Their pizzas are crafted fresh right before your eyes in a wood-burning oven, giving them an distinctive and delectable charred flavor. Furthermore, their prices are reasonable given the quality of the food.
Despite the small size of the restaurant and location amidst larger retailers on the ground floor, you can sense the genuine passion that went into decorating this eatery. While Green Door Pizza doesn't offer dine-in options and operates as a counter-service establishment, the quick service makes it an ideal spot for a quick meal on the go.
Though, you should manage your expectations when it comes to the style of pizza they offer. While undeniably delicious, Green Door's pizza has a unique identity that sets it apart from what some critics describe as authentic New York pizza. This distinction is especially noticeable to someone like me, an American New Zealander.
Therefore, when you visit Green Door, approach it with an open mind rather than anticipating a specific pizza style. Doing so will lead to a delightful surprise and a heightened appreciation for their unique culinary offering. I highly recommend that every Aucklander gives Green Door Pizza a try at least once, as it offers the best pizza for its price in the CBD.
New kid on the block and here I am running it was a gem! got the half and half chef's special with prosciutto rocket and truffle and meat lovers it was delicious! 39 dollars for a 16 inch pizza add 2 dollars for half and half wish the slices were smaller as it's too huge nonetheless from the crust to all the toppings the level of quality was worth every penny! wish it won't change got a tiramisu too for 12 dollars the portion was good for 2 and yes creamy coffee goodness will definitely comeback

Used to go to Sal's, but my friend and I tried new pizza in Commercial bay, and absolutely loved it (can't remember the name of the pizza, which contains eggplant, garlic and kale). Very unique and yummy! The service was also great. Highly Recommend.
NYC styled pizza for a nice price. Very enjoyable and yummy. Place was clean and had seating available and the pizza slice was ready in an instant.
Nice work team Green Door. Decent sized slices served quickly. Tasty, no frills. Works well and good value.

The pepperoni and 4 cheese pizzas were 10/10. The only downside is the shop is supposed to open at 11:30am but (at least on the day we were there) that seems aspirational and should probably be "a little bit after noon". Could be staff shortage related, and might not be typical. Again though, pizza was fantastic.
Great food. Generous size and slices for the price. Only two tables at the Commercial Bay branch (is there another).

Mushroom pizza is so delicious. The price is high but I still love it.
I wish I could live nearby to pick up because the box was too large (16 inch pizza) to bring home by bus. I have to order it on Uber with extra price (30% I guess) if I want to buy a whole pizza.
Idk what that lady who requested delivery and complained that the pizza was cold even though green door pizza doesn't do delivery was on about, it's fresher than the fresh prince
One of the best quick eats in the city. We’ve never had to worry about seating, delays with our orders, or bad food. The pizza is always fresh, always good, and always fast- even in busy periods. The tiramisu is also a favourite.
Great Service, friendly staff, and great pizza! Perfect if you’re wanting a quick slice on the go.
