Great spot to dine pre movie. Delicious food, generous portions and the dumplings are a highlight. Nice outlook. Less busy than restaurants at street level.
I came here today for lunch, the place was empty but despite this we decided to give it a go and we were pleasantly surprised! I think this restaurant may be the first/only Asian fusion place in mission bay.
We took a seat right by the window overlooking the beach. Service could have been better. The waitress topped our water up regularly, however we waited a while to get our orders taken and our plates were never cleared after we finished eating.
We ordered the chicken wings and Thai beef salad to share. The chicken wings were great! Marinated in honey soy and topped with cashews. The chicken was quite crispy on the outside and still tender. The Thai beef salad was very flavourful and the beef was cooked to perfection, so soft! However it wasn't really a 'salad' there was so much meat and barely any leafy greens or vegetables in it which was a bit disappointing.
Hopefully their service improves! I would definately come back to try more on the menu.
Decided to dine here after noticing that this is a new establishment along Mission Bay!
After loving Ruan Thai after many years, I was curious to see if this packs up to my love for Ruan Thai.
Beautifully decorated interior, I love the flamingo couches and fruit cushions! Love the wooden vibe ~ the staff are still as friendly and advised of the revamp to Ruan Thai to now Tiger Lily. The menu has changed, and we picked udon fish boat ragu, braised duck, shrimp Indonesian mee goreng.
Now within the menu, the udon fish boat ragu. . There is enoki mushrooms however when we got the dish, as lovely as it was. . There is no enoki mushroom, I even asked the waiter and he advised hidden underneath the udon. . Still nothing so I was disappointed. Lovely broth and an abundance of seafood ranging from crab, fish etc and udon. Great dish but wished there was enoki mushrooms in it. .
The braised duck was good. Similar to the effect of the Chinese dish Peking duck, where you wrap the meat in a pancake and eat it. Lovely flavours and generous servings. Lastly we ordered the shrimp Indonesian mee goreng, in all honesty, it was the dud of the night, the shrimp was well cooked and but the flavours just did not go together well. It did not resemble mee goreng for me, and was very tomatoey so felt more like a pasta.
Overall, I won't be in a rush to come back, but I would still consider this a place to hit up along Mission bay ~
Loving the new look the place really needed a good makeover, The service is great, and food is lovely, however the menu is small and there isnt much variety.
Late dining for us after a late night show, therefore we were very surprised we got a table after we checked other places in mission bay only to be turned away because they were in the process of closing the kitchen.
Service was very friendly, food and drinks arrived in no time.
I had the duck salad which was a little too citrus for me but my wife's chicken dish the dumplings and the calamari was amazing, mixed with a couple of generous glasses of beer. What almost turned out to be a quick stop into McDonald's eventuated into an intimate night with good service and food.
Had a very nice meal, with lovely views, very good service, loved the decor, good space between tables, a perfect location for romantic dining and to chat with friends undisturbed.
What an amazing place decor I wicked staff at just amazing helpfull polite and fast . The food is to die for probably the best little hidden gem in mission bay . Oh and the food is so so so good.
Really good quality food at a good price. Nice views onto the street and beach.
