Amazing staff and nice atmosphere. Our first two starters were out of this world amazing, sourdoughs and buratta. I wish it Never ended, I will definitely order these two again! Then ordered the flounder which was cooked to perfection, so buttery and tender. The gnocchi was also very good!
Excellent service! Chicken liver parfait was amazing. Schnitzel was good and adding romesco was something different.
Delicious food and cozy atmosphere. We started with burrata and fish crudo with some bread. Had flounder as the main. Brussels sprouts were gorgeous, and would recommend crème brûlée and chocolate ganache to finish the meal 👌 We loved it!!!
Lively atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. Our waitress/owner? had a strong French accent and we didn’t quite get all the menu explanations, but no problem! It just added to the Parisian vibe! We shared a magic Creme brûlée to finish off a happy night!
Bar Celeste is my go to when I’m not sure where to eat. Always great good, service and atmosphere. Gnocchi were pillowy and super tasty, oysters were juicy, bread and olive butter pure perfection and burrata never can go wrong. See you again soon!
Top contenders for best date night dinner spot! The food was delicious and I love its cozy atmosphere. You must go!
Great ambiance and food! Very busy for a reason - highly recommend booking ahead of time
We had a lovely meal here. The food is excellent, the drinks list ditto. Service was also great. The space was very cool. Thanks Celeste
Another great place on K Road. Attentive service, delicious food in a stylish set up. We went for the carte blanche menu and we were overwhelmed by the generous servings. The gnocchi and ceviche were outstanding. Loved the wine selection too.
Loved the food, loved the service, cute little restaurant. My fav were the Brussels and the market fish
One of my favourite spots in Auckland. Highly recommend Bar Céleste, especially if you're looking for an intimate setting with shared plates. We always get the full Carte Blanche menu, which changes seasonally, so that we can try a bit of everything + can't beat chef's selection. Staff are always friendly and informative, always bang on with food and drink reccomendations, which I am always thankful for anywhere I go because I never know what to order :)
A very nice place with a vibrant decor and atmosphere. The menu is very limited but the two dishes we had were delicious (schnitzel and 🐔 ❤️ 💙).
The service was sub-optimal though. We ordered some things as part of the happy hour but they included the full price in the check. When we asked about it, they just added as if asking us to pay twice. Was a bit awkward 😬
We had a great time at Bar Celeste. The food is excellent, well thought out and tastefully prepared.
The service was also perfect and we didn't regret following the waiter's advice.
On top of that, the place is really cosy and has a great atmosphere.
I'd recommend it for any occasion!
Awesome and friendly staff. We went during happy hour and had delicious oysters, a splendid burrata to accompany our drinks. Great evening spot, especially outside under the heaters.
Delicious food and great attentive service - could have had the music down slightly but otherwise a great atmosphere. Look forward to my next evening at Bar Celeste.
We stopped by for dinner on a Thursday without a booking and was able to get the window table. They were full so there were a few people who were turned away during the night.
The place is known as a wine bar but I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of food that they had. We tried the carte blanche, where they serve you a series of dishes and they even asked if there was anything on the menu which we would like to try. I opted for the octopus. The difference between the two prices was two extra courses, oysters and dessert.
The dishes came out at a nice pace, we didn't run out of table space. We started with the bread with black garlic butter and the kingfish crudo. Both were delicious and the black garlic butter was very moreish. This was followed by the peppers with feta which was ok and had a little bit of heat. The duck liver parfait was also really tasty. The fig gave it a nice texture along with the bread. The charcuterie was ok but wasn't anything special. The sprouts were Brussel sprouts and that was really delicious. I like the charred flavour of the sprouts and the crunch of the crumb. The octopus was cooked so well. The different areas of the tentacle had varying ranges of doneness, so there were textural differences between the crunchy tip and the really soft body. It had a nice flavour by itself but the chorizo gave it a nice savoury flavour.
The food was quite delicious and worth trying. The carte blanche was slightly more expensive than just ordering the items off the menu individually. It might be a better option to just pick and mix what looks interesting. It was good that we tried things we probably wouldn't have but most of the selection on the menu looked good.
