This place has a secret of serving tasty cuisine been there many times. Yesterday was there with friends we had burgers pizzas and I had the combination kebab and it was yummy the bread itself was fresh and a bit crisp also the salad was crunchy and meet cooked to perfection we also liked their kumara fries. Also staff was very polite and did assist us also in clicking some photos. Highly recommended 👌😊

I can see there's a lot of negative reviews about this place but to be honest in all the years that I've been going here I've never had a bad experience.
Except the one time, where the toilet was filthy and needed to be cleaned!

Best Hangover food after Heavy Drinking.
This amazing place is open 24 hours which means u can munch on pizzas after drinking at 4am.
My favourite flavour is the ham and chilli one ! Topped with spicy sauce its the best of the best!

We went there for dinner around 2am. Ordered lamb shank, it was quite the size wasn’t expecting. But, It was delicious and staffs are super friendly. Would recommend.
Servings are pretty good. Beef with rice fills me up all the time! The yoghurt on top is so good. Tried the margarita pizza which was really good as well but the oil though.
The pizzas here are quite good. I love the cheese they use. The ambience is quite average but they are open late. Approx cost for two with just food no drinks will be $30.
Had a classic burger here for $9.90. The service was quick for a busy weekend night. The burger was big like the size of a dinner plate but the meet pattie was super super thin. However, made up by ample sauces, cheese and fresh salad.
Food was good. Staffs was friendly. I love coming here. The prices fit with the qualities. I will come back and try more in my lunch time. X
The one best thing about this place is its 24/7. It's open all the time so it's makes it easier to get some quick bite during the late night hours. I have visited chargrill on everytime only after midnight.
Tried almost everything in the menu from the woodfried Pizzas, burgers and salads and each of the dishes are just delicious. The pizzas are definitely a go for If you are going here for the first time. The burgers however are massive in size but really not that filling.

This place is my 1st pick in town. The place is Opened 24/7, Wood fired pizzas and big ham burgers are recommended. Also try the best seesh kebabs and lamb shanks if u r fan of middle east food.
The food and drinks are indeed really cheap and the portions are big. Food quality is decent. There are like 4 tables outside for smoking also. Nice place!

The vege burger is really nice if you're a vegetarian I highly recommend it. The pizzas are nice too but are a bit small for the price.
My all time fave is their Lucia pizza, and their spicy sauce (not the sweet chilli sauce, or the flakey spicy stuff, but the thick red spicy sauce they keep in red bottles). Pizza comes out reasonably quick.

Been to this place for the first time on good Friday. Staff is really good and helpful. Ordered vege burger and pizza with hookha. Good food and value for money. Definitely a go to place. They are open 24 hours so good for the party goers.
The go to for late night cravings. Assorted menu from brunches, middle eastern, European and desserts too. They do good wood fired pizzas. And would def recommend the kebab rice dishes.
I was passing this place many times and finally had a time to have some lunch here. Inside it looks pretty average with wooden tables and chairs, just in my opinion they could make it look more tidy as on some place you can notice a leftover pieces of food. Also the thing I didn't like was that birds were flying in the cafe... that makes me think of hygiene.
Anyway they have some good points as well. I got Blue Cheese burger for 11.90 and it's very fair price because I got huge burger all over whole plate (that was the biggest one I have ever seen, probably can't be seen on the photo). Anyway the taste of it was nice and beef was cooked well. But just was quite too salty in some parts.
Overall I think it's kind of good place to go which would be open 24/7 plus they also serve Shisha and have a bar.

If you like some good burgers and kebabs, this is the place to be.The kebabs are chunky and nice, the quality of the taste has remained the same over time.
I went there at noon. But I've been advised to go there at night. Because the main chef who cooks with love shows up at night. But still, I really liked the food. I had Persian kebabs. Really nice and tasty. A bit greasy though. The lavish use of saffron on rice was impressive. Sides were also nice and went well with the food. However I wish the yoghurt was served in a bigger bowl. I will go there again.
Best burgers and chips. Also pizza, the last time I was there in March earlier this year for a birthday. And the staff provide the greatest service ever.

Stopped by for dinner and ordered a steak burger, wedges, a small bottle of coke and my friend had a small bottle of spirulina. I was surprised at the charge of $28.00 for just those items and realised the drinks represented a third of the cost which i thought was a bit expensive. Their steak burger though thin, was big on flavour with the relish, aioli, fresh lettuce, tomato and onions. It was a good meal and really filling, so much so i struggled to finish it. If I knew their burgers were that big I would have ordered something smaller for sure as I was so stuffed I felt I could waddle all the way home. Their wedges were nice too..piping hot and tasty. Will definitely order food from here again but will make sure to takeaway so I can get my drinks elsewhere.
I like the place as we visit here often for late night eats and coffee. It also serves Shisha. I have seen awesome food and I liked the salads and wood fired pizza we ordered. I have heard the burgers are really yummy too but looks really big for my portion size but should give it a try next time. Outdoor seating available thats the best.

Chargrill is usually my go-to late night eatery. After all, it's open 24/7.
They have a large selection of dishes from chicken salads to pizzas and burgers. They also have some more ethnic middle Eastern dishes such as kebabs and koobideh. All of these are reasonably priced at around $10-15 and are quite delicious.
The place is clean and the staff are quite nice, even when dealing with multiple drunk people in the early hours of the morning.
Was surprised at how tasty my chargrill chicken salad was :-) Lots of sauce, some avo, some hummus, it all blended together for one fine lunch for this amateur diner. The venue itself has zero street appeal, and could be misconstrued as tacky by the uninitiated, but inside it has a pleasant relaxing feel to it, and if you are after something fast and delicious (and healthy if you get the salad), then you will be looked after well.
Good quick service, asked the girl for ketchup..then..chilli sauce..then some more tissues..then water....and every time she served me with a smile...food was good..chips are well done as well

Really great kebabs and burgers at a decent price. Serving size of the burgers is generous and the meat used is of a much higher quality than regular kebab shops.
The pizzas are good as well and all benefit from the unique chargrill flavour.
One of the best takeouts in Auckland, especially as its 24/7.

Best place for midnight cravings! Chargrill never fails me. The chicken kebabs and chicken on rice are delicious and always consistent. Not much of their pizza fan though as it can sometimes be abit oily. The place is always clean and the service is always friendly. Drinks can be expensive for a takeaway though but that doesn't bother me.
Mega Burgers and great Kebabs. Best part is they are open 24 hours and hence if you are craving for some good food late night this place will suit.
Been here heaps of times with my family and we just love it. Sitting outside eating beautiful authentic pizzas watching the busy city rush by. Also the staff are very friendly and are always welcoming with big smiles and are making sure we are parked so we can enjoy our time eating and bot having to rush off. Thumbs up!

I've come here a few times for breakfast and lunch food is always pretty good.
I must say that their big breakfast is one of the best if not the best in Auckland. I give the big breakfast a 5/5. The variety, size, quality and price of the meal is excellent.
Been to lunch a couple of times. Once I have a burger and fires. The burgers are large. Well at least the bun is, the beef patties are large in diameter but thin. To be honest apart from the size they are average. I have also tried their chicken or lamb and rice dishes which are nice.
It can look a bit dirty but they are open 24/7. Excellent for a late night feed or an early morning breakfast
Been here almost 5 years, happy with your pizza, they are just wonderful. I remember the old day always been there after 2am. The food is good, pizza i could say best of the best in town, the manager is always smile well, i like you much sir. Never disappointed with your food but maybe the old style Pizza back to 3 years much much better. Would recommend any one who keen to try your best pizza.

Yummiest kebab place in town :D Although I'm biased (owner's daughter), I disagree with a lot of the negative comments on here. The owner of Chargrill has been in NZ for longer than 20 years, he is not an illegal immigrant. Also there was a problem with the coupon company, they printed too many and made a lot of mistakes. The new branch on Customs Street looks very nice and is much bigger.

The food is delicious, and the staff very friendly. Contrary to what another reviewer said, the girl at the counter is always very friendly and somehow manages to take all the orders as well as delivering the food and clearing the tables.

I've seen all of the bad reviews and I honestly have to disagree with all of them!! I <3 Chargrill. Their Lucia pizzas are to die for, and their service is outstanding. :) Very friendly staff who really take the time to go above and beyond... Been there so many times and have never had any complaints whatsoever.
The Wednesday night shift staff are almost like brothers to me :) Would highly recommend to everyone.
pretty good. have eaten there several times. fries are a must order. burgers are colossal and well spiced, but don't really like the bun. too dry. kebabs are fresh and well made, but a bit bland in taste. based on others' raves about the kebabs I've tried them 3 times, but they just don't have much flavour compared to the restaurant's other offerings.

easily the best kebab or burger place I have been to in New Zealand. The burgers are just perfect every single time and the kebabs are superb, the venue is in a good location and is always tidy the music is a little loud at time but the food is SO GOOD that it makes no difference. another person mentioned how their chips were perfect every time, I 100% agree with that statement, when we go there we will always order chips even if we don't feel like them. plus the staff are some of the most friendly in the industry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We generally go there for lunch once a week and I dont see that changing anytime in the near future.
Chargrill is awesome, Fabulous fresh food, the Kebabs are great and not like some other kebab shops the meatis genuine meat and great staff. 10/10.

I had a vegetarian pizza which was made in the wood fired oven. Very tasty. It had raised sides which stopped the abundant toppings from sliding off.
My mate had the beef, bacon, avocado burger, so big he couldn't finish it.
It's a dine in or take away place with plenty of tables so getting a place to eat shouldn't be a problem.

Takeaway a classic burger ($13.5) which is yummy. This restaurant offers a generous portion of burger.
Open till late which is perfect. Ordered a wood fired pizza, the mega meat lovers and it was delicious. The base was thin and cooked to perfection and the flavours on the pizza was splendid.
If you don’t mind the ambience and loud reggae music or even sometimes staff taking their own sweet time to take your order - For just takeaways food is mean for portion size and delicious 😋

Good. If you want real skewer kebabs (not the Turkish To Go wrap things that are called kebabs in NZ) this is a good place for the skewers. It has changed hands recently, so the original folks are not running the show anymore.
Had the Seafood Basket and Fish & Chips. So tasty and generous portion. Loved it, and would definitely go there again to try out some of the other items on the menu. And the chef (maybe Maori)...too good, so efficient and great music too!!
I stayed at a hotel nearby an nearly every night I have come here for dinner for kebabs. Prices are fair but the food is great. Don't take uber eats reviews for granted when it's always better to walk in to eat and have it fresh.
