and rich with flavour. Choose your level of spice - but caution that if you choose spice, it is intense.

Highly recommend the spicy sauce dumplings! Spicy and sweet. They have different spice levels, but "hot" isn't that hot: maybe quarter the spice level of the Korean Fire Noodles. The place is super clean and the owner is very kind and friendly.
Cheap and large portion in Newmarket. Was craving this type of cuisine and it didn’t disappoint.
Try to go for medium size and medium spicy else it’ll be too much

I know this place specialises in spicy food but I can’t eat that spicy. Usually restaurants do have non spicy version to cater those who can’t cope with hot food but since it’s not their speciality, I don’t expect much. This place proved that I was wrong! Non spicy noodles are equally yum:)
I ordered noodles with braised meat, egg and vegetable. For braised meat, we can choose from the menu like pig’s ears, beef, ox tripe (if you don’t choose then it will probably be the default which is beef). I was too hungry so I didn’t look at the menu probably but apparently you can also choose different types of noodles (and spiciness).
First of all, soup was really yum and noodles went well with that. Ox tripe is one of my favourite food and it was nicely cooked and tender👍🏻 I put some chilli oil in my bowl but I added too much😂 it was spicy but addictively spicy so even though my lips were red I still kept eating.
A lot of people may think Chinese restaurants are usually low in hygiene or whatever but this place is very clean and neat. Menu has Chinese and English written and a bowl of middle sized noodles only costs you $10! If you are craving for Chinese food in Newmarket, definitely go to this one!
I always go here for dumplings (spicy sauce) with the add on for bean curd sheets. It’s so so so good! Would also recommend their snack dish - fried bean curd in spicy sauce (not sure of its exact name). That is so spicy BUT it’s incredibly delicious!!
Our go-to place for spicy chinese food. The slobbery/saliva/mouth watering chicken (口水鸡) is soo good. Love all the cold starters and noodle dishes.

I ordered a cold noodle with shredded chicken via a delivery app. The taste was really good and aromatic. I will definitely reorder.
It would be even better if the noodles are cooked to al-dente.
Found this restaurant by accident, we are so impressed with its food, service and its cleaness. Mum ordered Dandan handpull noodles, I ordered pork minced rice, hubby ordered dumplings soup. All taste super delicious, it is what I imagined how sichuan food should taste like. The staff is super friendly too, and reminded us which food is spicy, and good for kids. Not to mention the environment is clean too. All the bowls and utensils were warm and brought out from the sterilizer. We got so excited, and so impressed and will definitely come back again. When we came out of the restaurant, realised it was on Metro cheap eat Top 50. It truly deserves the title!!!

The lady at the counter is helpful every time with my order and makes suggestions when we can’t decide. It seems like everything on the menu looks super tasty and even takeaway is nicely presented.
“Small spicy” is usually enough however if you do want a chilli hit you can go for spicier! (It’s actually really spicy, so make sure you can handle it)

Today I tried wheat noodle with chicken gizard and heart, it is very hot the gizard and heart taste nice, but the wheat noodle is pretty standard, I'd prefer cleaver noodle.

Tianfu noodles is quickly becoming a local favourite for those who work in Newmarket. They make authentic, delicious and flavoursome Chinese food at a very reasonable price. If you like Chinese food, in particular dumplings, wontons, noodles and spicy food, you must give this place a try! I like how you can choose the level of spiciness, type of noodles, and the wonton and dumpling fillings. The portions are very generous and the staff are really nice and friendly and food arrives quickly. They also do rice dishes and traditional Chinese desserts. The place is well kept and clean. Some of my favourites here so far have been the beef rice noodles casserole, the shaved beef noodles and all the dumplings, the skin is so delicate and smooth and there is a good amount of filling in there. Everyone I've brought here has also raved about it!
They do Authentic dandan noodles and mince noodles from Sichuan province. ice jelly with brown sugar sauce, best in Auckland so far. Spicy food lovers will love their street food.
Decided to give this new place a try the other day. We ordered 3 different flavor noodle, wonton in spicy sauce and dumpling in spicy sauce. Service were great and you can tell them how spicy you want for each dish. Recommend their Dan Dan noodle 🍜
Ordered shaved noodles (meat sauce and soybean paste) and pork & chive dumplings in spicy sauce on the side, which was absolutely delicious. The sauce was sweet yet salty and went very well with the chive dumplings. The shaved noodles were also amazing as they were chewy and handmade very well.
Their food tends to be on the spicier side but there are indications for spicy dishes in the menu so make sure to ask carefully. Otherwise, their non-spicy dishes can be modified on a scale from mild to spicy.
Overall had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place! Hopefully more people recognise it!
Probably one of the best spicy noodles I’ve ever had. Noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right level of chewiness, the soup flavor was the perfect level of spiciness and taste (not like the ones tailored to local tastebuds). The beef were so tender with the right amount of fattiness which melts in your mouth.
The dumplings were also really good. The minced pork was seasoned well and tastes amazing!
I would definitely come back here again if I’m in Auckland. Highly recommended!
Had a lot of high expectations as it was so hyped on social media and through word of mouth.. but left slightly unsatisfied. The Dan Dan noodles were lacking in flavour and the mince was hard like biting into pebbles. The dumplings in spicy sauce was super good. Cucumber was nice as well. I would say the overall flavour here is more spicy and clean (less oily) compared to their competitor Eden noodles. However I still prefer Eden noodles as they are more flavourful. We got rice noodle and kumara noodle option, I recommend kumara noodles as it’s thick and chewy. Will definitely come back to try different dishes until we find one we love.
Noodles were very chewy and nice, very hearty bowl of dumpling soup too! Quite a great place to come to during rainy days if we feel like a chinese home cooked meal. Generous portions too.
TianFu Noodles is definitely the place to go for a bowl of warm-your-heart-and-stomach spicy noodles. Go for at least Hot to get the bang. If you want bang bang spicy, then of course the Extra Hot. Hot is Hot. Be ready. Love this place.#3 Dan Dan and #4 Spicy Beef are the best of the bunch.
Very good Chinese noodle. Every noodle is tasty and well seasoned. You can add coriander in the noodle makes it better. Pork intestines was perfectly cooked. Dumpling was average.
Delicious food with generous portions for a decent price of $31! We had two medium sized bowls of noodles: braised beef shaved noodles and spicy pig intestines shaved noodles. Medium spice level was super spicy even for someone that can handle spice. 🌶️ Highly recommend if you are after authentic hand made Chinese noodles in Auckland!
Authentic Sichuang noodles and other food served here. I really like the way all the cups, glasses and chopsticks are cleaned thoroughly, not like some other eateries you can see grease on them.

Got the Noodles in Spicy Beef soup and the dumplings in spicy sauce. The noodles were perfectly al dente with a nice chew to them and the beef was very tender. The dumplings were also very tasty but only lukewarm so not as good as they could've been but overall a very delicious noodle joint that's probably up there as the best in Newmarket
Called in here Tuesday 28 November 2023 after a few years break. Price has increased from $9 to $15 for wanton noodle soup. Bit salty & spicy when I asked for the plan chicken clear one.

I’ve been to this place many times and I always enjoy the food. Authentic dishes with pleasant sichuan spicy kick to it. All dishes are cheap. Personal favourite is the dumplings in chilli sauce. All noodles are tasty too.
I've eaten here and had takeaways from here many times over the part few years. Highly recommend the Noodle Soup with Spicy Beef (shaved noodles), Dumplings in Spicy Sauce, and the Cucumber Salad. Good level of spice. Great service. Perfect location. Many family and friends have also enjoyed Tian Fu. Recently moved overseas but will definitely visit every time I'm in Auckland.
