the man seems grumpy, but he is very nice actually. the kumara chips seems burnt, but they are not burnt and so yummy actually. price up recently as everywhere else, but I still think this shop is the best fish n chips shop in the area. their deep fried food doesn't smells like ordinary fish n chip

The place has been opened for 20 years and I can see why :) Great fish & chips. The oil that was used was not old and that’s important when you have fish and chips :) The owner of the place is who actually cooked and served us - a genuine guy! Would definitely recommend this place and will come back

This place is great, their burgers are awesome are good sized and are not short with any ingredients. Only been here a couple if times now, but both times have been fantastic. Highly recommend trying them out if you haven't already.
Ordered $12 chips and were super delicious, crunchy and well seasoned-the portion size was perfect too. First time here, service wasn't exactly great however the food was enjoyable and I would definitely come back to try more!

Newton chippery cooks them better than very good. Chef will make them and season to your taste. Genuine fish, hearty burgers. 10 years satisfaction.
