Pretty good place, very cute place for a couple or date. We came in a big group and it catered very well! We had the set menu which was a OK amount for the price, dishes were full of flavour however relatively smaller than what we would have liked. The drinks are the best here!

The best way to say goodbye to our New Zealand trip! The dinner at Ada was an incredible experience, the place was very cool, the stuff super friendly and try the best maori-fusion food! We sat in the counter and we even had the chance to speak with chef and ask for his recommendations directly! Definitely this was the best way we could end our trip and we only wish we can come back some day! We’ll definitely recommend this place to all our friends visiting NZ!

Managed to skip the reservation and crash this eclectic offering. Wonderful old church, a little spooky which adds to the appeal. Food offerings were exquisitely executed. Service was warm and inviting. Ada is definitely a special occasion destination. A must try on the top of Auckland dining list!

Lovely staff throughout our arrival and service. I initially felt a bit unsure sitting on the high chairs by the chef but it ended up being quite entertaining. Chef Kia out did himself as we love every dish. Went for the bacon fried bread to start with and spotted the friarielli which really brought the dish together. Loved the texture of the potato dough boys gnocchi style dish, had just the right amount of cream but I would have loved more beans/asparagus and less peas. The roasted cauliflower was not as warm as I had hoped but the fennel complimented the dish well and it tasted amazing nonetheless. I would usually have my pork belly crispy so I would probably come back to try the fish instead next time. Also had the pleasure of trying the signature Ada purple lemonade which wasn't too sweet or overpowering, definitely recommend. We ended the night with the chocolate Panna cotta which wasn't really set so it ended up being more on the ice cream side of things. All in all, good experience and a beautiful restaurant with the exposed brick and textured walls. Would likely come back to share the experience with others.

The long lunch is a must of you're in Auckland! They under charge it's ridiculous. Get there before the prices go up. Service was amazing and the place is beautiful but the food is heaven! We had the pleasure of staying overnight so it was nice to just walk up the stairs with over full bellies 🥰🥰

My one and only suggestion for Sunday brunch in Auckland. Delicious food, exquisite atmosphere. (I think the building used to be a monastery.) Arty, chic, upper-mid prices for 2023 (set menu was around $60 per person).

I had the Sunday set menu while staying at the Convent hotel, and enjoyed every single course. Normally this is a sharing menu, but as I was traveling solo, the staff and kitchen kindly accommodated me so that I could have the full experience. The restaurant is buzzy and chic without being stuffy. Definitely a highlight of my trip to Auckland.

Stunning venue, stunning service and stunning food! Might honestly be the best restaurant in Auckland and I’ve eaten at a lot of places in Auckland. Wine selection is great and the portion sizes are the perfect amount! Just go here and try it for yourself, you’ll be in food heaven! Props to the new head chef Kia, he is a culinary genius! 👨🏾‍🍳

Who’d have thought Brussel sprouts could taste soooo good! Beautiful surroundings in this fantastically set out restaurant. Everything on the menu was so well thought through, and was served with phenomenal presentation. Thanks for a great night Ada, i will be back.

The former convent-turned-restaurant exudes an irresistible charm that captivates your attention from the moment you step through the front door. The ambiance is a perfect blend of old-world elegance and whimsical creativity, showcasing the rich history that permeates every corner. As I entered, I was immediately struck by the restaurant's unique character. Dimly lit in areas with chandeliers casted a warm glow, dancing shadows on the exposed brick walls, vintage paintings and artifacts. The space felt cozy yet grand, creating an intimate atmosphere for a memorable dining experience. The staff, greeted me with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The menu was a delightful blend of traditional and innovative dishes, crafted with care and served with finesse. The flavors danced on my palate, taking me on a culinary journey. Overall, whether you're seeking a romantic evening, a gathering with friends, or simply a moment of culinary bliss, this extraordinary establishmentis is worth the visit.

A great setting, in a building and fit-out pretty unique in Auckland. The menu is really interesting, with Italian dishes cooked with Maori influence. The sauces accompanying the hangi pork belly and the cauliflower were outstanding. Staff perfect, attentive without being intrusive. We'll come back!

We had a great Sunday lunch set menu. The food was delicious—each course seemingly more delicious than the last! The decor and space is beautiful and welcoming. My only minor gripe was that the serving staff seemed a little inattentive, but not enough to ruin our meal. I would very much recommend Ada to anyone looking for great food, a great venue and interesting drinks. I will be going again!

Superb food (interesting italian/maori fusion) in a beautiful setting. Excellent sommelier. If the weather is up to it, have a drink beforehand sitting in the evening sun on the balcony of the bar. Decor honours the building's heritage, albeit with a touch of humour.

This evening out was a treat and they lived up to our expectations. We had been recommended this place by friends and the service/food was exceptional. Nice to have to chance to experience a NZ fare/twisted on food. We choose to share our dishes, but you could order for yourself. We loved the sharing experiences, as it enabled us to try all the different dishes and tastes. Fantastic experience. Great selection of drinks/wine/beer, so everyone was happy. Loved the historical setting. Thanks for a lovely evening. Great waitress

What an awesome place for a meal. We loved the atmosphere, the service from our waiter Glen was 1st class and the food from Head chef was outstanding. A wonderful experience for a couple of Aussies in Auckland.

We had a Friday lunch with 5 shared dishes pp $55. Appetizer was seared tuna on toast, was a bit fishy and toast was tough not crispy. Main was very good beef and cooked vegetables that were a little over cooked. Pasta was a bit rich. Dessert was cannoli, really good. For $55 it’s good, service was very good. However they kept bringing up dishes in a disorderly fashion, this affected the mood of eating.

We loved the bar and restaurant setting, the food was impeccable, we got the shared menu. Although felt the dessert was small and underwhelming. Afterward we went to the bar and to start was humming with guests and music. By 9pm people started to leave and the music stopped and staff disappeared and so the vibe wasn’t great and we felt we had to leave. We would have stayed longer otherwise and spent more $, we weren’t rowdy. Restaurant staff were great.
