A lovely, warm space, kind and feiendly service and great authentic food, some of it conpletwly new for me.
We had 3 vegetarian dishes - gulai nangka(curry with tofu and jackfruit), mie goreng(egg noodels with vegetables) and tempeh bandung(sauteed tempeh with green beans), and loved them! It was our first time trying tempeh and jackfruit and it was a great experience.

The ayam Penyet and salted caramel brownie were both delicious. The ayam Penyet especially was bigger than what I thought, and the staff owner was very helpful.
Celebrate my wige birthday and the restaurant is really amazing. The portion is very generous, not too spicy for Ayam Penyet. Missing the tofu and tempe though, but the chicken is plentiful. I enjoyed the atmosphere
Java & Bali ‘mom’s kitchen’ inspired Indo-Thai food (yes - it’s as delicious as it sounds). The light, bright Bandung Slaw was perfect for a 26℃ day in sunny Auckland. I had it with poached chicken which MELTED beautifully in the mouth leaving pangs of sesame/ginger. If you don’t like fruit in your salad (your wrong, it’s amazing and…) what I had won’t be your thing but there are many Thai-style wok stirfry, noodle dishes, satay or puff fried starters and tempting curries I will most definitely be back for. I loved it. The wait person was really kind and patient with me - the outdoor area is a shady sanctuary and they serve bangin’ frozen margaritas 💕
This is a bit of a fun find! You must go all the way through the cafe, past the kitchen to the tropical oasis out the back! The squid was ok (slightly overcooked) & the cocktails my friend had looked delightful! A lovely looking menu that I’m definitely tempted to go back for!
I'm sorry I didn't try Bandung sooner it's an absolute treat, and such a lovely addition to an otherwise pretty tired stretch of Parnell Road. We just wanted a light lunch so ordered some entrees to share, with house sodas. Everything was lovely, fresh, house-made and beautifully presented. The service was lovely and they've done a great makeover on the premises (formerly the Strawberry Alarm clock café). We will definitely be back.
Beautiful authentic Indonesian food with fresh ingredients, Nasi Goreng is always a classic and Bandung delivers great taste and quality. Have tried other items on the menu which are just as tasty and worth trying. I am working my way through the menu 😋. The Dutch fries are really moreish and a reliable sides. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and they even have a courtyard area which is great for sunny and warm days. Highly recommended! Also Esmerelda, Cleo, Julie & Clarissa and whole team are so friendly, welcoming and genuine, making this my favourite local spot in Parnell.
Delicious non alcoholic cocktails for $9. This is a lychee spritz which was lovely, not too sweet. The alcoholic version was only $8 more. Squid rings were a yummy snack
Beautiful little gem hidden on the main strip of Parnell, a must try. Our table set up was beautiful. The ambience is amazing. Our meals was delicious, we will definitely be coming back. *excellent customer service..100%
We loved the dinner experience! Highly recommending! Nice food and cozy environment. Warm soup, candle light and nice music. Perfect winter dining out.
Standing outside the shop, you can smell the aroma of the fried vegetables. Ordered a fried rice, it was delicious and fragrant. Very fond of handwritten takeaway paper bags
This restaurant saved our bacon in Parnell! We had very little luck finding gluten free food options suitable for Coeliacs - several other places claimed to be Coeliac friendly but really weren't- but we ate at Bandung three times during our stay because they went to great effort to make our food both safe and delicious. Can't speak highly enough!
Excellent customer service. Delicious food. Lovely ambiance.
We had the Clevedon natural oysters, the grilled spiced lamb ribs, ayam bumbu Bali, Bebeke ala Betutu, Black rice, coconut & palm sugar, pisang goreng and the martabak.
Oysters were fresh and the dipping sauce was amazing, we absolutely loved every single dish we had and the sunrise daiquiri was yum too.
Can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes.
Try their soup especially on this chilly weather! I have been here 2x and i’m glad i live closeby.
Their coconut beef soup (Soto Betawi, and their Vermicelli noodles chicken coconut soup (Mee Hon Kari Ayam) and their spring rolls satisfied my cravings! Their small portion soup satisfying enough!
Cant wait to try Nasi Goreng and Mi Goreng!
Great and friendly service too!
Great Uber eats meal Fr. The portion is exceptional for an Uber eats delivery, as usually restaurants tend to cut down portions. Great beef meatball soup no cap.
Went there for my niece, and our friend's double birthday lunch. Had a lovely spread (pic), love the place (especially the courtyard, even in a downpour + hail). We really appreciated the hospitality too. Terima kasih.
I have come and eaten here multiple times for dinner. The food is exceptional, always with great portion size, flavour and very well priced. Great for sharing different meals with groups of people.
What also stood out to me was the service we experienced. The manager is always cheery and welcoming, and the young, good looking, tall waiter with black hair (Louis?) worked very hard to ensure my friend and I had an enjoyable dining experience.
I will be coming back, and would definitely recommend anyone looking to try a new place out in the parnell area.
One of the best curries I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the lamb curry. Excellent service and atmosphere
