We went there for a dinner on a Sunday evening. We had two course Peking duck for two people. Good proportions and great service! I especially liked the wrap which was more chewy and thinner than other places.
We ordered two combination on rice: the bbq pork is so delicious and tender, the crispy roast pork is so crispy and delicious. Highly recommend! Big portions and friendly service:)

Great portions and taste. We've been coming here for some time and the food is always consistently good. May not have the best ambience but if you're wanting a good canton style feed for good value, this is the place to come!
In all honestly I love this place so much. I’ve been coming here since I was about 9 or 10 years old and I’m now 22.. was always the go-to for my family when I was growing up. I haven’t been in a while but the food is amazing. Crispy pork belly, bbq pork, roasted duck, combination meats fried noodles, chicken and sweet corn soup.. all amazing. So well priced too!!

Conveniently located in Albany highway, this restaurant comes with 2 course duck at a very affordable price of 55 bucks. Ambience is great- surprisingly clean for a chinese restaurant, and they are grade A too! Food tastes good enough especially for the price. Not as good as the expensive duck places but good enough. Will come back to this restaurant.
Have been coming here with my family for years, and recently heard ownership has changed but thankfully the chef hasn't! The food tonight was all absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are slightly smaller than they used to be but I guess that's standard for most restaurants these days. The aunties are lovely and I love that they still serve complimentary soup and red bean mochi. Will continue to come here for all family dinners!

Pretty decent, cheap and cheerful chinese eateries. Our family likes coming here because the portion is huge and taste quite good. There is always takeaways for lunch the next day. Don’t expect first class service and space can be quite tight but you get what you paid for. Their Peking duck is so worth it!
We went there last night. The food was delicious and the portions were massive. Lively and lovely waitresses. When we finished dining we got a free box of BBQ eggs, which made us feel like V.I.Ps. Would recommend without hesitation to friends.
Not a bad dinner for $11. You get 6 meats to choose from, can pick 2 or 3 but prices vary. taste good, cheap eats. Have a been here a few times and enjoyed it eat time.

I love this place, and my older brother actually says it's his favourite because they serve flavourful Chinese food in decent portions – for good prices.
My favourite is the combination tofu claypot with seafood, bbq pork, chicken and veges.
They also have roast duck and bbq pork hanging at the front too. Lots of locals seem to call in for takeaways.
It's not fine-dining so the restaurant itself isn't the flashiest, nor does it seem to be the cleanest. But I can't remember experiencing a problem with hygiene in my meals.
I'd happily recommend this place for the quality of food.
Giving this place a 4 as I've been here multiple times and each visit is consistent as well as the food. Very authentic flavours and the owner owns Huk Ka Hut not too distant from here. Definitely recommend takeaway again can get quite busy during dinner time
Good food. Good price. But communication can be a real issue. At least ot was for me. After a comprehensive attempt on my part to tell them what I wanted, I got something different. Its the language barrier. The served food was good nevertheless. Its a local lunchtime favourite. Recommended.
Been coming here for years. Mostly with the family. We always order the set menu. Roast and bbq pork, sweet and sour pork, combination fried rice, ginger/soy chicken and the beef. Always a great tasty meal. Fast service and always friendly. A great reasonably priced meal.
Good Chinese food at affordable price. They do great noodles/rice for lunch and dishes with rice at night.
A very busy restaurant.. So make sure you go early or book if you want to dine there for dinner. If not, just do takeaway.
They give complimentary soup as starter, and dessert after your meal in the evenings.
I recommend ordering the fish/broccoli, It's so yummy👌🏻 aswell as the honey glazed ribs. All the food is reasonably priced as you get a decent amount of food for the price. Definitely my go to takeaway when craving Chinese. The restaurant isnt the best looking or appealing and the staff can be quite hard to communicate with due to language barriers but it still doesn't stop me from going when craving Chinese food!
Food is amazing here. Customer service can be great at times but the food is to die for! Love their pork belly on rice honey glazed spare ribs ginger dishes and more!, when dining in your presented with a tea-pot with nice warm tea. Good on a winter's night. Robyn Atley
I've been coming here for years and it's still one of my favourite places to eat at. The roast duck is so soft and falls apart, same with the BBQ pork and the crispy roast pork. The sizzling black pepper beef is nice and rich and the combination meats fried noodles are super flavourful and packed with fresh tasting meat and veges. The chicken and sweet corn soup is delicious! Definitely worth a try if you're passing by.
This place definitely does not fall into the date night or first date category.
It's loud, bright and cramped.
The struggle to order via the menu is real.
We've managed, over the last 2 years of coming back for more, to order by checking out what the other tables order. There's also Google Translate now! Although good food from whatever part of the globe translates to y-u-m-m-y.
Haven't failed so far -it's like everything on the menu is a pleasant surprise and won't break the bank.
The best dining experience is to share meals.
Between the 4 of us (2 adults, a 13 yr old and an 8 yr old), we enjoy the Tofu Combination Hot Pot - it's got EVERYTHING!, The Deep-fried Pork with Chili and Garlic, Fried Rice Noodle with Beef, and 3 bowls of rice.
All that for under $50.
their bbq pork is substandard, the cut of meat is not very tender. the crispy pork isnt half bad and the duck is pretty good, but the main attraction here is their sweet and sour pork. you may say that sweet and sour pork is same everywhere, that would make you wrong. super wrong. the right sns pork requires a balance of a good cut of meat, crispy batter and not too thick with a sauce not too imbalanced by sweet and sour flavours. this place serves the best sns pork i have had in AKL so far. The rest of their dishes are also reasonable and very good. hapuka tail with pork and tofu, eggplant with salted fish all are very good. too bad they messed up the bbq pork though.
They have a wide variety of food available, however my family always goes for the Beijing duck with crepes, as this tastes amazing, best in Auckland in my opinion (large portion of duck with crispy skin). Like most Chinese restaurants, there is hardly any wait time for the food to arrive, you can be in & and out easily within 1/2 hour.The service is quite good now, have been quite a few times.
Authentic flavours, good portions, fresh dishes, well presented. Fair prices. Clean, good service with emphasis on the food. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and BYO! We will be back ( and tell friends ) as long as it stays as good as this in each of the above.

We have a "Noodle House Gang" that meet at the BBQ Noodle House most Friday nights, we love to have a catch up over fantastic food with very friendly service.
Best place for BBQ meat. I love their peking duck ($65 for 2 duck dishes) , so much flavour and the ladies working there are very friendly. Of course their approach might seem different if you are not used to dining in asian countries. Huge selection on the menu as well.

Ordering can be a bit of a challenge if you don't speak the language but they are generally quite friendly.
I wouldn't say there is much of an atmosphere, but if you just popping in for a lunch there's really not much more you can ask for.
Prices are very reasonable and portions are big so great value for money.
Impromptu dinner plans, led us to this place as recommended. The service was quick & friendly. The food served almost all at the same time, we enjoyed as there was no left overs. Would love to be back next time with the family.
We stumbled across this place by accident and we are so glad we did! The food is so good and the staff are very friendly! Service is great, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are large. Such a great meal! We had the chicken stir fried noodle and lemon chicken on rice. Both were exceptional. We will definitely be back to try the pekking duck. Everyone but us had duck on their table, so we clearly missed out. Can’t wait to come back and try more.
Incredible food here as always. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Though the premise looks dated but very very clean. We just love it here! We’ve been coming every week ever since the first visit. We always order way too much and take the rest home for lunch next day. Their portions are very generous too.

Food ranged from ok to really good (we had ordered around 10 dishes to share). Checkout my pics, the favourites in the order of best taste were (don't recall menu names) the large seafood balls with broccoli, the deep-fried tofu and the duck. The tea was good too. I'm loving the large tables with lazy susan that allow many family and friends to sit and enjoy each other's presence. Staff were helpful but the restaurant looked fairly small.
Really yummy duck, and it's also very good value as the dishes are large. We ordered the two course Peking duck (so nice & juicy & rich) and we couldn't finish it and we had to bring the rest home. The lady who served us is really helpful explaining everything and has a great sense of humour. All this was a real treat for us. Note there are two different dishes of duck, the one in the photo (yummy duck meat with a yummy sauce) and another one but I forgot to take a photo of it (which is duck on the bone with a different yummy sauce).

Great place for a meal. Good prices and large range. Not usually too busy and the food comes quick. The roast duck is so good here I keep coming back for more and more!
Me and my friend we have been having meals at here for so long since 2019, and they do really traditional Chinese/Cantonese food here. We’re studying at Massey so it’s like a uni canteen for us. Everything in here is good, recommended, they never have anything we don’t like so far🤪. And price is pretty reasonable, I reckon it remains the same price as before, appreciate it.

The best place for Peiking Duck north of Auckland. The portion size is generous, the 2nd duck dish (we usually get the bean sprouts) also has a ton of duck meat and the duck meat is crispy and fresh. Prices are very reasonable for the large portions, and the menu has many dishes to choose from. Customer service is also excellent, the owner is friendly and remembers your special requests. The waiting time for food to arrive is also very short. Would definitely recommend :)

Probably the best chinese takeaways on the shore. Very authentic, well priced and decent portions.
Only downside is it's so popular that it can take a while to get your food.
Did previously review with less stars as delivery had a bit of a down fall. Love the food & delivery is back to being very quick! Always our go to when getting takeaways ☺️
Yummy and fair priced foods. Staff has limited English but their menu and you pointing to the photos certainly speeds up the ordering process. Loo can do with an up-do. Try all their food or stick to your faves. We have been eating here since forever. Never disappointed.
