Everything Auckland needs, wants and desires. I love this bar more than I love myself. Thank you to the incredible staff, bouncers and the incredible vibes that this place delivers consistently. Neck fam for life.
Friendly staff, great space and an excellent variety of gigs and performers.
Consistently awesome Drum n Bass, Bass Music and Hip Hop artists coming over from around the world, great sound and great staff!
I love neck of the woods. Beautiful place to be and good music. Luv it. This place made me Jammin
I've fallen in love with the place. The staff, the art, the vibe and the rig! Ouhweee A++
Solid place to get a drink, bartenders are super friendly and the movable walls are genius
Great Venue, Good Gigs, excellent security, Easily my top venue in auckland

Love the service and ambience as it's always fresh with the different DJs so it has a bit of everything to have a fantastic night out. Big ups to Hudge for running a tight ship.
Huge shout out to these guys! Thanks for looking out for people!
Awesome venue with great, friendly staff. Security was tight, and manager was onto it.
Josh.. Love what you have done with Neck since a last curtailed* visit in 2014..*(Firealarm!)
A newly discovered precious gem nestled unobtrusively just beneath the surface, but far enough away from the rest of the often heaving K Road night life community, to be 'a real find'.. ....
A unique haven for many types of entertainment which has probably been long overdue this end of town, and will be well worth both the economic and creative investment, when it becomes the magnet it should be..
This was my second foray into this work in progress. Or this that a progressive work of a venue?
Doesn't matter.. It worked like a spell.
So well I wasn't even sure I wish to share her too widely myself yet.. haha..
However..
Creatively conscious places and people of all genres ( to my mind, as I am one), will attract conscious creatives of all genres by word of mouth, and before we know it we are home from home from home..
My loyalties for the past decade and a half have always mostly lain up the road. I even have my own hook, but like Eve, temptations are always delicious excuses to nonchalantly wander from our comfort zones ;-).
This second time, to a warmer almost edgily decadent, but for me last night utterly disarming alternative neck of the woods.
Replete with a wall of magic trees and a living wall, fauna, wood, concrete and steel.
It all blended so beautifully..
Finally..
The smiling welcoming door hosts Stacey and Nate? and all your bar hosts, including your energetic (but not overly so) glass collector, do you great credit ..
Delightful seeing them move to the music as well..
Felt like we were all 'related'..
I'll be back and I'll be bringing others with me.. Jax~
;-)
Best club nights in Auckland time after time, lovely welcoming vibe
Wicked awesome place had the best night at LOADSTAR lastnight and mint service. Lastnight was LOOSE!!
Neck Of The Woods is Aucklands home of real music, supporting varying genres and live artists. Nuff said.
Good shows but way too loud. Went to Lahaar with earplugs and ears mega ringing. Also bass was distorted in venue. Walked all around and couldn't find a single sweet spot.
Had a couple of awesome nights at this venue. Amazing sound ( probably the best in AKL), friendly staff and safe environment. Plus love the location - many cool eateries are around this venue so I just fill up my belly and walk to here to dance π

This is a good venue for bands to play in the Auckland CBD.
After years of attending shows here, both as a punter and as an artist performing, I can happily say I have NEVER had a bad night at Neck of the Woods. Always a great atmosphere and all of the staff are consistently accommodating and kind! Thank you Neck of the Woods!!! You guys rule ππ
Great venue! Great staff-members! Great atmosphere!:)))
Ignore the recent bad reviews there's a group of people bad review bombing multiple venues around Auckland to try and tarnish their reputation.
Neck of The Woods is a spectacular venue on K'road. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and the place is an absolute vibe. Go check it out for yourself and I guarantee you'll still be on the dancefloor at 4:00am when the lights turn on
Great venue for intimate gigs. Would be even better if they opened up the back space.
One of the very best music venues in Auckland with consistently high quality events hosted there. When they have the Ghost sound system installed it's second to none in New Zealand imo.
Stage was small, thatβs the only down side. They got a new ghost sound system which was alright. Bartenders were cool and very hard working !! I would tip them if I had cash on me. Overall, a good techno club.
Fantastic live music destination. Great hipster vibes all round and the acts they have are usually pretty good! Their beer selection last I went consisted of cans of various Garage Project flavours and some Carlsbergs. Would recommend this place if you're ever looking to boogie!
Jan was an excellent bar tender. Excellent customer service π
K road gem - safe and inclusive environment for all regardless of ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. There are some one star reviews here due to their decision to uphold vaccine mandates while the coronavirus pandemic is still active in the community . The venue expected some negative feedback but it was more important to them to not discriminate against immuno-compromised people by having a safe and reasonable health and safety protocol during a pandemic . Kudos to you Neck of The Woods .
Cool "underground" venue. Came here to see a great DnB DJ, which I enjoyed very much. The drink prices are reasonable, typical club prices. There is a lot of room. There is NO COAT CHECK, which was annoying, but at least no one stole my coat. Nice staff.
Great venue always has some top class DJs playing at least my kinda beats π
My only gripe on NOTW is lack of decent alcohol selection and the sound system is just lacking some serious grunt. I mean it's good. But my car is better.
Passed by exploring Auckland CBD, great music(electronica), awesome lights and effects. $30 means the rough element stays out. Friendly staff, one of the hidden gems of Auckland. Definitely going back!
