Came by as part of the restaurant month in Auckland. The main entrance is by the water on Wynyard Quarter, with tables that can look out into the sea. The restaurant itself wasn't too big.
Their menu has quite a selection of different foods. We were surprised at the options even with the special limited menu. We grabbed a few different entrees to share and mains. Nice karaage chicken, crispy and juicy. The other items also weren't bad.
I had the mixed grill for the main and it had quite a nice range of different grilled meats and prawn. I think it would have made a nicer meal with a bowl of rice instead of just salad. The meats were grilled nicely and quite tasty.
Friendly service and it was quite cosy particularly since we were the only ones there.
excellent food and lovely staff. The restaurant has a really good view. Perfect to have a drink or meal with couple of friends. Definitely will come back again!
Small cosy place with sea views.Service was excellant. Food was good too, we loved the chicken katsu benti box and the spicey edemame. Rice is not sticky rice , so a bit hard to use chop sticks. But everything tasted great. Chicken katsu was soft and flavoursome, one of the best I've tried to date.!
Good food with reasonable price
The setting is lovely - facing the sea
You can set inside in case the weather is cold or windy
I went there with my wife and we love the place and the food. One thing here to tell you, the plate really for one person 😅. I love the salad 🥗 with the dishes.
The staff are professional and friendly
The 👨🍳 came to us and asked if we like the food and if we have any comments.
I recommend the restaurant. 🤩
We went to this place with my parents for their anniversary and we were very impressed by the service. The staff were friendly and welcoming, joked with us, really made us feel at home. The ambiance is great, it's sea-facing so a great view! We had Takoyaki balls as an entrée, mains was the seafood noodle, grill prawns, lamb cutlets and grill meats which had beef, chicken and squid. All the dishes were delicious!! I highly recommended the grill prawns and grill chicken. They were cooked to perfection 👌

Awesome food and staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a recommended restaurant. Love the sea-facing great atmosphere too! Highly recommended the grill prawns :)
First time here. Good food, great value and good service. I enjoyed our time here and would come here again and will get the food out of the boxes next time.
Service was pretty poor considering we were the only ones in the place. Speaking of which we were the only ones in the place on a friday when I expected it to be vibing.
Food was tasty (we had sushi, lamb and other sea food), but sadly too small, well presented though.
Not badly priced either for the location
Also love the view
Had the eel bento and sashimi bento. It came with miso soup which was nice. The rice was a bit dry but overall yummy. They had happy hour so our beers were only $6. Service was great and its a calmer place than the other restaurants. Would definitely go back.
Good sushi. Friendly staff. It was quite noisy when we had lunch there. Music from the restaurant, from the neighbors and a busker out front! However, when we asked the waiter to turn off their music, she agreed and did so promptly.
Only other negative was that the food took quite a while to come, considering we were the only people ordering food at the time.
A new spot on the block, a little hard to find but when my friend and I ordered the sushi was so fresh and affordable; might even go as far as to say one of my favourite places to get sushi on a night out. We also got a steak and again I was blown away my the flavour and tenderness. Definitely not a place to miss out on! The seating was a little crammed compared to the surrounding venues but that doesn't take away from the service they provided.
We had a lovely meal with a nice drink in a beautiful environment at a very reasonable price. The service was excellent and friendly, you feel as if you are personally invited to this place. Keep up the good work.
very good service and good food
will come back
We've been there a few times and really like the service, food and the fact that is a smaller restaurant, so it's more quiet. Was a bit disappointed yesterday as the appetisers didn't come with a bit of salad. They usually do and go perfect with the peppery calamari or salty takoyaki. I'd like to suggest management to make the seafood platters during the day (currently only available for dinner) as well as include a bit of greens/salad with the appetisers. I would've ordered and paid for salad, but all the salads in the menu included something else. It's small things like that that make customers come back.
Servings were a bit small(definitely not enough to share with my husband, which is a good thing😂) however food was flavorful
and delicious! Friendly staff.
