I have not tried other items on their menu but their fried rice, eggplant dish and dumplings were so scrumptious however the noodles were lacking the flavour the rice had... pretty good Chinese Halal food

Great value and tasty food! They also have delivery service which is very convenient! Brought my boyfriend here ( he is not Chinese) and he loves it. Not only the decorative posters are funny but the environment is up-to-standard clean. Will def come back again
Must say, i had a different perspective of authentic Chinese food. Spicy Beef noodle is real deal. Will post as i devour more delicacies here.
Only ever had takeaways from here but love love love it!! The beef and onion dumplings are amazing, and the chicken and prawns dish with loads of chillies and peanuts and my favourite takeaway dish. The chicken is cooked just perfect, crispy outside and a little salty, a little sweet and a bit peppery.
Only reason they don't get a 5 is cos it's a long wait for the dish, even after placing a phone order. Hope they get this sorted soon!

Very excited to see an authentic Beijing snack bar open here featuring the well-loved Chinese BBQ Kebab, reminding me very vividly of my experience in Beijing. The owner is particularly nice. Wish to see more Beijing local snacks brought up on the menu.

The perfect place if you are a Sinophile hankering after some authentic communistic Beijing fare. Highlights on the menu include ligaments, jellyfish, fungus, tripe and gizzards. For an unqualified amateur diner like myself, it was overwhelming to say the least and in the end I had to throw in my cards and get the prawn fried rice. It was a large pile, enough to satisfy any hungry tank driver after a day driving around Tiananmen Square.... It is also one of the few restaurants where you need to go to a cutlery fridge to collect your own utensils. The propaganda plastered on the walls also added an authentic and unique charm!
I went to this restaurant last week and liked it so much I felt compelled to write my first review. I walk past here every day on my way to work and live very close. There has been a very poor selection of good asian eateries on K Road and I now finally have a decent place to go to close to home. The flavours were amazing and based on my first experience a can't recommend this restaurant enough.
I have given the place a 5 because of the great top notch service, incredible asian flavours and the very modest price. That's a combination seldom found. They had more traditional rectangular tables than the round ones shown in these pictures, I guess they've upgraded them. Awesome northern chinese food. Recommended.

Beijing Lu have recently opened on K'road in place of a previous chinese restaurant. The last one didn't look appealing so we never visited, but decided to try them out after looking for somewhere new to eat close by.
They currently have a trial menu and are still tweaking and testing what works, but the trial menu is still quite extensive.
We tried the king prawns and chicken wings to share (fairly large portion), and probably a bad dish choice on my part as it came out szechuan style with lots of dried chillies. It was nice but got a bit overwhelming towards the end. As with most chinese places coming with a group is a benefit as you can order a few dishes.
The other dishes coming out looked very good, big bowls of steaming noodles and a range of bbq skewers.
They've done the interior up and it feels a lot more bright and open and more like your 'typical' chinese restaurant. Service was great (surprising). Will be back to try something else, they seem like they have potential. Worth a try.

Food was good, and atmosphere is nice. Staff is friendly and recommended dishes for us. Very spacious and clean. Interior design has very interesting posters.
Lovely Chinese food. I tried it for the first time. Still relishing the spices. Highly recommended.
