Had the Fotiaoqiang-the steamed abalone with shark’s fun and fish maw in broth, marinated chicken feet, cold fish skin, braised beef offal and clay pot rice. Highly recommend the braised beef offal and clay pot rice, super delicious. The only downside of this place was a bit pricey.

Perfect for winter days, hot soup and hotpot~ There are 4 choices of hotpot base to chose from, we had the Chicken&Pork tripe soup as base. A lot meaty than I thought, and very flavourful. You don't need to order too much extra if there isn't many of you. Portion size was decent too. Make sure you drink the siup before placing other ingradients, it will change the flavour...
I frequent this place, amazing soup base (claimed to be msg free) lots of choices. Free parking at the Wilson's. Highly recommended.
This was very confusing. Having been here before a couple of times, the menu format has totally changed to a hotpot style which is great. If you can read Chinese you’re in luck. If you don’t, not so much. The main menu is in Chinese. The English version had to be asked for and was a laminated white paper with text on it. No images like the main menu. The food was actually very good. Soup tasty and the ingredients of great quality.
A nice Cantonese restaurant located on Hobson Street, excellent for hotpot. Clean environment and attentive staff.
Some of their cold dishes were exceptional. The fish skin was fresh and nicely flavored. The beef offal is very tender too. Fresh hotpot ingredients. Their soup base is flavorful as well.

This restaurant offers a variety of Chinese/Canton dishes. We ordered a steamed fish which was fresh and delicious. Everything else was also up to standard and full of flavour. The staff here are attentive and provide good service.
Great location for dinner and catching up with friends. I’ve been here for several times, have to say this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Auckland CBD. Delicious authentic Chinese food with friendly service. Most of all, it is well worth the price. Highly recommended!
My new favourite spot.. so far what I’ve had here has been frikkkkken yum!! Stink only one payment though, like what if we wanna go halves on a big family or something... Thanks lol.. but still cool.
The yum char service has got better each time, very clean and tasty food. Easy ordering, mark the sheet so cooked to order. The service is fine, help yourself to the sauces, very convenient dining.
Friendly service, fresh & wholesome food full of flavor. I felt as though I had a nutritious, well cooked meal at a reasonable price. Highly recommended for casual dining.
Amazing service , love the food here! I reckon they serve up the best canton cuisine. Can’t wait to try out their yumcha lunch menu! Don’t understand why there’s a low rating, I’ve been coming here frequently and they never let us down.
An absolute delight. The hot pot here is amazing. FYI it has spicy/ nonspicy options. Don't have to worry about being too hot.

My daughter ordered the trio of pork, expecting something a 5th of the size, great roast pork but order it for a table as it needs to be eaten quickly.
Recommend you order two entries for 4 people and order one main at a time, it comes super fast.
The service is a bit "short" but that is more authentic Chinese service , after the meal the hostess was very happy to chat.
We nearly didn't go in, but very happy we did.

Wow. I loved every mouthful. Really authentic food. The dishes have not been tailored to Europeans, so you get the dish how it is supposed to taste.
We walked past a few times and assumed they didn't cater to non-Asians. We were very much the minority, but the hosts made is feel super welcome. Even offered us forks (hahaha). I would definitely return here if we lived in Auckland.

10/10. Authentic. Hardly speak any good English. Hardly any Europeans eating here. Friendly. Attentive. You can order “off” menu no problem. Best Chinese food in auckland CBD hands down I think. A bit pricey. Don’t expect it to be cheap and cheerful. But also not as expensive as water front restaurants.
Hidden gem forget McDonald's at the end of the night don't let the name top seafood fool you. They do good Chinese food. Open late until 1.30-3:00am depending on day. Ordered 4 dishes all on, very surprised as always ducked the place
